Great team and location

Manager and staff are very friendly and enjoyable to talk with. I have been staying at this hotel for over 15 years. It’s close to central Hillerod by foot where you can find the Toyal summer palace and a few great restaurants. Highly recommend

We stayed one night. We got in late, so the hotel manager knew who we were the minute we walked in. Our room was right down the hall. The hallway to the rooms is interior open space with nice decorations, and our room was right there, very fun classy entryway. Everything was just so neat and precise. It was perfect for getting settled in. The breakfast was beyond anything you ever get in the US. Really exceptional! And any staff we spoke with was polite and friendly and helpful. Top to bottom this is an excellent hotel. 5 Stars no hesitation.

Innovatively designed hotel situated in a quiet area with a nice dining room for eating in, and good breakfast. On the negative side, the bed lamps are ineffective with a very small bulb pointing upwards that could not be adjusted without risk of damage. I would prefer to see dedicated recycling bins in the rooms instead of an instruction to place recyclable items on the table, which I suspect may not be followed by everyone. The beds seem pretty old and would benefit from an upgrade. It would be good to have more plants in the corridor, as I believe there were in the past.

This is an older hotel under the Best Western brand, and its dated quality extends to the attitudes of its staff. On a sunny day, the room gets very warm. Since the building is probably well insulated, it stays that way. There's no air conditioning, and when I went downstairs to ask for a fan, I was told they were all out. So I was stuck sleeping with the windows flung wide open, but no real change in temperature. There's also no vending machines, and their restaurant closes early. I asked the elderly woman at the reception desk if I could please have some ice water. She obliged, nicely enough. I went downstairs a couple hours later and made the same request to the gentleman who replaced her on a new shift. He asked if the previous woman had charged me. I said \"no\". He said he'll see what he could do. He came back with some ice water, but before handing it to me, made sure I understood that this was the last free one I would get, and he'd have to charge me from now on. I stayed in my room the rest of the night, and vowed never to stay at this hotel again when I'm in Denmark.

Comfortable and convenient

The hotel location is very convenient. Good breakfast is included. The hotel has an old section with not so good rooms. But I was upgraded to a nicer room in the newer section of the hotel which was much better. I don't particularly like integrated showers that wet the whole bathroom. But it seems to be common in Europe.

There is NOTHING to eat or drink at this hotel from 10 am until 5:30 pm. No cafe, room service or even a vending machine. The only liquid to drink is water from the sink. No microwave or refrigerator in rooms. We arrived hungry and thirsty and were miserable until the over-priced restaurant opened at 5:30 pm. If you don't have car or don't call a taxi, you will go hungry and thirsty.

Nice, quiet, clean, friendly. Happy there was a kettle for coffee and tea, and especially pleased that we were asked whether or not we would need the room serviced/cleaned while we were there (we didn't). Disappointed that the restaurant was closed for summer vacation, but maybe next time. Very decent breakfast (but no pancakes!)
Would stay there again, thank-you!

Hotel Hillerød was a very nice hotel. An actual person was at the front desk and very friendly and helpful which is rare in Danish hotels, they are usually self check in. Room was very nice, clean, good bedding and had air conditioning! Super nice breakfast with lovely tables outdoors. Great location.

Very close to Favrholm (Novo Nordisk conference facility) which makes the location ideal for many business travelers. Breakfast has plentiful, healthy and delicious. The room was at ground level with direct access out to private small terrase. All in all lovely

The room and facilities were nice, but the wedding in the basement restaurant, directly under our window threw us. The music was extremely loud and went on till around 2:30 in the morning. Probably a nice wedding, but I would have preferred to be located at the other end of the Hotel.

A little gem.

We could not have picked a better spot to spend the night before our cruise from Copenhagen. The entire staff went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay.

Since we did not know where to eat, we used the restaurant attached to the hotel. Again, we were very pleased not only with the selections but the pricing.

Now Denmark and area were experiencing very warm temperatures that they are not accustomed. Their cooling systems cannot handle these temperatures so one should not complain.

The advantage of this hotel is their open, secured courtyard for each room. We opened the door and window to let the cool evening temps cool down the room.

A great big thank you to the staff for a memorable stay.

OK stay but needs renovation

Basic hotel with adequate facilities. Tired looking with worn decor and bathrooms. Mattress was thin and not very comfortable and the curtains were not blackout. Could do with an internal face lift. Wifi was good and staff friendly and helpful. Stayed (more than once) for the location as it is the only hotel in this area.

Worked fine for me. I liked the restaurant. It was cozy and food good. Very personal service. And for Denmark not too expensive. Staff helpful and efficient. Room clean. Internet worked and was fast. Room was cold on arrival but warmed up quickly. I live in Southern Europe so not used to cool weather. Breakfast was fine too. For the price of the room it worked out fine.

Good, but a bit pricey

Nice and different hotel with a kind of atrium path to the rooms. The room was fine with a kitchenette. Was missing floor heating in the bathrooms, though. Morning buffet was OK - a little sparse with no scramble eggs, bacon or sausages. The area around is a bit industrial and you have a bit of a walk to get to the center, but there are busses just outside the hotel. Free parking also.

Good location, bad hotel

The outside is better taken care of than the rooms. I got a false impression. The 2 rooms we had smelled faintly like urine. The rooms are very run down, but I was happy that there was no mold in the shower. I checked for bed-bugs and the mattress was clean, but very old. Beds were comfortable enough. If you look beyond the shoddiness of the furnishings you'll see that the room is clean with the exception of the rug....creepy. A/C is noisy but works well. Unfortunately the pool was out of commission on a hot day. Continental breakfast was the usual packaged products, juices and coffee/tea. Convenient location in the downtown area and enjoyed the easy walk to the restaurants and shops. I chose this motel after reading the reviews of surrounding hotels which didn't rate as high as the Page Boy. I don't know, the other surrounding hotels looked much nicer. I felt this hotel was over priced. I feel it was worth half of what we paid. This hotel would not get a recommendation from me and I wouldn't stay there again.

Hotellet ligger i et kedelig industrikvarter.
Værelserne er slidte og der var fest i nærliggende hal hvor al lyd gik direkte ind, man kunne høre naboerne.
Morgenmaden var middelmådig.
Jeg anvender ikke Best Western igen.

Der var ikke gjort rent efter håndværkerne havde forladt værelset for der lå ravplugs på gulvet. Flere af var stoppet, en ved vasken og den ved badekarret. Det vand der kom ud af badekarret var fyldt med skidt fra rørene

Personal ist freundlich. Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bad, der Teppich und die Betten sind schlecht. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Das Restaurant bietet Fine Dining an für horrende Preise, jedoch sind die Zimmer hingegen low Budget. Im Zimmer war nicht einmal ein Kühlschrank.

Das Frühstück war gut. Es gab einiges zur Auswahl. Jedoch keine Abwechslung. Jeden Tag das Gleiche.

Vi havde et fint ophold på en enkelt nat - værelset var dog rigtigt varmt og ingen mørklægningsgardiner gjorde at børnene havde svært ved at sove. Nogle af lamperne på værelset virkede ikke.
Morgenmaden var virkeligt lækker.

OK hotel ikke meget at klage over. Må man rejser sammen er det rart, at der er lounge,selvom den måske høre til de mindre. Service fra personale er højt i alle led. Morgenmaden ganske udmærket. Hotellets restaurant ser ud til at have gode anmeldelse. Vores selskab på 10 var lidt mindre begejstret. Vi kan dog ikke sige, at maden ikke er god, der måtte dog gerne være lidt mere tilbehør af grønt mm.
