A trustworthy and consistently good place

As usually here this was another faultless stay, for business purposes. One can see that this hotel never stopped working during the pandemic and really knows what it’s doing. Clean, functioning rooms with proper toiletries including extras; lovely views; helpful and efficient staff; and a great breakfast spread in a light-filled room.

One of the few hotels where I never have anything to remark negatively about.

We had an extended weekend stay with my wife here to explore Iasi. As usual this is a beautiful hotel and a very well-oiled machine in terms of staff kindness, responsiveness and all things working as they should.

The checkin was easy and we got a room higher up, for a truly stunning view over Iasi and the environs. The room was generous, with TV, desk, lounge chairs and table, fast wifi, large bed, hair dryer, and many small touches such as toiletries etc. Everything functioned well and right. The Hotels.com checkin gift was also honored.

We took advantage of a very good breakfast (strong on warm options including meat and veg omelettes, machine-pancakes) salads and spreads, and of the Spa, which has a heated pool, gym and other spa services.

The entire experience was wonderful and I have no complaints. One can see the virtuous circle of a fully staffed, usually fully booked, hotel, knowing exactly how things are done well.

Also don’t miss their 13th floor restaurant. The view is fantastic, although you are very likely to pop into a wedding or conference dinner, so for more intimate settings look around. Downstairs there is also a coffee & pastry shop for a quick day-snack.

I would stay only here when I’m in Iasi. The hotel was beautiful, clean and safe. Breakfast, spa options and location were lovely. Walking distance to museums, churches, shops and restaurants; plenty to do and see. The tram is right in front of the hotel, so easy to travel around the city. Parking was easy to access to well and the hotel comps the ticket so it is free garage parking.

The room was nice and clean and the personnel was polite and friendly. Since we checked out really early in the morning, they even gave us a breakfast bag with very healthy food choices, like real yoghurt with no sugar and a delicious sandwich.
The AC was working well, the windows were blocking the outside noise making the room quiet and perfect for sleeping.
The only unusual part was having to insert the room card to turn the lights on, but this is a minor detail.
Overall, a very pleasant experience.

The hotel rooms are very aged and contrasting with the very modern hallway. The breakfast options are limited and there’s barely any fresh fruit or options for people with dietary requirements. The bathroom was very aged as well and the toilet brush was dirty and very visibly so. Everything is wrapped in plastic, even individual toilet rolls or glasses. The room was very stuffy and we had to figure out a way to get it to cool down whilst maintaining some sort of fresh air flow which was very difficult. The reception staff wasn’t very friendly or welcoming - they did their job and nothing more. The location is very good and whenever we needed something from housekeeping they were very fast in providing it to us which was nice. Overall still one of the best options in Iasi but either the pricing / star rating needs adjusting or the rooms / facilities need refreshing to account for the price and rating.

Soon after checking in, a hotel staff member came to our room with a nice bottle of wine and two glasses wishing me a ‘Happy Birthday’. That was a very nice surprise.

Dated hotel with comically rude staff

Great location but not much else to recommend it. Room wasn’t cleaned during our 4 night stay, we were informed on the last day we needed to put a sign outside before 11am if we wanted the room cleaned. Reception staff seemed angry to be bothered by any minor request and were rude, even by Romanian standards. My suit was taken to be dry-cleaned, returned uncleaned without explanation but they still tried to charge me on checkout and argued with me when I asked for it to be taken off the bill. Pool area is also pretty poor especially as it is used for childrens’ swimming lessons which go on all day meaning it’s noisy and half the already small pool is off limits.

Nice property albeit a bit passed its prime. Rooms clean but in need of updating…especially bathrooms and AC which was noisy. Gym and spa very nice…and a great pool and sauna area. Waited one hour for
Dinner to arrive at outdoor cafe: waiter forgot to pick up our order. Breakfast: very good variety but I have a problem with sliced white bread from a plastic bag when so many better options are available in Romania. Front desk staff friendly. Given the amenities available and location, would likely stay here again…but the hotel needs to upgrade to maintain its edge.

