Well everything was good but what really disappointed me the most is the swimming pool.Been years the pumps are not functioning at the mini jacuzzi area.

Am a little surprised as how come they even the pool to public then.

In addition to that,the fan in my room had this weird sound where I actually reported this many a times,the hotel staff even said that they reported it to the management bit nothing was done,so I can only give a rating ,of 2-2.5 as a whole.

This hotel was a disappointment for me because of how the room was very old with old lights, furnitures, tv was the oldest tv ive seen, the bathroom was the part i didn’t like because its an old style shower where the restroom floor gets wet.
Swimming pool looks decent. Eating area downstairs is fine and balcony as well.

Superior room not very good

I paid for the superior room with kitchen. Staff were friendly but room hadn’t been lived in for a while. Musty and a few giant cockroaches. Biggest problems was with the water pressure for the shower...found myself stuck with no water halfway through doing shampoo...came back after 5 minutes but it happened more than once. Internet wasn’t security conscious. Password very simple. I think that there are better options around for the price...unless you want the most basic and cheapest room..

Bearable,but wouldn't rush back.

Well generally the hotel was tired,and be needs updating, rooms were clean but towels sheets and pillow seemed old,the housekeeping was hit and miss first day seemed like all they did was clean the bins, another day came back at 4.30 pm and saw the housekeeper and asked if she was going to clean our room today and she said no,so I put the bins in the corridor so she had to empty them ,get a bath towel and loo roll,not what you expect to do on holiday and the day before we left saw her in reception and she asked if I wanted the room clean and I told her not to bother,as we were leaving early the next morning.
The swimming pool was clean and nice for a quick dip , but the furniture around the pool was broken with legs snapped off sunbed,and other furniture in a tired condition.
The balcony is open to other rooms and dirty and fronted the road which could be noisy at times,and to top it off no batteries in the TV remote control,I didn't have much choice of hotels as I book it very late,it was bearable ,but I don't think I will be rushing back.

It’s OK, nothing special

Hote was ok, delux room facing the street was a waste of money, balcony offered no privacy and was neglected. Mattress was on a 100mm high platform on the floor, comfortable enough but too low for older people. Shower was the usual low pressure dribble.

Great budget hotel, badly managed

5th and probably the last stay in this Hotel.It has been poorly managed/maintained recently, with negligible service.Seems to be running on an autopilot & its hard to find who can actually assist you (especially during nights).The night staff is busy watching TV with his friends and least interested to assist.Poor WiFi in the rooms, balcony furniture full of fungus, broken, safe broken, electrical plugs loose & cannot hold,extreme low water pressure, mold build up in the toilet, swimming pool not clean, torn bed sheets, no repeat Guest recognition (even after telling them about it), no porter service, so you have to carry your suitcases yourself up the stairs with no lift. Their beach shuttle (tuktuk) broken down, very strong fungus smell in the parking, everything is too much to ask as a service and they have one Manager (Lady) there for many years, who has no empowerment to think & act out of the box. Restaurant has been relocated is absolutely dead place with no service. You enter their kitchen to tell the staff to come and take your order. Juices and tea coffee are not served. You have to dig and look for things (They don't even tell, you where they are hidden).They will not even switch ON the FAN or A/C for you, you need to ask for it. Swimming pool furniture is broken & full of mold/ fungus. Beautiful property transformed into shambles. I am myself managing world class luxury Hotels for more than 2 decades.

Great location, <10min walk to Jungceylon

The Album Loft is a hotel on Nanai Rd that is clean, comfortable and less than a 10min walk to Banzaan/Jungceylon.
Those 3 features were enough for us to enjoy our stay but we wouldn't stay there again. There are better priced options on Nanai Rd than what you get at Album Loft.
The downsides:
The staff do not respond to emails in a timely manner. We tried to book an airport shuttle 3 days before our trip, they responded when we were already in the country.
The front desk staff is not the friendliest. They're not horrible but they just aren't enthusiastic to do anything.
The pool was always cloudy and murky and completely uninviting.
The Wifi drops out all the time, very frustrating. We ended up going to cafe's and bars to check emails, book any trips etc online.
The website claims they offer a free shuttle to Patong each day. Completely false advertising! Their hotel tuk tuk doesn't even work, it's just parked out the front for aesthetics.
The 1 bedroom apartments are badly designed with limited utensils. If you're considering one of these, don't bother. You'll only use the fridge as the rest of the kitchen is a waste of space with no balcony access. It doesn't even have a toaster or bottle opener and there was only 1 knife, 2 spoons and 2 forks.
In general, the hotel is in need of an update.

