This hotel is extremely special. We stayed in the private spa suite and had our own sauna. The room was stunning, with an amazing view. It was actually better than I expected.
Breakfast and dinner was included with the price and both were tasty. Pick a meat option as the vegetable option could have been better.

It was my partners birthday and the hotel made it special. The spa facilities are pretty amazing too with everything overlooking the mountains.

If I had one suggestion it would be that the sign in the quiet area of the spa was adhered to.
The facility has an area where it states that under 14’s shouldn’t enter, families didn’t adhere to this and so there were children around. Only something small for a wonderful stay.

Amazing service all around. From the reception, to the restaurants and spa - everyone did everything possible to make us feel great.
The only thing I would say needs improvement - are the mattress and pillows.

Millenium hotel

Schloss Pichlarn is literally a Millenium hotel, the oldest part of the hotel and the magestic tree at the entrance are 1,000 Years old!
The staff are professional and helfpul, the pool and spa are lovely and relaxing, the sport program is great and the rooms well appointed with nice views of nearby mountains, comfortable beds, large bathtubs, bathrobes, tea and coffee!
Can highly recommend a stay or holding an event at this unique hotel with a special aura!

5-star Styrian mountainous valley hotel

Beautiful countryside, amazing vantage point, good food, golf club, mountain / countryside biking, pools, gym, spa and good service is what you get in Schloss Pichlarn.

It is a remote location but well worth it, it should be a long stay and not a weekend unless you happen to be near, which means within 1 hour of transportation.

We visited in summer, I am told it is lovely in winter with the skiing.

Romantic castle hotel with beautiful views

Super relaxing getaway close to the Austrian mountains! The room was very comfy, great service all around, and a lovely spa and wellness area - including a heated outdoor pool. The breakfast was great and we also enjoyed our two dinners - our only problem was they have limited pescatarian/vegetarian food options. It is about a 50 min drive from Hallstatt and only 15 min from the closest ski slopes.

Fairytale Castle Perched in the Hills

Beautiful hotel! A romantic get away filled with peace and tranquility. The hotel was very quiet - which we prefered but only so until may due to the start of golf season. Would definitely recommend. We plan on coming back.

Overall - Amazing! Great location in small mountain village area. Stunning views. Great service. Genuinely happy and helpful staff. Everything is very well designed and thought out. Get the dinner package - worth it. And they allow pups! We plan to go back many times, which is not something we typically say because we like to see new places. I highly recommend this place.

Value for money

If you are a golfer it is worth knowing that you can play free of charge on a nice course as much as you want and as long as you have a stay for minimum 3 days on the hotel. In our case we allmost had the discount of 30% per night, when you take the free golf into considuration.
In general you can say that the food was excelent, you get a very good sevice, the rooms are large and the surrounding are beautiful. Finally you have a nice golf course, and what more do you wish. We will be back

Essen hat leider sehr lange gedauert und als wir am Abend gegen 20.20 die Bar besuchen wollten wurde uns vom Bartender sehr sehr unhöflich erklärt das ALLES RESERVIERT ist.
Wenn das so ist dann sollte man das in der Homepage vermerken das nicht jeder Gast die Hotelbar benutzen darf

Ein wunderschönes Ambiente.
Grosse , aber, trotz abgeschaltener Heizung, zu warmes Zimmer.
Sauna und Poolbereich ist gross und entspannend.
Der Service beim Abendessen war etwas unkoordiniert und wirkte durcheinander - 3.Gang vor dem 2.Gang, da der 2.Gang übersehen wurde, der 3.Gang wurde warmgehalten womit die Beilage austrocknete.
Das Essen war sehr gut, perfekt in Grösse der Portionen.
Beim Frühstück wurde alles geboten. Der Service der älteren Mitarbeiter war genial - hier müsste das junge Personal noch nachgeschult werden auf 5* Niveau, ebenso beim Abendessen.

Die Atmosphäre des Hotelkomplexes ist sehr gut. Schnelle und positive Reaktion bei einer Beschwerde wegen Lärm in der Nacht durch andere Gäste. Eine sehr freundliche und kompetente Direktorin.
Sehr schöner Wellnessbereich mit Innen- und Außenpool und Whirlpools.Tolles Frühstück auf der gedeckten Terrasse (auch bei Regen möglich) mit Lachs und Sekt

Schönes Hotel mit Defiziten beim Umgang m. COVID19

Wir waren das zweite Mal in dem schönen Hotel. Sehr gepflegte Anlage, gediegen. Wer Lust hat Golf zu spielen, dem kann dort sicher geholfen werden.
Das Hotel schien fast ausgebucht zu sein. Sehr viele Gäste auch im Poolbereich, daher war der Erholungseffekt diesmal nicht so gegeben.
Es gibt abends doch einige Insekten dort. Der Hinweis am Zimmerfenster fehlt nicht, dieses geschlossen zu halten. Leider fehlt aber ein Mosquitonetz vor dem Fenster oder eine Klimaanlage, das ist schade. Das diesmal relativ schmale Bett trug dann zu einem nicht so angenehmen Aufenthalt bei.
Mein größter Kritikpunkt und das ist für uns das Ausschlußkriterium für die nächste Zeit, ist, der Umgang mit der Herausforderung durch COVID19.
Das Hotel unternimmt soweit sichtbar doch Einiges, Handdesinfektion, Tischdesinfektion und die Angestellten tragen einen Mund- /Nasenschutz. Aber, es fehlen komplett die Hinweise auf Abstandsregeln und Mund- /Nasenschutz für die Gäste.
Volles Hotel, viel Betrieb am Frühstücksbuffet, aber kein Gast, außer uns, trug eine Make. Es gab auch durch das Personal keinerlei Aufforderung. Uns wurde gesagt, die Geschäftsleitung hat es so entschieden.
Nun, das entspricht nicht unserem Anspruch auf einen sicheren Aufenthalt. Nur um das Urlaubserlebnis für den Gast nicht zu sehr zu stören, bewirkt dieser Verzicht genau das Gegenteil, zumindest bei uns. Schade.
Warten wir mal die Urlaubszeit ab, wie sich dann die Infektionszahlen in Deutschland und Österreich entwickeln.

Top Hotel

Das Hotel ist schön, sauber und in guter Lage für Ausflüge. Das Personal ist swhr freundlich, das Essen in allen Restaurants ausgezeichnet. Indoor und Outdoorpool sowie Spa auch für Schlechtwettertage. Ein Golfplatz ist auch vorhanden und ausreichend kostenfreie Parkplätze.

Ein super Hotel mit tollen Spa Angeboten und die Zimmer waren wunderschön eingerichtet. Das Personal war extrem freundlich und aufmerksam.
Das Wasser im Pool hätte noch ein wenig wärmer sein können und das Gänge Menü war für das was es geboten hat zu teuer. Aber ansonsten war alles top ich würde es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!
