Perfect location, clean apartment with all the amenities - there was nothing we needed that wasn’t already in the room. Housekeeping was thorough - the other guests were all lovely, too! The pool was freezing but the ocean was just a few minutes away.

Cute place - the ground floor room though meant we couldnt have the curtains open much as you could see into the room.

Neither TV's worked properly and one of the windows didnt lock properly. The bedroom door wouldnt shut as the night stand was too wide. Not a great deal near the hotel at night

The room was reasonably clean. The amenities were OK, (The coffee packets were terrible.)
While the manager came to the door when I rang mid-day upon arrival, he didn't speak much English, so we had a bit of trouble communicating, and he seemed grouchy. But he did persuade me to a good room, even though it was on the second floor. Except when I asked about heat, the managing staff were completely invisible.

The parking cost $10 per day, but was very convenient and safe.

Problems: The were no instructions. I couldn't manage to access broadcast news. My message to the management was never answered.
The A/C units have a \"Mode\" function that is a mystery,. And there is no way to get heat in the apartment (even though temperatures while I was there were in the 40s at night. (When I asked, the staff brought a space heater.)

We would recommend Soleado. It's perfect for two ppl. The rooms were very clean and spacious. It is a 4 minute walk to the beach. 2 beach chairs and 4 beach towels were provided. There are restaurants within walking distance. Pool area is lovely. The only negatives for us were that you could not flush toilet paper in the toilet - it had to go in a waste can; the other was that while housekeeping did make the bed, take trash and handle towel service every day, nothing else was done (sweeping, wiping up in bathroom, replenish shampoo, soap, etc.

Clean room, quiet area but close to the action. Love all the local shops and beach access. Walls are then and they now charge for parking. It’s a bit longer of a walk to the main areas but it’s doable. I’d give a 5-star if it were closer to the main area and I would definitely stay here again. This was my 2nd time at this hotel.

Also, he charged daily for parking and wanted to be paid in cash. I thought that was a little sketchy and would not give me a receipt. Fabulous coffee shop right in the corner.

Soleado Hotel is quiet, well located and has friendly staff.
The room was clean and adequate for our needs. The master bed wasn’t comfortable at all and the pullout mattress had zero support and was extremely uncomfortable.
The kitchen was basic, but served our needs well.

The location is excellent, the beach chairs, umbrella and towels were a nice touch, the beach is a short walk away.

The pool was nice and had comfortable lounge chairs, there are tables and chairs around the pool.

The price for our stay was a great deal and over all the property is good value, I do think they need to improve the quality and comfort of the beds.

This place was fantastic! It was spacious, clean and quiet. Only a few minute walk to the beach. There was beach towels, an umbrella and beach chairs in the room. We stayed for a week and we were comfortable the entire time. The fully equipped kitchen was convenient also.

Such a cute property. Our \"room\" was a nice size living room a totally separate kitchen area with a full size fridge, dining table, two burner stove top and microwave. It also came with utensils/plates/cups, etc. A little welcome package with cookies/cofffee/chips and two bottles of water were also left for us upon arrival.

Location is one block to the beach...GREAT location.

Communication for check in was via email...and very detailed.

Would HIGHLY recommend this location.

I had a wonderful time here! The staff were very helpful and pleasant, the pool area was clean, and my room was really nice. These are apartment hotels, so don’t expect a 24 hr front desk or lobby, but I was very happy with my experience and would go back next time! I had the studio room, which was a great temperature, and included a fridge, coffee maker, microwave and kettle. The location is what makes it a 10/10, they provide you with beach towels and chairs, and I could walk to the beach in 10 minutes. For the price, you can’t beat it!

The location is the most attractive thing about this place. The bedroom AC unit was so noisy that we couldn’t use it at night. The coffee machine had no filters and stopped working after one day. The manager was not easy to deal with and complained when we hung some wet shirts on the railing to dry, telling me that the city prohibited this, which is ridiculous.

Also note that parking is an additional $10/day.

We did love the location as there were many dining options close by as well as the beach.

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Would Not Recommend

I truly wish we could at least get a refund for this stay. We booked the unit based on photos showing a bright space with a beautiful pool view. In reality, we were placed in a dark unit tucked at the far end with absolutely no view—completely different from what was advertised. It felt more like a neglected apartment than a vacation rental.

The issues didn’t stop there. Upon arrival, the bathroom reeked of harsh cleaning chemicals. Once that wore off, an unbearable sewer smell took over—and because the bathroom opened directly into the bedroom, the odor lingered constantly, making the space feel unclean and uncomfortable.

Both the bedroom and living room had air conditioning units, but they were so loud that we decided to turn them off completely. It was impossible to relax or sleep with them running.

