This is an excellently located hotel right on the lake. The furniture in our room was a bit spartan and tired but the room was a good size and the bathroom was large and updated. The included breakfast was of good quality and variety. Overall a good value for the price.

Great location, apparrtments are spacious, clean, and rennovated and preserved (historical building). In the pedestrian area where it gets quite lively at night the windows are well insulated also which keeps the rooms quiet and comfortable for staying with a nice view over the lake.

Well kept hotel right on Garda waterfront

a lovely hotel kept to a high specification right in the centre of Garda old town/waterfront, staff very friendly and happy to answer any questions on the local area, ferry routes etc. Free breakfast was nice. Lake view room looked right onto the port, we were treated to a lovely sunset the night of our arrival. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Garda next year :)

The hotel is located right on the lake front in the beautiful pedestrian area of the old town of Garda. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast was very good . Plenty of restaurants and bars close to the hotel. Note that the hotel is in a pedestrian only area so that one needs to carry the luggage from the nearest parking area which may be a block or so away.

Very close to lake with lovely views . Our room was spacious and clean with everything we needed - though like most brits aboad we did take our kettle. Only down side is that it is in a pedestrian area and so airport drop of and collection was a short walk away which is fine but there was a thunderstorm in progress while we waited for our transport

Lovely hotel, great location on the waterfront. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate at the hotel the first night and the food was good and reasonably priced.
Only slight negative was balcony was quite small so couldn’t both sit out on it.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The cafe downstairs is a great place to eat in evening.
Parking is provided free but as this hotel is in the nice old town centre the car park is a short walk.
The staff are unbelievably friendly and welcoming.

Our very comfortable and spacious room had panoramic views north, west and south across Lake Garda. Immediately below us was a very lively square, right in the centre of Garda town's lake shore, where we had breakfast every day (except the one morning that it rained for an hour). The staff were very friendly, attentive and obliging. Far exceeded expectations overall.

Nice hotel, excellent location, on the lake-front and close to all facilities such as shops, restaurants, bars, bus station and ferry. However, I was not happy as I felt I wasn't at first given the room I had paid for - 'the deluxe double/twin with balcony and lake view'. Also described as having separate sitting area and being an 'accessible' room for wheelchair. The room we were given was only reached by stairs (2nd floor) and had steps into the bathroom so certainly was not the room we booked. However, once I pointed this out we were offered another room on 1st floor that could be reached by lift if necessary, that was bigger, had one easy chair (that the first room didn't have), a larger balcony with better lake view and a larger, walk-in shower so was an accessible room. However, we still didn't have the separate sitting area as advertised although outside of our room was a lounge area for all guests and maybe this was what was referred to in the original room description. It is misleading though and I think needs to be looked at in the hotel room descriptions. We enjoyed our stay very much though and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable although an additional easy chair would be an improvement. Certainly 5/5 for location and view. I would return to this hotel again providing I felt I was given the room I had paid for.

Lovely hotel and staff.

Lovely hotel (as long as stairs aren't a problem to you). The hotel is on the front next to the lake. The staff are friendly and helpful. Simon is a font of knowledge and Benji is a character who makes you smile. The rooms are cleaned daily and the sheets are changed daily too. The room we had (6) had air-con, two windows and a small balcony. The food was excellent with good service. Would try to book this hotel again if we visit Lake Garda in the future.

Great location

Excellent location in the centre of Garda and right on the lake front close to the ferry terminal. Although not flashy, the hotel was very nice indeed. The bedroom and bathroom were both large, and the bed extremely comfy. We had a beautiful view of the harbour and the mountains beyond. Breakfast is served outside when the weather permits and there is a good selection on offer. The staff could not have been friendlier - thank you for making us feel so welcome.
Although there is a lift in the hotel, we took the stairs instead, as it was so slow and usually full of hotel supplies so we were unsure whether it was even meant for the guests' use. Also, the addition of a mirror in the bedroom would have been appreciated as the light in the bathroom wasn't bright enough for doing hair and applying make up. However, on the whole, we we're very pleased and would stay here again.

Beautiful chilled out spot to end our grand tour

Right in the middle of the action in Garda, but very chilled out at the same time.

