The rooms, and rooftop pool lounge were not as nice as photos. Very small rooms and a bit rough. The biggest problem was security as our car was robbed while parked in hotels guarded \"secure parking lot\". While Management was very apologetic and refunded our room charge indicated this never happened before, we feel they need better security. When checking in we were told the gate is always closed and they monitored by front desk and guard but this was not the case. Lots of staff but indifferent service. If I could do it again, I would stay at strand hotel.

The front reception crew, especially Ronaldo, were very pleasant and made us feel welcome. Hotel elevator is out of service and apparently will be for some time so we had to carry bags up separate flights of stairs. As it was quite cold when we visited, we did not try the rooftop pool, which is unheated. The included. Breakfast was a pretty good quality, but the servers were a little inattentive. The hotel location is nice for this town as you can easily walk up and down the promenade.

Finding the hotel was easy, being a first-time visitor to Swakop. Secure parking at the hotel. Check-in quick and easy; unfortunately the lift had just broken down, but help was on hand for our luggage.
Staff pleasant andd ready to assist with any query.
Our room was great, with sea views and views of the city.
Would not hesitate to stay at the Beach Hotel on next visit to Swakop, and it is highly recommended.

My daughter and I spent two nights at The Beach Hotel. We were pleased with everything- location, beautiful room, excellent meals and excellent staff. We had two early mornings and had to leave before breakfast, however the staff made a huge boxed breakfast and made me coffee before we left. They also went out of their way to organize a taxi for us. I highly recommend this hotel.

Onsite restaurant and view of the beach amazing. I would stay again. I took a luxury apartment. I like the rustic feel.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay here. Our room was very spacious and well furnished, with a great shower. The staff were all very polite and accommodating, and took great care of us. The restaurant was excellent- we ate breakfast and dinner there 3 times.

Bathroom shelves were not all dusted and there was a fair amount of dust underneath the bed. I suffer from dust allergies and picked it up right away.
The bed was also quite uncomfortable. The breakfast was good and fresh. Dining room staff friendly and accommodating. Second and third floor lobbies and stairways were badly lit; terrace under construction/renovation. Friendly staff

All the furniture was old and worn out, looked nothing like a “luxury apartment”. The view was amazing but too bad we could barely see out the big window in the bedroom as that’s how dirty it was. On the balcony front and centre theres an old rusted a/c unit to ruin the view as well. Better get your tetanus before you stay here. Found a clunp of hair on the bed. And even though it said breakfast was included it was not. Included was bread, two types of cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt and muesli. If you want eggs or bacon etc you have to pay.

Hotel could use some improvement with regards to telephone and tv in the room and a shuttle to take guest to other restaurants and the city.

I had a great stay at Beach Hotel. I was warmly welcome by the front desk staff, and there were always pleasant greetings as I passed the desk to get to the restaurant. I ordered at the restaurant to go a few times, and they always offered to bring the food up for me. Oddly, they do not allow guests to put used wares outside of the room. I was instructed to call for the items to be collected, but this really didn't work for me since I was working and in meetings and didn't want to have the knock at the door disturb me, so I ended up keeping everything until the next day. The location is great, making it possible to walk to the beach, to Tiger Reef, and to The Tug (which is great!).

We had a great stay in the Beach Hotel. It is in a very quiet area but an easy 15 minutes walking to central Swakopmund.

The staff were fantastic and did all they could to make our stay memorable.

Best hotel experience!

Absolute best hotel experience we’ve had in our travels. Beach Hotel is located right next to the popular Tiger Reef Restaurant and its beaches, and the National Marine Aquarium. The hotel roof is a great place to watch the sunset over the ocean. The rooms are VERY spacious (we had a “family room” which included a second bedroom for our little one). Most importantly though, the hospitality is top notch. Manager Marco went out of his way to cater to our every need, even providing itinerary tips for our trip. The hotel’s restaurant staff were great about our off-menu food orders for the little one. Just a super friendly atmosphere - it makes for a better vacation to stay somewhere with personality, rather than the giant corporate hotel chains. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Beach Hotel. The personnel went out of their way to be kind and assisting. Marco and Angie in particular made us feel right at home! The location so close to the sea was wonderful. Almost everything was within walking distance. The coffee was great and the included breakfast very good. Chillin' near the beach in Swakopmund

We stayed here two nights, just steps away from the beach! We had an excellent room on the fourth floor with a beautiful view of the ocean. The rooftop offered a view of the city, and featured a small swimming pool. The staff was professional, friendly, and courteous. Check-in and check-out were easy. The breakfast area was also well lit and offered adequate selection. We enjoyed the ability to choose from a menu of breakfast types. There were flies in the dining area, but this is unavoidable in this area. As for the immediate surroundings, there are plenty of dining and recreational options. There is also plenty of free parking. Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel, and can heartily recommend to our fellow travelers!

