The hotel failed to tell us that they have major building works going on in the grounds of the property plot. We had a crane, drilling & cutting noise within approximately 50 metres of our bedroom. The noise was restricted until 8.00 am and generally finished at around 16.00 hours. We had a nice in stay in Garda but feel it is inappropriate to schedule this building work in the height of the season and in such close proximity to certain guest rooms and the swimming pool. Guests should be notified of this work prior to arrival and those affected by the work offered a discount. The property is well kept, the staff are very helpful and the town of Garda is beautiful.

We didn't try out the new spa area, but the outside pool area and grounds are lovely. Breakfast selection was superb.
It is within easy walking distance to the lake, shops, restaurants and the port to catch the boats around the lake.

Have stayed at this hotel many times in recent years and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing comfortable hotel with beautiful pool area and spacious clean rooms. Staff very friendly and accommodating. All restaurants bars and shops on your doorstep and a five minute walk to boat terminal and bus station. Ideal.

I have been here for a week during an August break and enjoyed every second of my stay. I was with my mum, a very demanding guest, and the staff made really everything during our stay. We got a standard (superior, as they call it) room (404) that came with an outside terrace, large, equipped with chairs and comfortable. We enjoyed the two pools, one outside, one inside, part of a big and equipped SPA. Loved the pool bar, the evening bar and the restaurant (we didn't try the gourmet one). The hotel features a bike storage, has their own bikes for the guests and a small gym with the latest equipment including online spinning classes. It's located in the best part of the small village of Garda, the quietest with several nin touristy dining options nearly. Breakfast was plentiful and well executed and the pastry shop nearby a great afternoon stop.

At c.300€ per night you can't call it cheap but probably one of the best price/quality ratio I have ever been. Well done!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful 5 nights here with our two young children. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed! The pool are is stunning, the pool is warm and has a small shallow area for children, a large area to swim plus a jacuzzi area. Great pool bar! The spa area underground is absolutely amazing too. It has a pool, cold plunge, warm plunge, relaxation areas plus sauna steam etc all included in your stay. The location of the hotel is wonderful! 2 mins walk from a lot of bars and restaurants. Free bike hire (with kids seats) we used many times to cycle a short distance along the lake to Bardolino. We also did a bus trip up the lake ten mins to Torri del Benaco which was really pretty. Highly recommend this hotel! :)

The only negative point I would make is that to begin with we was put in a disabled room, which was less than satisfactory. Having aired our disappointment we were transferred to a better room on the second night, however still not up to the standard that was advertised.

Good location on the Garda lake, nice house and decent size room. Great breakfast buffet and service. We couldn’t enjoy our night due to a heavy mosquito attacks. It would have been nice to have moskito repellent in the room. Reception told us the next day that they do spray the room when this happen. Well, too late for us. Bathroom is very slippery once someone had the shower as it stays wet in the entire room. There is no eco proposal on towels. Our room had a « terrace « but it’s along the stairs and corridors, so much for privacy:)

Charming and central hotel

When we booked this hotel we were very apprehensive as it’s not the usual property we stay in, we prefer modern or boutique style, but I couldn’t be more pleased that we made the choice to stay here. The pool area is brilliant and spotlessly clean we particularly loved the comfy shaded outdoor sofas. The room had a great layout, we stayed in a suite with bed and separate sofa bed which was perfect for our family. I’m not actually sure how many times the room was cleaned but every time we returned to find new towels and bins emptied or beds turndown. The staff were excellent. The hotel gourmet restaurant was a highlight from our trip the food was exceptional. We also used the bikes provided by the hotel and cycled to Lazise and back along the beachfront promenade. We will definitely return to this hotel.

I loved this hotel, the staff were excellent, the room was great and spacious, with a balcony in the toilet!!! (Gives Romeo an Juliet a new twist).
The breakfast was the best I had in Italy during my last stay by far and as I stayed at another seven hotels in that time of the same quality it shows how well this hotel prides itself on not just service, but the quality of food.
Many hotels have great breakfasts with the same provisions as standard for four or even five star, but Hotel Adelaide just put better quality into the hot breakfast it provided. The same but better.
It made me a lazy man on holiday, who never ever eats breakfast, eat two great breakfasts at 7 a.m.

