We loved the quiet and peaceful and relaxing surroundings. The only challenge was that there were no restaurant options nearby. The best solution was to rent one of the motorbikes on site which gave then gave us more options to get to other beach and restaurants not too far away but not within walking distance. Still a great place to get away and enjoy!

This property was extremely disappointing. It was dirty and unsanitary. The bathroom was sandy and covered in stains. The towels were yellow. The \"pool\" outside of our resort was covered in dirt. The door would not lock and it was continuously making noises. After making complaints to the front desk, he was not apologetic what so ever. He called the manager and she was also very unfriendly and did not apologize for the inconvenience they have caused.

We had to check out early because they were not accommodating and the rooms looked like a prison cell. They made us pay an additional 1200 baht per night just to add an additional bed to the room. The additional bed was placed on a piece of metal frame that looked like it came from a hospital. After sleeping there for just one night it caused my friends and I rashes. The location is extremely far from everything. It costed us 1,100 baht one- way just to get to Patong Beach.The beach at the resort itself was also disgusting and dirty.

This is the worst place you could possibly stay. They are ranked highly on Expedia but it did not look the same as the pictures provided.

Everything about this property was a disappointment. Not only was it dirty but the staff at the front desk was unhelpful and rude. They were unapologetic about any complaints that were made. They are nowhere near a 4 star hotel. Absolutely disgusting resort. Dirty towels, dirty bathroom and beds.

Amazing, serene getaway for pure relaxation...

Picturesque resort in which to wind down! Serene surroundings, beautifully clean and modern accommodation with all amenities, friendly helpful staff and beautiful food at the restaurant.

Be aware (as the name suggests) the resort is situated on a mangrove beach, so not for swimming, however the pool is lovely!

Also slightly isolated, so some traveling via taxi required to get to popular areas such as Patong, Phuket Town, Karon, etc

Overall, a fabulous start to our 3 week stay in Thailand!

Pleasant short stay

Short stay at hotel whilst we did some sailing nearby. Lovely location with some stunning views of the sunsets. Hotel grounds are very beautiful and well kept and very pleasant to relax in. Pool and dining area is pleasant. Only minor point is hotel is a little isolated and you really need transport to visit restaurants other than those at the hotel.

1. Hotel was not as it seems in the booking site . The beach was too dirty and was not meant to be used . This was warned by the reception staff as checked in but not in the website.

2.Too far from town and the hotel charges for shuttle service and only to limited routes .

3. No activities at all in hotel and it was very boring
4. The bath outside hotel was dirty and the water came out very yellow

Beautiful hidden hotel

Great hotel with a beautiful view of the water and the mountains, tucked away from the tourist and busy scene of Phuket. Bit far from attractions and landmarks however worth the drive or taxi drive. Buffet breakfast was amazing and the staff were helpful. Room was spacious and always clean. Great experience.

Good hotel to relax for few days and regain energy

Alright for couple of days stay if you're not afraid of geckos or flying ants. Rooms are not the cleanest you've seen, but they are alright. Definetly I would avoid hilltop rooms as there are a lot of \"unindentified\" animals up there.

Hotel location is great if you'll stay only in the hotel, but any trip will cost you extra, and although they say shuttle bus is free, it's not really (it's 100 BHT per person).

The hotel restaurant is good with good choice, and in average lunch would be 500 BHT and above (depending if you'll take alcohol or not). As for the breakfast, I will just say that for the next several weeks I won't eat any eggs, bacon or sausage.

All in all, good hotel to relax for few days and regain your energy.

P.S. We were a bit disappointed at the end by the fact that hotel doesn't want to book a taxi for you, but they only offer their fixed rate transportation.

Peaceful retreat with wonderful staff

Wonderful, peaceful retreat. Ocean view villas are right at bottom of hill overlooking the ocean next to the restaurant, bar and pool. Bit of a steep climb back up to reception and taxis but we didn't venture too far so didn't really affect our holiday too much. Food excellent , beer prices a little expensive but after getting such a good price for the villa it compensated.
What made it for us was the generosity of the wonderful staff after our camera got left in the taxi at the airport when leaving. Within a couple of days, without us sending prior payment, they returned it to us and we got it back a week after leaving.

Relaxing hotel near mangrove beaches

Hotel and staff were great. Rooms were clean, modern, and very comfortable. You can rent a motorbike at the hotel; which I would recommend if you want to get around the island as the hotel is relatively far from most other things. They do offer free shuttles at specific times which can be good for organized travelers. If you are looking for a spot to lay on the beach stick to the western beaches of Phuket, the mangroves make relaxing in the sand a bit more difficult. However, kayaks and paddle boards are free to use at the hotel (awesome). Pool, bar, and food was wonderful.

