The staff were fantastic. it’s a very old building with lots of charm. Unfortunately the room we had was in need of some renovation, very tired, ripped carpet, and the window was filthy. Our room was exceptionally warm although there was a fan provided. Lick of paint, new carpet and a better clean would be 5 stars!

I loved the history of the hotel. The kids enjoyed being there. The tram was right in front of the hotel. We had a good view of the beach and the tower.
There were steps which we were told were for emergency exit. At first we thought they led down to the reception but wow they looked \"scary\" Maybe the hotel should put a inscription that the door to the stairs is for emergency

Had a really lovely stay for two days as we were going to a couple of shows. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to eat and good variety of food. Some good bar foods available too.
Clean room and bathroom, but could have done with some dusting on lamps and shelves.

Staff were really good and helpful. We found the hotel charming and a real lovely old feel to it and the prices were reasonable.

Beautiful historic hotel. Public areas are lovely. The room was a bit dated though, bashed and battered table tops and curtains falling down. The bathroom was also drab with little space to hang or put toiletries. No plugs by the bed so you have to charge your phone at the other side of the room, no bedside lamps. These small things mean I can’t give a five. Location is great, easy to walk into the centre and of course right on the sea front. Worth visiting for the history of the building I think but not really worth the very high prices anymore.

Firstly i must praise Tristan on reception. Helpful, sorted a problem out for me instantly, and with a smile. Imperial is my favourite place, however i have to mention the public toilets downstairs were a real mess, and our evening meal was disappointing. Lets say not as described and vegetables missing. It will not deter me from returning but it did tarnish our stay a little. Every member of staff amazing apart from Chef.

This was the second and last time we stayed at this hellhole, the room was dirty, a sea view but you can't see out of the window , it was that dirty, I asked several times for it I be cleaned , for my sheets to be changed and room cleaned , and they didn't , £360 for two nights for this level of service. The radiators are on all day and all night full blast in the room, this is no exaggeration. The TV or remote doesn't work and is about 20 years old, I can not understand how it can be this bad and still run as a business, I feel like I've been scammed . There's a kids play room in the basement, the door handle is hanging off if a kid ran to that door and lost balance they have there eye out.
Its laughable they've don't nothing to rectify the poor service in anyway, when I spoke to the manager when we were leaving he wasn't in anyway sympathetic or concerned about all the problems we had, just gave me another email address and totally passed the book as as did every member of staff I spoke to all weekend.
Do not waste your money and do not stay at this hotel, worst hotel experience of my life, will never visit again

Warning to anyone thinking of visiting Blackpool, just have a look about and avoid this place like the plague

The only thing there was a smell from the toilet which we told reception about and this was sorted out promptly. The entertainment however finished at 10pm which thought very early. Lovely friendly staff as always and happy to accommodate ant request. Our group was able to check in early at no extra cost. Good selection of hot and cold food on the breakfast buffet.
The only thing letting it down is that parts of the building are starting to look worn out and dated. The room could have done with being decorated as paint was starting to peel in places and in another group members room the radiator cover was damaged.

On arrival I had ordered some drinks to room which didn’t appear until after 3pm and were ordered for 1pm. The room was on the third floor and I asked for a lower level because me and my wife are both disabled. When I checked in the guy behind reception only took the money for our extras and not the room. The room was terrible the telephone and television didn’t work and the sink in the bathroom was blocked. When we woke up Saturday morning there were a letter put under our door saying please could we pay for our room as the receptionist didn’t take it on Friday. I was extremely disappointed as I have stayed there on numerous occasions and never had any issues like this especially putting us on the 3rd floor.

No, don’t expect too much! The hotel is a beautiful building and it’s in a great location but some of the rooms are a bit worn and tatty. The breakfast is pretty good and it was improved this morning with fruit on ice and smoothies. The staff in the breakfast room are great and if it’s not too busy will endeavour to seat you up with a Sea view. The price was reasonable, but it would seem that the hotel refuses to give you a fairly good room unless you pay more.

This morning at breakfast we had an improvement with fruit on ice and smoothies! Overall we were disappointed with the room, we had problems with a rattling window, a towel rail that we couldn’t turn on and off and a broken telephone. It was good that the twin was the same price as the double as it should be.

The hotel was very dated but comfortable. Great, friendly staff and very good food. Good location to town centre, amenities, pubs etc.
Cleanliness wasn't the best, very thick dust around the edge of the carpet and the towels had been washed but had stains on them.
Not many plug sockets and no usb points in room. Toilet wasn't the best at flushing and the sink taps were hard to turn on and water only seemed to trickle out or full blast - there was no in between.
After stating all this we did have a pleasant stay (only 1 night), and would possibly stay again but not for a long weekend, 1 night is just enough.
Plenty of parking spaces charged at £14 per night.

We stayed in room 201. Our room was absolutely filthy. The carpet and soft furnishings stained, the corners of the chairs dusty, the bath had black mould, the skirt of the divan bed stained. My husband lent on the floor to get something from under the bed, noticed a pair of socks that weren't ours, and was left with a stained mark on his black jacket from where he had lent.

The hallways creak as you walk, so late at night you can hear the floorboards clunk above you as other guests walk around while you try to sleep.

Will absolutely never stay here again and will tell others to avoid.

The only redeeming feature was the breakfast, restaurant and bar were good quality.

