Room was comfortable but a little lacking any soul. No kettle to make tea and fridge only 10 cm deep so unable to put own food and drink in it.
Need a car or taxi to get central .
You must book to have a sauna and steam . There are family hrs so kids playing in those times. We booked outside those hrs but they didn’t stop the children so those rules are pointless. Hey, it’s Italy!

A Fantastic Stay – Highly Recommended!

We had a wonderful experience at the Nicolaus Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt safe and well taken care of. The free shuttle from the airport was a huge plus and made our arrival stress-free.

The room was spacious enough for our family, which was a pleasant surprise, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – we all slept so well. Even the little things were thoughtfully done – we absolutely loved the soap!

Now, the breakfast… hands down the best we’ve ever had at a hotel. There were so many choices, from fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes and local specialties – something for everyone, and everything was delicious.

We also appreciated that there were plenty of good food options just a short walk up the road, which made dining out super convenient.

Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend!

Will not stay again.

Spa was nice. Location is bad. Was there on a weekend & could not get taxi or uber to town. Travelers beware! I had to walk 7 miles into town & back. I couldn’t drive as there was no parking. The hotel has a free airport shuttle but needs a set schedule for a van to town. Could’ve easily been done but they could care less. A/c works well. Also parking is paid & also breakfast was 60 euro for 2 people for 2 nights. Ouch! So not worth it. Will not be back.

Although we spent little time in the hotel it was well maintained and staff was good. Had minor issues in the room, tables were not stable but they fixed them , the soap in the shower was empty but other than that the ac worked , the room was clean all good. It’s a bit away from the sea side so keep that in mind it is in a more business area

I loved the entrance of the hotel. Very clean and welcoming. The staff was excellent and extremely accommodating. The breakfast was very fresh with many options. The rooftop dining was good with an amazing view of the city. This was truly an upscale hotel with many amenities. I would definitely stay there again.

Maurizio the shuttle driver was wonderful. He went out of his way to please. Also he wore many hats. He also cooked in the restaurant 👍 Hotel was very pretty and clean. A little bit away from city center. The only thing is we wish the rooms had more draws and hangers in the closets. And more towels. Although they always brought us some when we asked.

This is a great property if you need to get to the airport. It has free onsite parking.
It’s not near anything else and there are only 2 shuttles from the hotel each day . It was €25 into the old town in an Uber.
The hotel is very nice. The spa is a nice amenity to have. The restaurant was good and the breakfast at €15 was very nice.
The staff on the desk were very efficient and helpful. The room was good although the balcony door was not able to be opened. There was a coffee machine but no tea. There was a very small fridge and a safe.
The bed was comfortable and the room quiet.

There was no place to pick up convenience items/food at the hotel or within a short walk on a Sunday mid-day. Had difficulty finding a place to eat with gluten free options, since the hotel bar did not offer anything.

The 12th floor was extremely noisy in the evening since the bar was just above it and you could hear every chair moving across the floor all night long.

Airport shuttle has approx 6 pickup/drop off times per day. So don’t expect it unless you check with times first.

Room was clean and nice otherwise. Nice little balcony.

Too expensive for the quality of the stay

The hotel was very pretty but the a/c was terrible. In our first room the a/c was not working they sent a maintenance guy and didn’t speak English so communication was hard finally I called the front desk and asked to be moved to another room a/c was a little better but then around 1 am they turned it off till 7 am. Very uncomfortable all night long. We only stayed 1 night and all they did was offer free parking of 20 euros. Very disappointed overall. Their restaurant also very bad they got are orders mixed up and food had no taste.

C'era un matrimonio nello stesso periodo e il fotografo stava usando tutte le caratteristiche dell'hotel per catturare la bellezza di quell'occasione speciale. La nostra camera era confortevole e abbiamo dormito molto bene dopo quella cena. Anche la colazione in hotel era incredibile, un'enorme varietà di alta qualità. We chose this hotel for its proximity to the highway, as we needed secured parking for our rental car. This was a great home base for day trips. Cute dining options by foot, but the whole area is residential and lacks ambiance. Very safe neighbourhood. Friendly staff. Very decently sized room and bed. The spa /indoor pool area was lovely and relaxing. Nice hotel and easy walking to a few shops and restaurants . Just be aware the free airport shuttle is only at specific times and doesn't start til later in the morning so our early flight we could not utilize this service so had to pay for a taxi. Free breakfast starts at 630 but we had an early flight so didn't have time for this.

The hotel is a fantastic modern building with all that comes with the modern hotel, they gave us an upgrade to a suite which was a fantastic room, it was a shame we o my had the one night stay before starting our Italian tour of Puglia region.

Parking was another 12 euros on top of the stay even for guests, and the entrance is not easy to find, so head to reception area and entrance to underground parking is directly to the right of reception door.

We plan on staying at the end of the trip before flying back to uk, a nice touch of luxury before the long trip back.