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of our 10 day Northern Italy grand tour, and we absolutely loved it. We had the 1st floor room with balcony (an extra bit of space I think) and view over the square and lake - and we LOVED it....

There are dozens of reasonably priced options for dinner / drinks literally right on the doorstep (including the hotel's restaurant itself which offers 10% off if you are a resident).

Be aware that you cannot drive right up to the hotel (pedestrianised area which afterwards you will be glad of), so you need to perch in the nearby carpark and run your luggage along at which point the hotel will give you a (free) pass to a nearby larger carpark 10-15mins walk away - all sounds complicated but it's really fine and having the cars out of the way actually adds to the feeling of relaxation once you're settled.

The ferry to Sirmione (well worth a trip) and to other destinations on the lake is pretty much over the road, there are dozens upon dozens of shops stocking everything from normal tourist stuff to luxury high end clothing etc.

Verona (about 30-40min drive) is well worth a few hours trip out if you have time - absolutely gorgeous, and although we were only there for a bit rivalled Venice, Florence and Siena as the nicest town/city of our trip.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly - they quickly got used to the number of coffees we wanted over breakfast etc.

The hotel was immaculately clean and the staff were excellent. They were very friendly and always had a smile on their faces. The breakfast was first class with lots of choice, they catered well for different nationalities. They would make you omelettes or scrambled eggs with a filling of your choice each day.

There was a downside to the hotel which was that although it was advertised as having a lift, it only went from the first to the second floor.

The hotel had excellent location. Iur room overlooked the square and the lake. Excellent breakfast and staff were so friendly. We ate in hotel restaurant on a few occasions. Food excellent and we received a discount on the bill. Room was small but adequate could have done with more hangers in the wardrobe but we managed as we didnt ask for more. Small negative when showering, the bathroom always flooded as the shower curtain was too short thankfully it was a wet room arrangement. A wonderful period hotel in the heart if Garda.

Good location but little bit overpriced

This hotel located in the lakeside of garda, surrounding by restaurants and shops, good view and vibe. But when I use the bathtub, unfortunately, it’s a little bit dusty and the water became yellow, maybe because it’s not the tourist season now......they didn’t clean it as usual. The room is new and big. Overall, I think it did not reach my expectations and the price is little bit high for this season.

Hotel Remat is has only about 12 rooms and it was definitely worth paying a bit extra for rooms with a lake view. The rooms are quite spacious with en-suite facilities - shower, but no bath.The hotel restaurant spreads itself almost to the lake edge and all the staff, both restaurant and hotel are very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The hotel is central to Garda town and the ferry post and bus station are easy walks away (opposite directions). There are many shops, restaurants, cafes and bars close by. We all agreed that we could not have chosen better if we had been to Garda previously - definitely will choose Remat for our next visit to the resort.

We had a lovely relaxing stay at the Remat. The room was modern and spacious, equipped with all that we needed, excellent aircon plus a balcony and lake view. The breakfast was one of the best we experienced in Italy. The waitress was extremely attentive, preparing cooked breakfasts and fresh coffee. We ate a couple of times in the restaurant, the food was great and waiters very welcoming. Housekeeping and reception all very friendly with great suggestions for places to visit. Well centered hotel, near the waterfront.

Exceptionally clean hotel with the friendliest and attentive staff. Simon the bar tender/waiter/check-in staff member was most attentive and helpful with luggage. Gabriela the room cleaner was always cheerful and daily asked if she could do anything else to make our stay more comfortable. Maria the breakfast server/attendant was always genuinely happy to serve and always put out a beautiful display of breakfast goods. Daily she would offer the preparation of eggs, variety of coffee preparations, etc.

Room was most comfortable. Our only dislike was the color of the bathroom (taupe) which made it difficult to clearly view my toiletries, even with the large window within the bathroom. Over all lighting in the room & bathroom were more for ambiance and not practical. Would I stay there again? Certainly! However I would request room #6, with lots of natural lighting and lighter painted walls.

Lovely small and friendly central hotel!

