Staff was very friendly and fun. We ate every day at the buffet, which every day they served something different. Only complaint was that at the buffet, they were in a hurry to take your plate and drinks, so we had to make sure one of us stayed at table when the other person went to get dessert. Our room was always well stocked and cleaned every day. Resort was definitely family friendly. Something to do for all ages day and night. Will definitely go back!

The room was not clean every day. One day I requested fro clean towels to one of the cleaning services lady that was next door because I realized when I came back that no one clean my room. She answered me I amnot assignment to that room.
Next the first day when we arrive an the day after we were bombarded by representatives of the hotel trying to sell us so vacation packages. I told them my husband and I are not interested now on that they told us if you help me with that you are helping to feed my family. I told them I don't want to wasted rime of my vacation in any meeting. They still didn't give up. I have to get mad

Very enjoyable, relaxing resort with great food and amenities, but not quite 5-star

We stayed as a couple on our honeymoon and had a very enjoyable, relaxing stay. I’d rate it 8/10 and would return. It is a strong resort for pool/beach relaxation, good food and facilities, but felt more like a very good 4-star than a true 5-star.

First impressions were positive: reception was clean and modern, and the large resort with jungle between both sides added a tropical feel. However, our room was not ready until around 15:50, almost an hour after check-in.

The room was modern, clean and comfortable, with good aircon, water pressure, comfy bed, balcony and free restocked minibar. However, part of the shower and toilet seat were broken, and the room smelled of mould throughout. The TV was limited, with no internet/screen sharing.

Food was a highlight. The buffet had plenty of choice, à la carte added variety, and the teppanyaki stood out. Drinks were strong, with no food safety concerns, and gluten-free options available.

Pools and beach were excellent: clean, relaxed, enough loungers, fresh towels and a picturesque, safe beach close by. Wi-Fi was good, though the gym was small. Public areas were clean and maintained.

Downsides were slow/tip-dependent service, expensive on-site shop/excursions, and limited off-site amenities without Uber/taxis. Overall, a lovely honeymoon stay with great food, facilities and beach access, but room maintenance and service stop it being 5-star.

I give this resort an 8/10. The resort is definitely family friendly, I went with my 11, 9 and 6 yr olds. The rooms were always clean, the pools were spectacular, and beautiful beach. What I didn't like was the buffet, and that they dont spray for mosquitoes at night. The only night we stood to watch a show we got chewed up by mosquitoes after that we never went back to a show. Luckily we were able to get restaurant reservations because like I said before the buffet food was terrible especially breakfast! The pancakes were always rock hard and all they ever made was omelets. Over all it was a nice resort but definitely not great and probably won't go again.

Extremely dissatisfied with my experience at this resort, was such a terrible experience I checked out a day early! The AC did not work our entire time there after alerting the staff multiple times of the issue they informed us that a tech would come to our room within the hour to fix the AC but they NEVER SHOWED. To make matters worse while waiting we requested wash cloths and it took over 2 hours for someone to bring us towels. The overall cleanliness of the room and showers could be improved (around the shower heads and handles to the showers and sinks had rust and
corrosion). We booked a room with double queen beds but received 2 bunk beds (twin size) and one king bed. When sleeping on the lower bunk of the bunk bed noticed holes in the sheets and upon waking up noticed that i had clusters of bites all on my ankles, legs, arms and wrists indicating that there was BED BUGS. The door handle that conjoined the rooms also broke off locking a person in the room with no way out had to call security to get assistance. Overall, this was a bad experience disappointed that I had to cut my vacation short due to all of these issues.

