This hotel is old and under renovation- which was not publicized at all. All the main facilities including the large pool area are closed. This, my family was forced to leave the next morning and cancel a whole vacation. We do not recommend anyone with kids to come here.

Lovely romantic holiday

We spent 2 amazing nights at the hotel. It was absolutely fabulous. What really put it over the top were the staff! Especially those at the pool/beach. You can’t swim in the beach in the early evening due to the tide (March) but you can do plenty of swimming in the morning and afternoon. The rooms were wonderful and the beds were very comfortable. The gym was small but has what you need for a work out. They have a ferry to the mainland every 30min which is free until about 7:45pm (?). We stayed on the island the whole time and really enjoyed the beach and pool. Would highly recommend.

This is not a 5 star hotel.
This should be 10 stars!
This hotel is an easy 100 on a scale of 1-10.
Yes, I can find flaws like food options for lunch or dinner and the cost of everything but believe me this might be one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and I tend to go to luxury hotels all the time . This is another level of luxury.

가기전에 본 후기에 벌레얘기가 많았는데 이정도 자연에서 묻혀 살수 있다면 너무도 이해가 가는 수준의 벌레들이고 심지어 모기향 피워두고 하니 숙소자체엔 모기도 없었고요. 식사도 좋고 그냥 모든 풍경이 힐링 그 자체였던 완벽한 휴양지!!!

Staff: This is key because for me bad staff can ruin my trip. The staff here were amazing!!! Probably the best thing about Naka is the people they employ - even the 'student trainees' were great. The GM David was awesome, Nana was great, the two students Film and Maddie were super nice and the Head of Activities (cannot remember the name) was a lot of fun. Seriously, every single person was kind and polite. I could not believe it!

This place just might have to be my go-to yearly for New Year's! I loved it! Before I went I thought the excellent reviews were fake but they are NOT!! This place is amazing: clean, comfortable, safe and NOT crowded at all (on some days there were literally 6 people on the beach and most were my family!)

Just returned from a lovely 10 days at Naka Island, great relaxing spot.

Special thanks to Edward who went out of his way to make the trip very relaxing. Nothing was too much trouble. It was sad to leave! Never had such incredible service as we got from Edward!

Great plus was being able to cycle outside the villa to the Naka Palm restaurant in the next door village if we wanted to eat out one night- was nice to have the option of a free bike at any time to sample local food.

Fabulous hotel. Great amenities, great location. A quiet place to rest. BUT outrageous food price. There are zero option to eat outside of the property on this tiny island (except for a small local Thai with limited choice), and it is clear that the hotel is taking advantage of this to charge 3 times more than what they should. Drinks are also very expensive.

Seclusion - Nature - Buggy Time!

Naka Island Resort can best be described with one word: \"Seclusion\". There really isn't much around, but I guess that's what they're trying to achieve. Get to the village to see natives (15m walk), get to the beach (30m walk). I love walking, but not in unpaved mosquito habitat areas. like ALOT of MOSQUITOS. And the bikes always never seemed to be available the 4 days we stayed there. There's no convenient stores and you have to travel back to the Marina to get in / out of town to get something as simple as fresh fruits. Everywhere was \"buggy\" this / \"buggy\" that. Kids loved this. The staff was nice and accomodating for this, but we sometimes felt like we were inconveniencing them. The room we had felt a bit dated, but it was interesting nevertheless. At least we had our own pool. :)

I liked the property as it was isolated from the main land. It was resort living with the staff taking care every need you gave quick and efficiently. The pool was amazing and free ice cream every afternoon didn’t hurt either!

The premise was gorgeous and absolutely breathtaking. The pool was slightly disappointing from what was seen In the pictures. The food was mediocre but charged at a very high price as everyone was just isolated and they had a captive audience. The last issue should not be the way to go as it made a mockery of the stay. Don’t mind paying lots for great food and alcohol but not really for normal meals and basic alcohol. It just takes a piss really.

Beautiful resort with fantastic facilities. It’s a bit pricey and for that money you would expect a better quality of food. It’s still good but you would probably eat better Thai food on the street for less than 10 times the cost.

Great location, shame about the service and pool

The location is good, private away from the hustle and bustle of the main Island but it certainly does not live up to 5 stars or luxury. The rooms are a great concept but the pools are green and full of algae and resort overall lacking in service. The main pool is also full of algae with broken tiles all over so bad I did not let any of my family use it. The staff are so polite and friendly but under pressure as there are not enough of them to give a good service, we actually felt sorry for them, expect to wait over an hour for your meal, buffets are not that great either and repetitive. The resort needs some TLC and there is a strong smell of sewage at times.

