This hotel is truly special. The beautiful coloured steps with inspirational words, the coloured padlocks all over the fence and gates, and colourful flags above the courtyard.
I also really appreciated having a cute little pool and staffed bar onsite.
The rooms were bright and colourful with either two queen beds or one king, and had balconies if you were on the second or third floor. We found the beds comfortable, the fridge a good size and the microwave helpful. Had stocked stand up shower with daily housekeeping available.
And above all. THE Location can’t be beat. Will stay here again!

Fantastic location right around the corner from the thump thump of the gay bars but quiet and peaceful inside the hotel. Friendly and efficient staff. Jorge is a wonderful bartender and great guide. You could stay two weeks, eat at a different restaurant within two blocks for every meal, be perfectly satisfied with each one, and still not have scratched the surface. Also the whole area feels perfectly safe.

Great location and friendly staff. However, one of the most uncomfortable beds I've experienced. After a brutal first night's sleep, I asked whether they had a mattress topper and they didn't, so sleeping remained difficult. I wouldn't return unless they upgrade the bedding.

Just left after a 10 night stay. This boutique hotel was awesome from the moment we walked in. The staff were so nice and welcoming and always engaging in conversation if you want each day. The pool and loungers are great as well as the room and patio. The adults only vibe is nice as they have music playing at pool. It is right in the heart of zone romantica but super quiet at night. Everything was in good working order in our room and we had a patio which was great. High recommend this place.

The hotel is very colorful and quiet despite the fact it's right at central area. 5 mins walks from the Pier, the beaches and close to all restaurants and bars. The hotel facility is clean, room is spacious and clean as well. Continental breakfast included. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. I don’t think it is humanly possible to have more fun staying somewhere, Casa Maria was a delight in every way, but mostly for the staff and other guests. I met people to go out with every night, and every night was a party.

Super cute boutique hotel 1½ blocks from the beach in the heart of Zona Romantica. I really can't say enough good about this place: the staff is so kind helpful and fun, the location in the Zona is superb, the decor is beautiful fun and vibrant, the pool and courtyard are spotlessly clean and perfectly maintained just like the rooms... we absolutely loved our stay and plan to go back just like you will if you go. My only caution would be for people with mobility issues, if you're familiar with PV you know there are areas that get very steep and the sidewalk in front of the hotel has some pretty steep stairs so be aware of that if it could be a concern for you.

Casa Maria is a small and lovely hotel in the Zona Romantica neighborhood. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. There is a cafe/bakery that offers a complimentary breakfast which includes beautifully presented fruits, granola, bread, jam and yogurt. The decor is colorful and fun. It is about 2 blocks away from Playa De Los Muertos Pier, but feels quiet and tucked away for being in such a popular area. The staff offered guidance and advice on things to do, since this was our first visit to Mexico. We cannot wait to return!

Stayed for two weeks. Extremely friendly staff. Very clean. About a 5 min walk to the pier on the beach, and if you take the stairs short cut, it is only 10 mins to get to the popular streets with good restaurants and lgbt bars. I would stay here again!

Casa Maria was a very nice place to stay. The rooms were extremely clean and freshly painted. So was the entire hotel for that matter. The staff were outstanding and very accommodating. I had a later return flight and I was able to take a later than check out shower. The location was excellent. I stayed in one of the few pool side suites. The pool was 12' from my door. The water was not heated but always clean. They even helped with a ride back to the airport. The breakfast was a nice arrangement of a small amount of fruit and simple scrambled eggs. Although I only had it a few times (opted for ranchero's down the block which are my fav).
The only negative was the poolside rooms did not block a lot of sound so room to room and outside noise was noticeable. I've stayed in many rooms in Mexico and this was one of the tops.
