Prices for mediocre food and drink are insulting. $100+ a day extra “resort” and “civic” fees tacked onto daily room charge, they tell you how much they expect to be tipped at the spa without you asking them at spa checkout.. far away from town..absolutely
No activities when there is not enough snow to ski.. told them
Inwas coming for my birthday and not even a happy birthday..we ended up staying at the Sonnenalp in vail half
Of the trip (so i had to pay for 2 rooms at once) because there was nothing to do there and you are up on a hill 20-30 minutes from everything.cant walk anywhere. Must cancel 30 DAYS IN ADVANCE ir they take 100 pct from you. Not accomodating and couldnt care less about your experience. Got the feeling they just wanted to milk everyone for what they could.

The staff here is so thoughtful! It was my husband's birthday and they had a surprise complimentary charcuterie board, wine and beer in our room when we arrived. I also noticed on my car app that my car wasn't getting charged and they made sure that they took care of it. The restaurant staff, the front desk and just everyone who worked there was kind.

Marriott Disguised as a Ritz Carlton

It was a Marriott charging Ritz Carlton prices without the service you would expect.
I paid $13,000 for the week and the bellman didn’t even offer to bring up my bags.
I was also charged $9,000 in room charges that I did not make.
I ultimately got them removed, but then I saw a charge to my room 3 days after I left the property.
I called the manager and told him to take my credit card out of their system.

We have stayed at this property numerous times. The food in the club was not good at all. The staff in the club was not very friendly or eager to meet your needs with the exception of the gentleman that came to give you the ski report that has worked there for 8 years. He is awesome. We changed rooms and they could not find our luggage and the girl at the desk was extremely confused and lacked the knowledge to do her Job. It was a very different experience we had as compared to 2022.

Not cheap. But nice. Valet $$. Wyld restaurant $$ for so-so, salty food.
Checkin was early and awesome, included an upgrade. Good spa, although the staff there was uninspired. Ski concierge staff was hit and miss. Fun apres scene on Saturday.

The Ritz BC is our favorite get away! We always have exceptional service and our most recent stay was no exception. The staff go out of their way to accommodate any request and often checked in to see how our stay was going. The concierge arranged several activities for our family and the facilities themselves are beautiful. We particularly prefer the resort in the fall or “mud season”. The food, additionally, was fantastic this last stay. The salmon was some of the best we have ever had and the chef often came out himself to check on our meals. Just spectacular. We will be back hopefully sooner rather than later!

Horribly disappointing trip, felt terribly isolated on property and not in a good way - only one food menu throughout the entire hotel, no pool service during the week, MAJOR construction going on on the patio, construction guys passing by our windows... not sure why they wouldn't assign rooms on the opposite side of the hotel?
Having to walk over planks of wood and around construction equipment/ cherry pickers to walk the dog - because of the construction there was no where to sit outside. Broken Steam room. Not up to the Ritz Carlton standard.

Valet parking is mandatory and is $60! The pool deck was cleaned starting at 6AM with very loud equipment on a Saturday morning. It woke up many of the guests. I called the front desk and they said they would check on it and they’d let me know. I heard nothing....other than the loud equipment!

What a waste of money and ruined vacation!! We used to ski down to the Ritz at Bachelor Gulch and think we would love to stay and ski from there. HA!!! It’s been ruined so badly for us we’ll never go back to Beaver Creek. First of all the rooms were very noisy, the people next door would start opening and slamming their door at 6 am. Hey Ritz.... have you ever heard of door closers???? They help close doors quietly, a much needed upgrade, but of course you’d have to charge your guests more money to pay for that upgrade. The fire alarm went off at least 10 times within a 24 hour period with a stupid announcement that their trained personnel are checking out the cause. Obviously when it goes off numerous times in one day they’re not that highly skilled!! Random phone calls on the house phone would come in the middle of the night. The in-room refrigerator froze everything and looked like it was a left over from some college dorm room fridge. The heater vent popped and cracked every time it came on. The coffee maker wasn’t a coffee maker it was an espresso machine that was of no use to my husband and I, who are strictly coffee drinkers. Unfortunately I twisted my ankle while skiing and requested an ace bandage and crutches and never received either. The world’s most uncomfortable mattress topper and pillows, feather might sound exotic but they flatten and the quills always work their way through to poke in the middle of the night. My family had a great time at the Ritz for our 15th Wedding Anniversary vacation as we returned to the place where we exchanged our vows. We were pleasantly surprised that after they heard of our anniversary, and our return to the Ritz, that in honor of our special occasion the Ritz staff provided us with a card and a gift along with an upgrade to a suite. It was fantastic as it provided enough room for our kids to have their own area and it made my wife cry from her appreciation for such a kind gesture by the Ritz staff. The staff are so helpful, polite, and accommodating. Meeting their dog, Bachelor, is always a treat. We set up our kids with a day at the Ritz Kids program which they enjoyed making crafts and decorations for the Holiday Season. The property is gorgeous and we can't wait to go back. Thank you, Ritz for a wonderful getaway!