Nice clean hotel, large rooms has all the basics for a good stay.
Reception open 24 hours even when returning in the small hours after a night out.
I'm from a large city so the street noise was not a problem just added to the Phuket, Patong experience :)
No lifts I stayed on 3rd floor not a problem but if you have a aliment then maybe not for you.

Simple, Clean, Quiet - but stilll close to town

Dont confuse with its sister hotel - The Album (in town). This is a little out of town on high side of Patong. Still only a 10 minute walk to - say - Joycelin Shopping Centre (but there is better shopping before you get there - a row of stalls on the end of Nanairuamchi (just less airconditioned!)...Room and linen was clean, simple - was on the pool side of hotel (recommended) had a nonfunctioning powerpoint for the electric kettle, but there were other plugs next to the bed to use so not too much of a hassle. Due to a slight minibus accident I arrived later than expected. The reception staff on at that time were cordial, but not really overly welcoming (well, it was quite late!) The staff on the next day were fabulous though - and quoted an 'extra day' rate some 200Baht lower than the staff the night before! (800B vs 1000B) There are some good little cafes, food stands and places to grab a beer nearby at a fair bit less than the touristy places 'down the hill'. Has a simple pool - mercifully shaded in the mornings for those of us still white as a lilly. All in all, a simple, clean, easy going place to stay in a good location a little away from the madness to help acclimatise

Nice hotel, got to stay in a room overlooking the pool. Room smelled like cigarettes, but I bought a air freshener that solved the problem. Pool is very nice, the bathroom could use a bit update but still ok. The hotel is 10 mins walk from the famous and super busy Bangla road, but there are many restaurants and bars just down the road. There's a 711 and a mini market just across the road. I'd recommend this hotel for solo and couple travelers, not for families. It can get a big loud over the weekend..

Nice hotel, good location

Its a nice hotel. Within walking distance to all the main attractions. The Staff were polite and helpful. The room was big and modern, and surprisingly quiet. Only complaint would be that the bed wasn't very comfortable and dragging your luggage up 4 floor wasn't that much fun. But other than that, its a great place to stay. I'd recommend it.

Patong is touristy soulless place for \"party animals\" who are too lazy to find something unique. We had to stay for one day/two nights as in-between late flight and liveaboard diving trip. Hotel was very good for the price. Although far from beach location was good. Close to shops, laundry and some \"not packed with tourists\" restaurants. Best feature is pool since Patong beach is full of people and hawkers.

The location is good, very quiet and about 10min from the center and around 15. 20min of the beach. A lot of little markest around. I would totally gonna stay there again if i go back to pucket.

It was a perfect location, a 5-10 mins walk to th street market and Jungceyloun mall. Patong beach is about 15 mins away from the hotel.
The staffs were friendly and amazingly, they can speak perfect English though I couldn't clearly understand what they were trying to say. The guy who checked us in, carried our luggage up to our room as well. We do not need to lift our fingers to carry the bags. Superb!
We booked for a suite. Everything was perfect except that th bathroom door for th shower is abit of a trouble and there is no hair dryer as well. So for those who badly needs hair dryer, I suggest you to bring one!
We had a splendid stay. Sadly, we did not use th swimming pool as we are too tire doing so much activities as soon as we reached th hotel. :)

Fantastic Service

This place is highly recommended. i liked the friendly english speaking staff here. Really felt good staying here. The rooms are clean. Got what was booked. Jungceylon mall is walking distance away. Beach is 20 mins walking. Centrally located and necessary eminities arround. To sum up highly recommended for budget or mid-budget stay. You will be happy to choose this hotel.Breakfast included was good. Being a vegetarian had decent choice.

