We picked this property as its unique South France countryside character. Location is great. However, we are disappointed with this stay. First their customer service never gets through. I called multiple times at different time of the day want to confirm how late we can check in. 2ndly, at checkin, we were informed about the breakfast. I double checked if our breakfast is included as it is not clear on the booking. I was told yes it is. I’m not a big fan of French hotel breakfast, as it is included. We rose early ( we r late risers) to eat it. They provided baguette, cheese apple milk and coffee… We only had a piece of bread and coffee. At checkout we were forced to pay additional

Nice hotel, problems in Restaurant

The hotel is nice, quiet and beautifull location, the rooms are ok. Not so the restaurant. Three of the six meat main courses were not available at 8.30 pm on a Thursday evening, among them the steak with french fries. In the middle of France! Slow service. Annoying. The tarte flambee was burned at the sides.

One night in the country

Stopped one night on Wednesday arrived around 6pm saw a group
Of people who also saw us sitting and smoking outside found no one on the reception note said go to the bar no one there waited around. 5 mins I walked through the restaurant could see that the group of people where the staff sitting outside having a break another 5 mins later someone came saw our booking and gave us a key and a quick this is for that etc and left we moved into our room which was in the loft it was big and spacious came down before dinner and asked could we get a table was told go to reception went but no one there came back to waitress and was told no fully booked could see I was a little pit out and said look try village down road offered to ring another place for a reservation . Whilst i appreciated the gesture I was sure there was space for us even in the bar the kids where past hungry and bedtime and we just wanted to sit and relax after a busy day drove to another town lovely pretty place everything looked closed or full so ended up driving to selestat 6 km away and having to find macdonalds because kids where in melt down now

Quaint building.

We were excited to see our quaint hotel. However, our welcome was less than enthusiastic, and our room, while clean, was not overly comfortable. The sloped ceilings made sleeping on the single bed difficult, as moving meant hitting the head! Breakfast was basic, and there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

Off the beaten track. Bed exceptionally uncomfortable for someone over 5'10\". No coffee making facilities at all. Very disappointing and very expensive to buy at the restaurant downstairs. Restaurant expensive for families and due to location, a long way to other places to eat.

Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig. Bad ok, hübsche Elsässer Herzen als Deko.
Zimmer an sich sauber, jedoch schaut die Reinigung wohl nie an die Decke (grosse unübersehbare! Spinnweben). Duschtücher auch teilweise ausgefranst. Würden diese Kleinigkeiten wegfallen, würde dies viel aufwerten.
Der Teppich in den Hotelgängen und Treppenhaus hat eine Erneuerung bitter nötig (in den Zimmern gottseidank KEINE Teppiche :-) ).
Personal an der Reception und Restaurant sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Frühstück gut. Speiserestaurant mit guter Auswahl und wirklich gut. ACHTUNG die Desserts sind unglaublich gross! Etwas kleiner würde nicht schaden.

The hotel room was nice and clean and my daughter liked the four-poster bed. When it is hot outside the room does become very warm. Breakfast was good. Dinner in the restaurant is good but choice was limited. Personnel very friendly. Dieffenthal is very small but Selestat nearby is a nice place with enough restaurants as well.

Flot - men trænger til en Update

Hotellet ligger flot og omringet af vinmarker. Det er et ældre hotel, men det er hyggeligt. Dog så er sengene på værelserne også gamle træ himmelsenge, som man sov i for 50 år siden. Vores seng (vær 34) var for kort og så knirkede sengen så meget at vi endte med at smide madrasserne ned på gulvet for at kunne sove.
Service og venlighed er helt i top - men der mangler komfort i forhold til andre hoteller

De foto’s zijn erg misleidend....
Het ziet er erg mooi uit, maar eigenlijk is het een heel triest hotel.

Er staat dat de kamers een diep bad hebben.... dat hebben ze niet... er is geen turndown service, er zijn geen verduisterende gordijnen.

Wat er wel is is schimmel in de badkamer en glibberige vloeren in de douche. Als je de douche Gebruikt stroomt het direct over de Douchebad en in de badkamer waardoor de vloer spiegelglad wordt, dit mede mogelijk gemaakt door vieze bruine aanslag op de vloer van de douchebak. In eerste instantie zie je dit niet want de verlichting is verschrikkelijk slecht. De spiegel hangt op navelhoogte dus makkelijk om je buikhaar te kammen

Ook liepen er kakkerlakken door de kamer....

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Es gibt viele schöne Besichtigungsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.
Bei der Sauberkeit gab es gröbere Mängel. Da der Aufzug nicht einmal 4 Personen mit Gepäck verkraftet hat, gingen wir zu Fuß in den 2. Stock. Der Boden des Stiegenhauses war sehr schmutzig. Die Türschnalle zum 2. Stockwerk war kaum zu benützen (Die Türschnalle hing nach unten.) Die Zimmer waren weitestgehend in Ordnung. Wir hatten uns auf Grund der Rezensionen gutes Essen erwartet, wurden aber sowohl vom Abendessen als auch vom Frühstück enttäuscht. Sogar die Croissants schmeckten \"alt\".

Les + : Décoration de la chambre, l'aspect de l'hôtel typiquement alsacien, l'accueil à notre arrivé, le calme.

