The hotel is well located in the centre of the Black Forest town of Bad Herrenalb. The hotel is the perfect spot to discover the cultural region of Baden-Baden and the technology region of Karlsruhe.
Guests are invited to enjoy the beautiful nature park of the northern Black Forest. Restaurants, bars, pubs, the bus station and shopping venues are all approximately a 1-minute walk from the establishment.
The railway station is some 200 m from the hotel. This attractive 36-room historic hotel offers comfortable accommodation.

perfect place to explore the beautiful area for a few days. Very clean, cozy, and convenient Hotel, walking distance to shops and restaurants etc. Fantastic breakfast that gets served in the cozy, traditional Black Forest \"Jaeger Stube\". Location is central but very safe and quiet.

Dated and archaic. TV in corner of ceiling was only a 12\" screen. Beds were not comfortable. Internet service only came in if you were standing next to the reception desk. Getting in and out of the shower was a dangerous balancing act.

I don't mind old fashioned, but do mind if the place. The hotel has not been changed since the 50s? The place is so depressing, and we didn't want to stay in the room other than sleeping, checked out as soon as we got up.

Hotel was clean and rooms were of a good size. Location was perfect next to bars and resturants but in a side street so noise was never a problem. In fact it was very peaceful. The breakfast served each morning was amazing lots of hot coffee, german breads, cheese, eggs, cereal , and a large selection of cold meats. The only down side to this hotel is that it's a bit dated and could do with a lick of paint but don't let that put you off. All in all a great hotel for the price you pay.

I would recommend the Kull von Schmidsfelden hotel and my experience was very good. The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and the center of town. The owners are friendly and speak English. The breakfast that comes with the room was excellent and better than expected. The hotel is a good value for the money. The room was clean, had a TV and the bathroom was updated.

Although this was an older style hotel, it was really cute and the owners were extremely helpful. it was located in a really great spot in the city, which was close to many restaurants and stores. The rooms were small but still nice and cozy. We really enjoyed staying there!

It is a nice hotel with everything you want from a small town hotel.
The room is clean and exactly like in pictures.

Although a little dated, the hotel was very comfortable and the owners/hosts were very accomodating, even offering a lift to the station when we had an early train to catch. Breakfast was the usual good quality German style buffet with good breads, meats and cheeses, as well as the usual cereals, juices, fruit etc. Overall, ideal and very good value if you want a relaxing stay in a quiet German spa town.

Pleasant hotel and good value for money. Rooms clean and spacious and a couple of minutes walk from restaurant area/bus stop. Hotel also gives out a free bus/train voucher which is good - though you need to check times of buses carefully as we ended up having to get a taxi back from Baden Baden due to incorrect info on bus timetable (the last bus was approx 7pm!).

this was the last hotel on our Motor bike tour and due to the excellent condition of the others this came a poor last. One high point was the secure parking for the bikes in the garage.

I appreciated this location very much! The people that ran it were very helpful and even knew enough english to have a conversation! They even offered to take us to the bus!! It was quite and small and close to the bus and everything that we needed!! They were so eager to help and with it being our first day in Germany it was very much apprecaited!

I cannot fault anything about the hotel, we arrived 3 hours early and were allowed to check in straight away.
City tax is 2.50 Euros (Jun 10) per person per night, out of that you get a bus / tram pass (However we drove everywhere)
The only thing I can fault is the town was definitely not for young couples ..... more retired couples / widowed couples. We only stayed for 2 nights and spent most of the time outside the immediate locality, so this did not affect us.
Free car parking on site, however the free WIFI is a T-Mobile hotspot (so not really for business users)
All in all an excellent hotel and had it been in a more younger couple location I would have given 5 stars. For the younger couple I would recommend Baden Baden.

Une nuit dans un hôtel très défraîchi. L'accueil était limite poli, la chambre sombre bien que repeinte récemment, la salle de bain vétuste et pas très propre (paroi de douche pas nettoyée) les lits confortables et le calme royal: forcement l’hôtel était presque désert!
Heureusement que le petit déjeuner est venu rehausser le moral, complet et varié avec le sourire de l'employée.
