Great location on the river
Nicole
Nice stay and perfect location for walking to shops and restaurants. Only negative is no laundry on property other than professional dry cleaning.
Jeffrey
Everything was great with two exceptions ice machines should be on every floor, my wife had her shoulder replaced and getting ice on the first floor from the fifth floor was a chore. The AC unit in room works great but air can not be directed and sitting in chair unbearable. sincerely Jeff Southworth room 520

The hotel is fine, but it’s a bit outdated. I stayed here almost 20 years ago, and it really hasn’t changed a bit, which also means the rooms haven’t been upgraded. They have a great location on the river obviously, but they charge an exorbitant amount for what you actually get.

We did not get the room that we booked through expedia. I can't get any money back for my suite that we booked because we went through a 3rd party. Now, I have to got back to expedia to dispute this because it was their fault. They booked a room that wasn't even available. We didn't know until we got to the hotel. We had to pay for a second room so the others could have room to sleep. They did give us a little discount but still not enough to make up for the amount we spent on the riverview balcony suite that we paid for. It was very disappointing.
Traci
Window covered with paint splatter made it hard to see the boat dock and water view. Had a hard time finding the ice machine and it would have been nice to have more table seating outside.
Jeanette
Room was very comfortable with a small balcony and nice view across to the marina and bridges on the Neuse River. Complimentary coffee was very good and there was a good selection at breakfast.
Catherine
Loved staying here! Perfect location with walking distance to fun restaurants and shops.
James
Nice property, great staff, modern room, and clean
Deleaiah
The property is situated near the water with a lovely view. We had live entertainment on the deck. Really enjoyed our stay.
Kathy
Peaceful relaxing stay with a view of the river.

Bathroom was dirty with hairs all
Over the shower/bath. Surfaces were dusty in room and floor was sticky at entrance.
Huge gap in window drapes so very bright in am which was awful since barely slept with the old and very loud and ever winding air conditioning unit. Have pics and video. Pool was filthy and the area itself was dilapidated and slapped together. Groundspeople walked around watering plants with rap blaring. I was flabbergasted at how lousy this experience was from the snotty front desk check in to there being no coffee after 9 am and more. On the marina. Very pricey for the area. Never again

Check-in had a glitch. The email confirmation from Expedia did not identify my reservation to the Hilton staff. The confirmation number didn’t map to anything in the Hilton system. I had to guess which names in my party that I had registered rooms under. Nothing in the email from Expedia gave me those names.
Marcia
Great place to say in historic New Bern!
Erin
The room was perfect and had a great view of the harbor! Staff was great and they have a fully stocked bar. The cookies we received upon checkin were AMAZING! I only wish we could've gotten more. :) Definitely will be back.
Joanna
Very friendly staff. Great room with view. We enjoyed our stay.
Paula
Very good service!!! Excellent restaurant!
Kris
Didn’t have breakfast. My only problem was the room smelled really bad. Overwhelming stinch when you opened the door.
Had a change in plans so doubletree was very gracious at giving us a refund on the second night.

Gorgeous hotel in a prime location. I loved my riverfront view ! There 2as a great outdoor space looking out on the boats and yachts.
$15 breakfast was too high for my tastes. But it's a bougie hotel with a restaurant and barS. Sooo.

Great place with views of the harbor. Nice to have a hotel with a lounge.

We were unable to check in when we arrived. We had dinner reservations as well as a scheduled activity that evening resulting in us being able to check in till after 9.

The check-in was flawless. The clerk at the desk was friendly, efficient and gave me a warm cookie before I departed to my room.

Couples get away
We started one night just to enjoy a get away. Overall very nice and would stay again. Only complaint is the balcony door is broken/ off track maybe? And so it was hard to open. The restaurant was really nice and delicious and we enjoyed both bars and pool. Definitely a nice stay.
Rebecca
I paid additional room charge to have balcony over looking the river. Beautiful view. However they do not even have a chair to sit on that balcony. When I told the person at front desk she quickly dismissed me. Clearly I had not been the only person to mention this and she clearly did not want to hear about it.

Andrea
Great place to stay
Great hotel- clean and comfortable. Friendly staff.
Marie
It’s so quiet here - no one was in the restaurant/ lounge or in the street while walking last night- a little bit of a ghost town
Ross
Great hotel very convenient to everything New Bern has to offer. Rooms are setup so all have a view of the water.
Theresa
The hotel was older and more dated than expected. The front desk called to confirm my reservations when the room was paid for. There was trash (cups, etc.) on the window sills on my floor. We told the front desk staff. The trash was still there the next day. There was a MATTRESS lying out at the end of the hall. The river front view and location were amazing, but this hotel, not so much.
Henry
Returning for a second stay. The hotel is attentive to all the smaller aspects which leaves an overall feeling of informal luxury. Including breakfast in rather high cost should be considered
elizabeth
The rooms are not really typical Hilton rooms. Dated and run down. Loud ac. Pool could use a cleaning. View of the river is great and easy to walk downtown.
Aishia
There wasn't any chairs on the balcony which defeated the purpose. If we ever stay again we will not be paying for a balcony room. Also, the shower leaked. It sprayed up onto the ceiling and flooded the bathroom. (Which is extremely small) Maintenance did come and fix it immediately.

