I went out of my way and had five couples come with us to this hotel, and the staff was extremely rude. The beds are horrible and the TV is the size of a tablet. Valentina needs a new job if she’s going to swear at us Americans the way she did.

Multi site holiday first stop

Check out was 10am, I requested 10:30 and was told no. I accepted this, but was annoyed that twice before 10am housekeeping came to the room, first time they didn’t even knock. We arrived late due to delayed flight & was told by reception the bar was closed so if we wanted anything would need to walk into town. However, on arriving to our room we heard music and went to explore where it was coming from only to find the bar was open. There were no staff to direct you at breakfast, so just followed other guests. Check out receptionist was unfriendly certainly didn’t ask us anything about our stay just thrust our passports and the bill at us. Positives; the bar staff were lovely and the hotel in great location.

Great location, helpful staff, some dated decor.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. The location is great, staff generally very helpful (extra gold star for Antonio working in the pool bar/restaurant who was unfailingly cheerful, helpful and efficient) and the facilities spacious and good. The condition of many parts of the hotel is a little tired and dated but thankfully for us everything worked ok. We enjoyed the good sized indoor pool during inclement weather. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, fresh bread and cooked breakfast available every morning.

I was a little concerned as the hotel only rated 7.5 out of 10 but the location sold it to me.
Could not fault our stay at all. Fabulous pool with more than enough loungers for all, great location, free sunbathing area by the lake, spacious clean rooms, friendly staff, free coffee during the day, the list is endless, we even received a free bottle of frizante wine at check in for doing the online check in.
I would stay in the gritti again if returning to Bardolino….which is an extremely charming resort ❤️

We had a great week here - staff very helpful in reception and bars . Upgraded to prestige rooms but did have to remind reception that we were entitled replenish soft drinks . We had b and b but one night paid the 20 euros to have evening meal - buffet excellent choice but when booking think better reception advise of the men’s dress code ( no shorts). I state the two negatives but with 98 other things right I can only say we would stay here again and recommend

We travelled at the same time as friends (for a wedding). We paid extra for an upgraded room, yet our friends (who paid basic rate) were given a suite three times the size of our room, with a lake view (which we had requested and did not get). The hotel was also busy with large tour groups which meant we were ushered off tables in the pool bar and at breakfast to allow big groups to sit together, which made us feel like we were an inconvenience. Check out was early (despite check in not being until late in the afternoon) so it felt rushed. Location was good and the check in staff were friendly.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The whole area as well as the hotel is kept in excellent condition, so clean. It was the first week of the summer holidays in England and the hotel was not overcrowded, always sun beds available around the pool and strictly no reserving them- bliss! Breakfast was delicious, great selection and food available at lunchtime was lovely too (we were bed and breakfast). Lots of great restaurants in the town and beautiful views. We will be back!

We booked half board and the food was very disappointing. It would have been nice to have had more choice for the hot and cold food. The salads were bland and you could of had so much more variety. It was a shame as the location is great. If I decided to stay again I would not book half-board. I found the staff unfriendly.

Nice grounds, very pretty, right next to the lake and excellent location walking distance to the centre and multiple restaurants. Very good for the price we paid.
Negatives are no aircon in the rooms (told it wasnt switched on yet as still out of season although rooms were very hot) and unheated pool which was very cold.
All in all a good trip and good value, would go back.

the stair room from garage could be improved.

everything was great and perfect. Friendly check-in services with welcome wines, perfect location near the center of Bardolino, clean swimming pool and friendly staffs, just a few steps walking to Gardasee for a super beaufiful sunset view. However, the parking was a bit confusing. the passenger exit out of garages 1 and 2 was not able to find out after you parked. we need to walk a long distance from garage to hotel. the stair rooms of the garage 1 and 2 was very dirty. it was a bit surprised for us since it is a 4 stars hotel. however, all other things were all good.

Lovely location with very courteous and helpful staff. However, the hotel seemed to encourage smokers as a number of the public areas outside the main buildings allowed smoking including lobbies which meant smoke travelled up into the hotel via staircases. Although all the rooms were non smoking it was was allowed on the room balconies which meant we were unable to use our balcony much of the time due to guests in the next room smoking on theirs This may of course be normal for Italian hotels!
We were disappointed that the food in the hotel was very basic Italian or general food rather than the variety of Italian food we had hoped for.
It was disappointing that the pool was not heated after 1st September which would seem the time when heating it was necessary.

a constant smell of cigarette smoke in the corridors as the fire doors were wedged open and the smell travelled up from areas used for smokers.