It was in close proximity to the beach. Pools were large. Bar pool a bit murky and loud. Other pool more calm near a nice bar and snacks. Did not go to “kiddie” pool. Had a standard room. Meh. A/c not as good as upgraded rooms. 2 towels and no covers besides a sheet. Drinks ok. Food not good, not many protein choices, and although was not adventurous with food, ended up with a stomach bug for a week. The grounds were pretty and coffee shop good. Overall resort was pretty and people friendly but the food was really bad.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The rooms are spacious. You can set your towel in any of the pools. The Animation Team is fantastic! They teach merengue, and other rythms, play funny games, and engage the people at the pool. You can find whatever you want to eat/drink in the buffet at the Food Market restaurant. We went to the Italian, Mexican, Pilon, FOGO restaurants and the food was good, too.

The property is really pretty, we enjoyed all the animals and garden. The room was ok. We had connecting rooms. One of the rooms was pretty good but the 2nd room was not as great. The air conditioner didn’t work as well. The toilet is this tiny closet looking room that barely has room for you to sit in it. We did see a roaches a couple of times in the restaurants floor. The staff are not very nice. Our only pleasant interactions were with the bell boys. The food is not the best. We wished they offered more options for breakfast and lunch. Overall it was an ok experience for the price we paid.

Overall we had a good time. The check-in was terrible; not enough staff and very disorganized. Our room was small but relatively comfortable. The hotel in general could use an upgrade. Most of he faucets were weather beaten and several toilets in public areas ran constantly. The doors in the public bathrooms did not have handles for you to easily close the door once inside, and the ventilation in the main restaurant and lobby was not adequate. Most of the food was good and had actual flavor. Some of the staff were wonderful (Frank Manuel and Yerlin in the buffet) while others were not quite so friendly. The resort is like a mini nature reserve with iguanas, turtles and varied birds and the grounds are very well maintained.

I don’t usually like making comments like this, but in this case I feel it’s necessary. This hotel is not a 5-star resort as advertised. I traveled from Miami with my family and stayed there about a week ago. I rented two rooms, and both were not well maintained and were not completely clean. The air conditioning was not cooling properly. They moved me to another room, but the AC there was not much better.

On top of that, I had to call several times just to get the towels replaced, and even then it was difficult to get it done. Some of the staff serving food at the buffet were not very friendly. Not everyone, but a few of them were.

Because of this experience, I would not recommend this hotel for a vacation. When you travel, you want to relax and enjoy your stay without dealing with these kinds of issues. I have stayed at other hotels before, and this is the first time I’ve had an experience like this in Punta Cana.

The stay was good. We paid for the VIP and the staff in that area really treated like a VIP. The VIP loungers don’t get wiped down. The was on with food on it all week. I noticed the others on the non vVIP side didn’t either. One couple we met had bed bugs in their room. The staff offer them a VIP dinner. I don’t think the handles in the restroom get disinfected much. I am a hand washing extremist and got pink eye. I didn’t use a towel to open the doors. My mistake. Another couple we met, one of them also got pink eye. All in all the resort is great for kids. We go to Dominican four times a year and usually different resorts each time and we found this one has the most animals that we’ve seen in any resort that we’ve been to. Lots of activities for children. If you have the means, I would suggest getting the VIP. The dinners that come in the two VIP restaurants have magnificent food to choose from including huge lobsters, octopus, and prawn shrimp. The other restaurants that we went to did not have those selections. Also, the VIP restaurant opens at 7 AM and all other others open at 8 AM. All in all it was a good trip for the kids and we enjoyed it ourselves.

We checked in and checked out the next day for our 4 night stay. Unfortunately, the food was not good and not often labeled correctly (what was believed to be beef was pork), all of the à la cart restaurants were fully reserved by the time we checked in, so the only available place to eat was the buffet. The room was nice, the kids pool was also nice, but the bars and snack options are far and take very long to come out. My mother in law got sick after eating a raw cheeseburger. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place until it has some major upgrades, it’s not worth the money spent. I also spoke to other guests who also mentioned the food was terrible

Pero siento que puedes mejorar el servicio, aunque hubieron trabajadores muy amable y serviciales, como Frank en el bufet, había otros que no fueron tan amable, en el edificio F pedí dos almuadas extra para dormir y nunca me las dieron. Our experience at Caribe Deluxe Princess was very disappointing. We paid around $2000 for a stay from Monday to Sunday expecting a relaxing vacation, but instead we spent a large part of our trip dealing with room issues and constant room changes.