The picture you see is actually the rear of the hotel, just across the quiet road from which is the lakefront so if you get a room that side, very nice :-)
However don't worry if you get a room to the front, mine was and it was still a very nice room (312) and I had a lovely stay. Apart from the occasional ambulance the noise from the not-too-close road wasn't at all bad and the curtains will block out any light if you have to sleep in a cave to get to sleep :-)
The hotel has two buildings, one the old, original building which has a lovely 'grand old lady' feel to it and a more recent build to the side with more rooms. I was in the old building and was more than happy.
The location is fantastic and I went over to sit at the lakeside every morning before starting off anywhere and you can take a 5 minute stroll round the lake path into the main centre or use the road and be there in 2 - whichever you choose, another 3 minutes and you are at the ferry jetty - perfect!
The bus to Verona stops 2 minutes away over the road - you can't go wrong - and at less than 5 euros from Verona train station amazing value (get the airport bus to the train station, it's all really simple and easy to find).
I'd definitely stay here again - it really is a lovely hotel, go on, treat yourself :-)

At a loss to why this hotel has premium price. Found similar quality in hotels charging half this price. Good hotel but over priced. No english tv channels whoch is a shame since many uk guests and easily available at other cheaper hotels in italy. Lovelly pool. Cheap bike rentals. Evening set menu for 32 euros nice but portions a bit small.

Stayed here for a week and the hotel is amazing. The staff are really helpful and friendly. We had B&B and the breakfasts were great, so much choice! It's great that the hotel is so central which is why we picked it.

What I would say however is that the average age of guests was plus 50 so for a young couple there wasn't anyone else our age we could chat to.

Overall the hotel isn't bad but considering the price per night it wasn't that great either. My thoughts on pros and cons:

Pros:
Location - ideal location for Garda town and restaurants. 10 minute location from ferries which makes it easier to get around

Clean - The hotel was clean throughout and the gardens were well kept

Decent room - rooms were fine with comfortable bed and amenities like mini bar, safe, tv etc

Nice pool - The pool was good for the summer and had a nice pool bar

Cons
Overpriced - We travelled in peak season so perhaps it should not be surprising that it was on the pricey side but I would have expected more for what we paid

Tired decor - Could do with painting throughout the bedroom was a bit tired and Spa needed a revamp

Average breakfast and dinner - We didn't pay for the half board option but ate at the restaurant for one night. There are plenty of excellent restaurants in town and we enjoyed the variety of different places - that were generally cheaper and better than the set menus.

Wifi - annoying you had to login every time and you could only have one person per room logged in

Overall I would be tempted to stay elsewhere unless you are planning on spending the day by the pool. You can probably get better value at different hotels. We liked Garda but would recommend taking a look at Sirmione as there is probably more to do.

lovely hotel close to the edge of Lake Garda

This was my 3rd time at this hotel and I would certainly book a 4th visit. I just love the atmosphere, the peacefulness, the delicious breakfast I enjoy on the terrace. I cannot comment on the restaurant in the evening because I only ever stay bed and breakfast but the dining facilities are wonderful. I will definitely return.

Booked after much internet research and we were not disappointed. By far the best hotel with the best position in Garda Town, in our opinion.
Our room was exactly what we asked for, very spacious with a full length balcony, overlooking the lake (as far as is possible in Garda because of the mature trees planted in places).
So many people that we talked to were returning to the hotel every year!
Would have wished to eat in the hotel more often, but despite 3 or more choices for each course there were too many times when which just didn't like what was on offer. We ate there 2 times on the \"Day Menu\" and had excellent food.

Ideal Venue

Hotel ideally located near to the centre of Garda but within a quieter area. It has a nice garden with plenty of seating areas and is very well maintained. Antique artifacts give the hotel an original atmoshere with well appointed communal areas.
The staff are very courteous and only too willing to assist in any way they can to make your stay so enjoyable. The bedroom was well appointed with lovely high ceilings and spacious with a small sofa chairs and table. A nice touch was water and sweets in the room. Very efficient air conditioning proved ideal with temperatures outside of over 30 degrees.

This is a very good hotel in a lovely location. It is close to the lake and all the bars and shops. It has beautiful gardens which are well maintained. Lake Garda is a lovely place, close to the airport and with plenty of choices of boat rides and tours to other locations.

Just what we were looking for.

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the hotel. We had an excellent junior suite overlooking the front which was spacious clean and comfortable. The meals were to our taste with adequate variety and the morning buffet was readily renewal when required. The staff were all helpful and took time to assist us whenever we asked. Their English was excellent (as were their other language skills from what we could gather)

We had a superior room , which turned out to be a basic double room. Even though the hotel itself is full of lovely antiques and is beautifully furnished, our bedroom was full of old very basic furniture and was very small. Would recommend bed and breakfast as the restaurant food is very limited and tiny portions

Beautiful old Italian-style hotel overlooking Lake

I have now stayed at this hotel twice and would go back every year. The décor, lounges, swimming pool outdoor and indoor perfect. Breakfast is excellent in perfect surroundings. Rooms are so comfortable and well decorated.
All the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended in every way.

