Beautiful building. Staff are trainees from catering school so said their best but service was not what you would expect for that price. Rooms a bit shabby but historic. WiFi terrible. No-one to help with bags. Afraid we wouldn’t go back.

Very nice hotel, plenty of parking, if driving. Lovely gardens, loads of roses.
Booked a junior suite, nothing wrong with room, other than minimal storage i.e. about half a wardrobe, with the safe in it.
Be aware, don't know if true all time, but menu was in place for the month, I assume, as they use hotel for training chefs.
Food was good.
There is another restaurant about 10-15 mins walk away, which is also good. Otherwise, bit of a journey to eat.
Both restaurants, get booked up weekends/busy times!
Enjoyed the stay in the hotel and visiting Namur, I did not know Belgium had so many hills.

Enjoyed staying at the hotel. Room was good, staff nice and parking a big bonus.
Recommend that the bar is revamped to make it a bit more welcoming. Also, maps should perhaps be given on arrival to show how to get to nearby cable-car and provide a map of the town.
Hotel room charge was good value but evening meal at the restaurant was expensive (given that it seems to be a staff training facility)

Excellent hotel. Executive room was very spacious. Only down side was room was very hot and as the air conditioning is centrally controlled I could not reduce the temperature. This meant a few sleepless nights. It changes next week I’m told. I do not think this is acceptable. The room temperature should be controlled independently. No public transport to town in the evenings so had to rely on car. Gondola available during day and is a good way to visit the town. Really positive stay, just need to sort out the air conditioning issue.

There are a lot of things nearby, venture out

I felt like I had done research on the property but there were things that we did not learn until the last day so I hope you read this and you will know right away. This hotel was beautiful and the grounds are extremely peaceful. The staff were always the most friendly people ever. What we didnt know was that within walking distance for relatively healthy people, there is a gondola that takes you right down the mountain to a square. It was a surprise to add to our trip and we couldn't believe how close it was. We had been walking in circles on the grounds which are beautiful but exploring the city was at out finger tips and we didn't know until the last morning. The gondola takes you over the citadel. It's an amazing view.

Free parking, cute chateau. The restaurant looked very nice, but needed to have a reservation for it. Drinks at the bar were reasonably priced. I would stay here again. Walking distance to the Citadel and then the cable cars that will take you to downtown Namur (5 or 7.5 euros per person).

The dinner in the restaurant was absolutely 1st class and very good value for money. The bedroom and bathroom facilities were at least 5 star. The only negative was the unimpressive ambiance of the entrance are and the bar (2 stars). . But perhaps these are work in progress.

Absolutely horrible experience. Received e-mail 1,5 hour before check-in that they could not provide the confirmed double room and had to move us to room with single beds. This was, after some dialogue with reception, solved. Had overpriced lukewarm dinner in restaurant, which btw refused to offer room service on Christmas night (a service normally available).

This was an interesting place with the restaurant and other service provided by students. The hotel was a nice modern facility in a spectacular location. Good dinner.
The room key was a champagne cork that operated the room lights. Confusing.

Trying to be something it isn't. Alice in Wonderland thinking best describes the experience. Quirky lighting and key fob but atmosphere in bar and dining room dead. Dinner service was incredibly slow. It is a training hotel for new staff. I feel sorry for them. Everyone seemed new. The room had not been properly checked. TV signal on/off. A/C now heating so if too hot - tough...

Large rooms, but pretentious neo-baroque style with gadgetry gimmicks, such as fancy door keys and lights. Yet the gardens were neglected and the modern bathroom didn’t have a soft-close toilet seat. Dinner was good, but very expensive. Breakfast was not the best we’ve ever had and there were only two members of staff visible. Could be better with more attention to detail. This was a free nights for us, but we wouldn’t pay to go again.

Charming chateau completely renovated. High-tech rooms and modern bathroom. The property serves as a school for hotel staff, and that means you might run into small service mistakes made by the eager but inexperienced students.

The air conditioning in the bedrooms is excellent, and that really made a difference for us during the heat wave that hit the area while we were there. Sadly, the restaurant on the ground floor had no air conditioning and only one electric fan on top of a counter... on such warm days, that was not enough.

A great hotel, maybe a little ‘top-show’ and only let down by lack of toiletries in the rooms, I wouldn’t expect squeezy hand soap in a hotel like this! Great room though and the breakfast and dinners we had ther were superb. It gets busy with corporate events but the staff do their best to keep all this away from normal guests. It’s a bit isolated so you’ll need the car to explore.

