This hotel is aged. Pain peeling, furniture faded and knocked and carpets from a bygone era. Car parking is in the town on a public street which entails carrying luggage a long way to the hotel rail shuttle and then again onto the hotel reception.

The rooms are terrible. Very dated. The bed base on the floor with a thin mattress atop a 15cm high base. You don't so much step out of bed when you get above a certain age, as roll out. The bed sagged to so didn't provide comfort.

The breakfast was included but pretty average. Davos was a stop on a 10 day driving holiday around the Alps and Lakes, this hotel was the second most expensive but ranked by us 10th.

Characteristic flair and spectacular gardens

Excellent location with spectacular views. The flower and herbs gardens are absolutely amazing and worth visiting. The historic hotel is pretty much authenic, both regarding decoration and amenities. Great, if you like it.

Electric car friendly vintage hotel

Fantastic location and amazing vintage atmosphere. Carpets and furniture worn but add to the character of the place.
Staff walked the extra mile to make sure I could charge my electric car.

The view was spectacular because the hotel is on a mountain top. They gave us bath robes and herbal shampoo that smelled refreshing!

The hotel doesnt have a direct rout by car , you should read hotels.com checkin guidlines and use the mountain train. All paid for.

Unique and beautiful place to stay

Had a wonderful stay at the Schatzalp, which is set in a stunning location with an impeccable garden and miles of hiking trails right out the front door. The building is a lovely, fading, historic hotel. Some reviewers complained about the fact that the rooms are in need of renovation - true, it's not up-to-date, but for me, that added to the charm and beauty of staying here. Truly a unique experience that I won't forget.

Staying on the Magic Mountain

Stayed at the Schatzalp for a week during a (off season) conference. It was great to be up out of town, up the funicular, on the Magic Mountain, in an old school hotel. No TV in the room, big open-able windows looking out onto the mountains, and first class paths heading up (also down, left and right) further into the hills. On the practical side, the breakfast and WiFi were also excellent.

Wonderful Hotel with Historical charm

For those who do not define comfort by flat screen TVs and minibars this is a wonderful hotel. The hotel is part way up the mountain (it is the converted sanatorium of Thomas Mann’s Magic Mountain). The view is spectacular and the hotel historic. Many things are dated but that is part of what I love about the place. You can go on lovely walks and ski in the winter just outside the hotel. The rooms vary in size but the superior rooms with balconies are very spacious (the bathrooms are a bit on the smaller size).

A real life Christmas village scene in winter

Do not miss this hotel if you want the one of a kind experience of the historical schatzalp sanitoriums with its surrounding hills and trails for sledding and hiking or skiing. You are up above the town in your own magic mountain setting. Make sure to request the room with the balcony so you can lounge in the provided robes with a glass of gluhewine or hot chocolate with baileys and watch the woods and the tiny town below.

Historic hotel in Swiss Alps

Lovely historic horltel built around 1900 and a previous TB Sanitorium. Centrally located in Davis and accessed by a funicular railway which is free for hotel guests. Mountain view separate restaurant provide info excellent alpine food.
bear in mind the first train in the morning is at 7:30 and whilst there is a walking route down, this is slippy and dark during the winter and personally not recommended at that time. Hotel staff lovely and you can use the gym and swimming pool facilities at their sister hotel in town just at the bottom of the funicular railway.

Great unusual hotel!

Classic Swiss hotel in a fantastic unique location. Cool bar, great terrace, taking the funicular up and down is a novelty and not too much inconvenience - every 15 mins during the day and from 7pm every 30 mins till 2am. Rooms are modest but clean and comfortable and have incredible views from the terrace.

First time back at this old favourite for many years. Sadly the lack of investment is showing and it is quite shabby in the public areas and the bedrooms are in urgent need of an upgrade. Nothing can take away from the location though.

A wonderful slice of history atop a mountain

I stayed here for just 24 hours in order to rest and get some work cleared. This hotel is a rarity in a world which measures hotel 'excellence' very uniformly (a certain style with facilities provided in a certain way). What I mean is that this hotel has its very own, unique character. A former TB sanatorium, the clocks used to organise patients' days still illuminate the corridors. The original sinks still feature in the en suite bathrooms. The same heating system is used, the lifts are unchanged. Bookcases containing volumes once lent to patients wanting to while away the months on end up in the mountains in the hope of recovery, line the corridors of the third floor. The former hospital ward on the second floor still boasts the call system. The building is frozen in time yet extremely comfortable. The combined effect of this is one that is ultimately very relaxing; you forget the hustle and bustle and demands of life 'down below'. Deliciously prepared food, a vast space and quiet spacious rooms help the process. And, if the temptations of life down below become too much, excellent free wifi is available across the site. And, if you're determined to measure the hotel through a modern prism, a wonderful new sauna/spa area can be found on the ground floor. I couldn't recommend this place more highly and suggest you go as this space does not do it justice!