The hotel is well located in sight of the lake itself but separated by a quite cul-de-sac road, public gardens and the promenade. Our room was a bit small and had only a shower (no bath) but assume the room layout dictated by the original building design. We had a small balcony from which you could see the lake (lakeside view is probably stretching the description) with only one chair, although just enough space to move a room chair onto the balcony. The hotel staff were all excellent and could not be faulted. We tried the gourmet restaurant which was very good although used by very few diners and had an interesting experimental menu. The other restaurant in the hotel was always busy presumably with guests on an half board tariff. A nice bar which also had outside seating and stayed open until midnight with attentive bar staff. The open air pool with a bar serving drinks and lunch menu was also very good and well maintained. Very good buffet breakfast with plenty choice.

pretty town ,need a car in low season but a boat in high season ! Look to go inland a few km to get best restaurants. If you do the cable car at Maclesine book for sue and go as early as possible. on the right day ,stunning views but crowded does`nt come close at the wrong time. A day in Verona is a must and definitely book an Opera.

Classic hotel near lake

This hotel has a traditional feel which is quite different to some of the 'holiday' hotels in Garda. It is a calm oasis to which you can retreat when the hustle and bustle of the town and the heat is too much. The room is lovely and the bathroom large and well fitted out. I didn't use the indoor pool but it looked lovely. The gym is not so great, especially as the room wasn't air conditioned. But who goes to Garda to use the gym? You can hire bikes across the road which is much more fun.

This stylish and comfortable hotel is situated close to the lakeshore with many cafes and restaurants nearby. It is a very short walk to the bus station and to the main shopping streets and an easy stroll to the lake ferry pier. A great location for a relaxing break. Highly recommended.

Great Pool and Location

The hotel is right in the heart of Garda but still manages to be secluded and quiet. The shops and Garda's old street are right on the door step and all the restaurants on the lake front are just a 2 minute walk away. The hotel is perfect for a relaxed and comfortable stay, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families or groups of friends who are looking for entertainment and pool activities, this hotel is more about piece and relaxation and they achieve that to quite a high standard.

Really well located hotel , gardens and pool area immaculate , hotel spotless and staff very pleasant .the food is excellent ,we ate once in the Gourmet restaurant which was superb -if a little bit pretentious - and once in the main restaurant which was excellent with a wide range of choice on the set menu and an amazing dessert buffet featuring pastries from the hotels own patisserie.
The rooms are very comfortable with really effective a/c -a boon with the high temps we enjoyed during our stay. The main lakeside area of Garda and the promenade to Bardolino and Lazise is less than a 5 min stroll from the hotel through a park area or through the small shopping streets . The Bus station is across the road and a couple of minutes stroll at the rear of the hotel , and the Ferries leave from the dock which is but a 10 min stroll along the front . It is worth trying a coffee and pastry /dessert at the hotel patisserie , their Tiramisu is one of the best we have had .

A wonderful place to spend our honeymoon!

We have just returned from the Hotel Regina Adelaide and we had a marvellous stay! Everything was wonderful! The rooms, the décor, the pool, the food but most importantly the staff! We cannot stress enough how wonderful each staff member was - always ready to go out of their way to help you! The food was delicious, we particularly enjoyed the creations the patisserie made at their shop - the smells in the morning were to die for! Thank you for making our honeymoon so special! :D

The hotel is pretty much everything you could expect, it is clean, well kept and offers good facilities. All the staff were polite and helpful, the outdoor pool is a decent size in nice grounds. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant at lunch or tea time as there is so many to choose from in town within a few minutes walk however they had plenty of custom each night, breakfast was good with plenty of choice although it would be nice if the choice changed from day to day. Our room was on the first floor but was very quiet and was quite large and comfortable. One tip if you don't have transfers to the hotel included don't worry, the 164 bus goes direct from the airport to within a minutes walk from the hotel and goes every hour (at present) and costs about €6.

Perfect location with perfect view

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel which I had looked at last year when I was in Garda. The location was excellent and I had the most perfect room overlooking the lake. The room and bathroom I could not fault with plenty of treats like sweets and water. I stayed bed and breakfast and the dining facilities I thought were exceptional with an excellent breakfast choice. The hotel wasn't too big and had an air of peacefulness about it which I liked. There was also a small patisserie at the back of the hotel which was really very good. Will definitely stay here again without doubt!

Great hotel in a superb location.

Excellent stay at the hotel, staff did everything to ensure trip was enjoyable and organised a room upgrade at our request.

In addition they ensured we were given all the necessary information for the day trips we went on and had timetables for the local buses and boats.

Nothing was a problem.

We stayed six nights and the only things I would improve would be to have a faster Wifi option and more cooked options for breakfast.

Wonderful Italian hotel overlooking Lake Garda.

As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were at ease. The staff spoke very good English and were so helpful. The hotel had a wonderful Italian character and was immaculate throughout. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was a particular highlight of our stay as was the very large swimming pool with lots of sun loungers. We will certainly go back again.

