The hotel is older and not very clean. We stayed 5 nights and our room was never serviced, even after requesting it twice. One time we got a garbage bag with 2 towels left outside our door. I personally find it gross to use the same towel for that many days. I wouldn't stay here again.

Great location, direct access to the snowmobile trails, right off 87 at exit 21, parking is a little tight with a trailer, some rooms of the hotel are older and a little dated compared to the newer parts of the hotel, second floor rooms in the 270's are newer and a little nicer than the downstairs 110's, I only have 2 minor complaints about the hotel, the strict 4pm check in time, with rooms still not ready at 4pm and this hotel never has enough towels, they post a sign at the desk stating if you need new towels you must exchange the used ones, but they dont put towels in your room to start with.. 2 seperate weekends i stayed there in two diffrent parts of the hotel, both times no towels in the room at check in.. other than that, staff was polite and helpful, would stay there again

The staff was nice. We had to move rooms because the original one had plumbing issues, the toilet didn't flush and the sink water didn't go down. The doors have a huge gap so it's very easy to hear noisy people in the hallways and rooms next door. Overall, not a bad place to stay, had nice breakfast options and nice staff, but most likely would not come back.

Pretty terrible experience. Arrived to no parking due to people with trailers parking sideways across spots. Got our key and went to our room and someone was in it. Woke the guy up. And we both went to front desk clerk who advised someone changed my room without changing the premade key. Multiple people came to lobby complaining while I was in there, one asked for a towel and they advised they have no towels due to being at max capacity. Hallways in hotel reeked of weed. Room was outdated, no water pressure to sinks, pillows all had tons of strings coming off them, probably should have been thrown out years ago. Actually cut my finger open trying to pull strings off pillow so I use the pillow without inhaling a string. Room actually had a gap in the ceiling with light showing through which was the stairwell. Could hear all the noise in the stairwell. Met people at breakfast that were all complaining about their rooms. Seemed everyone was unhappy. Will never stay here again.

So much was wrong. There was very limited staff. The women who checked us in acted like we were bother her. We were 15 minutes early and were told to come back @4pm. When we returned a few minutes later there was a long line. When we got to our room it didn’t have any soap at the sinks. And the place didn’t look vacuumed. Later when using the shower there was hair found in shower that was not ours. And a used bath towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. On our second day, there was no room service given. So we went to the office to at least get fresh towels. The same rude front desk woman said she would get us towels when they came out of the dryer. We waited a little while then went to dinner. When we arrived still no towels. So we went to the front desk and found a family looking for an employee to check in with. There was no one around. Finally the rude woman appeared and checked in the family. Then disappeared into the back office for a while. When she finally returned to the front desk and I asked about the towels she pointed to a bag on the desk and said those are your towels, you weren’t in your room when I brought them. The hallway had bags and towels thrown down the hallway for 2 days. I even questioned if we actually had fresh sheets. The bathroom air vent in the ceiling was loud when in use. As well as the heater. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a hotel. Best Western is forever of my list. If I could have given less than one star, I would’ve

The gal at check in( didn't catch name but she was rocking purple hair/ and she drives a jeep) was super nice and helpful.. I didn't go through lobby again..used other door to go in and out.. and left key cards/ tip in room.. the only one complaint I had (no ones fault is that wifi service was terrible/ signal on then lost constantly) I didnt use other amenities or have breakfast there but all good.

The weekday breakfast did not have eggs or sausage.
The rooms were quiet and comfortable. I was so busy, I never turned on the TV, so can't comment on that. The indoor pool area was clean, although I didnt have a chance to use that either.

The staff was good. We had an issue with not having hot water to take showers in our room/rooms. The hotel was unable to move us to a room/rooms with hot water, so the manager said they would issue a refund for our two rooms. It has been a week with many calls, and the manager is not responding. Not sure how this business is run, but the manager should be looked upon as they are not running an honest representation of Best Western at Lake George!

The person that checked me in I don't think said more that 2 words. The base of the toilet needed to wiped down. There were white chips all over the carpet in the closet. I walked back to the reception desk which was a long walk as the phone wasn't plugged. His comment was some of the phones need to be fixed. I did finally find the cord to the phone on the phone behind the bed. One thing that really bothers me that may be trivial but the clock was blinking and after a long tiring day no one wants to figure out how to reset a digital clock

The room was clean and the heat worked. Some of the stuff looked like it needed to be dusted but everything else was very clean. Breakfast was good even though we got down there late. Plenty of options. We didn’t realize there was an indoor pool with a hot tub and an outdoor pool, so we didn’t bring our bathing suits. Our mistake. I’m sure it’s posted. My husband went and checked the hot tub at the time it would open and he said it was not hot. So I don’t know if that’s normal or not. Something I would ask at check in. Our key cards stopped working the following morning. But they were quick to fix it.

