Not recommended. We reserved an apartment with view towards the temple and we received view towards a tree and a pathway where all the workers passed by. The receptionist said “picture on Expedia are just orientative, shot on the best apartment we have, not on real one”. Dirty bathtub, dirty toilet, ear pads and toiletries not replenished. Worth 3 stars the most.

The property is beautiful, and the check-in was great. The room itself was lovely, with a lovely view. Unfortunately, the hotel centrally controls the room temperature and had switched to heat-only mode for the season. This made our room far too hot for a good night’s sleep. Even with the windows open, the temperature remained over 25 degrees Celsius at night. We spoke to the front desk multiple times over our two-day stay, and they promised to get back to us, but no one ever did. Despite the beautiful property, we felt the customer service at the hotel and restaurants was lacking.

The view of course is spectacular. The pool was just the right temperature, so clean and the staff very attentive and friendly. The room was sparkling clean and stocked with more than anything we needed. The location could not be better if you wish to visit the Valley of the Temples and the Archeological museum. We enjoyed excellent massages at the Spa and abundant breakfasts. The group dinner in the herb garden was fun and a wonderful taste of so many Sicilian dishes. The gift of wine Nero Diavolo was delicious, dry but flavorful.

Five star hotel and dining experience. You literally can’t beat staying here if you want to explore the ruins. You get earlier access than everyone in the morning when the gates open and get a view of it lit up at night. You also have to dine at the restaurant while you’re there. 10/10 all around! The stay we had at this beautiful resort will live large in our minds forever. We had a wonderful stay. The location literally on the grounds of the archaeological park could not be better- with their own private entrance path through the olive trees taking you inside the park…our room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The view from our room of the temple was amazing and truly unforgettable . There are so many activities offered to take advantage of if you have the time- must not miss! From walking the olive orchard and olive themed lunch to spa services- even horse riding to cooking classes of classic Sicilian foods. We enjoyed a delicious lunch with our jovial host Giovanni in the chef’s garden that was like something out of a movie. The food was incredible and truly authentic Sicilian delights and i am running out of adjectives to express the level of quality and high level hospitality that was offered to us. Incredible hosts and service on every level. The restaurant meals were beautifully prepared and local local local! Best quality! AnnaMaria arranged a lunch for us at the Scala de Turchi and it was fantastic service and delicious food in the most stunning location! I could go on and on about how special the staff made us feel. So warm and hospitable. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! We will definitely go back again and stay longer and we HIGHLY recommend this piece of indulgence among the Greek temples and Agrigentan countryside.

Excellent Service. The Restaurant there is to die for. The views are breathtaking. Its only 15 minutes away from the white wall, the citti Mall and the main shopping street in Agrigento. The private entrance to the Valley of Temples is a big plus.

Lovely upscale small hotel where staff was friendly and did everything to make you feel comfortable. If you’re staying in Agrigento, you’re coming to see the Valley of the Temples. This is the only hotel in the Valley itself, a 5-10 minute walk to the temples, and to the excellent archaeological museum.

A magical experience to stay in the Villa Athena resort right on the edge of the Valley of the temples. We could buy our tickets at the desk and enter the archeological site through a private entrance. Later we sat on the terrace outside our room and watched as the day turned to night and temple became illuminated. Pool and landscaping were lovely and so were the rooms. Staff were very gracious and helpful and dinner was very good. Breakfast comes with a tray of breads and cakes and you can order eggs etc- very elaborate breakfast. All in all lived up to 5 star experience.