Unique hotel

This hotel is quite simply superb.
Its a bit like a very high standard British country house hotel but with Italian style. There is all sorts of beautiful antique furniture and old things of interest around the place. The location is ideal being alongside Lake Garda and less than 5 minute stroll to the town centre also bus station only 2 minutes away.

Not cheap but often in life you only get what you pay for !

This hotel has a lot to offer. The facilities are excellent and there is everything you need. We used most of the facilities, the restaurant, the bar, outdoor cafe and bar,free WI-Fi and swimming pool both indoor and out. The room was immaculately clean and had everything you needed. Very attractively maintained both inside and out.The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They were very professional and most spoke fluent English. They were very good at giving advice on local attractions and how to get to them. There was a very good choice of food for breakfast, all fresh and buffet style which you could enjoy at your leisure. We did bed and breakfast and ate out, there was a good range of restaurants nearby with local shopping facilities and a good bus service. On the last evening we went into the hotel restaurant and sat down for the evening meal which was served. we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, it was excellent and the chef cooked everything to perfection, you wouldn't be able to find a better meal in the local area for such good value for money.

Perfect for a child out holiday. The only points that let the hotel down were, poor gym which possible won't effect too many people. Secondly, we went in April 20 degrees at night and wanted aircon which we got told wouldn't be working until June. Hence didn't sleep too well as too hot.

Family owned hotel with a family feel

Staying in this hotel was a very enjoyable experience. We soon became aware that the staff are very professional and thorough, but also friendly. Our room was kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast environment and food was also to a very high quality. The hotel is very well situated, one minute walk from the lake and from the town centre. If you like a high quality hotel experience, this is the place for you. We would stay there again without a moment's hesitation.

Hotel with pool in Garda,on Lake Garda, Italy.

A very nice hotel with a big pool facing Lake Garda. The rooms were a little small, but comfortable and clean, with nice bathrooms and good air-conditioning. Buffet-style breakfast was very nice with a good selection, and could be taken on the garden terrace. There is a wellness centre too, although we only used the indoor pool once and did not try any treatments.

Beautiful hotel across the road from the lake

This is our second visit to this hotel and we were not disappointed, again the food in both restaurants was amazing and the service was of a high standard. The rooms are spacious (we had a junior suite) and are spotless and we had a partial lake view. I celebrated my birthday whilst we were at the hotel and when we came back to the room after being out for the day there was a bottle of champage and a card from the hotel management as they realised it was my birthday, I thought this was a very nice touch. Hope to go back again next year.

Wonderful stay

This was our first visit to Garda and the Hotel Regina Adelaide. We will definitely be back. The hotel was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The outside pool area was very good with plenty of space for sunbathing and swimming. Breakfast was served adjacent to the garden area and consisted of a variety of hot and cold buffet items with lovely fresh fruit being one of our favourites. We stayed in an attic suite and found it to be extremely comfortable, loads of space and even an outside area for sunbathing or just relaxing. The air conditioning could be better but that is the only suggestion we could make.

Perfect experience - lovely hotel

We booked 2 rooms for myself and husband and my father in June. We had asked that the rooms be located close together and not too far to walk / avoid lots of stairs. The rooms were ideally situated and they had obviously gone to some care to oblige. Rooms were very clean and well equipped. Staff very helpful both beforehand (booking us transport from airport etc) and during our visit - everyone greeted you as you passed. Breakfast was plentiful and great choice. You could either eat it inside or outside. The location of the hotel was better than I had expected - just a very short walk to the lake - the front rooms having lovely views. Also very close to all the restaurants, supermarket (for handy bottles of water etc) and the bus station where you could easily catch buses to Verona and other lakeside towns. Pool had plenty of sun loungers and was never crowded. Indoor pool looked nice although we didnt use it.

Fabulous hotel!

Myself and my partner stayed at Regina Adelaide for his 50th birthday and had probably our best holiday ever! Beautiful hotel, excellent food and wonderful service in one of the most stunning locations we have ever been to; highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic hotel, close to town centre.

Just returned from a week at the Regina Adelaide in Garda and I must say this is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which had partial lake view through the trees, but it was a lovely room with lots of space and contained a safe and mini bar, bathrobes and slippers. The pool area is fantastic with plenty of sunloungers for everybody and the pool is a good size and is cleaned every day. The pool bar serve really nice lunches every day especially the salads, everything was very fresh. We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis, but had dinner in the main restaurant on our last night and I must say we were not disapointed the food was excellent and the service second to none. The hotel is also spotlessly clean and the staff cannot do enough to help you, also the location of the hotel is minutes away from all shops, bars and restaurants, which makes it ideal. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody wishing to visit Garda. We will definitely return one day.
