If you don't mind staying at an old and unkept place, you'll be fine here. Some of the guests were questionable, to say the least. My husband and I asked to be moved because right next door, they had a big dog and several people kept going in and out of the room. I wouldn't feel comfortable if I had small children here. The price was fairly cheap, so you get what you pay for... Next time, I'll pay more to stay at a place where I'll feel safe and comfortable.

When I got in my room a spider crawled out from the comforter. There was a huge stain on it as well. The shower water took 20mins to heat up and the pressure is awful. It was hot in the room, but the AC is up towards the ceiling and I couldn't find a remote.

IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO SLEEP, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, or at least demand a room on the second floor. Any noise in an room to the side or above you is somehow louder than it would be if it were in your own room. Words uttered above a whisper are inside your skull. Bathroom noises blaring. There was a dog next door constantly barking and crying for it's owners who hadn't paid the pet fee but nothing could be done because they weren't there.

The fact that this place is rated above 7 is proof that you can buy fake reviews. Yes, it was also dirty and run down, but I expect that from a cheap motel - I've just never in my thousands of nights in cheap motels, ever had someplace with walls this transparent to sound. Its basically a giant hostel with thin dividers disguised as walls.

the staff was super kind and helpful and i appreciated the room coming with a fridge, microwave and tv. it was clearly an older property so there are things in the room that could’ve been maintained better like the outlets and shower, to name a couple. however it was a very easy check in and check out process and super close to local food and shops so that was a plus as well :)

Loved the big bottle of conditioner in shower. Very good communication and making sure we didn’t need anything. Also they came in everyday and made the bed also loved the little table to eat at. Cons were rust in bathtub, bathroom fan was very loud and the toilet took forever for the reserve to fill up

Find another hotel!!!! We finally arrived to the hotel at 12:30am after driving from South Lake Tahoe to San Diego. We were exhausted but excited to find a nice cozy bed to sleep on. I walked into the hotel office to grab our key, instead of getting a key, I was told that our room had been given away. (This was a room that we had booked and paid for through Expedia) He explained that they tried to call us “all day” to see if we were coming.

The concierge at the front desk tried to make it work for us by putting us into a room that was under repair. We had no choice but to agree. Upon entering that room, we were immediately greeted by hundreds of cockroaches in every crevice of the room - including the bed we were going to sleep on. In addition to the roach problem, the fridge in that room was pulled out of the wall and in the middle of our walk path…it smelled like a dead animal. My girls were so frightened and disgusted that they would not go into the room…We ended up sleeping in our car the first night and had to wait until 10 am in the hot sun before getting another room. Upon entering the second room - I went to use the restroom and discovered a clogged toilet that was bubbling and not flushing. I desperately tried to get help and explained our situation to the front office. By the time she made it to our room the room had completely flooded and her solution was for us to once again sleep in our car. At this point I was so frustrated, we packed up our things and left.

I liked this place. I was in SD for a Padres game and this place is a 10 minute walk from the train that takes you right to the stadium. Much cheaper than staying in SD closer to the stadium. Only issue with the room was the AC unit dripped a lot of water, almost slipped at one point and couldn't figure out where the water had leaked from. Other than that, good property, would stay here again.

Overall, the experience was terrible from the moment of check-in. After I called ahead to let them know we would be arriving late, we were still gonna get assigned a room with no hot water and no air conditioning after declining it, the room we received was also different from what we had reserved which would have been a 2 bed not a 1 bed
The room was very dirty, with cracked walls, broken doors, and a strong unpleasant odor that smelled like mold. The air conditioner was dirty as well and blew out an odor that smelled like urine.

Terrible bed, that humid smell inside the room plus that noisy AC. The door was so old it was tricky to unlock it. It was only one night for business trip but this was the worst experience ever. Avoid this place.

Door to room was getting stuck. Struggled to get in. Front desk was unhelpful and told me I didn’t know how to use the key card. A housekeeper assisted me when she saw me struggling. She showed me
How to open the stuck door and told me it was just getting stuck.
Toilet would not refill when flushing. I reached out to the front desk via text message thread they sent me for requests. Never responded and they never came to check it out. Room had a lot of wear and tear on the walls along with the broken door. Will not be staying here again. Room is very old and smells old. Nothing like pictures.

The younger girl at the reception with the boyfriend there so it was kind of not professional.

There was a loud night club with loud thunderous music and loud vehicles doing burnouts. Till 3 am. The seats in the room were filthy looking. The counter top looked dirty too. I train could also be heard several times. Bright lights are on all night. The only upside was that the bed and pillows were comfortable.

Never got to experience a stay because they overbooked and left me hanging in San Diego after driving three hours. Had a reservation, paid and everything and the staff was useless and told me I would have to go through Expedia for a refund. Thank God Expedia came through and found me another hotel and did not charge me a penny more. Also, this hotel is in a very shady area. Very unsafe.

The advertisement photos and descriptions for this property are completely misleading. During my stay with my family, we discovered black mold along the bathroom edges, rust throughout the bathtub, peeling paint, and overall poor room conditions. The room was also advertised as non-smoking, yet it smelled old, musty, and heavily of smoke upon arrival.

Due to the health and cleanliness concerns, I immediately requested to cancel the remainder of my stay, but the property refused to issue a refund. I am extremely disappointed that a hotel with these conditions is still operating and continuing to advertise rooms that do not accurately reflect the actual property.

This experience was unacceptable, unsanitary, and far below reasonable hospitality standards.

This place is jotnworth $164 a night. The staff was friendly enough, but the property is run down and pretty beat up. The sink clogged with every use, the window in the bathroom had a trailer park view straight into someone's bath door, which gave sketchy American Horror Story vibes. The sheets had viewable stains on the bedding and the pillows. The outlets did not work; come to find out that the middle night stand wasnt even plugged in. The overall state of the room was grimy. The fridge wasn't even turned on. The water smelled weird, the shower had no pressure. I can appreciate that they provided dove products, such as hand lotion, soap, and shampoo and conditioner, but can someone please explain why there was body lotion in the shower instead of body wash? This place mighr bw great for the budget traveler, but it was certainly not up to standards for a family with young children.

I don't recommend it. There was a cleaning person who came to give the service in a bad way. I went to the resection and the person who was at that time came out upset. I didn't explain what had happened. He disrespected me in that and agreed with the cleaning person and the guest and told me that's why it happened. They wouldn't rent me a room again. I hope the customer service improves. You have to know who to put in customer service so that these things don't happen.

There was a family next door with kids and there was lots of noise all night. The bathroom window was broken. It wouldn't shut and the screen was gone. The air conditioning didn't work right. It was high up and manual so I had to climb a chair every time I wanted to switch it.
The toilet seat screws were broken. Wouldn't tighten.

Bed was comfortable enough and pillows were fluffy. The room was clean but in clear need of repairs.

For the price it's worth it to come back. The other rooms I've stayed in were better.

We found tiny cockroaches in the room and inside microwave and drawers.

Staff was helpful for the most part. When we asked for some insecticide to kill the bugs the front office person said he didn't know where the cleaning supplies were and then no one went to the room to clean after being promised someone would take care of the roaches.

The room was dirty. I never received room service to provide more towels or empty the trash for the entire 4 days we stayed. The location is not in a great area, which I understand I get what I pay for but there was people constantly getting high or blasting music making it hard to sleep.
Only positive was it is located close to the freeway and several fast food locations.