Modern and spacious room at a great price

If was very cold and windy so we did not get a chance to enjoy the amazing roof deck. Our sea view was obstructed by a building which was slightly disappointing, also we were under the impression that our unit had a bath, this was not the case and there is only one unit in the entire hotel with a bath.
Breakfast was really good, concierge was helpful, the room was modern ( despite the dates look of the building itself) and beautiful with a good enough view and very spacious!!!! Overall a good stay at a great price would definitely recommend it!

Nice location for a few days break. Room good with an excellent view from the balcony. Staff friendly and Hotel Manager likes to get to know his guests. Evening meals quite satisfactory.
Parts of the Hotel are tired and needs smartening up and the two single beds pushed together were a bit awkward as was the shower door that banged on the wash basin.
Overall a pleasant and friendly Hotel and fine for a short stay.

The Hotel is comfortable, with nice large rooms, with sea views. It is about ten minutes walk to the centre of town, but it is safe to walk even at night, so not a problem. Also the Hotel has a restaurant so you can eat there.

We had a problem with the check in, because they wanted to charge us for breakfast, even though the Expedia booking confirmation said explicitly that breakfast was included. They wanted to argue with us about this and were reluctant to give us the breakfast, saying it was a problem with Expedia. I had to stand my ground quite firmly, which eventually led to phone calls to head office etc, before they eventually conceded that we could have the breakfast. This is not what you want when you arrive at a hotel after a long journey. There is obviously a problem between Expedia and the hotel's booking system, but trying to make it my responsibility is not on.

Very good hotel. Basic Breakfast, but fresh and well prepared. Requested from the hotel to do something special for my wife's birthday, but did not receive anything. I know requests are not guaranteed, but a flower on the bed or inexpensive bottle of champagne could have gone a long way to make the stay even more special. Hotel is in easy walking distance from town and everything around.

The description on your website is extremely misleading.
The Hotel is dated. There is no bar to speak of and the dining room is dull and boring. The rooms are OK. They are clean. The view is sub standard. There is a fish
cleaning facility in the car park ! The breakfast is basic. I have had better in an airport lounge.
The staff are cheerful and helpful. The TV channels are useless. Its noisy with delivery trucks and cleaning upstairs early in the mornings. Would not go back again. Way overpriced.

Fantastic End to a 2 Week Namibia Stay

Friendly staff, easy to find location, and very comfortable. My room had a great ocean view. The beach across from the hotel was clean and easy to walk as well. I also took advantage of the close walking distance to the town center shops and National Marine Aquarium. The small brackish water pool nearby also had wild birds, such as greater flamingo!

I would not stay again

I would advise to go somewhere else. The location is nice, quiet, and there is a great view, however the bed, in our room at least, was TERRIBLE! Our door was broken, the tv remote was broken, and the wifi was very poor. The staff said they would help us make a reservation for dinner and then forgot. While walking around town I ate at several other hotels with great views and better service.

The Beach Hotel is not a high-luxury place, but if you pay up for the 'comfort' room to get a view of the ocean, it offers probably the best view in Swakopmund. The wifi stinks -- you get 300MB and then have to pay another $75 for additional access. The breakfast is great, but on my most recent visit I booked through Expedia and didn't have a complementary breakfast with the room; I've never experienced that anywhere in Namibia. That's $125 additional. I also accidentally booked the 'standard' room, with a view of the parking lot, and had to pay $200 to upgrade to hear the waves. The nickel-and-diming is unpleasant, especially for me as a repeat visitor during low season. Staff are lovely. Falling asleep and waking to the sound of the ocean is priceless. That said, I'd recommend the Beach's sister hotel the Swakop Plaza for better wifi and no hope of a view, or the pricey Strand Hotel for the best wifi in Swakop, four or five excellent restaurants on site and open long hours, and proper closets! The Beach also suffers from being several blocks from the center of town, which is a nuisance if you just want to duck out for pizza or something. But the beach -- oh, yes; the beach.