We had a really great time at the Album Loft, my girlfriend and I. I have to be honest and say that we had a really good deal since we have received a free upgrade because of an administrative problem. Overall, the personnel was really nice (by far the best we encountered in Thailande so far) and the pool and the room were very clean and beautiful. It is a bit outside the center of Phuket, which is a good thing because Phuket gets really noisy at night. It's about 10 min by walk from the Bangla market and maybe 30 min from the beach.

Overall the 3 days 2 nights stayed were valued for money....but the locating the hotel is an issue. The Hotel is sign board is not visible enough as there are a lot of Hotel sign board along the road. Took us a while to locate the hotel while driving. The swimming pool is clean and nice.

Nice hotel close to beach

The Hotel is really nice! It is a new hotel so rooms and overall condition is great! Beach and Shopping center are close, about 1,5-2km away. The Pool of the hotel is very nice and the staff really helpfull and speak good english. Allso the hotels restaurant, Le Phuket, had very good food with deacent price. Breakfast is ok but allmosta same thing every morning, eggs, toast, cerial, rice, chikcen soup. Highly recomend!!!

Hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Patong Beach. No elevator. Superior Room was more than spacious and had a kitchenette attached to it also. Front desk staff was very helpful. Hotel had a pool though we didn't get time to utilize it. Breakfast spread was good. Overall, good and value for money.

What an experience

Album Loft is a very modern but comfortable hotel (you get more that what you pay for). We stayed in Thailand for three weeks traveling around from cost to cost. The first week we nearly stayed for a week in the Album Loft (which is pronounced Ali Bum Loft) and we had the best service in Thailand ever!!!. The rooms on the web site are what you get and more. There was free coffee and tea which was replaced daily, a free safe in every room, TV with various channels, FREE air-conditioning and a fan and free Wi Fi. The room was spotless and the bedding was so clean and crisp it was a delight to get back to the room after a day’s excursion. The swimming pool was a good size, clean and with a shower area. We enjoyed our stay that much we re-booked on our return to Phuket for three more days before traveling back to Bangkok. There is a 15 minute walk from the hotel to Phuket town, which is a little bit hilly however we enjoyed the walk it was our daily exercise however there are shops and bars on the way into the town and the hotel is way from the noise of lively Phuket. From the hotel in the opposite direction you can get a tuk tuk or a cab into Karen beach.

Satisfied with quality of hotel.. for the price we paid, this is really value for money. Clean and nice looking room.. Location wise near to 7-11, places to rent bikes.. abt 15min walk to Bangla Rd.. need to walk uphill and downhill but otherwise still alright. Not much variety for bfast, was eating the same thing every day. Also confirmed a shuttle frm airport to hotel for 900 baht which never turned up but its okay since we found a cab for a cheaper price. Hotel number provided is wrong.. cab driver not sure of hotel's exact location.. not that prominent.. thank god we had GPS. Staff tried their best to be helpful but their English was so-so hence might have a little prob communicating. But i will still recommend friends to this hotel for the price, cleanliness and still accessible location.

I stayed at the Album Loft for 10 nights in a superior room. The room was very comfortable and stylish. Daily house keeping do a great job. The wireless Internet is good, it did rain for 2 days on my trip and did effect the Internet but overall was fine. About 15 min's walk to the beach which I like because you get to experience all the local stuff that is going on in the area as you walk there. Plenty of local thai food places cheap and nice around this hotel and even a great espresso bar 2 min's away. Would stay again and recommend to others, great price and value.

Basic, clean with friendly staff!

I was by own, and I had the cheapest dbl room!
It was basic but really clean, with air con, cable tv,
free wifi and kettle (tea, coffee, water every day provided)
Only 10 min walk and you are in the middle of hektic and busy town.
There are planty of shops, restaurants etc!
I had a room with swimming pool view, so wasn't laud like in rooms on the
street side! Swimming pool- small but I was spending my time on the beach;)
and other islands!
It's worth 3* - not luxury but u won't be disappointed
if you need just basic, clean accomm.
Hotel restaurant - good food and prices ;)

The staff was very good, the food was good, and the room was very nice with a small kitchen. They have a computer for guest use by the reception and complimentary, scheduled shuttles to the beach. The only issue is that the beach is too far to walk comfortably - I'm guessing about a 20 minute walk. I did not attempt it.