First, we had to move rooms because of bathroom problems in our original suite. Then we had to pack and move again after the air conditioning stopped working in the second room. Although the hotel eventually moved us to one of their better suites, we had to wait until 9 PM to finally get settled, which caused us to lose practically another full vacation day.

We appreciate that the hotel tried to resolve the situation with upgrades, but it did not make up for the stress, inconvenience, lost time, and repeated interruptions during our stay. In reality, we only truly enjoyed the very last day before checkout.

We expected much better from a resort at this price point and level. Hopefully management improves room maintenance and the way situations like this are handled for future guests.

We had a very bad experience at this resort. From a check-in full of hassel, phone in the room not working (hence, we can't make calls for room service or otherwise), room not smelling fresh, and no floor towel in the bathrooms (a very dangerous situationfor the kids incase they trip after bath).

I complained about all these issues by taking a cart car to the reception, yet, up until our check-out, it wasn't fixed.

That said, their foods aren't nice nor delicious. The meats are often very salty, while they have limited options. Additionally, I found that most of their members of staff are not willing to help nor interested in helping you out when you ask them a question.

I have experienced another beach resort in Punta Cana with a better service and excellent food options.

When checking out, I asked how can they compensate us for the bad experience? I suggested a drop-off to the airport, however, to my surprise they declined and didn't show any remorse.

Aside the above issues, I will not recommend this place because their facilities are a bit old.

The one thing myself and wife thoroughly enjoyed was the couple massage. The masseuse were very good and know their job. Only the message was the highlight for us.

Friendly staff, good location. Even though most of it looked good, some minor repairs and maintenance need to be done. Roof leaks, pools need more cleaning and repairs. Buffet was good but restaurants could be better. Entrees were cold and already prepared. Not as fresh as it should be. Bottled water should be available for guests at all times. Night shows need more variety like live music. Lobby area furniture was stained and outdated. Trolley boarding needs more organization. Due to the rushing of people trying to board, my husband cut his leg with an exposed metal object and needed medical treatment. This was a setback on our plans for the rest of our stay. Overall, our experience was good.

This is our second time traveling to this resort with children. This is a beautiful resort that has all the basics like pools, children’s pool area, and beach/ocean access. The downsides this time around will make us consider other resorts if we are to travel to the DR. The WiFi is weak and turns off often. The hot/warm water doesn’t work in the showers after 10pm. One day we stayed in the room at lunchtime and realized that the a/c stayed off- perhaps reserving a/c usage during the daytime making it too hot to stay in the room. Finally, upon check out, the bell boys never came so we walked with our luggages all the way to the front because they couldn’t keep up with the demand. The food is alright, the buffet has many options. The restaurants were mediocre and hard to book. Overall had a good stay but there’s areas to improve in.

We had such a wonderful experience at Princess Tropical Deluxe all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and that warmth continued throughout our entire stay. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile.

The resort itself was beautiful—well maintained grounds, a stunning beach, and plenty of spaces to relax or enjoy activities. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with everything we needed to feel at home.

There was a great variety of food options, and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. The restaurants offered a nice mix of cuisines, and the service was consistently excellent.

Overall, it was a relaxing, enjoyable getaway, and we left feeling refreshed and well taken care of. We would absolutely return (this was our second time there) and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a stress-free vacation in Punta Cana.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tropical Deluxe Resort. The property is beautiful, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. Yelenny and the the massagist were very helpful and offer a great customer service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was solid with good variety at the buffet, and the a la carte restaurants were a nice touch. We really didn’t like the Brazilian Restaurant but Drinks were strong and service at the bars was fast and friendly. The pools and beach were well kept.

Only reasons it’s not 5 stars: dinner reservations were hard to get, and some areas of the resort could use updating. WiFi was spotty in our room.