The location is great – you cannot get a better view in Davos. But the facilities are not that great. The rooms are old (they are plain old, not antiques nor historical nor charming). In my opinion, this hotel is overpriced.

Frosty Reception

When I arrived at reception after two flights and a three-hour train journey followed by an interesting funicular ascent, I was met with a very 'frosty' reception and told in a very rude manner that despite my reservation they didn't have a room for me and that I had to go back down to Davos Town and stay at the Hotel Europe which I am sure is a very pleasant hotel but ISNT the BergHotel.

I protested very vigorously and after some altercation was grudgingly told that I could stay that night but that they weer full the next day. I contacted reception the next day and they had obviisly had time to rehink this and they told me I could stay but this all left a very sour taste .

Unique quirky hotel

The building is a lovely piece of history in a quiet location with great views from above the town. We came from England for a weekend of skiing and were delighted to find our stay included a pass for the hotel's own private ski area which enabled us the get straight out onto the snow even though we arrived at around 2pm. The only down side is you have to allow time to get the funicular railway to & from the hotel, and use the local bus service if you don t want to walk to the main jacobshorn ski lift next to the train station in ski boots - about 5 minutes in normal footwear. Excellent skiing for intermediates & advanced. Eating out expensive - double English prices, but fresh food in supermarkets is more reasonable. Transfer via train from zurich very efficient and enjoyable as the scenery is breath taking.

An outstanding spot to start your tour of the mountains: pleasant hotel, somewhat run-down, but with tons of genuine charm and comfort. Good service, excellent breakfast and facillities, staff is attentive and organizes programs every Wednesday should you need suggestions how to spend time. Too nice to miss. Bathrooms fully functional, could do with a refurbishing to 21-century. Annoyingly, no TV in the room: poor choice, isolation from news should be by choice.

Fabulous location

The view from the front of the hotel was fantastic, especially having arrived from a flat desert environment. Access from Davos Platz is only via the funicular railway, however, the service runs regularly and with typical Swiss efficiency. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and helpful. Its not 5* and so no TV in the room, which is sometimes not a bad thing, but there is good wifi internet throughout the hotel. I definitely plan to stay again, and will encourage friends and acquaintances to do the same.

Paradise on the Earth!

Had a great stay at this charming Belle Epoque hotel, an ex-Sanitarium dating back to 1900-ish. Excellent view of the valley below and the mountains across from the front garden. To wake up to that view, try to book a Room with Balcony (south facing side) rather than a room with mountain view (north facing side). Excellent food even for vegetarians and ample range in buffet breakfast. Arriving in Davos, go to Schatzalp Seilbahn on the Promenade which gives direct access to the hotel at the top (no access for driving up but it is possible to walk up on a wide dirt path if you have legs for climbing up - I walked down next morning and it was fun 45mins). Cable car ticket is included free of charge in the room cost that means unlimited up and down trips between the hotel and the town (Davos Platz Promenade). Finding the logistics of car parking was a bit of guess work which became clearer when asked at Schatzalp Seilbahn ticket office: They keep a list of room bookings and will give you a parking permit for Hotel Europe car parking 100m down the Promenade on the right hand side). Come ready to the ticket office with 50CHF as deposit for parking and cablecar pass. The hotel will issue the contactless pass for the cable car when checking in. They also eventually bill you for parking at 20CHF per day. Promenade is a one-way road (except for buses) so you have to access it from the East side and then drive West. Alles klaar and Swiss efficiency when you have done it once.

Despite the hotel being a bit old and run down in some areas the hotel deal we received offered excellent value for money. The location of the hotel is fantastic and many features of the hotel are still excellent. I would recommend this to a family looking for a nice relaxing alpine stay.

Great sledding destination!

This hotel is quite charming in its public spaces with a lovely fireplace and comfortable sofas and chairs to enjoy the evening listening to live music. The outdoor \"Beach\" for snacks and drinks offers a terrific view. The rooms are spacious but not luxurious. Comfortable and adequate. No TV in rooms, but wi-fi. The big draw for us were the two excellent, well-groomed sledding runs from just steps outside the door. Breakfast buffet offered a good selection of hot and cold choices. Could have used more local info (or ANY info) in the room.