The hotel needs extensive updating. Yes probably 100 years ago it was exclusive and upmarket. And yes the Queen and many famous people stayed, But they wouldn’t step foot inside now as it’s so run down. If the hotel had a refurb it would be amazing but unfortunately it’s very dated.
The room was like going back in time 50 years ago everything including furniture and TV was so old. It’s not cheap to stay either we could have stayed at Hampton Hilton for cheaper.
However on the positive side Breakfast was very nice.
Was disappointed had to pay £14 to park vehicle in the hotel car park overnight also.

It’s a lovely old building with lots of character. Definitely needs some TLC but we enjoyed our short stay. Didn’t see the entertainment so can’t comment on that. Staff were ok but probably a bit lacklustre, the lady who checked us in for breakfast was nice, the bar tender was pleasant. Check in staff could have been more cheerful and welcoming. The Imperial is a beautiful building with impressive Victorian architecture and a real sense of history. You can tell it must have been a truly grand hotel in its day. Unfortunately, it now feels like it’s in need of significant investment to bring it back to the standard it deserves.
There are clear signs of wear and decline in places. Parts of the hotel look tired and dated, and during our visit the pool area was boarded up, which was disappointing. There were also some quick fixes around the property, including gaffer tape on sections of the carpet, which doesn’t really match the otherwise grand surroundings.
The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, but it did feel like there weren’t quite enough of them at times. Despite this, the location on the seafront is great and the building itself still has a lot of character and charm.
With the right level of refurbishment and investment, this hotel could easily return to being one of Blackpool’s standout places to stay.

The hotel is clean and tidy however, the decor is very dated. There are showers over baths and they’re quite high to climb in to.
There is parking eye in the car park and you have to pay for parking. The machine inside states parking is £10pn for hotel guests yet there is a sign next to this stating it is £14. I questioned this and was dismissed 3 times stating it was £14 like the sign, and the parking eye machine was incorrect and could not be changed. When I stated it is illegal to say parking is £10 then to change it to £14, the staff member had to ask their manager who said I could pay £10. This practice is illegal and it makes me wonder how many other people they have done this too, please be aware it is illegal to claim one price, then at the point of sale to change the price, they can however withdraw the item from sale which would stop the confusion.

On arrivalI I found my check in fast and friendly. I opted for the earlier check-in .from the moment I got to the desk to the key in my hand was within four minutes. The lobby and hotel areas are as you was expects from a historical building .they look stunning. However on closer inspection suffering from time.but to modernise would be to destroy the character of this building. The staff make this hotel, friendly and engaging. At the time of my visit the hotel was running at low occupancy and Work was being done so staff were not able to work in there normal manner however adapted well I found service excellent.
My room was clean and large. The mattress was clean but very uneven. also allocated a room across from a service door which disturbed me in the night a few times one time at four in the morning however this was only my experience and doesn’t reflect on the hotel as a whole.
Dining, I found the food in the evening very well presented and served. Fairly priced .Breakfast again well served and reasonable choice. My only criticism would be I found the bacon hard having suffered under lights and the use of liquid egg for the scrambled eggs,this is only preference.
To end I would stay here again. Its selling point is the staff,location and the building.But parking over night is going to £14 for my three nights stay £42 parking.£98 a week.Is a hard pill to swallow. Maybe give a discount for over night guests or on multiple nightsto feel there getting something.

This is not a four star hotel. It’s very tired and the staff looked very tired and stressed too. The fixtures and fittings are worn and cracked in the room, single glaze windows over a noisy road and busy car wash, Breakfast was an average offering. At check in after 3pm we had a long queue and we heard the person on reception whisper to their colleague ‘we don’t have any rooms ready’. I think the staff we met were doing their best but the whole place needs a reset and tidy up.

Online Booking and check in were easy and there is on site parking (for an extra charge) The hotel is large and has some very grand looking features, with a fascinating history well situated on the north shore with an easy walk or tram ride along the promenade.
The beds were comfortable, it was a budget room so we were at the side of the hotel towards the back, therefore only a view of the side street, could have been cleaner found long dark hairs in the bathroom and coffee cups hadnt been washed, also there was a musty smell in the room, there was a banging noise going on most of the night which kept us awake as if a door or window had been left open in an adjacent room.
We had an evening meal which was very nice, all staff were very pleasant
Breakfast was good, plenty of choice for hot and cold dishes, and staff were very nice.
Overall would probably stay there again but ask for a better room

We did have a pleasant day. The room is a bit outdated back in the 70s and unfortunately as well they don’t have really any disabled access rooms which is not ideal. I did ask him before arrival but I needed somewhere so I could have a shower put the room I had didn’t have a shower that I could get into and they did try to move it but unfortunately that room was also the same situation . However, we had a brilliant night sleep and the breakfast was really nice as well. There’s nothing to write home about but it’s a nice place and will return

Lovely old hotel and delicious food but our room on the second floor was very cold. It took absolute hours to warm up and needed a good clean, including the carpet. The Derby dining room was also cold as the heater wasn't on...in mid December! £9 for two cups of tea in a dirty mug. Literally 2 cups of tea, we got 2 pots...one filled with tea and one filled with milk???

The food was the highlight of our stay. They must have an outstanding chef!

Overall, a bit more attention to detail would have made our stay far more enjoyable.
