Terrible, lots of noise, nobody, nobody saids good morning, the buffet is the worst service of all punta cana resorts. The employees are the worst. Low life employees. You order drinks yhey come 40 minutes later. Not a napkin on the table... And the host at the door, no smile, the recieving was unreal.. Bad training, no discipline. Very disorganized and almost all employees ignores you like you weren't there. A disaster.

Our experience was AMAZING at this all-inclusive resort! The resort was beautiful & very well kept, the staff were all friendly & super helpful, there were plenty of pools to enjoy with swim up bars, they had a adventurous lazy river, the food was incredible with multiple restaurants & cultural foods to experience and the vibe of the whole resort was energetic with several bars & a nightclub to mingle over a drink! I would especially like to thank Miguel Garrido for making our experience at Ocean El Faro/Beso so smooth & fantastic!!! From the moment we stepped foot on the resort he was there to guide, assist, be available to any and all needs! We did not even need to worry about details - he took care of everything for us! If you ever visit this resort - definitely ask for Miguel (Mano) Garrido!!! FANTASTIC overall experience!!!

Wonderful resort with many options for meals. We didn’t do any nightlife fun so don’t know how that was but we had so much fun in the many pools, the beach and pool bars. Helpful staff were everywhere and were always happy to help. Planning a trip back soon!

The bedsheets were stained, the jacuzzi in the bathroom were super dirty we did not use it. The service was not that great and the food was horrible it practically would go right through you. They did not have a lot of variety in the buffet and everything would finish quick. They denied my partner for wearing a sleeveless t shirts but allowed females wearing the same thing to enter if not even more revealing. Limited bartenders the wait for a drink would sometime surpass 15minutes, other thank Michael Jackson show the entertainment was terrible, the main buffet had upwards to about 2 main course food choices the privileged side had AC but the main area didn’t. I will never come back to Ocean El Faro even if it was completely FREE.

Its a small resort. We were sick 2 days out of the 4 days we were there. Not a lot of options of food and the restaurants we wanted to go to were closed most days. Rooms are old and dirty. The shower door wouldn't completely close so every time we showered, the bathroom would flood. Mike's is the only place that had my decaf coffee (wonderful little coffee/pastry shop) that was the highlight of our stay. Looking forward to our morning and evening coffee. The lady that cleaned our room was amazing and very attentive to our needs. Other then that I will not be returning. Please look at The Serenade before booking this spot. We went there last year and it did not disappoint.

Me and my wife came here for our honeymoon and overall it was a good experience. We did have an issue with the cleanliness when we first arrived. Our couch in our room was soaking wet and covered with stains, it took some time but they were able to assist us and switch our rooms. Other than that the daily buffet wasn’t that good but the restaurants were decent. I will say it is not technically all inclusive, if you want certain foods at dinner there is a pretty huge upcharge for certain items. Don’t come expecting to buy things on the resort for normal prices the sunscreen alone was $35. One more thing that I didn’t really like was they let vendors onto the resort who pretty much harassed us the whole way to our dinner reservation to come buy stuff from them. The views were stunning and the resort itself was gorgeous. The staff was extremely friendly though and mostly helpful. I’d like to give a huge shoutout to our concierge Miguel Garrido who was on point! Everyday he would check in and make sure our dinner reservations were booked and our schedules were all perfect!

The activities suit all age. The food was okay, the buffet was very good with a lot of variety. However the à la carte restaurants need some improvements to do. The room was very clean. Although there is a no smoke rule, there are outside areas where people could smoke and the smell somehow got inside my room (not always) but it did happen.
Overall, the beach and pool were great. My family had a very relaxing time.

Es la 2da vez que nos hospedamos en Ocean El Faro. Es un hotel tranquilo y familiar. El paquete Todo Incluido muy bien, calidad y precio. Tienes amenidades para todos. Disfrutamos en la playa, la piscina, el lazy river, la Bolera, los Show en el Teatro, el Sport bar y la Discoteca entre otros.
El menu de su Restaurante Buffet muy variado. Cada noche degustamos en sus Restaurante Temático Sakura, Dolce Vita y Steak House. Agradecemos a Miguel Guerrido por coordinar las reservas a los restaurantes y hacer de nuestras estancia una placentera. Agradezco al personal que tuvo el detalle de cantarle cumpleaños a mi esposo y mi hija.

Pool was closed for a while day, you could totally tell pool wasn’t very clean. They were fixing tiles on it every night and scraping away at it. Buffet was closed two nights in one week because hotel did not have more than 1400 people. Did not like the food in à la carte restaurants. Buffet food the SAME every single day it remained open to a point of us getting bored of the same thing and not that much variety. Buffet restaurant staff wouldn’t come to your table to serve water or drinks unless you waited and called them to the table and mind you we were tipping every time we sat at a restaurant. Everything closes at 11:00pm except the disco, so if you are not a disco person that’s it the night was over because absolutely everything is shut down at that time.
The coffee place was excellent aswell as the shows. Air conditioning at restaurants and lobby which is a plus compared to some other resorts.

