My experience was great because of Kasey, alone! She was amazing! The hotel is old and outdated. Our first room was extremely hot, after I checked in, the temp was at 77 degrees. I turned it all the way down, was gone for a few hours and the temp rose to 78 degrees! With the rising temperature and the smell of mildew (think wet towels) and the refrigerator not cooling, I could not subject my son who was practicing all day in the sun for football to a hot, smelly room. Kasey switched our room, with the air blasting! No smell and it was clean! I would go back if I ever need to go to St. Joe's again, just off the strength of Kasey! Thank you Kasey! <3

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Hampton inn. There was a little bit of a mix up with our reservation through hotels.com, but the front desk host Kasey was so incredibly helpful, We needed to point her out my name. She completely straightened up the reservations and we had a wonderful stay. She was one of the most helpful front desk clerks we've run across and all of our travels, and we've traveled a lot.

Parking was easy and plenty of spots available. The staff was inviting and very nice. The room was updated and very clean.
There was a tornado warning the night we stayed and they called our room to check on us. They advised us that there was a storm shelter down stairs.

The general areas (halls, elevators, lobby, etc) are worn, dated, and dingy. The bathroom had broken tiles and the door was partially painted in two different shades. When I entered the shower and pulled the curtain shut, a washcloth fell down. I assume it was up there from the previous guest. yuk! In addition, the beds were noisy making it hard to sleep. The breakfast was not satisfactory with powdered eggs. The staff was very nice and friendly, especially the check-in clerk.

Unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations, particularly for a stay longer than two days. The beds were extremely hard, which made it uncomfortable over the course of my visit. Additionally, the pool was out of service. I only learned during my stay that it had been unavailable for quite some time, which was disappointing as this was one of the amenities I was looking forward to using.
While the hotel does offer complimentary breakfast, the options were very limited compared to what I have experienced at other hotels. On Saturday, the selection consisted of one meat option, eggs, waffles, muffins, and coffee. On Sunday, the only hot option was biscuits and gravy, offering little variety. Because of this, we ended up going out for breakfast instead.
Lastly, the overall cleanliness of the hotel could have been improved, as it did not meet the standard I expected.
I am sharing this feedback in hopes that it will be helpful for future improvements.

Clerk at check in seemed like she rather had been somewhere else. The 1st room we were put in, the deadbolt wouldn't lock. After notifying the clerk of the issue, she then put us in a 2nd room where you had to forcefully lift the door handle upward in order for the deadbolt to engage the strike plate. The clerk the next morning took the issue seriously and filled out a work order for maintenance to fix the deadbolts.

The positive. The staff was friendly, professional, always greeting us with a smile. Most of the hotel, our room and bathroom was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable.

What needs work... the dining area looked worn and in need of a good cleaning. The vents and ducts in the dining room were grimy with dirt. The backs and seats of the dining room chairs were dirty.

Our room was filthy. My husband had on white socks that turned brown when he walked on the floor. The tub had mold growing on the soap dish. There was no guide for the television and, when my husband asked, the front desk staff could not help us. We chose Hampton b/c we thought it would be a notch above. We were disappointed.

We were greeted promptly and were soon in our room. It was very tastefully decorated. The mattress was so comfortable I think I was asleep the minute my head hit the pillow (which were so soft as well!) and slept a solid 7 hours. Breakfast was scrumptious, many options and the vanilla malt waffles were delicious! All staff were so friendly. Checkout easier than check in, which means it took 2 seconds! The location is right off the interstate and was just a hop and skip to Chiefs camp. Highly recommend!

The team at Hampton Inn was excellent. They made us feel welcome and helped us with anything we needed. My nephew left his stuffed animal in the room and they got it for us and kept it until we could get back over. They even included a little snack with his stuffie saying it had gotten hungry. The room was clean however the scent they used was pretty strong. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay.

Hampton can do better, I've stayed at many of them and this was the most run down of any of them. The room felt muggy, the bedding and pillows felt wet even though the a/c was set to 70. This hotel just needs some TLC to get back up there. Morning breakfast was good and staff was friendly!

The Check in time was all the wAY wrong. THe itinurary didnt have a time on it for check in. I needed the room at 11 pm they would not let me check in or refund i needed the room for that evening. I specifically booked to have a stay with a pool and hot tub only to learn that they both are closed this evening for maintnance. No where did expedia or hampton say this. The ice machine on the fourth floor is out of ice......and there are no laundry facilities or bags for the soiled laundry. the staff is not welcoming or nice if your a local poor choice horrible stay