To make matters worse, we had no internet for three full days. When we finally reached the manager, they called someone to fix it—but by then, the vacation was nearly over.

The unit also had mosquitoes—I left with multiple itchy bites—and whatever detergent they used on the sheets irritated my skin from the very first night.

I have several photos documenting all of this and would be happy to share them.

Overall, the unit felt neither safe nor healthy. The listing photos are misleading, the conditions are poor, and the experience was truly miserable.

A spacious 1 bed-room apartment hotel with a full kitchen. Perfect for a family. 2 blocks from the beach. We borrowed beach chairs, towels and a parasol for the beach. We cooked breakfast and lunch in the room, and could save. A 25-min walk along the beach to a Publix Supermarket for food and groceries. Hotel office hour is limited but the manager will reply quickly by phone. She gave us a code key so that we could check in at 2 am in the morning. $20 on Uber from the airport even without a rent-a-car.

I must admit I am quite disappointed in our stay. When we first got there, our toilet wouldn’t flush without us having to remove the lid and manually do it. We notified the property and they stated they’d look into it, but they did not. The 2nd night, we came home and the toilet was leaking and we had water into our bedroom, which got all of our stuff wet. We tried calling and knocking on the managements door to assist, but could not get ahold of them. We cleaned it up ourselves and had to turn the water off. The next day it took until noon before we could get someone to come look at the toilet and fix it. In addition, we did not have hot water, which we also told them the first time, and that never was looked at, so cold showers all weekend. To make things right, we simply asked for a reimbursement for 1 night, thinking we were being fair. It’s now been over two weeks and we still have not received anything and when I just called, I was told the manager is on vacation. To put it nicely, I’m extremely disappointed in this place and it is definitely not worth the money. I’d recommend passing on this one!

We had a great time at Soleado! Properly was clean, rooms extremely clean and house keeping came to refresh towels and take out trash daily. Staff very friendly and accommodating. They let us check in early and stay a little later. Only issues was the internet connection, we never had good connection. And with it being a smaller property, a whole extended family took over the whole pool area almost all weekend, stayed there literally all weekend, wasn’t any room for any other guests. Maybe a time limit would help ensure other guests got to use the pool area as well. Other than that we loved it! And will be back!

This was our second stay at soleado hotel. Our first experience there was much better. I doubt we will book Soleado again.

There was quite a bit of mold in the bathroom on the ceilings and along the floor.
It was cool that when we came back to the room from our day, our beds were made and the place was tidy. That seems to be a lost practice so it was nice!

This hotel is NOTHING like the photos I viewed on Expedia. I am aware that the actual property can be little bit different from the listed photos but what I mean here is NOTHING like the photos. The room we got had really bad smell (like damp and unventilated room smell) and no sunlight was getting in despite few windows. Needlessly saying the room did not look anything like the photos either. Pool area was very grubby and there was a lady doing painting around the pool area while someone was sunbathing. Email communication or messaging via Expedia was non existing as we got no replies prior to arrival. The guy at the reception was unfriendly, unhelpful and almost rude. Obviously there is no non-smoking policy in this property as he had a lit cigarette in his mouth. It was an absolute horror and we actually walked out and booked into a different hotel. No refund given from this hotel. I personally advise to avoid this one.

We had a great stay at Soleado for 4 nights.

Check in was easy. The grounds were so clean and well-maintained. It had old beach charm, but updated and clean.

Our room was great - a 1bdrm upstairs with a cute kitchenette and table, a nice large sofa bed and 2 chairs, a desk… and the bedroom had a king bed, tv, nice shower in the bathroom, and we loved the beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels provided.

Both AC units worked well also, which is always a plus in south FL. There was one in the living room and one in the bedroom.

We would definitely stay here again! Great value. Also the housekeeping folks were great.

Our only negative was that the TVs weren’t smart TVs. So many places usually have smart TVs that we just assumed we’d be able to log into our Netflix to binge our shows in the evening. I’d suggest maybe getting each apartment a $25 Amazon Fire Stick so the existing TVs can be “smart.” Our only suggestion! We loved Soleado.

The location was nice and convenient. We liked the smaller size of the property. We really wanted to like the place and were looking forward to our stay. But, at check in we were assigned a different room from what was stated in the confirmation email. We got room one hundred seven, which is likely the worst room of the property and nothing at all like the pictures in the listing. It’s on the ground floor with the entrance inside a small passage so it was dark inside and all windows faced walls. Room also felt damp at all times even though we had the AC running. Towels were not changed by room cleaning. The entry door faces the neighbors very loud AC unit. Pool was freezing cold. Parking is $10 a day. If you get a room on the upper floor it may be nice but ours was just disappointing.