Asian style beds on the floor like futons, toilet-shower combo, air-condtioner, welcome juice, free shuttles to the mall, shared balcony with neighbouring rooms, free waters, kettle for your cup of noodles, bad breakfast but good croissants. This says It's a guest house, but It's really a hostel. Good for two nights not extended stay, nothing to write home about, but not terrible either. Pretty cramped living quarters.

Me and my son stayed in this hotel for ten days, our room was big an bathroom was ok. cleanliness was very good, if you want they clean the room every day. Nice Swimming pool area is not very big but it was ok for this kind of hotel. Hotel staff was nice and frendly.
All in all i think this is a good hotel for couples for a cheap prise. If i had with me small kids i probably choose a hotel whom is more adjusted for kids...)

Left early. Could not take anymore!

The general area of Patong is generally overcrowded, very noisy. I need a vacation from this place after spending 3 nights. We hardly slept due to noise from local bars. Our last night, people who were intoxicated were banging on the door of our room and yelling at 4 AM. There is no phone in the room, so we could not call the front desk. Nobody from the hotel came to see what was happening. Finally, about 15 minutes later, they left. The hotel is has open concept and anyone from the surrounding area can enter it. There is no security. When we checked out the person at the reception didn't seem to care that we decided to leave 1 day early without any refund. Just happy to get out of a very unpleasant place!!!

Good value for money

Staid some wonderful five nights in the Album Loft at Patong Beach. With this hotel, it's not about how they do it but rather what they're willing to do. The hotel features numerous extras such as swimming area, booking service, breakfast, pool table and beach towels at request. In addition, the hotel shuttle service more than makes up for it's rather poor location.

Album Loft Comfort of home for cheap

When we arrived, we were surprised at how chic the hotel is. It was well designed and didn't feel at all too clinical like some hotels can be. Staff were friendly and made us felt at home throughout or stay. Our rooms are clean and super cosy, with a big balcony overlooking the street. Overall we were very satisfied with the Album Loft and will definitely be back. We recommend Album Loft to anyone.

room ok, but very uncomfortable bed...
restaurant nice and good... breakfast ok but not worth to mention...
pool-area ok but there is no sun and the construction next to the hotel is noisy...
location is pretty far from the beach... but to be honest, patong is just massiv tourism and not really worth to visit.... i my opinion the album loft is in the better area of patong... there are many small and nice restaurants around it... far away from the crowd...
very friendly staff...
over all good value for money... i think three stars is a reasonable rating... if i would ever go back to patong i would probably book this hotel again (i will never go back again!)

CHEAP BUT NOT BAD

The Album Loft at Patong is ok, everything is just ok but for the price it was fine. We stayed for two nights as a part of our honeymoon moving around Phuket and found it a great place to sleep off a hang over! Its a short tuk-tuk ride away from Bangla Road but far enough away to be quiet at 4am! The breakfast was average even compared to other hotels at similar prices but there was plenty of places to eat around the hotel...

This is the first time i stayed at the album loft and i have to say i was satisfied. The exterior is pretty misleading as it doesn't look like a hotel at all. Most cab drivers don't know it just by name, so make sure you have the address handy. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable. The only downside is the location. It takes forever to walk to the beach! So be prepared...and you have to walk though some sketchy areas to get there....if you have a scooter or dont mind taking cabs, its perfect place to stay

well the album loft is a clean and neet hotel closse to good shopping and a 10 min walk to the beach the room are all under going a refit and but was clean and cool the pool was just the righ size and clean the staff were great and helped in every way and the small restaurant had westan and thai and well priced so allround a good clean hotel and i will be back next year for a good brake good for all ages.

good for the money

the hotel is located on the 3rd line of Patong which is not convinient, when you need to go to the Bangla road in the evening.
But if you rent the bicke, it's verry nice and have a cheap price, if you book the room by internet.
Surround there are more hotels and gesthouses then you can imagine!!!

Would definitely stay there again!