The view was beautiful and room was clean and cozy
Chasti
Has a pool and good location. Elevators are in a weird spot and small.
Joseph
Sad for a Hilton member
I reserved 2 rooms, 317 and 310. My parents were in 310. The shower curtain rod was crooked so water ran out and they are elderly. Next, the water faucet in the shower kept coming off and they had to put it back on. The front desk was made aware.
Bronwyn
The room was very damp despite the air conditioning. Ceiling in room had water damage/peeling. Bathroom floor was sticky underfoot. Hallway was not well air-conditioned. Pool did not open until 9am. Quite disappointed considering the price point.
Nicole
The rooms were clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable, but they were not queen size they were double. The hallways were very hot. The pool was not clean. We had to ask multiple times for the sheets for the pullout. Breakfast was OK, but not a lot of space for seating.
Dylan
The back patio was in great need of repair/ remodel. Pool was not usable. The shower would not work in the morning and had a broke faucet. Property has seen better days.
James
Quick service and great attitude of employees..
Allison
Beds and pillows were AMAZING. Very comfortable trip. Service was amazing!
Robert
Pet friendly. Quick elevator. Space to walk pets. Comfortable bed. Nice shower
Bonnie
Close and within walking distance to downtown area. Room has a musty damp odor to it

Not so good....
I had checked in on the APP and when I got to the room someone else was in it. The staff at front desk rapidly fixed the issue. I spent time on the deck enjoying drinks which was nice, I went to the Restaurant at 9PM and was seated, we waited about 10 minutes and realized they were short staffed, so we left before we could be served.
Gary
Area and location is awesome, lots of walkable activity and views. Room is great if you usually stay at Motel 6, if you are expecting a room Hilton properties usually offer, it’s not good. Bathroom is small, tub/shower was not clean (mold on bottom of curtain), A/C unit was very loud.
Edwin
Better of two good hotels there.
Mary
Great location, ample parking, clean, friendly staff.
Logan
Amazing staff and great room will be staying again
Anika
Very good customer service

Needed a couple of chairs on patio to enjoy the view
I fell when entering the room due to slippery floor
Restaurant should have afternoon bar and food options.

Great room! Great view. Staff were friendly and the room was clean and stocked well. It was very quiet at night. They also had live music which was good. Within walking or short driving distance to food and shops etc.

New Bern is a beautiful town and the hotel is close to everything.

Excellent stay and accommodations
Kathleen
The stay started with the front desk giving another guest the same key as us and a young man started coming into our room. Worse was when I called desk they acted like it was no problem and that “ he’ll probably bring it back to us”. Really? I should count on that? Then we didn’t get service one day so ran out of tp, no clean towels and when I called I was told they had no staff to bring us tp. All this and restaurant was closed for repairs which the hotel failed to inform us of prior to our stay. All in all I w

Janet
The hotel is in a beautiful location by the river, very walkable and pleasant and close to nice restaurants and coffee shops. But the hotel itself offers little out of the ordinary. The restaurant was closed and furnishings like towels are old. Three mounted bottles of conditioner in the shower, no shampoo or soap. Why?
Jamila
Staff was super accommodating and helpful. Area restaurants were great and easy to walk to.

Well kept hotel in a great area

Front desk staff was great, particularly Justin, who worked the night front desk. He was so funny and kind, had great recommendations for local coffee and dinner. Jennifer in the restaurant during breakfast was also great! I’ll be traveling to New Bern regularly for work and will definitely be staying here again!
Billy
Wonderful stay in the heart of scenic New Bern within walking distance of most things.

Great staycation.
It was a great getaway. Quiet rooms except for the occasional doors closing. Warm free cookies. Service amazing. Just wish they had Netflix app. Otherwise great and beautiful view with balcony. Stayed in a suite. Very clean/

We had a wonderful trip and will definitely stay again. The view of the water was wonderful. The beds were very comfy. All staff was helpful and very friendly. The downtown of New Bern was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. The food was great at the hotel. Thank you.

Weekend Getaway
Great stay. Sad I had to ask for cups beyond those for the coffee machine. Ice bucket not emptied nor was the bag replaced. Only one ice machine in the hotel? Had to get ice in the restaurant. No newspapers on the property that we could find? Staff was congenial and helpful. These items are small, but detract from the ambience. Staff was helpful and professional.

We could see out to boats and Flotilla.

Great hotel. Loved the free cookies, front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and Tanya at the breakfast buffet was outstanding!

Hotel is fine, queen beds would be better than double. Primarily give three stars because the restaurant on sight needs major improvement. Food was good however the service is horrible, they need more staff!! Also whoever thinks having metal dining tables outside in the sun, doesn’t understand the concept they got too hot to touch.

Marina visit
Very nice hotel in a great location. Room was comfortable with a good view of the marina. Pet friendly and our dog was welcome.
Only issue was the water pressure on 5th floor. Very erratic with temperature variances which caused serious risk of being burned with the very hot water.
