Check-in was very fast and friendly. The Scottish man was very nice and got me checked in very quickly. The only other staff member I interacted with (had a beard) was doing the late shift and was very friendly as well.

Location was pretty convenient and the cost was low. Only got 4 stars rather than 5 as it wasn't really a double bed but rather 2 single mattresses.

I have a very mixed review for this hotel. The renovated rooms are nice, but the pre-reno one I refused to stay in was nasty. Some of the staff are lovely but the manager was rude and unpleasant.
I booked a superior king suite which was listed as having a sea view, sofa bed and deep soaker tub. The room I was given was smaller with a shower. According to the manager I couldn’t stay in the room I booked because it’s actually the junior suite not a superior king room. She then said it had recently been booked by a VIP for part of my stay and the error was my fault for not booking directly with the hotel, but the hotel took no responsibility.
I was given the choice of the room with a shower or a room with mold around the bathtub, peeling wallpaper and water stains on the ceiling. I couldn’t simply get a refund and leave.
I’m not the first person to complain about not getting the room I booked at this hotel. I suspect I won’t be the last.
The hotel would get 1* from me based on the booking error and the manager, but it deserves more than that. It has a tram stop in front, making it easy to get to the tower or pleasure beach. The renovated room I stayed in was pleasant with a view of the seafront. Breakfast (sometimes a hot buffet, sometimes cooked to order from the menu) was good.

Overall was a nice stay. The room was spacious and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Onsite parking with charging is a plus. We look forward to our next visit.

The biggest issue we had was not the hotels fault (which is why my rating stayed high across the board) but other guests being noisy going to from their room. We were near the stairs and each morning between 5 and 8 before I woke up fully I could hear folks having loud conversations or yelling up the hall which was annoying.

Small single room at rear of hotel, clean with all basic amenities, the bathroom was ok, functional but a little tired looking.
The hotel was clean and inviting and the staff were friendly. It is ideally located with the town centre only a 10 min walk.
I have stayed there a number of times over the years and find it a good safe bet.
The only downside I would note is that the car parking is no longer free for guests..just saying!

Room was fine. Clean and warm. Car park fees extra £7:50 per night!! Note to others just park on the road a few streets away for free. Hotel has a pod point charger for electric cars. But as usual ICE cars just park in front of it. How would they like it if I park my EV on the petrol station forecourt!!

I don’t usually leave reviews but I spent the same money as what a room at the boulevard hotel normally costs (fully booked on our dates). I found that the rooms look nothing like the pictures, the room was so claustrophobic that I volunteered to pay for the ‘executive room’ which was on the ground floor, with foot traffic that could see in and it faced the opposite side to the sea. Temperature was never right and the little bit of racial abuse from the other guests was the cherry on top. It was the first time going to Blackpool as a married couple which I made them aware of, I volunteered to pay extra, I just wanted the room shown in the images. I’m not sure that room exists.

Room spotless,bed huge and very comfortable, bathroom was suitably kitted out for disabled guests and gorgeous. Staff were lovely and friendly. Bar prices were quite steep and there were no arcade machines which was nice for a change. We didnt have breakfast at the hotel as we needed to get home quickly.if a quiet hotel near enough to the town centre is what you want then the best western carlton is perfect.

Big area of paint looked like it had come off from above the Bedroom window and had to fight with one of the curtains to get it closed!

Bedroom ok but lack of attention to detail in cleanliness, long dark hairs on body wash dispenser on the wall, dropped my bracelet and found debris under the beds.

Overall a good experience, always stay in this hotel for an overnight stay in Blackpool. Had a good nights sleep, bed was very comfortable. The hotel is an old building and could maybe do with some TLC in some areas , stairs and corridors however the room was super clean. Didn't have food on this occasion but on our previous visit the food was lovely.

A great place to stay

We made a booking for ourselves and 14 other people to stay for 2 days for our wedding in town. The hotel catered for all of our requirements without any problems as far as i know.

The service was efficient and friendly, the food at breakfast was tasty, and there was plenty of it, and the room we stayed in was excellent, especially the bathroom.

