Great location- very close to Cathederal. Lovely restaurant across the street a few steps away and another next door for breakfast- also two bars beside the hotel. Everything you need on the doorstep.

A little disappointing

Hotel in very good location and was pretty comfortable. However we were a little disappointed with some aspects of our stay. Breakfast was not good for the price. Not a great selection, no freshly squeezed orange juice, which we had everywhere else in Spain. Hot food not good. No decaf coffee apart from instant. Shower tray felt flexible when you stood on it. Pillows not very comfortable. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

A superb location, knowledgable and friendly staff, and an amazing room. It was really refreshing to be in a hotel with staff who are attentive, kind, and down-to-earth. I would completely recommend staying here and I would very happily book this hotel again in the future!

We had an amazing experience at this hotel, thanks to Alexandra's excellent welcome. She provided us with a map and recommended places to visit, which was incredibly helpful for our first visit to Santiago. The hotel was very clean, our room was spacious and comfortable, and the room service was top-notch. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.

Hotel is in the center of the historic area close to the cathedral. It’s on a narrow street filled with walkers but a taxi can get to the door. The staff is wonderful and the breakfast was good. We had the “basic room” which was small but fine with a very clean bathroom. Walk to many restaurants.

The Hotel Carris is in a wonderful location -- near the center of the old town and just a short walk to the Cathedral. The room was small, but was comfortable for two. The staff was extremely helpful and warm. The only quibble: the water temperature in the shower was finicky.

Our 2nd 3-day stay and we live this hotel. Staff is most helpful, made reservations for us for a tour to Finisterre, also booked a taxi to the airport. Fabulous location, several bar’s & restaurants just steps away and the Cathedral is about 100 feet away. Amazing how quiet our room was considering all that was around us. Pedestrian only street helps. Mattress very comfy, slept great. Breakfast complete & very good.

Super helpful staff at the front desk, very comfortable beds, all was clean and well cared for, walkable location within the old city, loved being in such an easy spot especially after completing the long Camino trek! Even a laundromat right next door, bonus. My room happened to be quite dark as the window was tiny, which I didn’t love, but it’s a medieval building so the architecture is what it is is. The hotel overall is very modern, all amenities are great. Definitely recommend.

This hotel exceeded all of my needs in a place to stay. The location is perfect! I had an interior room which was completely sound proof, with double shutters and blackout curtains so it was pitch black at night. The staff was so helpful in booking my early morning taxi, and they even boxed up my breakfast to take with me. I will definitely stay here again next time I complete one of the Camino routes. Buen camino!

Las personas recepción son súper atentas, nos orientaron sobre las zonas y alrededores incluso nos dieron un mapa con los puntos a visitar.
Al hacer el check-in, vieron que traíamos dos maletas grandes y nos hicieron un upgrade de cortesía (sin costo) a una habitación superior a la que habíamos reservado con mayor espacio.

The hotel is within walking distance of the Cathedral and close to shopping and good places to eat. The room was a bit cozy but comfortable and quiet at night. Breakfast was good and the staff were very nice and accommodating. We had to leave quite early our last day and they offered us a picnic breakfast to take with us. Quite nice. This is a very nice hotel in an excellent location right in the center of the historic district. You are minutes from the cathedral and surrounded by great restaurants including Cervantes across the street! The rooms are quite small even for one person and as I was on the ground floor the was no view apart from the bins outside. Hotel has no parking and offsite parking is 400 meters away—a hassle if it’s raining or if you have large bags. We were given directions on how to drop off bags but the street is narrow with a lot of pedestrians. Our room had no windows but we did have a skylight. Room and property were clean.

Our room was quaint, on the attic level with a lovely skylight and another window that could open look out over the roof line with one of the cathedral towers in view. We loved it. Very modern and clean. Perfect location. Excellent breakfast.

Not good for drivers

Nice hotel just blocks from the cathedral. However parking is far away and you have to haul your stuff up the hill. I eould not recommend this hotel for drivers. Breakfast room closed due to Covid, so you have to eat a sub-par breakfast in your room, with no table and chairs.

Great stay in Santiago

Good hotel for a stay in Santiago. The hotel is very well located for old town, check in was easy with friendly welcoming staff.
The room was quite large and had an extra part with bean bags and a table that looked on to the street.
Breakfast was brought to our room due to Covid but this works well and give your coffee order and time you want served the night before. The breakfast had a big selection.

The only small problem with the room was the internal bathroom had a window in to the room. There was a blind but we couldn’t work out how to close it but it was no big issue really.

Check out was fast and again staff very helpful and kept our bags for the morning.