We were staying in Pool Villa as a family of 4 (5yo and 1yo), everything starting from the Ao Po Marina, till we arrived to our room was very nice - staff friendly and helpful (I would say even too much). The Villa was just OK, I think it was nice ~10 years ago, but now it is outdated, everything looks old and quick-fixed many times (some lamp switches have dimmer - none of them is working, not all door locks are working - instead of replacing it, the doors have sliding door latch look in addition to the original lock). What also looked weird in a \"should be luxury\" property was OSB boards - our Villa's roof was recently replaced and as a base layer it has OSB, which looks as a very cheap solution. Families should also bear in mind, that there are almost nothing to do for small kids and it is quite tricky to keep them not stepping into the pool in Villa and while eating at restaurant - one of us had always be close to them. To sum it up - in our family's opinion the resort is not worth the money. We would only come after everything is completely refurbished, as the location itself is very nice getaway from Phuket.

Amazing vacation!

From the pick up at the airport to the boat ride to the hotel to the food to the service to the property everything was outstanding! I couldn’t imagine better service anywhere and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels! The staff attended to your every need and knew what you needed sometimes before you even did! The property was lovely. We stayed in a villa that had its own little pool and cabana and daybeds. The main room where the bed was was air-conditioned and then the little short walk to the courtyard brought you to an open air bathroom. This had an indoor shower and an outdoor shower. This property is on an island but very easy to get around because they have their own speed boat it will take you back-and-forth to the pier. If you arrange it to her through them all the transportation is taken care of. The restaurants were good and the food was delicious and you could choose from a lot of traditional Thai dishes. The ice cream every day at the pool from 2 to 5 was very very delicious. Make sure and try the coconut as it is very good. I can’t wait to bring the rest of my family here and let them experience this amazing place!

This was our first time coming to Thailand and we made the right decision coming to Phuket and staying at the Naka Island Resort. The resort truly made our honeymoon experience wonderful. Everything we needed was taken care of and then some. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. It was so easy to book trips off the island! Along with hotel expeditions, they had an onsite travel company ready to book any and all adventures! The food was wonderful and exceeded out expectations. The Naka Island is truly a wonderful and magical place.

The complete package

We stayed for 6 nights in a seavire villa. The villas are large and have beautiful views of the sea. The grounds ante spacious and lush and the villas are discreet and blend into the scenery with style. This is a place to relax. It is understated luxury and discrete service at its best. The staff are what make this please special. We were very well looked after by the restaurant staff who handled our daughter's gluten allergy very well. A special mention must go to Daniele, Sky and Pom in the restaurant who were incredibly helpful and attentive (nothing was too much trouble!). Special thanks also to Rose and Ya and the front desk team who met all our requests with a smile. Very easy and accessible place with a private boat to take you to the jetty and golf carts to whiz you round the resort should you not feel like walking round the beautiful grounds. Spa also excellent. Very easy and relaxing holiday. Hope to be back!

This resort is a real treasure. It is splendid in every sense of the word. The resort is beautiful, it is luxurious, quiet and relaxing - the perfect place to destress. The staff are helpful and always smiling. The food is great. The spa is amazing ... but I only wish I booked my slots in advance because it was quite booked up. I would definitely recommend this resort to friends and will make a trip back soon. I would suggest the sea view villa for privacy. The only thing to note is that it is not a place for those who want to enjoy Phuket's nightlife or even Phuket town - for that you should stay in Phuket.

We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon here and found the whole resort, rooms and facilities to be very good. The only real negative was the cost of food and drinks on the island given you can't leave and if you do its costs 800Bht to do so (what a joke of a cost to leave the island!). The resort was large (around 60ish rooms) but well layed out and resorts were nicely spaced. Most seemed private but some were open to the pathways etc but it was generally very quiet so there was still a good level of privacy. The pools were really nice and next to the beach which was also nice for a dip depending on the time of day (the tide went out in the afternoon making it tricky to swim in the sea then - so we went in the pool then). The staff were very kind as well with drinks, towels and even free ice cream when next to the pool. The spa was excellent - it was highly priced however they had some 'deals' on which brought the cost down to somewhere closer to reasonable but it was worth the extra costs. The restaurants were ok - service was quite poor (they got our order wrong on 3/4 occasions during our staff) and quality was ok but very poor for the price you were paying (essentially good thai food but at very high western prices). The bar was very nice and had a lovely setting to see the sunset. The prices again were ridiculous but they did have buy one get one free between 8-9 which was good but then everyone left at 9.01pm.