Stayed at the Album after reading favourable reviews here so I thought it only fair to add my voice also. The Album Loft is a great place to stay for people who want to see all that Patong has to offer on a budget. But a budget that still demands cleanliness, a/c, a pool and friendly staff.
Not a disability-friendly hotel with beds on the floor and a single flight of stairs to room floor.
Though it's a bit out of the way, the hote offers a free shuttle to Patong beach or Jungceylon. Coin tips were welcome!

No frills, but SO cheap!

NB- our package included breakfast. I'd recommend eating at a local restaurant or Jungceylon Shopping Centre instead. :-)

Read the only review I could find on tripadvisor and was a little skeptical at first but when I came here I was greeted with smiley staffs. They even changed to a beach chair for me when I said I would like one in the room. Besides that, I get shuttle service almost anytime though there are specific timings on the board. When they can they will help, they will definitely help you. Luckily for me I have a nice hotel in this crappy weather in Phuket! I will recommend this place and definitely stay here again the next time I'm here!

Amazing boutique hotel in Patong at a budget price

Brand new boutique hotel just 10 minutes drive from Patong Beach. My room was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Room included a TV, safe and free Wi-Fi. Hotel has a restaurant, pool, laundry service, and free tuk-tuk shuttle to Jungceylon shopping center and Patong Beach. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Based on prior experience, this did not feel like a budget hotel. It was so much nicer than any of the others I've stayed in. The neighborhood is a bit noisy during the day due to rampant construction, but quiet enough at night. I stayed for 10 days and felt quite comfortable the entire time. I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely stay there again.

mmmm, good choice for this price

It was little bit hard to find the hotel because of the shape of the street and hotel board.
It was like old style hotels but inside of the room was really clean and quiet.
Crew was really polite.
Also It's good for families.
It's little bit far from beach(15 min walking) but there is a free transfer from hotel to beach 3 times a day.
Hotel has a free highspeed internet access.
It's not like a 5 star hotel but It's very good choice at this price.

La grande nouveauté de cette hôtel est l’installation d’un ascenseur. En ce qui me concerne ce n’est pas le 1er séjour dans l’établissement. J’ai le regret de vous faire part que le personnel est moins présent. Une journée la chambre n’a pas été faite, des serviettes de bain manquantes ainsi que le papier wc. Concernant le petit déjeuner nous avons opté de le prendre dans un restaurant situé en face.

Varasin hotellin ensin pariksi yöksi. Huone oli ihan hyvä. Hotellissa ei ole kahvilaa, eikä baaria. Uima-allas sen sijaan on. Uima-allas on pieni, mutta ihan hienoa päästä pulahtamaan välillä veteen. Ympärillä on rakennuksia, joten aurinko pääsee paistamaan allasalueelle ehkä noin 5 tuntia päivässä. Henkilökunta on ystävällistä ja auttavasta. Hotellin hinta-laatusuhde on hyvä. Tykkäsin niin paljon, että viivyin vielä pari yötä lisää.

Die Durchschnittsbewertung ist viel zu hoch für dieses Hotel.
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wäre nicht schlecht, wenn man den Balkon schließen könnte. Und dann kommen wir auch gleich zu den Mängeln:
Balkon lässt sich nicht abschließen (auf jedes Zimmer bezogen)
Die Lage ist furchtbar
Es gibt zwar einen Balkon, aber auf diesem fühlt man sich sehr unwohl und man hat nur einen Ausblick auf Käbel
Die Toilette ist in der Dusche und ist bei uns fast übergelaufen
Es gibt einen Tresor, aber wir konnten diesen nicht nutzen, weil bereits ein Code vergeben war den keiner wusste.
Das \"Bett\" ist nur eine Matraze am Boden (hat uns persöhnlich nicht gefallen) und die Decke kratzt
Die Klimaanlage ist sehr alt. Auch wenn man sie voll aufdreht, kann es eine Stunde dauern bis die Temperatur von 30 auf 25 gesunken ist.

Für die, denen ein kleines Zimmer mit Matraze und Gefahr auf Diebstahl über den Balkon nichts ausmacht. Denen würde ich das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Wir haben 4 tage gebucht, haben dort aber nur 1 Nacht verbracht.

PS: Österreichische Gefängnisse sind schöner
