Fabulous 10 day stay at this hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and always readily available to help you if required. Breakfast and pool facilities were excellent, and it is well situated for the short walk into Bardolino. The housekeeping staff did a great job - our room was always spotlessly clean.
The hotel also arranged taxi transport (at a reasonable cost) to and from Verona airport. If we return to Bardolino we would certainly stay here again.

Our flight was a little delayed so we arrived at the hotel a little late. The receptionist was very friendly and offered us water as it was a long journey. We checked into our room (there was 4 of us), and we couldn't have asked for a better room. Spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Good size bathroom as well with a power shower. The only drawback to the bathroom is that it needed hooks behind the bathroom door to hang clothes, but it was a minor inconvenience. Breakfast was also very good with an excellent spread and good service. The hotel is literally about a 5 - 7 minute walk to the town centre of Bardolino was has plenty of places to eat and drink. You can also catch ferry's to other towns from the harbour and its quite reasonably priced as well. The hotel also has multiple swimming pools. We really enjoyed our stay here..

The hotel and spa had excellent facilities. The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped.
The outdoor areas were beautiful although during this busy time it was sometimes difficult to find a deck chair in a shady spot.
The hotel itself is situated a 10 min walk from the lakeside town of Bardolino where there were plenty of options for eating and drinking.

Nice, modern hotel. Room a good size but decor is a bit drab and beds are too firm but comfortable overall.

The gardens and pool areas inside and out are fabulous but the experience is spoilt by the very hard and uncomfortable sun beds - why doesn’t the hotel provide cushions for the sun beds like many other hotels I have stayed in.

The food in the buffet is fairly mediocre, although we ate in Evo one evening and the meal was very good, but expensive.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beginning of the pedestrianised old town where there are so many excellent restaurants.

Hotel was spotless, rooms were lovely, although surprised our room only had a bath and no shower,
This was not an issue as we used the showers in the spa instead which were spotless and close to the sun beds so very convenient at the end of our days spent at the pool. I don’t usually use the pools in hotels however I used the several pools at the hote, the water was warm and there were several different pools to choose from which included jacuzzi and a small lazy river, the pool area was beautiful, decking and grass and beautiful flowers and bushes. There were an adequate number of sinners available. Breakfast food selection excellent. Juicer available for all guests to use. We ate dinner one night and the food was nice but I preferred to walk to restaurants in the town. Location of hotel is perfect, 5 min walk to Bardolino old town which is beautiful and has a large selection of superb restaurants. One of the reception staff was the only disappointment, never listened and talked over the top of you which we found very rude. Most of the staff nice and friendly but a few not so much. Maybe we had just previously been spoilt in the other two hotels we stayed in while visiting Italy as the hospitality and friendliness we received was excellent. I would still return to the hotel as far more positives than negatives.

Second stay at Aqualux

Our second visit to this hotel. The pool area is one of the main reasons we returned. It is fantastic for adults and kids and it's lovely to be outside in a heated pool when the weather isn't so great. Hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. No issues with the room or bathroom. Service levels are inconsistent. Some staff were great, others can be unhelpful and on the odd occasion appeared a little rude although that could be lost in translation. Breakfast was disappointing compared to last year when an omelette station was in operation but the hotel was very quiet on this occasion as we stayed before the main Easter weekend. If the service levels were more consistent I would not hesitate to give a 5 star review. It is very likely we will return in any event.

We stayed for a week, the hotel is located 10 minutes walk (ignore the reviews complaining of the walk, it’s only 10 minutes!) from the town which is lovely with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops and amazing views across the lake. Our room overlooked the pools and was lovely and clean with a big comfortable bed. The pool area has plenty of sunbeds with parasols and the pools are nice and warm. It also has a lovely calm atmosphere which is perfect for a relaxing holiday. The breakfast selection is fantastic and very good quality. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. We had lunch at the restaurant on a couple of days which was good, and drinks at the pool bar, which were also good. They also have nice touches like free watermelon at the bar in the afternoon and snacks during happy hour. Only minor gripe would be the WiFi wasn’t that reliable (I realise this will matter more to some people than others). All in all a great hotel and holiday.

We stayed here on our honeymoon and had a great time. The hotel had very good facilities, in particular we enjoyed the pool area and our pool view room. The breakfast had everything you could think of. The staff were extremely courteous and polite - we felt they went out of their way to help us whenever needed. It was conviently located in a nice quiet spot - only a short walk into town.

