The only downsides were a fair amount of noise from other guests with students running around much of the night screaming and banging on doors - all the rooms around us were disturbed. The final issue was a lack of mold removal in the showers - lots of black mold growing.

The rooms are a very good size with two double beds. Large bathroom and all the facilities you would expect. The grounds of the hotel are very well kept and it is a very relaxing quiet place. The breakfast was good with a large choice of hot and cold food. I had a very good stay and would certainly go back if i was in JNB.

This is a lovely hotel. It is spoilt by inefficient front desk staff and ageing room equipment. Windows are very dirty, Aircon was faulty, our booking was messed up, pool was green, cistern water was hot water, service at breakfast very poor. On the up side, the staff were generally very friendly and chatty when spoken to. It's expensive, but has a charm and there are not many country hotels in JHB north!

It was a business trip. The hotel is mainly a place for conferences. It has nice grounds and a nice relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast and two very nice restaurants (especially the buffet dinner). The only downside is WIFI connectivity is very poor and it was non existent in my room. If you have mobile data everything else is fine.

Room was comfortable. The bar ran out of most basic drinks due to overcrowding. The shower in the bathroom had lots of mold. That was not good. The dining room roof was leaking and the floor was wet due to rain. The hotel is over crowded and thus makes management an issue.

I stayed here for 13 nights. It was close to my meetings. At check-in they couldn't find my reservation through \"Hotels.com\" and even chastised me for using this service. I had to email my confirmation to the reservation desk a few times before finally getting a room. \"Madame, This site you used is very, very bad. Don't do it again!\" I said, \"OK.\" I needed a room so I didn't argue. I ordered room service and placed my dishes on top of the safe near the door. The next morning I left and that evening I came back to the same dishes. I told the front desk about the plate and they laughed.The wifi didn't reach or was spotty at best. I ordered room service and my pasta dish was made with cheddar--disgusting. Ordering food is a risk so I didn't complain. 20 min later someone ate the whole thing and left the plate--You're welcome!

The Indaba Experience
Reception service was rather poor and we were charged business/conference service and other facilities which we'd never used. Though the rooms are rather spacious, they are rather noisy from customers who checked in late and at or customers who were leaving in the early morning hours, hence not a restful place.

Excellent Facilities, service and clean rooms. Temporary roadworks on main road outside the Hotel caused a slight delay in travelling to the Hotel but once completed will be a great improvement.

We planned a whole birthday weekend celebration and to my surprise the hotel even arranged a beautiful basket with goodies to eat and sparkling wine with a birthday card which was in our room on arrival. The beds were really comfy and the room really spacious with flat screen tv and beautiful furniture. We will definitely be back!

The Indaba is secure motel concept with great service in a \"garden\" setting. The two swimming pools are well appointed , well served and clean.There are two restaurants including the Chiefs Boma which makes and serves great African cusine - t's a fun place too.The conference facilities look great although our visit was not a conference. Right now the hotel is surrounded by busy road developments but without them is 5 minutes from the city ring road and 20 minutes into Sandton and the Gautrain connection.

Wait a year before coming here
The Indaba has been one of my favorite hotels in the past for both conventions and for an overnight stay. The current construction around the Indaba makes it quite difficult to get in and out of the property. The room was nice, except in the morning when I went to take a shower and the shower head fell off as water was pouring on to the floor. Because of the early checkout time (10 AM) I was unable to resolve that issue and made it to my next destination without a shower. When I mentioned it to reception, they said thank you for telling us, but nothing else. The bright spot of our stay at the Indaba is the breakfast and the wait staff who cater to your every need.
