Excellent staff - but take your own kettle!

Villa Daphne was excellent with very helpful staff who all spoke good English. However, no tea/coffee making facilities in room so we took our own travel kettle and tea bags! Choice at breakfast good, but not the best we’ve had. Handy if you don’t want to hire a car, as only a matter of yards from the Recanati bus terminal, with connections to Taormina and beyond as well as the airport bus.

What an amazing hotel. Literally can't fault this place. It's everything you can ask for when looking for somewhere to stay. Probably our favourite hotel I've stayed in.

There are two free parking spaces outside the hotel but you have to be lucky to get them which fortunately we were lucky every time to get one.
Rooms are spacious, lovely bathroom. Very clean and also gets cleaned daily. There's a mini fridge with refreshments, (with a charge obviously) but it's reasonable. We had a street facing room with a balcony, but wasn't noisy at all.

Breakfast was nice with a wide range of choices.
And the pool area is nice and clean, although we didn't use the pool as we're beach people. You can sit outside too whenever if you want to have a drink during the day or evening and the bar also does food as well as drink.

The beach is not far at all, within walking distance of the hotel, maybe a 10-15 min walk and there are bars and restaurants along the way as well as small a supermarket too. The bus stop is a 10 second walk from the hotel, which is very easy to get the bus to Taormina and back, or wherever you'd like to go.

The staff are lovely and helpful, but I want to say a big thank you to Claudia on reception. What a genuine, lovely lady. Always smiling, always willing to help you and have a chat and give you advice and recommendations. Anything you need, ask Claudia, she is superb.

Perfect location near bus stop for transportation to Taormina. Parking was secure. Staff was wonderful, extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast included an extensive variety to choose from and included superb service; Nino made it especially fun. Cleanliness and service were excellent. Would definitely recommend.

The warmest welcome ever.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Villa Daphne. The staff are so welcoming and helpful, they couldn’t have done more for us. Special mention goes to Claudia on Reception, she really is a Ray of sunshine. We only had B&B so I can’t comment on meals apart from breakfast which was excellent. A really nice hot and cold buffet. Will definitely stay here again.

A fab small & friendly hotel, great location

One of the best small hotels that I have stayed at. The location was excellent, bus stop down the road to take you into Taormina and only a 15 min walk to local shops and restaurants. All of the staff were so helpful and friendly and made our stay so very enjoyable. Hotel was spotless and breakfast good and plentiful. Would love to do a return visit. Thank you to all of the fantastic hardworking staff.

Hotel Daphne appeal is its small size. This allows the staff to be more personal.
The receptionist Claudia was very helpful and welcoming.
One minor improvement for me would be bottles of water in the bedroom and tea/coffee making facility.

We have just returned from a 9 night stay and highly recommend Villa Daphne Hotel. We really enjoyed the breakfast and delicious pastries, relaxing and peaceful days by the pool and dinner at the hotel the last two nights. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff are a huge asset, with special thanks to Claudia, Azzura and Vincentzo.

The bus stop is 1 min walk from the hotel which is really handy for the airport (€5.90pp). You can also catch the bus to Taormina (€3 return pp) but we found it a bit unreliable. You need an FFP2 mask on the buses.

Check in was friendly and professional.
A cold welcome drink would have been nice.
Room was ground floor quiet
Wooden furniture needs revarnish.
And more Dusting.

We stayed at the Hotel Villa Daphne for 5 nights. The staff and owner couldn't do enough for you, they are always willing to help you in any way they can. The hotel is beautiful and in a very quiet location. Local shops are only at the bottom of the road, the beach and main town is a few minutes away. Hotel villa Daphne will not disappoint you in any way. We would like to thank all the staff, the owner and the people of Sicily for making our little holiday so good. Hope to be back soon.

Soooo many bugs in my room. Breakfast always tasted like it was a few days old. Staff pleasant but everyone at the front desk seemed to not be able to answer any of my questions. Overall I did not really enjoy my stay. But honestly other guests seemed to really like it so maybe I just had bad luck.

Vila Daphne in Giardini Naxos was an amazing hotel with an amazing staff. Antonella & Claudia were so helpful. I had emailed them several times with lots of questions before arriving to the hotel and they were prompt in returning the responses. It was super clean and the room and beds were very comfortable. It is very close to the Recanati bus stop which brings you to all the locations Including Taormina. All of the excursions we took, we were able to all get at that bus stop which is 50 m from the hotel. Very convenient. Piranata beach which is a private beach affiliated with the hotel is a 10 minute walk. I did an intensive search before I booked this hotel and trust me it is one of the best ones in the city. All the other ones looks run down and old. I would definitely come back there if I ever visit Giardini Naxos again.

The hotel is very close to the bus terminal (Recanati) in Giardini Naxos. It takes around 25-40+ min to Taormina Bus terminal. The bus service is every 15 min and costs 3 Euro round trip. So, it is very good base to visit Taormina and can avoid busy and touristic area and have more spaces. It is also close to the beach as well. However, the hotel is not located at Taormina and no views for the coast line from the heights.

Hote Villal Daphne is a rose among the thorns ,the hotel is immaculate in all areas ,lovely clean pool ,plenty of sunbeds( caution when using them though as we saw 7 guests fall quite badly as the beds overbalance ,i did report this to the hotel reception as some elderly guests were shaken up by the fall).We did not think the evening meal was very good value at €25 ,and should be much better ,the service was very odd too ,whatever time you sat down you didnt get your next coures untill everyone had finished their starters !!we only ate there once in 2 weeks and would advice against half board as other guests were complaining ,it is such a shame as the Hotel is perfect in every other way

Very well located hotel. 10 -20 minutes drive to Taormina (depending on traffic).
Right in the heart of Giardinni Naxos. Busses to Taorminia, Catania etc. by the hotel. Quite a few nice restaurants and two supermarkets within 3 to 5 minutes walk. Beach no more than 5 minutes away by foot.
Hotel itself is very nicely decorated, comfortable with a small but lovely pool.
Nice breakfast very kind and helpfull staff. Most of them fluent in English.
Kettle or Coffee Machine would be a welcomed addition to room amenities.