Aside from paying through the nose for a 'city view room which is in fact a view of the service road or car park. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful when I complained. The manager said that the cost of €200 per night included the 8 pools blah blah. The 8 pools do not even cover an olympic sized pool collectively. The hotel is dull. Not one ounce of sparkle. The breakfast is great and the bespectacled waitress hard working and amazing. The evening buffet with music was foul. The staff were lovely but the food wasn't replenished yet we'd only been there 30 minutes. It's not in a good location and there are far better hotels of which I've been to providing real vfm and in a nicer location.
Avoid it like the plague!

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR VALUE OF SERVICE & ACCOMODATIONS

The room offered for three adults was very uncomfortably small. The TV did not have any major English channels such as CNN. There were 3 iTV channels but no news in English. The hotel seems to serve mostly, the German speaking customers. The room had a thermostat but don't be fooled, the temperature was being controlled at the front desk. We had to call the reception desk at 3 am to get the airconditioning turned on from their end. Too many furniture pieces and cabinetry take up precious space in the room and bathroom. Our room overlooked the parking lot.
Great breakfast spread and outdoor pool with current and bubbles. Althought one of the outdoor pools was closed of and not in use. Location was ok but not too close to the lake. Put your walking shoes on.
Definitely overpriced.

Not a true Spa Hotel,

Having experienced other spa hotels both in Austria and Italy, in our opinion this hotel falls short at providing the spa experience. Lots of children jumping in pools which were supposed to be quiet areas. The saunas were just heat and steam no aromas or ambiance. However, if you want a family hotel with lots of areas for swimming and general running around close to a town centre then this might be for you. We stayed in a comfort room over looking the pool which was small at best. We had only two evening meal where we found the food mediocre hence we decided to eat at the many restaurants in town, the breakfast again nothing special, lack of choice - no freshly cut up fruit just the usual tinned pears and peaches, bacon poorly presented and not very appetising , none of the regular cooked breakfast items, bake beans, mushrooms, fried tomatoes etc. however, if you enjoy ham, cheese, and salami and lots of bread for breakfast then this is for you.
If your a couple looking for a spa hotel with all that should offer, then this is not for you.

Our family of 4 had a great stay at this hotel. Kids love swimming and the pools were great. Twice a week they organised water aerobics which was great and very popular. Shame the hotel didn't run it every day. Overall great holiday!

Luxury hotel experience

Wonderful modern hotel with pool complex in tranquil setting within a ten minutes walk of Bardolino town. Especially of note, the amazing breakfast buffet (make your own waffles, prosecco, smoked salmon, fruit smoothies and vegetable juices, vast number of pastries as well as a broad range of the usual options). Very helpful staff who speak English. The spa and relaxation rooms a great retreat from the hottest part of the day. Rooms cleaned/prepared twice a day and we were also very fortunate to be upgraded to a suite - first time it's ever happened to me and so a great kick start to the holiday - my teenagers very impressed!

The first time was three years again and because it was so good we booked it agai
But was disappointed . The room we were allocated was on the road side although it wasn't any noise when door closed it wasn't a very nice view to look out at in the morning with cats and motorbikes zooming past
The room had a circular bed to look at was impressive but for a 53 year old wit a bad back was quite difficulty to get out off
The wash area needs a door to separate it from the bedroom
Last time the breakfast was amazing. With fresh omele made to your choice this time it took ages to get as there was big ques to wait for it and got fed up
The swimming pool was great to cool done in after a hot day
Disappointed this time round

I have stayed here 6 times and always enjoy. 1 thing however when you have a late flight it is NEVER possible to extend your room - surely all rooms are not cleaned at the same time...just a little flexibility needed! Also if you want to hang around the hotel pool after check out they try to charge £14 per person. Although not a lot it does leave a slight bitter taste. Please change this....otherwise great!

Modern, sleek hotel with Italian warmth.

Great place to stay. We rarely go back to the same place twice but we did return to Bardolino and the Aqualux after 4years. Just as lovely. Fantastic facilities and charming staff. Martha was so helpful on reception and Linda at the bar put up with our attempts at Italian and was so friendly. Breakfast is immense (lots of choice and quality is good). The wonder women who cleaned our room and the gentleman at the spa (sorry I didn't find out your names) did their jobs with efficiency and a smile.
Bardolino is a gem of a location for a short break ( we were there for 5 days) with Verona close by and Venice not too far. Highly recommend this hotel.

We booked a short stay here for our 10th wedding anniversary. Can not fault the hotel, staff were very welcoming and check in was better than I expected. Booked a room with garden views and was not disappointed, could've spent hours just sitting on the balcony looking out over the superb hotel grounds. Buffet breakfast was tremendous but could image that it gets very busy during high season. Used the Hotel spa facilities and it was great, very professional and relaxing.