Gorgeousssssss!!!

Incredible experience. In order to get to the resort you have to take a speedboat from a nearby marina. It takes less than 5 minutes to arrive at Naka Island. You then arrive on the beautiful elongated dock where it has some of the most stunning views ever. You are immediately greeted as soon as you step foot off the boat by a staff member that then personally drives you via golf cart to your private villa. The staff member then gives you a tour of the villa and checks you in while there. The villas are ridiculously beautiful. So relaxing and so quiet. You listen to the birds singing all day. The bed was extremely comfortable as well.

The pool area is impressive and the beach is also very stunning. I would highly highly recommend this place if visiting Phuket.

I have been very fortunate to stay at some fantastic five star hotels and resorts but this is quite simply the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The private villa was great, the food was high quality, and any place that gives out free home made coconut ice cream every day by the pool is definitely doing something right! Definitely somewhere I would love to come back to and stay again.

Overall my family including my wife and 7 month old son stayed here for 5 nights. It was great having the private pool to take him swimming. The restaurants and bar was also very good with great service. The only negative would be the local beach at the hotel which was merky, shallow, and could have used some more beach combing. We would stay here again.

Good for a quiet holiday with family

We were met by hotel staff at the jetty, which was a good start. Very friendly staff and we were made welcome in all aspects. The location was excellent for a short getaway with easy access to the mainland if need be...but we found enough to-do on Naka Island what with the Pool, Bikes, Jet Ski's, Canoes and Sailing boats at hand. Very different Villa experience made us relax and not worry about security or privacy.
Overall an excellent hotel with excellent staff who made us relax and unwind and we would recommend Villa as close to the Zbar for breathtaking sundowners.

Honeymoon Paradise

Perfect honeymoon hotel. Off the beaten track, this resort delivered in all categories.
The villa was huge, and private. Luxurious but rustic, like it had always been a part of the island. Little things here and there needed work, like a loose pool tile, but the staff was always available to sort it out.
The huge variety of food was fantastic, we never got bored. We could have taken a trip to the mainland for dinner, but never felt the need. We spoke with Chef Ian one night, he made us feel like friends who had come over for dinner.
We did two day trips. Both were private, and reasonably priced. We rented the boat, no guide. The longboat drivers are great guides and know all the spots. Skip the big island at Koh Kai. It's polluted and overrun with tourists. We had the small island to ourselves. The longboat driver the resort hired, Bwn was awesome.
Everyone on staff was lovely, helpful and accommodating. Our villa pool pump stopped working and the maintenance team worked tirelessly until it was fixed. Service is included in most activities, meals, etc, so staff never lingered awkwardly for tips.
I wish I could have gone to the spa every day. The Virgin Coconut body scrub was amazing. I should have gone at the beginning of the trip. The spa was absolutely beautiful, tranquil, and peaceful.
I cannot recommend this resort enough. It was almost at max capacity and you would hardly believe it. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. I can't wait to go back.

Nice & quiet resort

We stayed for 2nights at the naka island, in tropical pool villa. It was very quite and comfortable resort in general.

Spa - very classy and our masseurs did know what they were doing! Strongly recommend

Food - yes, few options (only 2 restaurants) and kind of pricy by Phuket standard. In terms of quality it's ok. The service is a bit slow though.

Transportation - we used the hotel limousine and it was very smooth .

Staff - very friendly in general

Facilities & entertainments - the common area of the resort is on the small side, ESPECIALLY the beach (not the white smooth soft sands you imagine). I can see the resort was trying to come up with sth else - a lot of free programs/activities. We attended sailing course (if you just rent the sail boat it's free, but if you need an instructor it's 1k thb/hr per pax, reasonable price though) and it was of loooooots if fun. The water was very clean as well. The resort is on an island of its son so it's very quiet.

Room - I like the design, and the style was very cute and one of a kind. There was even steam room in your bathroom. However, I feel like it needs a remodel sometime soon...

In general, I still recommend it if you visit phuket, it's above the standards of 98% of the hotels in that area.