Nice, but...

We went in the summer, FYI.
Having to take the train up and down is fun, though inconvenient. Close to hiking trails and an absolutely fantastic view. The only real problem with the place is that it's so run down. Looks like there hasn't been any real maintenance done in 30 years. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast was great.

Also, parking is 20 CHF a day, which they don't tell you.

Hotel Schatzalp - step back in time

I spent 4 nights at the Schatzalp in July 2010 for the Swiss Alpine Marathon.

Perched on the hills above Davos, you need to take a funicular railway to the hotel. It's a short trip, from the middle of town and the railway goes every 15 minutes.

The hotel is a beautiful old classic and although it is a little tired in some places it retains many original features and much of it's charm for doing so.

The views are spectacular - over the town and across the valley - from the rooms at the front.

While my room wasn't luxurious it was clean, tidy and more than large enough. It also had a large terrace with table and sun loungers.

The room was decorated with traditional wood panelling and it's good that this hasn't been renovated over. The bathroom is small but has s good, powerful shower.

There is no TV (a good thing, there is one in the bar) and free wifi.

The staff were superb - very friendly and accommodating.

I had a great time at the Schatzalp and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

You can't ski-in and ski-out.

The hotel has character, the bedrooms are spacious, the staff helpful and the public rooms elegant. However, since we previously stayed there, it has become impossible to ski from the Shatzalp to the Davos ski pistes. This means that you have to go down on the funicular railway and then catch a bus to the Parsenn funicular. This is a serious inconvience and would cause us not to return.

This is a very special hotel. It is like going back in the past. We felt the atmosphere of what it was like 100 years ago. Not a place for party but much more for relaxing. The only activity that I did was taking a sauna after ski
It is classy service in an old hotel. The hotel is quiet and up in the mountain with great view.

A historical hotel 100 years old - but should have been since then renovated

The setting of this beautiful, historical hotel from more than 100 years old is great, and has direct access to a smallish private skiing area, which actually turned out to be very nice, as there were not so many people skiing. Beautiful views over Davos. But the hotel definetely and deperately would need renovation, now I am not surpriced why a hotel in famous Davos and with this great location was so inexpensive. Rooms were very basic and the hotel services, such as sauna and pool had seen their best times (some 50 years ago). Breakfast was good and the lobby areas etc looked nice and historical, but I certainly would not come here for a holiday again. The service was lousy, seemed as all personnel were trainees (probably true). The elevator did not work (I stayed in 3rd floor, so with the ski boots it is a challange), and there was no note of this on the door of the elevator and you just stand there and wonder why does the lift not come while several hotel personnel walkds by and says nothing. Overall the service was really unprofessional. If the hotel undergoes a renovation, with this location it could be luxury hotel.

Interesting location

Schatzalp is up a 3-min cog railway ride from downtown Davos, and that's the only way to get there other than a 1-h hike. The cog only runs from 8 am to 11 pm, every 15 min until 7 pm and then every 30 min, so you have to arrange your schedule accordingly! On the other hand, there are plenty of hiking options up the mountain that start from the hotel doorstep. The hotel is an old sanatorium and has a grand, slightly faded look which is kind of nice. Rooms are comfortable and remarkably quiet (no cars!). Staff is nice, breakfast buffet (included in room rate) is great. There's a room rate that includes dinner but I don't recommend it - dinner up there seems like an elegant but lonely experience, better take the cog downtown. The Panorama downtown has a really nice buffet of Swiss specialties - pile up your plate for 20 CHF. Best deal in town.

Das Hotel lebt von dem Flair als Jugendstilhotel. Es wirkt aus der Zeit gefallen mit tollem Charme. Einrichtung könnte trotz der erhaltenswerten Ausstattung zumindest tlw. erneuert werden (z. B. Badezimmer). Traumhaft schöne Gegend mit gut beschilderten Wanderwegen. Ruhe. Keine Autos! Sehr freundliches Personal. Gehobene Preise im Restaurant.

Erwartung wurde leider nicht erfüllt

Leider ist dieses Haus mehr als in die Jahre gekommen, Matratzenfedern kaputt, stören den Schlaf, Möbel zerkratzt, miefige Flure. Das Personal war bemüht und freundlich. Das Frühstück für Schweizer Verhältnisse enttäuschend, Birchermüsli grauselig, von der Qualität bis zur Präsentation. Es tut mir leid dies so zu schreiben, will keinen weh tun oder schaden. Der Preis ist ebenfalls nicht angemessen. Hoffentlich findet sich ein Investor für dieses Haus, positive Beispiele gibt es genug in der Schweiz.