Location of hotel was great too, just 5 minutes walk into Bardolino and a further 5 to the lake side. All in all there is not many places n the world I would go back to but this is one without a doubt!

Would definitely recommend. 5-10 minute walk from centre of Bardolino, only slightly uphill on the way back, not a concern really. Breakfast is fantastic, loads of choice, even Prosecco?! Rooms are spacious and beds so comfortable. Spa is incredible. Outdoor pool warm and inner garden area very beautiful. We had a basic room looking over fountain at the front and you don't need to spend more. We have travelled worldwide and yet we thought this was one of the best hotels we've stayed in.

Can't fault this hotel and had a great 4 night stay in September 2015. We had a comfort room which didn't overlook the pool but unlike other reviews actually quite liked being able to see across vineyards towards the mountains rather than looking at the pool area. Rooms are well sound-proofed with blackout curtains so no problems with noise. We loved the pools and found that it always felt quiet even though the hotel was full during our stay. A relaxing break for my 40th birthday!

Fantastic hotel in a great location near to the lake and the centre of Bareolino. Hotel staff couldn't do enough for you and the breakfasts were great...the best we have eaten abroad. Lake Garda is absolutely beautiful with some many places to explore. We will be back and will definitely stay at the Aqualux when we return.

Nice one

Exceptional! Very pleased with the last minute punt on this hotel. Walkable distance to Bardalino centre. Pools and sun loungers didn't appear crowded even when the hotel occupancy was over 90 percent. A basic wifi service could be made available for free in the rooms - apart from a 30 min free offer it is only free in the reception / lounge area. Normally would go to a new place everytime but this one is tempting me back.

Good Hotel

Facilities very good including pools and sauna's etc.
Treatments expensive.
Although at the height of the season there was not the usual rush for loungers and everyone was very civilised.
Real mix of nationalities thank goodness!!
We were in a comfort room which was very large.
I am not necessarily an eco person but the hotel was certainly designed well with this in mind.

Great location, great facilities!

My husband and I stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The location was excellent, only 5 mins from the town. The various pools were great and plenty of sun loungers available each day. Rooms were comfortable and clean, with excellent air conditioning. The selection at breakfast time was amazing, and we could have something different each day. Would highly recommend this hotel to both couples and families.

Second visit to the hotel, customer service isn't as good as first time and the hotel had only been open a few months. Pool & garden area lovely and well kept.

Comfortable hotel with excellent facilities

We had a lovely week at the Aqualux, Bardolino and the hotel provided everything we wanted. Very comfortable, spacious rooms with air con. The breakfast buffet had a very good selection with fresh orange juice and smoothies. The hotel has a number of outdoor and indoor pools with plenty of sun loungers - no fight for sun loungers in the morning! The location is also excellent as its only a short stroll away from the shops and restaurants of Bardolino. Overall would highly recommend this hotel.
We flew into Verona and it was very easy (and cheap) to get the local bus directly from the airport to the end of the road of the hotel so no need to organise an expensive airport transfer.

Excellent hotel with great spa.

Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms. The shower, however, is missing a curtain so the entire bathroom gets wet whenever you take a shower. Great restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. Fantastic spa.

Excellent hotel in superb location for Bardolino

Second stay at the hotel and was better then first stay in 2012. Back then hotel was brand new and whilst very good had some teething issues as all new hotels do. This has now matured into a fantastic place to explore the delights of Lake Garda and Bardolino. Rooms are modern and clean, pool facilities are superb and the restaurants, whilst pricey as all hotel restaurants are, serve good quality enjoyable food. The fact that you can walk into the centre of Bardolino in 5 minutes however means that if you eat in the restaurant you are missing out on the vast array of quality restaurants that the town has to offer.

Great location and hotel

Just returned from a short break at the Aqualux and cannot fault this hotel. Excellent staff that are always happy to help. Very clean and a great place to relax. 5 minute walk to the town centre and lake. Pool area is very clean and the room was first class. Highly recommend whether your a couple looking for a relaxing break or a family.

WE LOVED THIS HOTEL

only 5 minutes walk down to town and Lake Garda. We found this hotel by choosing off Internet and thought it was great. All the staff were very helpful and polite. Our room was kept exceptionally clean and there was a good choice at breakfast and everything was kept topped up and fresh. We ate in the Drops restaurant a couple of times and the staff couldn't do enough for us to ensure we enjoyed ourselves and would cook food that wasn't on the menu if we so wished. The spa and wellness centre was good. We had a couple of treatments which were excellent. Some of the spa is undergoing some repair work but didn't cause us a problem. We will certainly visit again