Great location near the beach and Cliff Walk. Other attractions are between 15 to 30 minutes walk. Town and Tide offers parking which is convenient in Newport. Breakfast was delicious. My room was clean and bathroom stylish and lovely. They provided you with beach chairs and towels. Staff are helpful with instructions and attentive.

The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes from the centre of Bardolino.
The room we were in had been refurbished nicely, and the bathroom was modern with a good walk in shower. We were there during a heatwave, and the air conditioning in the bedroom was excellent. The pool area is also spacious and there was never any problem getting a sun lounger.
Downsides were that the dining room is very much like a canteen, with that kind of atmosphere, not a place to linger. We were bed and breakfast only, but we noticed that the evening dinner service is very early, with dinner being served between 6.30 and 8.30, and at 8.30 the restaurant closes, not merely stops serving. By way of contrast, the restaurants in bardolino were empty at 6.30 and in full swing at 8.30.
There is also nowhere secure to store your left luggage, you just have to leave it in an unmanned , unlocked boiler room, which I was not happy with. There does not appear to be any porter service, you are not offered any assistance with luggage either on arrival or departure, which is unusual in a four star hotel.

First stay - and it won’t be our last!

We were all (two couples) pleasantly surprised with our first stay at the Parc Hotel Gritti. Firstly, after a lovely, friendly welcome from the reception staff, we were given two Privilege Rooms, which had a super large terrace with furniture - a great start! The rooms were huge, the beds very comfortable, the large shower was excellent, the kettle and tea-tray was most welcome as was the daily litre bottle of still water that was left in each room.
Having read some previous negative reviews, we didn’t know what to expect at breakfast but honestly, we had no problems whatsoever. It was a bit busy at times but we always got a table straight away and we were happy with the choice of food on offer - something for everyone. The breakfast room was kept clean and tidy by a team of smart, efficient staff.
The staff throughout the hotel, in fact, were smart, efficient and friendly.
A bonus was the provision of afternoon tea each day from 4-5pm - nothing elaborate - just tea, coffee, biscuits and cake or panettone but welcome, all the same.
We didn’t actually use the pool area as we had quite poor weather during our stay but everywhere seemed to be well maintained when we walked through - and the gardens and other communal areas were kept tidy.
This was our tenth holiday in Bardolino but our first stay at the Gritti - and we all agreed that we would be happy to stay there again!

Spacious and clean. Friendly staff. The spa was excellent. The outside area and pool were very clean. 2 restaurants to choose from for the buffet breakfast which gave you plenty of choice. The room was lovely bright and clean. Bottled water, sparkling wine, coffee and milk provided free everyday. Towels changed daily. I would definitely recommend. We will be back.

Nice hotel. Excellent price for the quality. It was a warm october night and the hotel hadn’t the air condition available. Negative point, but the rest was very good. Excellent breakfast.
Another point that surprised me was the fact that the employee who checked me in made me sign a credit card receipt with the value of the room rate even when I said that I had already paid everything by Expedia.
I expect that I won’t be charged twice.

Nearly perfect!

Perfect location to the lake and to Bardolino town centre. About a 5 minute walk. Also 5 minute walk from the local bus stop which can take you round the lake easy and cheap enough. The hotel itself was lovely. Good breakfast choice and the pool area was great! Rooms nice and modern, a little nosy hearing upstairs walking in their room, although it didn't keep me awake. The service on check In was good although I was given the wrong room and had to go back to reception to switch rooms which I didn't mind and the receptionists were very apologetic. The only thing I would ask that needs improvement is the lady on check out was rather rude to me when I wanted to pay my room tax by card? Didnt see much of a problem but she wasn't pleasant and also the pool bar staff need to smile abit more!! Other than that a lovely stay.

Best location in Bardolino

The best part of this hotel is the complimentary access to the lido just across the road. Lakeside sunbathing, cool bar and great restaurant and cafe. The ducks join you too! Also it is a very easy 5 mins max stroll to town.
Rooms are simple but with everything you need. Fantastic maid!
Downside is some facilities don’t quite live up to expectations and photos. Spa and piano bar a bit abandoned or closed-in August?! Main buffet is a cattle market-food fine but a bit limited. Ate there once as town is easy walk and so much more to offer. Avoid main restaurant for breakfast and go to smaller option- same food just feels less like being herded.
Nothing wrong with hotel- just not quite there and understand why it’s 4 star.
I’m 50 and was one of the youngest so everyone is polite and nice. Full of Germans which I take as a good thing as they expect a good standard.
An excellent base but we literally only used it for b&b.