Zeitreise in Davos

Mit der historischen Seilbahn in die Vergangenheit - von der pulsierenden, modernen Stadt in weniger als zehn Minuten hinauf in eine Wohfühl-Oase. Das ehemalige Sanatorium Schatzalp in Alleinlage als ein architektonisches Highlight, 100 % Jugendstil. Balkone und Terrassen mit Alpenblick, vertäfelte Salons, vertäfelte Zimmer, historisches Mobiliar, etwa die historischen Liegen aus der Zeit der Liegekuren des Sanatoriums, rundum stille Natur, gepflegte Wanderwege durch Almwiesen und Wald. Eine etwas besonderes Hotel

Wie wussten, was auf uns zukam, waren also nicht uberrascht, in einer Art Museum zu übernachten. Deshalb konnten wir mit allem guten und weniger guten durchaus leben, Misslich ist nur der Gepäcktransport. Hier sollte zumindest für Pkw-Anreisende darauf hingewiesen werden, dass das Gepäck zunächst zur Schatzalpbahn gebracht werden muss. Dann muss der Pkw in die Garage gebracht werden (für Alleinreisende: werpasst auf? Der Mitarbeiter im Kassenhus spielt lieber mit dem Samrtphone). Oben angekommen, muss das Gepäck über zwei Treppen hochgeschleppt werden. Es dürfte oragnisotorisch doch möglich sein, dass Das Gepäck oben angekündigt wird und dann Hilfe bereuit steht. Wie sollen dies ältere oder gehbehinderte Menschen schaffen? Und dann am Ende alles noch enmal, nur anders herum. Sehr schlecht oder besser gar nicht organisiert.

Hotel mit Verbesserungspotential

Das Hotel befindet sich in traumhafter Lage.Tolle Aussicht.Da ich Jugendstil Hotel immer bevorzuge,hat dieses historiche Hotel mich sehr enttäuscht.4* .
Ein so schönes Hotel,sehr gutes Frühstück,Mein Matratzen der Betten im Zimmer( 241) sind nicht von guter Qualität. Die Lampe und der Spiegelschrank ,kein Jugenstil..Am allerschlimmsten der Teppichboden in den Korridoren..Voller Löcher..
Des Personal gibt sich Mühe..
Sehr schade,Freunden kann ichs (so wie es ist) nicht empfehlen...

Tout était parfait.
Attention, vous devez absolument indiquer aux futurs clients que l'accès et le parking de l’hôtel se réalisent à Davos Platz donc dans la vallée, au pied du funiculaire. Les clients et leurs bagages montent à l'hôtel par le funiculaire. C'est obligatoire.
Nous ne le savions pas et sommes montés en voiture par un chemin jusqu'à l'hôtel et avons dû redescendre pour laisser la voiture en bas !!!!!

Bei betreten des Hotels , weht einem ein angenehmer Hauch der Geschichte entgegen. Begleited von einem atemberaubenden Ausblick und durchweg freundlichem Personal , kann man den Aufenthalt sehr genießen . Abseits des Troubles lässt es sich auf dem hauseigenen Berg gut snowboarden . Das Liftpersonal steht einem jederzeit hilfreich zur Seite.

Historisches Hotel für Liebhaber, aber...

Historisches Hotel an top Lage, u. a. beschrieben von Thomas Mann in \"Zauberberg\". Kann nur mit der (zu selten verkehrenden) Zahnradbahn ab Davos erreicht werden, nicht mit dem Auto.
Schönes Jugendstil Haus mit wunderbarer Fernsicht, weg vom Trubel von Davos. Schlittelbahn und auch ein kleines Skigebiet vorhanden. Entsprechend dem claim \"Historic Hotels\" ist alles in einem sehr alten Zustand, auch die Zimmer. Man mag es oder man findet es \"sehr in die Jahre gekommen und sanierungsbedürftig\". Frühstücksbuffet vielseitig, aber nicht top. Eher ein 3 Sterne Hotel, gemessen an Komfort und Ausstattung. Wer ein paar Tage Ruhe sucht, ist hier richtig. Unten in Davos gibt es aber viel bequemere Optionen. Zum Skifahren auf Parsenn eher mühsam, man muss erst die Zahnradbahn nehmen, dann 15-20 Minuten laufen oder eine Rundfahrt mit dem Skibus.