Les - : La propreté, le lit a été fait \"à l'arrache\" le lendemain avec les coussins au sol, le matelas trop mou, ascenseur en panne, au moment du règlement, notre hôte nous demande de payer par carte bleu car elle n'aime pas les espèces. Elle a voulu nous faire payer 50 euro de plus (ne devais pas savoir compter les billets).

lit trop petit et matelas très mou. les 2 oreillers tachés de jaunes (au prix de la chambre il faudrait peut-être les changer), protège-matelas taché au niveau de la tête ( à renouveler également), la lumière du plafonds ne fonctionnait pas donc obligé de s'adapter avec les lampes de chevet.

Bella struttura dall'architettura tipicamente alsaziana. Ottima posizione a pochi minuti in macchina da tutti i principali centri di interesse della zona. Camere ampie e confortevoli, bagno recentemente rinnovato. Complessivamente un'esperienza molto positiva, struttura ideale per coppie e famiglie. Il letto matrimoniale è quello a una piazza e mezza, tipicamente francese.
Unico appunto: a colazione avrei gradito delle preparazioni salate calde (uova, bacon, ecc..).

Mooi landelijk gelegen hotel

Leuk hotel met mooie grote kamers, sommige met balkon, wij hadden een balkon kamer met een prachtig uitzicht over de wijngaarden. Voor we vertrokken hebben wij nog herlijk gewandeld.
Ook fijn een aparte WC . 's Avonds prettig gegeten in het restaurant, waar de bediening in orde was en het eten ook. Het ontbijt in de morgen vonden wij wel heel leuk en apart, prachtig gebak en dan plastic bekertjes met sinaasappel sap. Al met al een aanrader, zeker voor een tussenstop.

Magnifique hôtel avec vieux style mais moderne. Le personnel a été acceuillant et sympathique. La chambre était tres grandre avec une belle salle de bain. On a dîner a cette endroit et on y a très bien mangé. Nous sommes deux soeurs qui voyage ensemble et les deux on a vraiment adoré l'endroit, c'était calme avec une belle vue sur les montagnes de vignes. Je recommande cette endroit sans hésitation.

Bien que c'est moi qui me suis occupé de la reservation pour 15 personnes, je n'ai pu y aller. Dommage, ils ont tous été enchanté par l'hôtel, les chambres, le décor. malgré leur fatigue, ils ont appréciés la cuisine.

E' un relais molto grazioso fuori dal centro abitato e, quindi, molto rilassante con affacci sulla campagna. In zona, con brevi tragitti in macchina, è possibile visitare alcuni caratteristici paesini con buoni ristoranti. Le camere sono spaziose e con arredi di tipo provenzale. Note negative la mancanza di aria condizionata ed il materasso non molto comodo

Négatif: -Ma réservation prise par Hotel.com n'avait pas été prise en compte par l'hôtel ! Heureusement qu'une chambre était libre, sinon mon séjour en couple tombait à l'eau...
-Pas assez de places sur le parking. Desserts au restaurant très mauvais (trio de chocolat et chocolat liégeois) mais flammenkuche excellentes. Pas de salutations cordiales du personnel au moment de notre départ, ni questions sur notre séjour.

Je n'ai pas compris pourquoi un tableau déchiré est toujours accroché dans le couloir du 3eme étage. En plus difficile de trouver le bouton pour allumer la lumière du couloir, dans le noir. Faut tâtonner ou y aller à l'aveuglette. Pour la chambre, éviter la 37 si vous choisissez l'option familial. Un bruit de continuel . Renseignements pris auprès du personnel, il s'agit de la hotte de la cuisine qui fait du bruit que dans cette chambre. Heureusement que la cuisine ferme à 21 heure !!!
Propreté: des cheveux sur les coussins , berk. Pas top.
Autrement, charmant, endroit tranquille, personnel vraiment aimable.

Alsace-hygge i hjertet af vinruten.

Fantastisk hyggeligt hotel og super godt til prisen. Både værelser og mad er en positiv oplevelse, men man skal ikke forventet 5-stjernet luksus, men ægte Alsace hygge.

outside. Restaurant OK, no need to look for other restaurants. Breakfast very good with many choices.
Private parking area just in front of hotel.

Nice surroundings with vineyards around.

Sin agua caliente y sin soluciones

El agua caliente se acabó en la habitación triple. Dio tiempo a que se ducharan 2 (no tardaron más de 20 min en total, 10+10) y cuando tocó mi turno fue entrar a la ducha e irse el agua caliente. Probamos varias veces durante una hora y sin agua caliente. Cuando digo que no había agua caliente me refiero a que lo único que salía era agua fría, no tibia. Nadie se duchó la noche anterior, por cierto.

Expuse el problema en recepción y sin mediar ninguna palabra me puso el recepcionista y camarero del bar la factura. Le digo que al menos me dé una explicación y me contesta que si ha habido un problema con la habitación no puede hacer nada, es decir, el hotel no puede hacer nada ante los problemas de sus habitaciónes. Testimonio inquietante costando la habitación casi 100 euros/noche. Haciendo el check-out casi 3 horas antes de la hora límite ni siquiera se me da la opción de ducharme en otra habitación.

Al margen de esta vergonzosa situación, la habitación estaba sucia. Clara prueba de ello las cortinas rosas y los cojines.

Prima ontbijt. Het avondeten was matig en de bediening ook. Het meisje liet de bak met frites vallen op mijn kleding en de vloer. Niet erg slim. Ze gaf mij ook nog de verkeerde burger. De geitenkaaswas nauwelijks te ontdekken. Jammer.Des