A Relaxing Stay.

Enjoyed our stay here. Hotels location is a couple of minutes walk into Bardolino, either by the lake or the road. Big pool area with lots of chairs. A nice bar area by the pool to have a drink or something to eat. The rooms are a big size with a generous balcony and a big shower. You can rent bicycles cheaply and cycle to the neighboring towns. Breakfast was great,big selection and is available till 11am. Staff friendly and helpful. Free WIFI too.

Nice hotel, very busy, room was comfortable with a nice bathroom.
Pool area good with plenty of decent sunbeds. Breakfast was fairly good with a wide choice, but English type cooked items often spoiled from sitting in heated pans too long. Fresh cooked eggs were a bonus.
Queues for hot drinks machine and usual slow toasters meant rest of meal often spoilt, but that's the same in most large hotels.
Parking in underground car park very good and free.
Overall a good choice but expensive as we booked in January but paid in September after the pounds drop against the euro.

The only hang-up was that the hotel advertise free pets in the hotel and we were charged for our pet and this hotel does not allow pets in the dining and social areas. Would we stay at this hotel again \"YES\" we would.

Having stayed in Bardolino several times we always liked the look of this hotel due to its fantastic central location.
On arrival we were given a pleasant welcome and given details of our room, overall our room was ok, not the best room I have stayed in but reasonably clean and had the usual facilities you expect from a hotel.
This is a very large hotel so if you like the personal touch perhaps another property would be more suitable,
Overall a good hotel in one of the best locations in Bardolino however other smaller hotels nearby are equally as good at a lower cost.

The rooms are small and very dated. they smell awfull and the bathrooms are hideous. I booked 4 double rooms and got 4 twin rooms. The location of the hotel is fantastic but i would never consider this hotel a 4 star.The pics on the internet give a very wrong impression of this hotel

Good facilities in need of an update

Parc Hotel Gritting is in an ideal location in Bardolino, extremely close to the centre, about 5 minutes walk. The rooms are big and clean but in need of refurbishment. The hotel facilities are excellent but could also do with refurbishing. The waiting staff were great, reception staff lacking in warmth/personality and there are more rules and regulations than I've ever seen in any hotel making it seem very old fashioned. 10am checkout anyone?!!!

Perfect location

We had a lovely stay at the Gritti. Our room, standard double with balcony, was fine even although it has still to be refurbished. Having a litre bottle of water delivered to your room every day was a great service.The location of the hotel was perfect. Towels for the pool and lido are provided. Hotel has arrangement with the lido allowing you to have sunbeds free of charge and it's lovely lying at the lake.

Parc Hotel Gritti is ideally located for visiting Bardolino and Lake Garda. The hotel and Bardolino are ideal for disabled as the hotel is fully accessable and is situated at the end of a pedestrianised promenade which again us completely accessible. This was our 4th trip to PARC hotel gritti and although there us new management in place and there have been some changes it is still a great place to stay. Disappointed that 1 restaurant closed half way through our stay due to low occupancy yet when we asked for a late checkout room none were available???

We didn't feel this was a 4 star hotel. We stayed 6 nights B & B and the hotel seemed tired which might have been due to the fact it was the end of the season. The pool was long and deep which was ideal for swimming lengths but not suitable for children as the shallow end was chest high. Most of the guests while we were staying seemed to be retirement age and it didn't seem to be suitable for young couples. We are not young - late forties but we did feel extremely young compared with the other guests. The entertainment was outside each evening and was more suitable to the older generation. We didn't eat at the hotel except at breakfast which was standard. I would recommend anyone staying to opt to eat in Bardolino as the restaurants were very good. The hair dryer in the room was the worst I have ever come across. The hose was attached to the wall and you had to keep it at a certain angle for it to remain on. It wasn't very powerful and the place where you held it got too hot. Lake Garda is beautiful but I didn't think this hotel was as good as it should have been

Good facilities, nice pool!

Could be very good if they resolved issues. Staff were attentive but our trip was spoilt by dreadful Internet service. It didn't work in the room and when it did had the speed of a 1990's dialup modem. They have wifi repeaters installed around the property but these don't work so trying to sustain business contacts was a failure. Completely unacceptable for a 4 star hotel.

On our visit the hotel was very busy, the restaurants full but well managed by sufficient staff.