The staff members were all friendly and we enjoyed our stay, but for a Ritz Carlton hotel, this property has become a little \"long in the tooth\" and needs a face lift. Ding marks on walls and carpets, broken furniture. Not sure how the Ritz team let them jewel of a property fall into such disrepair. Not up to Ritz Carlton standards.

We had a lovely stay for our 10th anniversary. We received a room upgrade and small bottle of wine. This is our go to place for special occasions and it did not disappoint. While some of the amenities were not available, such as the cold plunge pool etc, due to COVID, they were barely missed. The aspens were in peak season and after a hike, the live music by the fire pit was a welcome treat. This is not just a hotel, but an experience and we will continue to come to escape daily life!!! One small item was disappointing, the breakfast overnight oats were visually unappealing and not up to the Ritz standards. Would order something different next go around.

Beautiful hotel, mountain lodge look and feel. Great location. Service was spot on. Negatives were $60 parking per day, really? it's not in NYC, $50 resort fee per day with most of the resort features limited or closed, how do you charge regular rate for limited use? Also $15 additional daily tax on top of sales tax, so you're looking at $125 per day over what you are paying for the booking. Overall really enjoyed the stay, but no reason to return.

downhill since Covid reopening

I’ve stayed here before and it was absolutely amazing! Post Covid reopening was not great and not what I’d expect from the Ritz. I had to track someone down to get a drink at the bar. We called the front desk for over an hour with no response (from hotel phone and my cell phone) bc the ice machines are not available post Covid. For spending over $450 a night including resort fee and parking (and most of the resort isn’t open yet - spa/ restaurants) I was very displeased with the service you’d expect from the Ritz Carlton

This has been one of my favorite hotels in Colorado historically. Hopefully things improve as they continue reopening

My wife and I stayed overnight for our anniversary. We really enjoyed the property and the scenery. Not all the amenities are open w the Covid restrictions but they did a great job making us feel at ease with plenty of precautions in regard to the room, checkin/out, and valet. The staff attitude and behavior is out of this world. I’m a cancer patient and was not feeling that well when we arrived at the hotel.They are the best in particular our waiter in Buffalo was the most hospitable waiter that we’ve ever had and we travel and stay in 5 star hotels all the time. His name is Christian (such apt name for him). He was extremely tentative and warm and was trying everything to accommodate my funky pallet with giving out suggestions as to what I should maybe try. He is the BEST and we are going back to Vail because of the way we were treated whilst staying there.

We stayed at the here last year around the same time and had an amazing experience, so amazing that we decided to come back with our family for Thanksgiving this year. It wasn't the same. The bell staff, valets, front desk, maids, and room service staff were excellent. The rooms were still very nice. The food and wait staff at the restaurant we went to twice was not. We went to Wyld for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a $75/person fixed menu. The server wasn't able to describe one of the 3 appetizer options. Someone ordered it and exchanged it for another because it wasn't as the server described it. The turkey wasn't bad, but it was a little dry. Not a big deal, but again, for $75/person, you expect great food. The desserts (choice of a pumpkin-based dessert or an apple-pie like dessert) were not good. Out of 6 of us, most didn't take more than a couple bites. For every course, we had to tell the food runners who ordered what because they would put the wrong plate in front of the wrong person. I've worked at restaurants far less expensive, and that would have been unacceptable. One person in our party asked for a scoop of ice cream with her espresso to make an affogato. They brought out literally a teaspoon of ice cream and charged us $4. We went back for breakfast the next day because the food was amazing last year. We were disappointed again.