Otelin konumu güzel, personel güleryüzlü ve yardımsever, kahvaltı zengin, lobi temiz ve rahattı. Sadece konakladığımız oda konforu vasattı. Banyo eski tipte, oda mobilyaları aynı şekilde eski ve yatak en ufak bir hareketinizde garip sesler çıkaran bir yataktı. Keza klima yine günümüz teknolojisinden nasip almamış biraz yüksek devirde çalıştığında çok gürültü yapiyordu. Kısacası oda konforu dışında genel anlamda bir olumsuzluk olmadığı gibi memnuniyet verici.

The lady at the check in was very nice and welcoming, the stay per total was ok i guess, but the check out guy ,which i don't remember his name, wasn't so nice( he wasn't rude but he was looking like each time we approach him,disturbed) .

Best hotel in Iasi city centre

Whilst the overall condition of the hotel and its decor remain unchanged. The spa facilities are once again open to all hotel guests and the mini-bar has a modest collection of snacks and drinks which are now free - a rather nice touch.
Breakfast has a very good selection and the food from the restaurant is of an very good standard.
All in all, the best place to stay in the city centre of Iasi!

Nice hotel, room I stayed in was on the front, 11th floor, room fittings a little older but nice room , clean and tidy. Pool good, Breakfast great.
Only complaint - they had decided that the air conditioning was going to be off for the autumn - as told by reception staff, The weather was sunny and the room was like a furnace, I persuaded them to turn the air conn back on and all was good. Will stay there again.

Great hotel in the middle of Iasi

We had a wonderful stay in Iasi at the Unirea hotel. Unirea means Union and it is located right on Union (Moldova and Transylvania) Square, a great location. We took an all day walking tour of Iasi and learned quite a bit about the history of the city. Our room was quite comfortable and clean. Plenty of hot water. The room was not huge but adequate and the bathroom was very good. Plenty of hot water. We had a room on the 12th floor and it had a great view of the square and of the city. Our dinner in the hotel was very good and breakfast was OK. We were able to park right in the garage adjacent to the hotel.

It was our second stay in this hotel over the last 1 year. The location is amazing. The lobby is beautiful. Unfortunately the rest needs improvement. The carpets are a bit dated, the rooms are ok in size. The quality and the designing of shower need significant improvement. The shower screen is very small and bathroom is flooded with water after showering. The staff is very helpful. The brakfast is very good.

We were staying in the suite. It was nice and big but the bed not comfortable, the curtains didn’t make the room dark and the sun waked us up in the morning. All the furniture was old and partly broken.
Breakfast was very good the stuff there were very nice and helpful.
Front desk stuff was sometimes nice and helpful but some of them didn’t want to assist us in reservations, so it was disappointing.

Wonderful hotel! Great value for money. Very comfortable, nice room, clean and quiet. Delicious breakfast with large variety of goodies. We stayed there 4 nights and enjoyed every moment! Check out was very early in the morning before opening of the breakfast restaurant but they were very nice and packed for us a generous breakfast to go. The only Small remark that we have: a glass cracked in the bath and they charged 5 RON for it. Beside that.minor event it's a highly recommend hotel!

This hotel is very well located and has a very nice reception and breakfast area. There is a restaurant on the 13tg floor that offer great food and spectacular views.
The rooms are decent, have everything that you might want, but fall short of the standard of the restaurant or foyer.

Overall this is a pretty solid option for Iaşi. The room was extremely tidy, the bed linen was excellent and room servicing was prompt. The room has climate control which allows you to set the temperature + or - 5 degrees, but this may not be the kind air conditioning control you might be familiar with. It seemed to cope fairly well during my stay, but might struggle with extremes. The hotel has an open WiFi which is incredibly fast and I had no trouble accessing video or downloading or uploading files. Staff at the front desk were extremely polite and helpful and ensured I was able to access my room due to an overnight train and early arrival. Breakfast was fairly comprehensive, although when I visited the 'juice' was in low supply, alongside two full dispensers of 'nectar' - which is essentially sugary fruit flavoured water. But overall there were plenty of breakfast options. I tried the Panorama restaurant on the top floor of the hotel. There are plenty of nice restaurants in Iaşi. I can't say this is one of them. Staff weren't at all attentive and the food was hugely disappointing. But in summary - a fine hotel to stay in Iaşi with friendly, helpful staff and a great location.