Superb and friendly.

The hotel is fantastic and what makes it really special is the service from the staff. Everybody is very friendly and welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable.

Our room was lovely and big and had a nice terrace balcony. Breakfast was buffet style and a good choice and the underground car park very secure.

Nothing was impossible for the staff and offered very clear and friendly advice.

It is also very nicely positioned in G Naxos with the bus stop to Taormina a simple €6 return journey away (20 min ride).

We didn't try the restaurant but that's because there is much local places to try but from what we saw their food looked great.

Highly recommend and would go back for sure.

Good family run hotel

It is a very clean and neat family run hotel. It was in a quiet location with easy access to beaches and transport links. The shower was excellent and the bed was comfortable. All rooms appeared to have their own balconies.
The swimming pool was good and never crowded . It was very deep one end about 2.5 metres.
We opted for half board which was a reasonable price but did find the evening meal menu was rather limited and repetitive. The starters were for example always soup, rice or pasta in varying flavours. The food was okay but not inspiring. There are numerous restaurants within a short walking distance. The buffet breakfast was okay.
There is a charge for parking it is in the basement and therefore cool. Parking on the road is chargeable.

Delightful Hotel Daphne

The Hotel Daphane is located in Giardini Naxos and just a few minutes from Taormina. It's much quieter than Taormina itself and the beach is only about one block away. The hotel is lovely and the staff couldn't be nicer. The A/C in my room wasn't working properly and they immediately switched us to a different room. The breakfast had quite a lot of assortment foods to choose from and everything we tried was delicious. The owner of the hotel came to meet us and gave us a hearty welcome. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Though not in Taormina centre, the hotel is very close to the bus terminal. It's easy to take a bus to go to those major spots in Taormina, Catania airport and Syracuse. Hotel room is spacious and comfy. Staff is helpful too.

This is a great hotel.

The hotel is in a good location, the restaurants in Recanati only a few minutes walk and the busy stop is even closer, with the local beaches nearby and the sandy beach in Giardini Naxos around 10 mins walk.
Every part of the hotel was in great condition, well presented and the room was very comfortable.

Well maintained hotel with very friendly and polite staff. Our room was very clean, of good size and comfortable. We went b&b so unable to comment on dinner, but continental breakfast was good. Very nice, quiet pool area probably more suited to adults than young children. We stayed in room with balcony overlooking road which was fairly busy, but compensated with views of Mount Etna and Taormina. Hotel within easy reach of many restaurants/bars and close to bus stop. We would recommend this hotel.

very clean, excellent staff. shower and sink drain did not work well. very cute town of giardini naxos and very decent beach near the hotel (or use the hilton beach for a 25 euro fee - umbrella, lounger, towel). does not have the glitz and glam of taormina but to avoid the excessive crowds is well worth the stay 10 minutes south. fruit stands down the street were great.

Great hotel

The hotel was a 20 minute walk from the heart of girdani naxos which meant you were away from the hussel and bussel however there were resurants and bars at the end of street.
You could see etna from our room and we were fortunate enough to see it erupt during the night.
The property is well maintained with clean spacious rooms.
The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much to ask for.
There are buses to all other desitanations in sicily just outside the hotel as well to Taromina.
Breakfast was great.
Definately would stay here again

Oasis of calm

Villa Daphne is a lovely little hotel to the west end of Giardini, with easy access from/to the autostrada (if you can spot the signs to Recanati!). The service is excellent, especially from the receptionists, the rooms are calm, and the small pool and garden at the back are very tranquil. Given the opportunity we would definitely stay here again.

Nice but rather expensive

Everything was great but considering that Taurmina is the real attraction there I am not sure I understand the high prices in this city which is 10 min from Tuarmina.
In addition our room had a \"balcony\" which was actually a door to the front of the hotel and the street.

Schönes Hotel mit sehr nettem Personal, nahe zum Strand und in die Stadt (ca 10 Minuten zu Fuß). Sehr schöner Poolbereich, Balkon mit Blick zum Ätna, Parkmöglichkeiten auf der Straße, aber es wäre auch eine Garage vorhanden, die wir nur zum Fahrradunterstellen genutzt haben. Frühstück hatte alles, was man braucht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses nette Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

I sin helhet inga konstigheter med detta Hotel. Men varför ljuger ALLA bilder. Vi bokade med balkong mot pool och havsutsikt.
När vi väl kommer till rummet, visade det sig vara en stor parkeringsplats som vi möttes av oxå.
Skärpning ang bilder. De rum man väljer med balkong och havsutsikt betalar man mer för. Och då vill man inte gärna mötas av parkeringsplats.

Avec un voyage de 3 semaines et presqu'une dizaine d'hotels du nord au sud de l'italie, généralement confortables et centraux, à des prix très raisonnables, la Villa Daphne s'est avérée la plus agréable...
Mais nous n'en avons profité qu'un jour : calme, chambres confortables, petit déjeuner agréable et copieux, dîner plaisant, piscine, proche de Taormine et de l'Etna, c'est un choix que nous ne regrettons pas ! Et pourtant, nous étions en Octobre...