With a commanding, airy position on top of the hill one gets unbroken views over the city and beyond. Surrounded by green parkland and a botanical garden at the side the setting is lovely.
Corridors are as wide as rooms in smaller establishments and rooms are spacious and modern. Meals in the restaurant are very good and the young staff-many of whom are being trained in hospitality at the hotel- are friendly and hard working.

Interesting the reception was easy and the service staff spoke English. The bedroom was very comfortable the television was very small and they had a weird electronic way of getting into the room and lights. The hotel seem to have spent too much on the mood lighting and champagne cabinet that hummed all night on the wall. The hotel could have spent the money on an up grade to the shower recess and more water pressure. The bath towels could have been larger and fluffier or could have supplied two smaller towels each instead of one small one for each person. This was the big let down of the whole experience compared to other hotels we have stayed at. Overall it was comfortable.

The hotel itself was great and the rooms were comfortable and had lots of room. Breakfast was a nice plus. Dinner in the hotel was good, but not great for the price.

The hotel service was below average. When inquiring about things to see and do in the area at the front desk, we were tossed a Namur pamphlet and ignored. A few other awkward interactions occurred which is somewhat expected with a teaching institution and students, but we never felt welcome.

Superb! Most enjoyable stay! We'd been warned ahead of time that there was to be a wedding reception while we were there. The hotel had given us a chance to book elsewhere, but after we confirmed our stay, they put us in a great room as far away as possible from the festivities. The room was beautiful, very stylish, clean and comfortable. Good Wifi. The chateau itself is beautiful and in a great location, only 30 minutes walk from the centre of town. Lots of parking. Breakfast (not included in the price) was wonderful and took us through to dinner that evening. Fantastique!

Very pleased with our stay at the hotel. Staff very friendly. Food excellent.
One minor thing. It took eternity for staff in the restaurant to take our first order; however, once serving started it was first class. One member in our group of four had a special [muslim] meal request, and she had to wait while we had champagne, pre-pre starter, pre-starter, and starter, and...Finally, when we got our main course, she was half dead from starvation.....It would have been appreciated if staff could have deviated from textbook serving dogma.

Fabulous hotel in a great location

We stayed overnight, the location fantastic and hotel fabulous, greeted on arrival by English speaking receptionist with everything explained easily. The Dinner was superb but We had two issues, the restaurant staff spoke little English and we spoke little french so very difficult to make ourselves understood, the second being the cost of breakfast at 15euro each. The price of the hotel was extremely good value and we would stay again and spend more time in the area.

If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable hotel, this is your place. The area is beautiful, at the top of a hill overlooking the towns of Namur and Jambes. Trees, however, block the view from the hill. If you are blessed with sunny weather, eating on the terrasse is a real treat. Ideal for walking, biking, tennis and resting. Food served by nearby hotel and cuisine school students is usually very good.

Hotel est un peu vieillot mais agréable. Le seul point négatif pour moi est la salle de sport où il n’y avait pas de poids libres ni de barre avec des poids interchangeables. Le personnel est très agréable, et vraiment à disposition de la clientèle. Très bon accueil.

Slottet är renoverat och omvandlat till hotell, tyvärr inget bevarat av den gamla slottsmiljön. Heltäckningsmattor, plastiga fåtöljer och ljussättningen bidrog till detta. Interiören kunde vara vilken hotellkedja som helst, en liten besvikelse. Sängkomfort, service och frukost var dock utmärkt.

Nice location but the rooms were terribly overheated (26 degrees!!). The first night this could not be fixed and we were advised \"to sleep with the windows open\". This caused the next problem as dozens of mosquitos flooded the room and kept us up all night, also the airco did not work. We could get another room but had to pay 10 euro's extra. Strange as this was their problem, so bad service!!

Absolutely a stunning location, overviewing the city and river. Magnificent building. Rooms are very spacious and staff is professional. I have been staying in this hotel over the past 10 years several times. Although the hotel is still clean, it starts to get a bit outdated. During my recent stays I also noticed the buzzing sound of electric installations and there are, since a while works around the hotel which wake me up in the morning. Maybe time for some renovations?

Das Zimmer war sehr klein und hatte ein winziges Fenster. Deswegen war es auch tagsüber dunkel. Nachts war die indirekte Beleuchtung an den Lichtschaltern zu hell und das Fenster ließ sich nicht abdunkeln. Nie wieder!