This place is really nice but big! If you have kids bring strollers and be prepared to walk a lot.
The food was good, we loved Skura restaurant the best, thank you to our butler Franklin for getting us reservations and helping us with our needs at the resort.
The buffet has a lot of good options too. We were there 4 days and didn't get bored of the food.
The room was clean and beds were comfortable, I will says the bathroom wasn't our favorite. It's remodeled but poorly done. The shower door doesn't close properly or stay closed. Toilet is a floating toilet and made nose everytime you sat on it. Bathtub faucet was so hard to use with washing little kids, should have added a spray head handle. Anyway this is minor, the beach is nice and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay

The pool and water park was very enjoyable. The rooms were clean. The staff were okay. Some were welcoming and greeted us. Some just ignored us when passing by. The food was great. Our favorite was the japanese hibachi restaurant. Maybe better pool maintenance. My one year old caught a fever on our last day there and now has hands, foot, mouth virus and my teenager caught pink eye with a fever. Overall it was a good experience.

Our stay at this hotel in Punta Cana was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The food was delicious with plenty of options, and the amenities were excellent. The beach and pool areas were stunning and made the whole experience even more relaxing. We truly enjoyed every moment and would definitely return. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Punta Cana!

A great property where you can tailor your experience. Each night we could walk around and there was always a lot going on, with different parties/activities and different vibes depending on what you want.
I was very satisfied with the food options, from the main buffet breakfast to privilege lounge dinner service. Drinks are good quality too.
The lagoon was perfect for swimming, soft sand & gentle waves. The main beach is too rocky & rough to swim but the lagoon makes up for it.
We never had problems finding chairs on the beach, and the el beso pool was a great option during the daytime too.
Staff were all awesome and added to the overall experience.

Minor drawback in the standard junior suites, ours smelled a bit damp upon arrival, and we didn’t feel the bathtub was clean enough to use if we had wanted to do so. The bed was comfortable, the room and balcony are very spacious.

We will likely return in the future, in upgraded room.

Everything was a 10/10. The staff made my family feel like we were at home and treated us so well. There's no other place we'd rather stay at. This experience was one for the books and we can't wait to return. Jose Jimenez was taking care of all our needs for the whole stay and did wonderfully. Whatever we needed was provided for us in a timely manner. The food was great and so were all the amenities. When it rained it leaked all over the place the lobby , gym, bar, everywhere.The only thing this place has is Miguel Garrido. He was amazing and tried to make our stay better. Servers at El Faro restaurant were great! Also bartenders by pool area great service and friendly. The grounds are well kept and I loved walking around. At the buffet it was hit and miss with servers at least as regular customers once we became privileged service was fast and attentive. Our butler greeted us and took is to our room when we arrived however experience after that was not great. Didn’t follow up on restaurant reservations, didn’t ask how everything was. And the day of my departure he sent a message at 11 am once I was already at the airport.
Beds were comfy and room overall were good.
Maintenance was happening on the roof which made it loud and hard to rest.

Pool: loosing tiles, multiple children and adults with cuts on feet due to this issue.
Room: Dirty upon arrival, like it hadn’t been swept at all. Cleaned tables and remote due to traveling so the children and rag was black due to dirt. AC stopped working several times randomly for hours long spurts. Turning room into sauna.
Staff: 4-5 out of 100s of staff actually acted like they wanted to be there. No one was outwardly helpful or made our stay more enjoyable. Essentially acted inconveniences just to order a drink at the coffee shop of main pool bar.
Food: Bland and the same all week long. If you’re not on the app at 8am sharp, you can not get reservations.
Noticed that if you didn’t book “privilege” you received no help.
The sellers on market night are rude and pushy… not sure why the resort would want their guests harassed. We had to completely avoid walking down the main walkway the nights they were there.
The ocean in front of the hotel is not swim-able! Double red flags and rocks. The area that is swim-able is accessible on the adults only side of the resort. When we tried to find shade there for out two small children we were yelled at July security and told we had to move very aggressively.
We will not be returning and would not recommend.
I would have told the front desk the issues we had, but upon check out, no one even asked how our stay was.

The attention is received at Ocean El Faro was phenomenal. Great place for a family vacation. So many activities. Staff is wonderful. A Week at Ocean El Faro and had a really enjoyable all-inclusive experience overall.
The resort is beautiful, modern, and very large, with lots to explore. The lighthouse area stands out and gives it a unique feel. Be ready to walk a fair bit, though there are carts to help get around.
Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Housekeeping was consistent, and kept the minibar stocked. There were a few minor signs of wear, but nothing that affected our stay.
Food worked especially well for our family. Our kids actually preferred the buffet because they could choose exactly what they wanted, which made meals easy and stress-free. There was plenty of variety, and the dessert section was a highlight for them every day.
The pools and beach were great, with options for both lively and relaxing vibes. The lazy river was a fun bonus. The beach was ok for the location with some occasional seaweed that staff did manage. Drawback: rocks all around so I would recommend watershoes. Go out in water directly infront of light house seemed to have less. There was always something happening, from daytime activities to evening shows, which were fun and well done. Staff were friendly overall, though service could vary at times. And slower during busy periods. (not a deal breaker) It’s not ultra-luxury, but it offers solid value.
Overall, a great family resort with plenty to do and a relaxed atmosphere. My family created some amazing memories here and the price was right.

