This was a totally serviceable stop for the night; the staff was friendly, the space was clean. One very charming detail our kids loved was the Aviary, a little nook filled with parakeets and canaries in dozens of birdhouses. My only real complaint was the flourescent lighting throughout the hotel, which made the space feel uninviting and made us want to move along.

Overall, a fine place to stay that could be really cozy with a few warming touches.

The rooms are too small. The bathroom was a joke, it felt like a RV bathroom. The bed was really hard and it wasn’t level. The small grass area they have for your dog to use is in a very busy loud parking lot. My dog was afraid to use it.
We will be staying somewhere else next time we go down that way. The staff were friendly enough.

Not a secure place to stay, homeless people around, is unbelievable that they don’t have security cameras in main entrance of second building, my truck was parked there and someone broke into my truck and stole two travel bags with all my stuff on them. Staff only said “ we are working on installing security cameras on that building “. Not recommended

Parking is plentiful and had trailer spots. The hotel is off the main road and therefore quiet. The dog area has talk grass and is large enough. The need was so comfy and the shower was amazing; hot and powerful.

The staff were amazing but all of the rooms for our group smelt like ashtray.. and I am not sensitive to smoke. Other than that the only challenge was the wifi. Basically so slow you were better off using your cell signal.

Parking was made easy for us as we were on motorcycles, and the breakfast was good/standard.

Fresh, well kept property.

Overall the property is well kept, and appears refreshed.

Room was quiet, bed comfortable, but innerspring mattress seemed dated. Mattress pad slips around and bunches up.

Housekeeping did not put hand soap in sink area. The faucet is missing a filter, so water sprays everywhere ....pressure is excellent. Sinks are way too short for taller people....just sayin' .
Apparently there should be a comfortable chair to lounge in by the lamp in the corner, but was missing. Instead, someone put two office chairs at the desk area?

I am a tour guide and travel a lot, so I notice details....they matter!!

Worst stay I’ve ever had at a best western. I travel for work all around the world, I would have much rather slept in my rental car. I called front desk asking to be changed rooms, they said no. In the morning they told me they have had previous feedback about rooms, but have done nothing ever than spray perfume to mask mildew, and smoke smells

If you are bringing your pet, make sure only two double bed room is allowing pet. The two queen bed suite does not allow pet which is not clearly labeled on the website. We got downgraded to a two double bed room and no refund for the rate difference because we booked through orbitz. I think it should be labeled out on the room type which are pet friendly, not only says in the pet policy that “ only certain rooms” not “ only certain room types” are pet friendly.

We booked double bed room that fit for four and we got charged for 3rd person. Not sure this is common policy but among all the 5 or 6 motels we stayed in California, Oregon and Washington, this is the only motel that charges for 3rd person. Also, the room is quite small and apparently someone smoked in there before we move in, although the motel is smoking free and will charge a fee for someone who does. Overall I expect better from best western as other motels cross street all look ok but cost less.

This is always a stopover place for us on our way from Oregon to Southern California. We love the pool and koi pond and the aviary. So easy to find. Close to gas and coffee for the next leg of the journey. Love that they start breakfast at 6am!

You have a few places to choose from red Bluff. This is one of the better ones. Fun for kids, there is a birdcage and Koi fish, Pool, but no Spa.
Rooms are OK nothing to brag about but clean.
Decent location with a lot of choices of restaurants nearby.

The aviary was great. The birds, a population of finches, budgies, and one cockatiel (maybe two) appeared happy as they were taking care of themselves and getting along with one another, nesting, etc. One of the cockatiels has a terrible beak issue from prior trauma, and I hope that will be addressed; s/he is not as able to care for him/herself, as you can see from feather condition.

Restaurant right next door is quite bad, though the staff there is sweet.

Great overnight spot for us!

Lisa at check-in was awesome - let my little girls use the employee restroom as we were not checked in yet. She also helped us get our devices charged as the USB didn't work in our room.

Loved the pool hours - got a swim session in before check out and our long road trip.

Breakfast was fairly good - my girls loved the breakfast sausages the best...waffles were a close second.

Walking distance to McD's and lots of restaurants was a huge plus.

Aviary was fun - never have seen one at a hotel before.

This hotel is fairly nice. The room is spacious and up to date. The bed was comfortable and clean. The seating area in the room was a nice touch. I enjoyed the koi pond and birds. The area is quite warm and the AC worked well!

When we arrived to our room there was a bunch of trays of pasta in our fridge, which smelled strongly upon opening the fridge door. I couldn't find a trash can upstairs that they would fit in, so I went to the front desk and was given a bag to put them in and bring them back. The staff member immediately offered us a different room, which was nice, but not needed.

While the facility itself was acceptable, the area of Red Bluff is seriously janky and rundown! Worried for my car at night, kind of neighborhood!
Also, why do I need to use my keycard to get into the breakfast room when it’s INSIDE the hotel? That was weird. Breakfast offerings were many, but eggs were cold and the muffins, including English muffins, were stale!

I really appreciated the Tesla Chargers in the parking lot. Those were a big reason why I chose this hotel on our road trip. I really like the red light in the bathroom that is built into the hair dryer mount on the wall. One thing I wish the room had was black out curtains because the parking lot is well lit which is great until it shines into your room. The wood blinds look nice but don't keep out enough light.

Been in many hotels in the past, by far the best. It was surprisingly clean, not the cleanest, but that could've been anything. The breakfast was SO good, I actually had more than a small snack there for once. The showers had the best setup. Instead of small bottles, they have full-sized bottles on the wall (to prevent theft) that last more than two showers. Really handy if you're here for a lot of work and need to wash constantly. They provide HDMI cables in the rooms for the TV and directions to set it up. Service was great and helpful. The aviary and koi pond were a great addition, and were next to the pool. Combined with the atmosphere, by far my favorite hotel I've been in. All for a great price too.

Stayed in a pet friendly room which wasn’t cleaned to my liking. There looked to be a urine stain on the wall from a cat. I always bring cleaning supplies for my animal in case of accidents, so I cleaned the stain. Wasn’t upset about it, but I felt like I should share that maybe they don’t clean animal friendly rooms as well as the others? Anyways, clean gym, no free weights but the cardio machines all worked and had a water fountain inside. Breakfast choices were the same daily except for the change of omelet to scrambled eggs, or sausage links to potatoes. Staff was friendly and attentive to guests. Pool was freezing cold, had algae, leaves in the filter, obvious they don’t clean that area often, little gross to me and when I realized I didn’t go swimming again. But overall TV and WiFi worked great so I would stay here again, hopefully the room/pool is cleaner next time.

Front desk was very welcoming & helpful upon arrival. I was able to check in early after my three hour drive to town. Later during the stay, another front desk clerk was also very helpful & found batteries for our TV remote, saving us a trip to the nearest gas station/store.