The afternoon tea at 4pm was a nice touch.

Excellent location right on the lake

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Gritti. Stayed on a B&B basis, excellent choice for breakfast & also for evening meal at a very good rate of €17 per person. Beautiful gardens & pool, also lovely area by lake with the use of free sun loungers. Staff very friendly.

Great hotel for older couples

The room was brand new and the staff were very helpful and polite. The location was also brilliant.

The hotel generally was huge and a little dated. The hotel is ideal for older couples looking to relax.

Great hotel, wonderful staff, fantastic location

We had a fantastic time at Parc Hotel Gritti no doubt helped by the great weather and the wonderful town of Bardolino being a short stroll away. All the staff were very helpful and courteous and, even though they had no doubt worked hard for many months during the summer, were always smiling and greeting us cheerfully. The extra touches at the hotel were much appreciated too; afternoon tea, well maintenance grounds and the evening music.

lovely holidyay BUT

the attitude of the staff (bar and dining and the maid service) was superb.
the position to the lake was really good. the main areas were very good and very comfy
complaints 1. air conditioning we only had 2 full days when it worked and it was the receptionist who found the fault. 2. we complained that one of the lights on the balcony needed a new bulb ---we never did get one so presumably the next guests will carry on the complaint. 3. the wardrobe rail went from back to front of the wardrobe because a normal sized hanger was too big to fit on a rail from left to right.
we did not feel that we got 4* treatment

Spectacularly Average

We stayed at this hotel some years ago and were reasonably content. This visit we elected to have a refurbished room. the room had clearly been refurbished and was certainly comfortable. It was only towards the end of our stay that we noticed a LARGE cobweb which had clearly been there for sometime. Breakfasts were the usual continental style with plenty of choice. We chose to eat in the restaurant on one occasion and found the food plentiful but fairly average. The remainder of the rooms and the internal corridors could certainly do with some cheering up.
Pros; The pool area and the public areas were well maintained and clean. Free car parking, helpful friendly staff, evening entertainment.
Cons; Internal corridors need cheering up, No wireless internet access. Summary; could do better.

Hotellissa on iso allasalue sekä erillinen beah club jossa on kiva järvinäkymä sekä aurinkotuolit hotellin asukkaille. Rannalla on myös osio johon voi ottaa oman lemmikin mukaan mikäli sellainen on matkalla mukana :).

Perfekt plassering i forhold til badestrand , båt og restauranter! Likte dårlig å få renholdspersonalet som låste seg inn på rommet hver morgen kl 9:00 for å rydde! Likte dårlig bråk fra gangen om natten når folk fra naborom kom hjem fra fest! Veldig bra renhold og rydding og hyggelig personal !

Gute Lage in Bardolino

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel in Top-Lage in Bardolino direkt am Wasser. Sehr nettes Personal, schöner großer Außenpool. Wände der Zimmer etwas dünn. Großes Frühstücksbuffet und gutes Poolrestaurant mit Bar. Kommen nächstes Jahr wieder.

Avevo cercato un Hotel che avesse un parcheggio interno ed alla fine mi è stato dato l’accesso incluso nel prezzo; la particolarità che va segnalata è che il parcheggio non era indicato nel wizard del sito web e nei documenti della prenotazione. Ho dunque telefonato al servizio Clienti della struttura e mi è stato risposto che il parcheggio sarebbe stato garantito solo prenotando direttamente presso la struttura e non attraverso le piattaforme on-Line. Ho completato ugualmente la prenotazione dell’Hotel con Expedia ed ho successivamente mandato un messaggio con l’app Expedia alla struttura chiedendo in forma scritta se fosse possibile riservarmi un parcheggio : a tale richiesta non ho mai avuto alcun riscontro.
Devo anche menzionare la scarsa gentilezza al momento del check-in; mi sono presentato anzitempo rispetto all’orario previsto, alle 13,30 rispetto all’orario previsto; la camera non era pronta, sono stato trattato con freddezza alla reception ed al termine del completamento della procedura ho dovuto chiedere in maniera esplicita l’orario di accesso alla camera, visto che non mi era stato comunicato.
La camera che mi è stata assegnata era particolarmente piccola, una di due sole camere senza balcone, ad angolo, su un totale di approssimativamente 50 ed oltre con affaccio sullo spazio verde intorno alla struttura; la camera era visibilmente più corta rispetto alle altre, arretrata verso l’interno, senza balcone, incuneata nell’angolo.