Overall, great value for an all-inclusive. Would come back and recommend it to friends/family wanting a relaxing getaway without any major issues.

The property it self was very nice and clean. The night entertainment was very nice. Kids club was horrible. We have been to other princess resorts and this one is in the lower end. My wife had food poisoning on the second day there from eating at the snack bar. There was no stuff by the pools or beach you had to go get your drinks yourself and don’t waste your time at the restaurant the buffet was much better. It wasn’t the worst all inclusive resort we been too and definitely not the best. Will not be but.

A must stay resort! I was very impressed with the property. Absolutely beautiful place. The staff was were always so friendly everywhere you went on the property. Rooms were always clean. Food was actually very good! No complaints. One minor issue, when we arrived to our room we realized our phone did not work....unfortunately we had to go to reception desk every single day to ask for a new phone. Receptionist always called someone and they would send a guy to fix it the next day..Never did. Went the whole week without a working phone. The night before our departure we had to physically make a reservation for luggage pickup in the morning. Thankfully the 2 workers came that morning to retrieve our luggage.
Overall, our experience was lovely. We will definetly come back to this resort

Resort quality met my expectations with 3 pools, onsite beach access with several built-in beach cabanas, plentiful bars, and restaurants.

Kids have a good play area. Kids club is drop off and pick up only. No scheduled or day long activities outside of a handful of events.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet is solid. Kids had lots of good options and they tried new food. Buffet does get repetitive after 5-6 days though.

Location is far away from any real walkable area. If we go back to the DR, I recommend a different hotel if you want to leave the resort area.

Rooms are decent though had some maintenance issues with TVs and toilets. A dated resort but still has good quality staff.

The room was clean but smelled like mildew, low shower pressure, resort property overall was nice but needed some repairs here and there. Staff was very friendly. Family resort but definitely lacked entertainment and the dancing contests are not kid friendly! Beach was gorgeous and clean and definitely one of the highlights. Food was mediocre at best and very hard to get a reservation at the restaurants. I don’t see my family and I returning to this resort.

Do not waste your money on this property! Not a 5 start by any means! There is not enough space for me and my family to write about everything and anything that was wrong from the minute we checked in to time of departure and during our stay! The only reason I have not given a 1 star is because one of the managers tried her best to remediate some of the issues but the issues still persisted!

Very gorgeous place beaches are clean and safe, staff is friendly food is ok, internet or wifi was very slow had trouble booking for restaurants. But over all place is great.

We have been to the Dominican Republic many times and this has been the most terrible experience. From unfriendly and unprepared staff, poor quality food, to lack of proper room cleaning and necessities. Dirty tables at the restaurant and if one gets there close to closing time, thee are very limited items to eat. The most shocking of all was the staff. Terrible attitude, we felt as if we were bothering them just by being there.
We will never return to this resort and we will ensure that we spread the word about the terrible quality of what we have experienced so no one can go through what we went through.

Just back from an amazing trip to Tropical Deluxe Princess and I'm still on cloud nine 💕! Exceeded all expectations - stunning views, top-notch service, and an incredible atmosphere. The room was a dream, and the staff went above and beyond.

The staff was nice and polite, the resort grounds and the pool was great, the room was not so, the air conditioner didn’t work so it was super hot in our room, when we went to use the phone in the room to call the front desk to let them know about the AC the phone didn’t work lol, the shower door handle was broken , the tv remote didn’t work it was just a lot, we went to the front desk the next day to tell them about all the things that was wrong, they said that someone will come to fix it, we were there for 5 days and nothing ever got fixed.