We stayed in Room 7 in Hotel Remat and had a lovely time there! Room was large and airy and had beautiful views of the harbour and lake through all three windows! Large bathroom which was very modern although watch out for glass shower in the night! Staff were very friendly and helpful and served a nice continental breakfast each morning. Free wifi was a little slow but overall a lovely old building with modern facilities and lovely food in the restaurant below!

Beautiful Garda

We have recently returned from our stay at Hotel Remat on the beautiful Lake Garda. The hotel is small and friendly and in perfect position right on the lakefront. Our bedroom was decorated in authentic Italian style and the bed was very comfortable with extra pillows if needed. The air conditioning was a bonus as it was quite warm at night even at the end of September! The bathroom was huge with a walk in rain shower and the towels and linen were changed every day. The breakfast room is on the first floor and is open from 8.00 with rolls, croissants jam/preserves, fruit and assorted meats/cheeses. The breakfast staff are very friendly and will bring omelettes, scrambled eggs and coffee of your choice on request. The hotel has it's own restaurant outside which we also tried and the food was very good with 10% off for hotel residents which was a bonus! I would definitely recommend this hotel, we enjoyed our stay there immensely and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Beautiful, quaint, authentic Italian hotel, with great style features as you would expect from the Italians. Very central for everything I.e food, lake views, night time music, bus station. Our room was minimalist but with everything you need right there. Comfy, large bed. Good wi-if connection throughout our stay here.
Breakfast was quite good, but all of the croissants had sweet fillings which I would have preferred left plain. A minor complaint in the grand scheme of things.

Spacious room in heart of Garda

Wonderful hotel, right in the middle of Garda. Room was very spacious for Italian standards and for it's super central location. Only bad thing about the room was the super dirty airco filters, we suspect they never knew that air-conditioners have filters you actually have to clean! The (big) breakfast is very nice and fresh omelets are offered every morning. Service is very friendly, also from the waiter team in their restaurant. We traveled with a car and parking is free, though about a 15 minute walk away! No fun when it rains... All in all a great hotel in Garda!

This is a small hotel situated on the promenade and is therefore ideal for local restaurants and shops. It is just a few minutes walk from both the bus station and the lake ferry point. Guests benefit from a 10% discount to the associated hotel restaurant. The rooms have individual character and the service is personal and friendly. There was a good choice at breakfast and staff were happy to tailor cooked food to your individual choice.

Hotel Remat is a little gem of a hotel, where the owners have mixed modern hotel style with traditional touches. Service is fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. We had a lake side room which gave us views of the square below and the lake and mountains beyond. Our room was spacious and very clean and air conditioned. Breakfast was very nice and had a large selection available. The hotel has a restaurant attached which is well worth a visit for lunch or in the evening, we would recommend any of the fish dishes. Overall I would definitely use the hotel again and would 100% recommend it.

Need desk help

As we drove around from Srmione to Garda we were happy to enter this ery beautiful section of the lake. Sirmione was very crowded but a cute old city part. Anyway, we finally found the hotel which is. Not easy to do when driving. The claim to have parking, which is true, but not very close. S we unloaded our luggage on a side street and went to the hotel. It is very nice. PROBLEM, there was no one at the desk. Just some phone numbers. We went down to their restaurant and finally found someone to help us. Te room was very clean and comfortable with a great view of the lake. Te biggest problem was the was no one at the front desk except for a short time once. Very frustrating. The breakfast service was excellent and the cappuccino was to die for. Overall, we would not stay there again because of the lake of desk help. No way to get information from the hotel.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel rundum genossen! Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit – vom Check-in bis zur Abreise wurden wir bestens betreut.
Die Rezeption ist nicht dauerhaft besetzt da sich das Hotel überhalb des Remat Restaurant befindet (für uns war das aber kein Problem da man Notfall Telefonnummern erhalten hat).
Der Parkplatz hat sich ca 1km entfernt vom Hotel befunden und ist kostenfrei.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, schön eingerichtet und angenehm ruhig. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns der schöne Ausblick. Auch das Frühstück war sehr lecker: große Auswahl, frische Produkte und für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal – zentral, aber dennoch ruhig. Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und öffentliche Verkehrsmittel waren alle in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen.

Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können das Hotel weiterempfehlen!

