The front desk needs more than one person during check in. But be very careful when picking your room as we had picked a king size bed and somehow they put us in a handicapped queen size room telling us that our original booking because they only have one king handicapped they have to keep it available. Other than that the staff and housekeeping were wonderful.

Staff was nice, but the hotel seems to be struggling with cleanliness or awareness. Our room hadn’t been swept or mopped in I couldn’t tellyou how long. Hair on the bed sheets, and the bathroom floor near the toilet felt like it was going to fall through. The room was huge so that was nice. Breakfast had moldy bread and sausage was burnt but the juice and coffee was good.

We stayed last weekend at the Best Western, Jackson and with some trepidation I score it a 4 out of 5.

First, when checking in, I noticed that they immediately put us on the second floor so I asked if they had elevators to which the clerk said, \"no\" to which I said, oh, no ADA compliance? \"To which he said \"what's that?\" (I can tell he will one day be a manager in the hospitality industry.) I said, \"that is the law that assures access compliance for folks with limited mobility.\" To which he said, \"we are historical\" (right, from the 1980's perhaps, not the 1880's.

I am thinking that some mention should be made of this deficit in the listing on Hotels.com.

No offer to look for a downstairs room, just, that was it. Fortunately my mobility issues are not critical (yet), but my impression of this place, where I had stayed twice before, became more so.

The place was reasonably quiet, and if you set aside the fact that all upstairs and downstairs doors to the halls were apparently open all the time (no security locking) and the guy blowing copious amounts of dope, which wafted down the halls from the staircase landing, everything was just peachy.

The room was clean and well appointed though. The Denny's next door had gone out of business.

The broom was clean. The staff was courteous and friendly. There was no wait time. She greeted me. It was perfect and for it to be a best Western you sometimes think you don’t pay a lot so you expect bad service but I’ve gotten bad service at better hotels, but this place was a 10 out of 10 the breakfast was good in the morning. The staff was nice. It was clean no issues and it had hot water considering it was like 19° outside

There were no outside lights; I travel with my dog and had to walk him in the dark; it says it accepts pets but there is no place to potty them; the doors to outside are not locked and were left open, there were 2 pickup trucks with loud men drinking that we kept having to walk past

I left this stay feeling extremely disappointed. From the moment we arrived, things were off. We showed up early and simply asked if the room was ready. Instead of a clear answer, we were told check-in wasn’t until 3 PM. Only after asking again did they mention the room was ready but would require a $33 early check-in fee. We were fine paying, but the way it was communicated made us feel like we were bothering them.

Our room was never cleaned, even though we were out for hours. When I called, the front desk immediately suggested we had a “Do Not Disturb” sign up, which we did not. Then they claimed housekeeping must be requested—something never mentioned at check-in, not posted anywhere, and not listed in hotel info. When I questioned this, the explanation suddenly changed. Their own website even states daily housekeeping, which contradicts everything we were told.

They said they could send housekeeping now but only if we left the room, which wasn’t helpful at that point as we were already settling in for the evening

I asked to speak with a manager and was told none were on duty but one would be in at 8 AM. When I checked out and asked again, I was told no manager was available until the afternoon. I requested a call from management but still haven’t heard anything.

Overall, the poor communication, inconsistent information, and lack of accountability made this stay far more stressful and disappointing than it should have been.

So much noise really early in the morning. I was on the bottom floor, because I am handicapped but the staff was really rowdy.

And in the cafeteria they seemed like they were bothered by my husband & I being there, they wanted to know our room number, and they acted suspicious about us staying there. As if not to believe we had. They spoke Spanish to one another but very loud for 7:30 in the morning,I travel a lot & have had many experiences with complimentary breakfast environment, none like this, then one of them began to sing a song in Spanish really loud over the t.v. They insisted on cleaning my little table where I sat it was a duece, only seats two, and there cleaning products were so strong, ammonia of some sort, but I’m trying to eat my eggs & toast. They could have waited until I was finished. They were in a big hurry to cycle people through. My husband & I are retired & this is a working hotel, lots of construction workers, it’s busselling, next time I would ask to be in the back part of the hotel because we like to sleep until 10:00. Over all the staff was pleasant. And I would like to note that I am Mexican.

They only have they had like three giant buildings and there was only ice in one of them down at the far end that's odd you couldn't even find a soda machine or anything anywhere it was not good.

I have stayed at this property a number of times over the years and there has been a significant upgrade in the rooms. The room darkening shades were among the best I've seen anywhere. For the second year now, I could not get the lobby computer to print my boarding pass. The desk chair was broken. In a climate where pretty much anything grows, it was a missed opportunity to have faded, plastic plants at the main entrance. The most significant issue with this property is that at least 50% of the rooms are on a second level -- reached only by climbing, and dragging your luggage, up a flight of stairs. If you have mobility issues, you best call the property directly to assure that you have been assigned a main floor room. Apparently, the original property has been \"grandfathered\" so as not to have to conform with the ADA code or State regulation for an elevator.

Stayed in Building C. Awful experience. Cigarette butts all around property. Dog poop on the grass outside sliding door, which was very hard to open.Curtains were torn.Ice machine didn't work. Requested room cleaning. Clerk said they were to busy to clean that day. Had to go to office to get towels and empty garbage. Front desk clerk had a poor attitude. The only consolation was the General Manager Cyndia, who was very nice and helped us out.