The food and overall vibe were good, and the area was beautiful. However, the room was not clean, the room service was poor, and the staff were not very friendly unless they expected a tip. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

There were activities for all ages. There is way too much walking to get from one spot to another. I think it's unnecessarily spaced out. They do have a shuttle, but waiting for that every time you want to eat, go to your room, or pool can be time-consuming or annoying. etc. The property Jacuzzi wasn't heated, and the water had foamy yellow crap floating in it. The pool was dirty as well, with green algae or something in it. Our concierge kind of finessed us of some time because he signed us up for a presentation in order to get commission on bringing customers to a time share selling pitch in the resort which required us to have lunch and spend hours upon hours being explained in detail about a time share that they wouldn't tell us the price to until about 3 hours in eventhough we asked numerous times. So we wasted some vacation time on that. The 24-hour bar is cool, and the staff and bartenders are the BEST staff I've ever experienced at a resort so far. BUT THE FOOD IS NOT GOOD THERE!!!! It is unapologetically bad, to the point where we knew to watch people's reactions when they came in, ordered, and took a first bite of their food. The toilets in the rooms are not in a full bathroom; The room is set up like a studio with two stalls, one stall being the toilet, and the other being a shower. The toilet stall is so small that you cannot close the door while you're on the toilet doing your business. So you MUST be comfy with whoever you come with.

The facility was beautiful but it was lacking cleanliness. The rooms we stayed at wasn’t clean. It was dusty and found some hair. The pillows smelled funky. The room service was everyday but they only fold the bedsheets and take out garbages, they don’t re-sweep the floor, or if they do, it was done poorly. They also don’t clean them on consistent times of the every day so there were times we came back later in the afternoon and they were still cleaning. Some of the dining staff took a while to get water/coffee refills. Food was good but if you stay there for a while the food is almost all the same everyday.

I recently stayed at Tropical Hotel in Punta Cana, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.

The biggest issue was the air conditioning. It was not working properly in my room, and even after requesting a room change, the problem continued. This made the stay extremely uncomfortable.

Additionally, the food quality was poor. The banquet options were very limited, and the menu was repetitive — it felt like the same meals were being served every day, with little variety or freshness. And nor WiFi even when I paid $12 more

The amenities were just okay, nothing special or worth highlighting. Overall, the hotel did not meet my expectations at all.

I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

The dining staff in the Platinum Outside dining room was excellent. Adargisa and her team: Flor, Jhoan and the others were exemplary. The buffet food however has to be revamped! The rice was hard everyday, most dishes were bland in flavor and they serve the same thing everyday. The Brazilian restaurant was not good and the Dominican Restaurant El Pilon needs to serve “real” traditional dishes, and of importance they must stop pouring sauces on traditional dishes. Dominicans nor Latinos eat Mofongo with white cheese sauce or fish with pink sauce - those were not traditional dishes. Nevertheless the resort is beautiful, staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and make sure you have a good time at the pool, the beach, the shows or at the lobby in the evenings. If they address the food issue it will be a perfect resort!

What they don’t tell you about this “all inclusive” offer when you book, is that there’s a vip all inclusive option for more money when you book at the hotel. This is the actual all-inclusive experience. The all inclusive option that’s booked on Expedia is not really all inclusive. The restaurants can only be booked and reserved after check-in, but the issue is most of the options are already taken when you check in. We made reservations for restaurants just to be told at the restaurant that there weren’t reservations. After going to guest services, they told us it was a system glitch. At the time there were no available options for food, no apology, and no rectification.
Some of the staff are nice, but most of them have an attitude and don’t seem like they want to work.

Our rooms balcony door was broken thus affecting the AC ability to work.

Personally, I love the DR however, I would not stay here the next time I visit.

Very clean room and facilities everywhere. All of the staff were amazing, with the exception of the concierge who were horribly annoying and trying to get you to sit in on presentations. The grounds were impeccable and tons of animal life: peacocks, flamingos, ducks, turtles, fish, iguanas. Foam pool parties, entertainment every night at the theater, archery and dart competitions, outdoor giant chess set. There was tons to do that wasn't just pool or beach. The swim up bar was great, and all the food at the buffet was really good! You can tell that the staff enjoy working there because they are all really pleasant and always helpful.