All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Easy check in - £10 per night for Apollo (dog)
Found the room and bathroom to be clean and tidy and a bath :) with shower over
Location is a short stroll from the Tower / North Peer and Centre
Trams and Bus stops basically outside of Hotel
Weather was perfect for this time of year

Very disappointing Best Western.

We have stayed here before in a standard double room, so thought we'd upgrade to a superior deluxe double. But in fairness the only difference we could see was some bathrobes in the wardrobe! Previously we'd had a view over the sea front and a good sized room with a very adequate ensuite on the first floor. The room we had this time was about the same size with a bigger bathroom, but only because we were on the ground floor in a disabled room. We had no view as the window looked out onto main road where people were walking and driving passed and also over looked by other hotels, so had to keep both windows and curtains shut to stop prying eyes and noise!!! Although the room seemed clean initially, when we turned on the bedside lights and they shone up the wall we could see large amounts of dust!! Also because we were in a superior room our bed was two single pushed together to form a superking, however the duvet seemed to be a double in a king-size cover. We were also located next to the toilets for the bar and restaurant. Overall for the extra money very disappointed this stay. Would probably look elsewhere next time.

It is expensive what they charge for a tiny single room with a poor shower that has seen better days with not a lot of pressure coming from it. Best thing about staying here is it is right opposite the tram stop!
I wouldn’t stay here again though!

We enjoyed our food and staff were excellent. We parked in the hotel parking as we felt it was safer. Our room had one fault the windows would not close and traffic noise gave us a disturbed night sleep. Next time we will request a sea front room.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Clean, comfortable and quiet. It's about 14 minutes walk from the tower.The staff are fabulous, helpful and friendly. Lovely comfortable bed and great tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We had a tasty hunter's chicken for dinner in the restaurant and an excellent cooked breakfast. We managed to get on the car park but if you can't there is another little car park a minute down the street. We are already planning to stay again in the summer. It was a great find.

This hotel was disgusting the room was thilthy,and when we spoke to the manager he said it was fine,so stains on carpets,curtains,chip in the bath,paint flaking off the walls,window sill,hole in the window opeming all very dirty .And for a manager to say that room is fine is unbelievable,i will never return to that hotel again .Ive never dealt with such an obnoxious manager in all my life it was embaressing !!This will be taken further!!As we checked out the receptionist just said safe travel home but not asked us how our stay was then starting going on her mobile phone not very professional is it !!

Arrived early. Had a drink in the bar until 1.30pm when we were able to checkin.
“Superior” room was below our expectations compared to other “superior” accommodation providers we have used.

Good location for walks on prom, trams and access to Blackpool centre. On the sea front with resteraunt facing the promenade, with sea views.
As long as you're not expecting the Ritz, you should be satisfied with the £50/night paid. We stayed one night, not sure I'd want to stay for longer due to noise of families in adjacent rooms. Bedroom was ensuit but a bit cramped & tired.

Was very disappointed with the Xmas dinner as I had beef which was like leather…1 chipolata on friends dinner,he said turkey was just ok ..for £50 was not worth it..Buffet Xmas night was soso pathetic and heard plenty agreed with us£15 was a disgrace…Its such a lovely friendly staff and lovely hotel but don’t think we’ll be back My 76yr friend has diabetis along with other med probs and we purposely came as wanted to bring my 2dogs and a disabled room which was perfect but the cost and bad experience of food and lacks in hygiene in the restaurant with no table covers and some staff not in uniform …

It was a building site on our floor got woken up to workers and construction noise. There was mold in the room it didn't seem clean. We were meant to stay for 4 nights but left early. Our bed was meant to be changed 2 nights in but it wasn't. The staff are lovely and helpful I don't blame them. Hotel is just a bit run down. Random seagal also got into the building at one point.

4th time here and this was the worst and won't be back.
Our hotel room hallway had a few stairs and I had a walker aid. Also the room was a tad small as was my brother in laws too. A bit much as well is you pay them for parking your car after paying over £1300.00 to stay there, most annoying, especially going there 4 years on the trot.🤔☹️