The hotel itself was maintained well. The rooms were clean when we entered them, but the maid service was horrible and the safe that was offered to us in the room was broken and they were supposed to come and fix the locks and they only did in one of our rooms ignored the other room. Beds were not made service was not there not enough towels in the room extra charge for the two extra people I had in my room which I paid one towel for four people had to go to the desk constantly to get towels cause the rooms were not cleaned in the morning so there were no towels left behind. We stayed three nights. I’ve stayed at this hotel often throughout the years many times and I understand management had changed through the years, but never experience this bad service not caring in the hotel. And under the best Western name, it’s a crime because I’ve stated plenty of best westerns through the years and they’ve all been excellent in service and in cleanliness. In addition on the last day, one one of the rooms we were locked out of at 8 o’clock in the morning when we went to go get a cup of coffee when checkout is 11 o’clock. In addition to when I was checking out, I almost felt like I was being mocked by the rep at the desk.

I stay at the best western in lake george whenever I visit the area for a short visit. It is very conveniently located immediately off interstate exit 21.. My hair salon is a 5 min drive. On my last visit, I decided that I wanted to go
\"Out on the town\".. so i googled area nightspots and decided on a place on canada street. I was walking solo and it was a quick easy walk there. I even saw thursday night fireworks on the way. I walked back to the hotel later.. area felt very safe. My room was clean and comfortable. After I checked out the following am, I was allowed to relax poolside until I was ready to leave. And I LOVE the outdoor pool... my favorite hotel amenity... The staff( at desk) pleasant and efficient..( and checked my room first to ensure that it wasnt otherwise occupied.

Some of the staff at night time was not really helpful however the morning staff was very helpful. I really loved the view from the outdoor pool. I loved that they had both indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool also had a small hot tub. They were both opened from 10am-10pm. The lake is literally less than 5 mins away by car. There are some attraction in walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was okay. As good as any continental breakfast can get. I guess that depends on your palate. Rooms could have been more thoroughly cleaned. I found I couldn’t stop sneezing because there was a lot of areas not dusted. The toilet could’ve also used a good scrubbing. Overall I’d say I’d come back but inspect the room as soon as I arrive and request and thorough cleaning if needed. It was really nice and quiet at least where our room was on the first floor on the left of the building. They have complimentary coffee and tea in the main lobby available at all times. Also, a microwave available in the same area.

Best Western Lake George was a very good experience. It was very clean, the pools were well maintained and the dining area was clean and well stocked with food.
When we checked in there was no desk chair and I had an important zoom meeting. Amanda allowed me to go in the dining area to prepare for the meeting and the next day she had a chair brought to the room for me.
There was no phone cord so I had to walk to the front desk.
The rugs were clean but the hallway rugs are HIDEOUS and need updating.
Amando and the rest of the staff were all outstanding, accommodating and friendly.

The front desk service was terrible. There was no smile or warm welcome when I arrived. I stepped in at 3:40 PM to check in, but the front desk lady was rude and told me check-in starts at 4:00 PM. I asked if the room was ready, and she said yes—but I could only check in at 4:00 PM unless I paid a $50 early check-in fee.

There were many senior citizens waiting as well, but she didn’t accommodate them either. At 4:00 PM, I was first in line, yet it still took about 30 minutes to check in. There were at least 20 families in line, and if each took 10 minutes, the total check-in process could easily exceed two hours.

When I entered the room, I immediately noticed a foul smell, like rotten eggs. The bathroom was outdated and very small. The TV was old and tiny. The indoor pool was dirty with slimy water, although the outdoor pool was thankfully clean.

The only positive part of my stay was the housekeeping lady—she was helpful and always smiling. Unfortunately, I had to deal with the same rude front desk lady again during checkout, and her attitude hadn’t improved.

I paid nearly $200 per night, and for that price, I expected much better service. I will not be returning.

I stayed 4 nights and they told me to leave the hanger out to have my room cleaned and I did this everyday and no one cleaned my room at all for the amount of money I paid for 4 nights I had to go get my own towels from the front desk.. Bathroom door only stayed opened with the garbage can.. I reserved four rooms because my extended family and I were in town for a funeral. In one of the rooms there was a Vodka bottle in the garbage and unopened food under the head of the bed. My room had mold in the bathroom. The breakfast was suppose to go until 10am, but on both days they stopped putting out food shortly after 9am. The lady that worked in the breakfast area made a point to say very loudly to everyone in the food area that she was not putting anymore food out. Checkout is at 11am, however all ofnthe key cards stopped working in the morning, so after breakfast (around 9 am) we all were locked out of our rooms and had to go to the front desk. The outside pool area was very nice. The location is good amd the area felt safe.

Also, we were in 3 people and there was only 2 sets of towels. I asked one more, I have to wait more than one hour to receive the towel. The same happened to the microwave I required.

The rooms are double beds, not queens. Room smelled like must and dampness. Breakfast room was over crowded. Breakfast staff was a trying to be funny but came off rude when I asked for something, and it was on the counter I just didn’t see it. Breakfast staff had a hard time keeping food stocked.

My week stay was wondeful.thefree continental breakfast is tops. My granddaughter enjoyed the make it yourself waffles. The indoor pool and hot tub and outdoor pool is clean and the staff is very pleasant.

The staff was very nice but it took 25 minutes to check in. We also did not receive room service even though we stayed at the hotel for four nights. It seems like the hotel is very understaffed.