Bra restaurang med härlig personal och god mat
Det dåliga betyget beror på aircondition som inte fungerade, alla fönster skulle vara stängda för att få kyla men fungerade inte. Över 30 grader varmt i rummet.
Sängen var Hård, en av de sämsta jag stött på.
Ljuset i badrummet gick inte att släcka
Hotellet ligger vid en väldigt livlig plats, party fram till 04 utanför.
Tyvärr så kan jag inte rekommendera detta men besök gärna restaurangen

Troublesome parking and no a/c

It’s not possible to drive to the hotel, not even for a quick drop off, so it was a little complicated to get to the hotel with our luggage to check in and get to the free parking space. It would have been helpful if we had received directions so that we could have gone directly to the hotel’s parking space instead of stopping by the hotel first by foot to get registered with our license plate. Then we got the wrong room at check-in that was a lot smaller than the suite we’d booked, and we got worried if there would even be enough space for the three of us there - since there’s no receptionist it took a while to correct that mistake. When we got to the right room, it was very spacious and nice with a view of the port. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had a big bath tub. The only thing we missed was some air condition, as the room got incredibly hot at night. There were some big, old school air condition machines put up, but they were noisy and inefficient. The breakfast was good and the staff was nice and helpful. Overall, not the smoothest experience but it was ok for one night.

Portaat, ei hissiä. Pienellä viimeistelyllä ja asiakaspalvelutsempillä saataisiin ihmeitä aikaan.

Top Lage, tolles Hotel und sehr gutes Restaurant

Sehr gutes Hotel im zentrum der Altstadt. Einziges kleines Problem ist, dass man die Unterkunft nur zu Fuß erreichen kann. Gepäck muss an der Straße ausgeladen werden und ca. 100 Meter durch die Fußgängerzone geschleift werden.
Hotel an sich ist absolut Top. Sehr schön renoviert. Zimmer sehr freundlich und leise.
Lage absolute Weltklasse, direkt am See. Toller ausblick und hervorragendes Restaurant.

Huone ok kokoinen, sänky kova kuin tiili. Kylppäri ok, mutta estettömän karu. Suihkuverho lyhyt ja suihkua käytettäessä puoli lattiaa märkänä. Pyyheteline tippuili seinästä.

Pysäköintipaikalle matkaa ja lopuksi piti vielä palauttaa pysäköintilippu hotellille, mikäli mieli saada 20 euron pantin takaisin.

Itse hotellin sijainti oli hyvä. Aamiainen italialaiseksi jopa hyvä.

Hurmaava ja persoonallinen. Junior suite oli todella tilava, pieni parveke järvinäkymällä hauska ja upea poreallas huoneessa ihana yllätys. Aamupalalla mietittyjä ja viimeisteltyjä vaihtoehtoja, mutta ei älyttömän paljon. Maailman parhaat croissantit! Ja munakas tehtiin ala minute pyydettäessä. Suosittelen lämpimästi ja tulisin ehdottomasti uudestaan.

Et lille, stemningsfuldt hotel lige ned til vandkanten.
Skønt personale, som er imødekommende og skaber god stemning på hotellet og i restauranten.
Dejlig morgenbuffet. Derudover a la carte servering om aftenen. Dette ved borde på et lille torv med udsigt ud over søen.

Hotel Remat er et utrolig hyggeligt lille hotel med 7 værelser. Hotellet er renoveret og det er lykkedes at bevare den atmosfære, der hører til et gammelt hus kombineret med moderne faciliteter. Hotellet har en god beliggenhed.
Vi havde et værelse med søudsigt og altan lige ud til et lille torv, hvorfra vi kunne følge dagens gang.
Personalet er meget servicemindede og virker familiære og fordi hotellet er så lille som det er, så ved alle ansatte, hvem der er gæster - virkelig god og personlig betjening.
Der serveres dejlig morgenmad og omeletten med tilbehør bliver først lavet, når du sætter dig til morgenbordet. Morgenmaden serveres udenfor på det lille torv.
Hotellet har et fremragende køkken og serverer god mad, hvis man ønsker at spise frokost og aftensmad på hotellet.
Hotellet sørger for gratis parkering ca. 5. minutters gang fra hotellet.
Tusind tak til Simon, Gabriella, Julia og alle de andre.
Et absolut anbefalelsesværdigt hotel som vi gerne besøger igen.