Tuttavia la struttura necessita di una maggiore attenzione nella cura dei dettagli (andrebbe sostituita la moquette che poco rispecchia l'originalità dell'ambiente e risulta in cattive condizioni). Ci è poi sembrato scorretto dover pagare obbligatiriamente il parcheggio (sul marciapiede accanto alla partenza della funicolare) ben 20 euro al giorno senza essere stati preventivamente avvisati verbalmente o attraverso indicazioni alla reception.

Gemischte Gefühle, in Personalzimmer abgeschoben!

Rezeption und Empfang frostig, als online-Bucher in Personalzimmer auf Haus-Rückseite mit entsprechendem Interieur einquartiert - unschön! Betten durchgelegen, Zimmer roch ... erst mal Unfall und Dank den Engagemnt einer Zimmerdame konnte ich das Zimmer nach vorne, mit Aussicht und Balkon wechseln - seltsamer Kontrast zu dem 5-Sterne Restaurant, da war alles Top!

wunderbare Lage, traumhafte Bergsicht 300m über Davos, einmaliges Ambiente (noch der alte Aufzug, Doppeltüren zu den Zimmer, Jugendstilelemente überall), freundliches Personal, leckeres Frühstück mit grandiosem Ausblick, abends Klaviermusik in der Bar...
Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind im alten Stil gehalten, nicht modern. Das muss man mögen.

Hotel with a soul

The hotel is originally a hospital built in 1900. We loved the remote location and the small ski area higher up.

Service was excellent with the exception that both the bar area and the restaurant was closed due to a wedding one evening. This was not properly announced and came as a surprise. Another weird thing was that smoking is allowed in the bar. Hotel owner: Seriously, its 2017 - smokers are used to smoke outside and non-smokers don't spend time in a smoke filled room anymore.

All in all a nice and very special hotel.

Jóia nos Alpes Suíços.

Foi muito bom.
O staff confundiu-se e não mandou as nossas malas até o quarto quando chegamos, o que nos fez perder quase uma hora.
No mais, sem reclamações.
O hotel é uma jóia. Totalmente de acordo com o original, tem diversos ambientes. Um deles, com o piano bar, e espetacular.
Sem falar na vista lá de cima, e o fato de ser isolado da cidade cria um clima muito atípico.

historisch hotel op unieke lokatie

Prachtige eetzaal en lounche, heerlijk zonneterras met uitzicht op het dal. 1860 meter hoogte, bereikbaar met gratis treintje vanuit Davos-Platz. In het sneeuwseizoen skiën vanuit het hotel naar de voor hotelgasten gratis skilift naar de Strela-Alp. Geweldig ontbijtbuffet en bij halfpension 5 gangen diner dat tegen sterkwaliteit aanzit (eigenlijk 6 gangen, want je kan ook nog gebruik maken van een aansluitend kaasbuffet). Prima sauna. De kamers zijn zoveel mogelijk authentiek ingericht en hebben geen tv wat ook wel eens lekker is. Er is trouwens een TV-ruimte met een grootscherm en comfortabele stoelen en je kan via de eigen laptop (wifi) programma's bekijken. De wifi kan 's-avonds overigs wel trager worden, omdat dan kennelijk iedereen erop zit. Het gebouw is meer dan 100 jaar oud en zit aan de buitenkant overal niet meer onberispelijk in de verf, maar dat heeft ook wel weer zijn charme. De faciliteiten zijn goed en de kamers worden goed schoongehouden.

Mooiste uitzicht op Davos

Toen ik dit boekte is mij niet opgevallen dat op 1860 mtr hoogte het hotel alleen met een privé treintje of te voet te bereiken is, ook niet dat ik mij in het dorp aan het loket van dit treintje moet aanmelden, daar een toegangsbewijs naar boven verstrekt krijg en mijn koffers kan achterlaten om vervolgens na betalen van borg twee straten verderop mijn auto in een parkeer garage kan neerzetten. Het hotel ziet er erg gedateerd uit, een likje verf aan de buitenkant kan geen kwaad. Het eerste wat mij opvalt in de slaapkamer , geen tv of ijskast en een matras die mijn gewicht niet meer aan kan oftewel versleten is. De douche wc heeft geen gordijn dus vanaf de straat ziet een passant je zitten of staan , ben 60 jr. dus zoveel is er niet meer te zien maar toch. Het ontbijt is in weekend tot 10 uur doordeweeks tot 9 uur. Het assortiment is redelijk , wordt verder niet aangevuld en om mij om klokslag 9 uur te komen zeggen dat ze gaan opruimen, niet echt tactvol.