Traveled with my wife and 2 kids (12 and 7) on their spring break. . Easy check in and check out. Property had a nice layout and was easy to get around by foot. Buffet service as expected (omelette station, fruits). Was hoping for more local cuisine. Restaurants were hit or miss (japanese, italian, american). Fitness center had enough space and adequate equipment, Was never too crowded. Pools were always crowded. Lazy river was great for the kids. We mostly spent our days at the beach. On the side of the main beach was a lagoon where the waves were calm and the water was clear and warm. Not sure if it’s officially part of the property, but everyone went there for a dip. Nightly shows were entertaining (fire show, acrobats, Michael Jackson tribute).
Shout out to Luis and Domingo at the beach bar. Also shout out to our concierge, Jose Miguel Jimenez took excellent care of all of our needs (dinner reservations, hotel room needs, luggage checkout), even on his day off. Was very convenient staying connected with him throughout our stay and he made sure all of our needs were being satisfied.

The air conditioning only worked one day in my room, in my mother's room they had to change it because the air was damaged. They need more staff in the restaurants because they don't come to serve you or they arrive late since they don't give enough. The host only made us a management then he forgot everything. The food was very good, and the cleanliness.

For the price this property was good. The ocean is horrible and you cannot swim in it. The cove is nice but I am EXTREMELY disappointed there is no seating right next to it in the hotel . In fact it is infuriating “privileged” sits in a location that families cannot access so your towels and personal items are in the sand to enjoy a swim in this area. Property was clean , rooms are nice but out dated and workmanship for repairs horrible . Air conditioner did not work properly. It is definitely a pool vacation unless you stay at beso adult only privileged .

I had a great stay with my family from April 12-17, 2026. Resort is beautiful and kept very clean. Staff on property were very friendly and very accommodating to children. There is lots to do on the resort itself, both for kids and adults. Beach is nice and my kids loved the different pools, especially the water park. One gripe is that many guests reserved the pool chairs with towels/belongings so it was hard at times to find vacant pool chairs. The night shows are entertaining - only con is that shows usually didn’t start until 9:30 which was very late for the younger kiddos. Lots of choices for restaurants but the food is subpar, particularly the buffet. Enjoyed the coffee shop but very long line in the morning.
Overall, we had a great stay!

And Director Werlyn was my absolute favorite. I felt like he kept the property safe and sound.

Jose was reallly helpful and got our reservations ready for every night and whatever we needed.
Only thing that didn’t make sense was chafing extra for the breakfast room service but other than that everything was great

We had major room issues, bathroom door would not shut, and when we let staff know they dismissed us, never sent anyone to fix it. Room was also damp and there was rust all over fixtures. After three days of complaining, they finally moved us and then the next morning we woke to water coming down from fixtures, my bed was soaking, water all over the floor and coffee table. Told the front desk and they just said ok.

We went to Ocean El Faro from March 17-24, two couples with two teenage boys each.
Before going, we read several reviews complaining about all sorts of things, but rest assured if you are considering going, these are NOT to be taken with any weight at all. Our entire experience exceeded expectations, from the grounds to the facilities to the staff and the service - it was all great! The food may not be five star every bite, but it’s not far off. The buffet is amazing with tons of variety and the a la carte restaurants were each a fun and delightful experience. The pools are awesome, the service at the bars was great, the beach was clean and not rocky other than in front of the el Beso side, the lazy river and bowling alley and night time shows were fabulous. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfy. It was all good!!

The highlight for us was our concierge Miguel Garrido. This gentleman took impeccable care of us from the moment we arrived. He helped us with dinner reservations every night, including a special birthday surprise, he made sure we had everything we needed each day, ensured our rooms were stocked and made us feel at home and attended to from start to finish. A huge 10/10 for you Miguel - gracias amigo!!!

Highly recommend this place. Hands down.

It is a great resort for families. The service in all parts of the resort was amazing and all the staff were great.
The best part was meeting Franklin. He greeted us in our first day and when i told him we are a larger group and each family in the group is arriving at different time of the day, he took the initiative to use the last names and find us. Then he started a chat group for the larger family. And using the chat group he helped us with all arrangements we needed through out our stay. It just made our stay so much more comfortable.

Our experience at Ocean El Faro was absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed. Our concierge Franklin was amazing. The pool was amazing and food was great.

Room was clean and spacious. The food was ok but the buffet was desorganized, most of the times there where no plates, no spoons or even napkins. Waiters took a lot of time to serve water and any other drinks. Some of the waiter where not attentive, except for the staff of the jelly playhouse and the entertainment staff they where great, my kids love participating in their activities.