Luxury experience at the Naka Island! Romantic

The Naka Island is just a paradise! This is amazing resort. From the beginning of your journey to the island they put you in a fairy tale. The service is great and helpful. Our seaview villa #37 was just beautiful. It is very private and you can see the sunrise from it. Open bathtub is just great. We filled it twice during our 5 days stay. Steam room is fine also. Last day we got 2 visitors to our villa: monkeys' couple. So we had to give them our fruits :) We had special package with free boat transfer, so when we felt bored, we just scheduled our transfer to main island and did some shopping. We also had free breakfast, make sure you choose it as your option, because prices are quite expensive, around $20-30 per plate. Zbar is a great place to view the sunset. We did it twice there, very beautiful. Free ice cream at the main pool is delicious. The only thing i would complain about is very expensive SPA. Cosmic prices. Like regular massage for $100. A way far from what we expected. Otherwise, it is truly luxury experience and very romantic for couples.

Wonderful resort, first time for me that a hotel looks exactly like the photos on the website, loved the infinity pool and privacy of the resort. The few drawbacks I can think of: 1) Private pool in the villa was not properly cleaned when the room was made up 2) Breakfast kitchen service was a little slow, some of the made-to-order breakfast items took very long to arrive, even the simple ones 3) the resort is really far from everything else so if you're looking to venture into town, taxi is a bit costly and it is recommended that you book a round trip from the hotel as it is not easy to find a taxi in town that will take you back to the marina 4) Charges for additional trips to and fro main Phuket island - I don't get this, at these prices, the resort should take the high road and make it complimentary. Apart from these, a great stay

Great get away resort

We stayed here because we wanted to have a quiet get away for couple of days. This was a great resort for what we wanted. Staff were extremely nice, many activities were provided by the resort, ie kayaking gear were provided by the resort, bikes were provided etc. Time on the island were great, quiet and at your own pace. Food service can be 24 hrs as you can order in room dining for late night orders.

Escape from everything

Resort is secluded and you will be in a peaceful environment. Rooms are clean, great and perfect to spent some quality time with your significant other. We were there for our honeymoon and it is the perfect setting. Staff is great, very helpful and friendly. They made every extra effort to provide our additional needs and requests.

Part of starwood group and they carry the same quality, but very different and unique experience then a hip and trendy W or LeMeridien.

Far from city center and the crowd, but you are on a secluded island and you will appreciate this if you are on this mind set.

You never saw them but the room was perfect including turn down service and candles on stepping stones leading to bathroom while we were at dinner. The villa was private and very romantic. Very relaxing. Really enjoyed the resort. Hope to go back. Open air bathroom (screened in), was warm and far to use at night.

Great place to be isolated with your partner

If you want stay in a little house with a small pool with a view on the beach or the James Bond Islands, then this is the place. My wife and I spent 2 nights there and this place just made us so relaxed and put us in a timeless state of mind. The food is not the hotel's forte I must say, this needs to be addressed, it does not make sense for a luxury property to have a very average food quality offering. The staff is great, the location on the island next to tinny Thai-Muslim village makes it an even greater spot to bike around.

We had a problem as for transportation.
the location of hotel is in island,that means they should make us know what pier we must go from airport,or how can we get transfer taxi or car after check out.
As long as 5 star hotel, they must arr arrange especially after care after checkout.

Beautiful Resort High Western Prices

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with welcome drinks. The executive chef even rode his bike to the pier to meet the guests. During our stay the manager of every department made a point of introducing themselves to us. Our pool villa, no 19 was amazing. they thought of everything from the Bose iPod docking station to mosquito coils and insect repellant. The ice blocks by the pool were beautiful. I thoroughly recommend the duck and salmon signature dishes.The spa treatment was the best that I'd had anywhere.

The spa, food & drinks prices were a shock as we were in Thailand. They were even higher than the 5 star prices we'd paid in Bangkok. Although the food was great it was overpriced for Asia. I can not justify paying $46 plus service & VAT for a champagne cocktail. To be honest my $4 cocktail on Phi Phi was much better Naka's $16 (plus service and VAT) blueberry cocktail. I don't mind paying double or even triple the local price for food that is exceptional. The food was lovely but not 4 or 5 times better than elsewhere in Thailand so did not justify the high prices. I understand that everything has to be bought in but the same can every other 5 star resort.

Despite this we are looking forward to our return to Naka in the future.