Pikkuhotelli huippusijainnilla rantapromenadin varrella ja järvinäköalalla. Hyvä ruoka ja todella ystävällinen henkilökunta. Huoneen, hotellin yleisten tilojen ja ulkoterassin siisteys erinomainen. Ja erityiskiitos toimivasta ilmastointilaitteesta koska lämpötila oli lähes 40 astetta koko vierailun ajan.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte da, es steht drin das man Behindertenfreundliche Zimmer hat, Jedoch ging der Aufzug erst ab dem 1. Stock also mussten wir unseren Kinderwagen jedesmal 1Stockwerk hoch und runter tragen. Das fand ich sehr anstrengend. Babybett war bei Ankuft schon aufgebaut und vorbereitet das war auch super.

Ansonsten im Zimmer hat mir persönlich ein Wasserkocher gefehlt, da wir mit baby unterwegs waren aber ich hatte eine Thermoskanne dabei und hab immer heißes Wasser bekommen, das war dann ok.

Klima im Zimmer super! Auch wenn man nicht im Zimmer war, ist die gelaufen das war sehr gut bei den heißen Tagen, restaurant war sehr lecker🙂 personal sehr freundlich.

Das kleine und feine Hotel liegt mitten im Ort an einem kleinen Platz am Meer. Die Einrichtung ist sehr stilvoll mit vielen hübschen Akzenten. Das Zimmer war geräumig mit einem modernen Bad und französischem Balkon. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Posizione fantastica, tutto curato nei minimi particolari il periodo era tranquillo, unico peccato è la mancanza di parcheggio vicino ma è comprensibile sei in riva al lago e la cosa passa in secondo piano, la camera era dotata di ogni confort e la colazione era ricca sia di dolce che di salato, personale gentilissimo. appena potremo ci torneremo.

Charme på havnefronten

ligger lige på strandpromenaden hvilket er skønt for adgang til byen men lidt besværligt for parkering, men de har p'gratis pladser 5 min gang fra hotellet. Sødt personale, skøn morgenmad og i øvrigt godt køkken.

Colori sul Lago di Garda

In questo carnevale in bianco e nero per colpa della pandemia, abbiamo trovato qualche nota di colore passeggiando per la città di Garda e zone limitrofe.
L' Hotel Remàt si trova esattamente al centro della città di Garda a 30 metri dal lago ed in zona pedonale. Molto bella la piazzetta con intorno l'hotel, bar, ristoranti e altro che affacciano sulla splendida visuale del lago.
Gli unici parcheggi disponibili sono quelli cittadini dislocati a circa 200 e 300 m e sono a pagamento.
L'hotel si presenta ristrutturato ma non stravolto nella sua struttura originale. Le camere sono molto accoglienti, silenziose, spaziose e pulite. La nostra (n.5) era grande e con un bel camino. Ottimo il wi-fi e tutte le altre dotazioni della camera. Molto bello il salone per le letture adiacente alla sala colazione. Una buona parola va spesa anche per la colazione, dal dolce al salato alla frutta non mancava niente ed anche di buona qualità.
Il personale è molto attento e presente, ma sempre discreto e non invadente.
La prima sera abbiamo usufruito di una discreta cena, un po' cara, presso il restò de l'hotel preceduto da un aperitivo offerto al bar, mentre la seconda sera, quella di San Valentino, è stato presentato un menù a tema, ottimo nella qualità e nel prezzo.
Nonostante le difficoltà del momento, lo staff dell' hotel non ci ha fatto mancare niente.
In situazione di normalità si potrà godere anche dell'accoglienza turistica dei vari locali e negozi, purtroppo quasi tutti chiusi.

Super Location an der Promenade

Das Hotel Remat besticht durch seine Lage an der Promenade von Garda. Die Zimmer sind groß und schön eingerichtet, wie auch sauber. Lediglich das Parken ist etwas schwierig, da der kostenlose Parkplatz relativ weit entfernt liegt und nähere Parkplätze relativ teuer sind.
