The hotel's air conditioning has been inoperative for year, but they still advertise as having air conditioning. This is deceptive marketing.

I slept terribly because the rooms are sweltering hot. As you can see from other reviews, this is an old issue. The staff are aware, but the management doesn't care. Terrible property management. I will complain to the superintendencia.

The room location was terrible. The sliding glass door was over the breakfast area and you could hear every click clack sound and all the guest conversations. Breakfast was from 6am to 10am and there were many people. Also dinner was late and people dand many people out laye . There was one night where the cl we animg crew was moveling tables and chairs til 1am.

Booked on line then upon arrival claimed they overbooked and I had to find another. Thank goodness our driver spoke some English and translated for us because front desk clerk didn’t speak any English. Expedia really helped us 100% in finding another hotel.

We booked this last minute due to a flight cancellation. Location is in the middle of town. Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean. Breakfast which was included was wonderful and was mixed with eggs. Breads, fruits and made to order eggs. Area felt safe in the day and very lovely in the night. It was fine to spend the night.

We arrived 2 hours early and were told room is not ready. We went out and was back 25 to 30 min before check in. They said they can check us in by 3:pm which we understand. We stayed at the hotel lobby. At 3:00 pm they still did not give attention until we approached them.

This hotel is well equipped for the tourist and business traveller alike in an excellent safe and central location.

I experienced excellent customer service even before I arrived for my stay. My emailed pre-arrival enquiries were mailed pre-arrival enquiries were responded to promptly and in informative detail via WhatsApp. The breakfast here is excellent offering a very good selection of local and European fare to suit even the fussiest of requirements. The staff cannot do enough to help you - Special mentions to reception, housekeeping and the food and beverage team .

The hotel is extremely well managed , with the staff being identifiable as the true asset; always smiling,very helpful with a 'can-do' attitude in delivering excellent and consistent customer service. The hotel is a relatively short and leisurely walk from the main attractions of the city centre.

The facilities are well maintained. The gym is small but the cardio equipment is well-maintained and in good working order. There is also an very goo co-working space which I made good use of. The rooms are well equipped and cleanliness is excellent.

Throughout my travels in Colombia and the South/Central American region I have stayed in some very good hotels but the GHL Abadia Plaza has to rate as being my best experience to date without question. Here it's about a team of people who truly live the values of their brand! My thanks to Paola Timana and the GHL Abadia Plaza team.

EXCELLENT HOTEL. The service/desk was amazing. They catered to all our needs. The bed was sooo comfortable. INCREDIBLE breakfast. The location was in the most active and fun part of Pereria, bustling with people and shops and energy...yet it was very quiet at night. The lady at desk allowed us to keep our luggage at desk until late afternoon while we took a tour. Extremely clean/nice. If you are looking for comfort and don't want to spend a fortune, you will be extremely satisfied. I am a picky person when it comes to hotels and i definitely reccomend this one. It is not brand new, but it is excellent overall :)

Great service and comfortable rooms. We checked in almost at midnight to leave very early, at 5:00 am to the airport. Since we were not going to be able to have breakfast at the hotel they offered to prepare it to go. It was so nice to have fresh fruit and a warm sandwich. Well packed for the 4 of us. Very very nice!

El servicio estuvo bueno, me ayudaron mucho con el check in temprano. No me gustó que no había forma de tener acceso a agua potable a menos que uno pague por la botella. Mucho ruido alrededor del hotel, a lo mejor por la ubicación tan central así que no se puede descansar mucho. Me pareció algo raro y excesivo el cobro de los impuestos de hotelería en Colombia considerando que yo ya había pagado por adelantado usando mi cuanta de Hotels.com. Sí alguien del hotel Abadía Plaza será tan gentil de explicarme este cobro yo les agradecería.

This is a great hotel. The staff were very polite and professional. The room was extremely comfortable and clean. When I first walked in the room, even smells great. The bed was very comfortable. This was a very quiet hotel so I slept great. The breakfast was superb. I absolutely look forward to staying at this hotel again. Overall a great stay 10.

Huge Renovation underway. For the price goodchoice

Keep in mind this hotel is going over a huge masive renovation. Other than that, I love almost everything. The location is not the greatest, keep that in mind also. After 7 pm you should not stay walking in that area. This hotel is a good price for what offer.

Great hotel but they ripped me off with the laundry services. 5x more than it should have been. The prices were posted, but I didn’t even look since everything else in the whole country was cheaper then back home so I had no complaints… until I got laundry done here. I feel cheated.

It is a nice hotel, comfortable and convenient (close to the airport and main touristic attractions).

My suggestion is having power plugs next to the bed. Staff is friendly and they will help you with anything you need.

By night it is a lonely area so I recommend taking taxis wherever you go.