I loved the surroundings and the hotel is absolutely stunning. I loved that everything is authentic and the hotel has a lot of history. The breakfast was great and the view from the dining hall was lovely.
However there were two cats living in the hotel when I stayed there! I thought it was unusual and charming but unfortunately I'm also allergic to cats.

Hotel mit eigener Bergbahn!
Hotel wie ein Museum aus einer früheren Zeit (vor ca. 100 Jahren)
Zimmer sehr spartanisch. Betten sanierungsbedürftig. Balkon und Aussicht einmalig. Kostenloses Skigebiet gemäss Ausschreibung, nämlich einfach und gemütlich. Auch für Spaziergänger ein Erlebnis.
Region im Ganzen aber für Geniesser empfehlenswert.
Mondänes Leben und Einrichtungen in kleiner Distanz (mit Bergbahn und öV)

Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gefallen, leider hat das Zimmer sehr nach Rauch gestunken inkl. Kleiderschrank etc. Für den Zustand des Zimmers, stimmt der Preis nicht ganz - die Zimmerausstattung ist sehr alt.

Historisches Hotel mit !!! historischem !!! Ambiente. Wer modernen Luxus mit SchickiMicki erwartet, wird sicherlich enttäuscht. Dafür besticht das Hotel in seiner Ausstattung mit Charme und Beschaulichkeit. Wie überall, wer mehr bezahlt bekommt auch mehr. Die Standardzimmer sind gut - die Superior Doppelzimmer sind wirklich gross; es muss ja nicht grad das Kaiserzimmer sein. Zimmer, Betten und vor allem Bad sauber und gepflegt - halt eben historisch mit Drehknopfwasserhahn und altehrwürdigen Lavabos. Alles sehr ruhig und friedlich. Das Frühstück ist ausserordentlich reichhaltig, gepflegt, gut und bis zur letzten Minute sehr gut und reichlich geführt. Der Zimmerservice ist äusserst zuvorkommend und freundlich - wie das ganze Personal - und das in der Schweiz! Wir haben unsere Tage und den Zauber des Berges rundum genossen.

Der Zauber vom Zauberberg ist verflogen!!!!

Das Hotel macht zuerst von aussen einen bombastischen Eindruck. Doch von innen ist der Zauber und der Glanz verflogen. Grosse Löcher in den Teppichen auf den Gängen. In den Zimmer Doppelfenster die einem fast entgegenkommen. Die Decken in den Badezimmer voller Staubweben und Badezimmer so klein, dass man sich kaum Drehen kann. Die Betten mehr als unkonvortabel und durchgelegen. Den Teppich im Zimmer erwähnen wir gar nicht weiter. Schade, dass man ein so schönes Haus so verkommen lässt. Das Essen am Abend war schlicht ungeniesbar, so dass wir gar keine zweite Chance geben konnten. Dafür war das Frühstück TOP!!!! Ein reines Kinderparadies haben wir angetroffen. Die Gänge auf den Zimmeretagen wurden kurzerhand zur Rennbahn umfunktioniert und somit war der Lärmpegel entsprechend hoch. Die Aussicht TOP! Die Verbindung zum Dorf..TOP!!! Das Hotel einen FLOP für den Preis!!

Wo ist der Zauber des Zauberberges geblieben?

von Aussen ein sehr schönes Hotel. Doch beim genaueren Hinsehen, ist das Hotel sehr renovationsbedürftig. Angefangen von den Teppichen auf den Gängen und den brüchigen Doppelfenster. Schade um einen so schönen Bau! Das Abendessen.....SCHLECHT! Anders kann man es nicht sagen. Dafür gibt es bei der Auswahl am Frühstückbuffet nichts zu meckern. Schade nur, dass wenn das Frühstück um 07.30 angeboten wird, es um diese Zeit noch nicht bereit ist und man noch tödliche Blicke vom Service-Personal erntet. Im Hotel waren hauptsächlich junge Familien mit kleinen Kindern. So wurden die Gänge schnell mal zur Rennbahn und zum Spielplatz umfunktioniert und dem entsprechend der Geräuschpegel hoch in den Zimmern. Für uns war der Aufenthalt sehr entäuschend was auch die schöne Aussicht nicht wett machen konnte.

Das alte Hotel hat sehr viel Charme. Der Service ist sehr gut, die Zimmer Sauber, das Frühstück ist ebenfalls gut. Zu bemängeln hatten wir als Paar nichts.