Quiet hotel with a beautiful view

Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff were super friendly and helpful, view of the sea is beautiful but there isn't much of a beach as it is a mangrove. Hotel provides free usage of bicycles, canoes, and paddle boards. Food at restaurant was really good, don't forget to grab drinks during happy hour. Hotel might be a little far from popular areas in phuket, but if you're looking for relaxation, this is the one for you. :)

NICELY DESIGNED RESORT AND ROOMS THAT ARE A BIT WORN. BUT GENERALLY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY. BREAKFAST WAS NOT FANCY BUT OFFERED MANY OPTIONS AND WAS GOOD. ONLY MAJOR COMPLAINT IS THE LIGHTS OF THE RESORT STAY ON THROUGH MOST OF THE NIGHT AND COME THROUGH THE WINDOWS, SO MADE IT DIFFICULT TO SLEEP. AC IN ROOM COULDN'T QUITE KEEP UP WITH THE HEAT OUTSIDE.

A tranquil oasis

If the somewhat secluded location peculiarly regarding costly taxi fees to other parts of Phuket isn't a issue and You are looking for a stay in a small scale resort in green tropical garden like surroundings, tranquility and appreciate such amenities like free canoes and bikes, away from the crowds, then this is the given choice.

It's a great location if you want to escape busyness and noise - It's a beautiful and relaxing resort. Staff is really friendly and responsive to whatever you need. However, it's rather isolated from everything. It's not far from one of the piers (still a drive) if you want to head over to Phi Phi island or something but you can't really walk to a local restaurant or anything. Consider renting a scooter if you stay here.

Beautiful scenery. We were a little concerned when first arriving as the resort seems to be out of the way a little. We were pleasantly surprised though once arriving that the resort has everything you need. Great sucluded location for relaxing and away from the hussle and bustle. Close enough to Phuket town for day trips for some shopping. Staff were helpful and friendly. Beautiful location and view of the beach- we could even see the big Buddha from our window.

Great hotel in a nice quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket, but still close enough to easily go into town. Room, bar, restaurant and pool were fantastic. The view into the bay was beautiful. The staff were friendly...

...however, we went in off peak season with a group of friends (3 couples). Apparently the hotel had been over-booked. Two out of the 3 couples were asked to move to a different hotel at different times to accommodate busloads of Chinese tourists. Fortunately, the hotel we were moved to was very close and bdefinitely an upgrade, so all was not lost. It was just a bit puzzling that you can book something but not have it reserved for you.

We had a wonderful time at the Mangrove Panwa. The staff were excellent and the whole experience was of total relaxation. Great food and great Thai Massage! If you want to get away from the hectic pace of Patong, stay here. No beach on site but very nice pool and free shuttle to lovely beach 3 x a day..

We expected to enjoy this hotel staying. However, we were disappointed many times with the hotel staff service levels. The breakfast menu and items were pretty simple.
You should not be rated a 4 stars to this hotel. It could be a misleading indicator.
That said, the hotel garden is carefully maintained. It was very beautiful and we got a good relax time.

Thanks for the hotel, we were upgraded to a Villa for free. The hotel is value for money though it is far from centre. The room is comfortable and clean though some insects you may see since it is a countryside resort. The breakfast varieties are not so many. As we come late around 8:30a.m., all the food containers were empty since there were tour while we are staying.

In the middle of nowhere and staff didnt seem to want you to leave! Made it difficult to get taxis and charged way over the odds. Barely anyone staying there whilst we were and too many staff so filled their time giggling! Quite uncomfortable at times. Breakfast much below average and unless you got there when it began there were slim pickings. Didn't top anything up. Stay at the Cape panwa!

Perfect for relaxing !

Very quiet and secluded place perfect for relaxing. The food is good enough to stay on the premises (you will need a car to go to anywhere). Service very good. If you are looking for loads of people and excitement this place is definitely not for you...however if you are into a really peaceful, relaxed, romantic and quiet break then don't miss out on this great venue. The cherry on the top for us was the fact that there were NO KIDS !!!!!!!!

Tranquil resort - slice of paradise!

I booked this resort for our honeymoon and it was the best decision. The resort is beautiful, well maintained and very friendly and helpful staff. The food and cocktails from the restaurant are superb too. It is about 30 minutes from the main hub of Pating and Karin beach but this did not affect our stay. It was the perfect resort to relax in. Will definitely come back!!

Nice hotel layout except for the high number of lizards and mosquitoes outside the room. Probably because its next to a mangrove. The free breakfast was mediocre but the a la carte was good Would not recommend it for those with children.

Wonderful resort, highly recommended

I highly recommend this resort to everyone, not only for honeymoon but also for simple holiday trip. The staff is very polite, helpful and ALWAYS smiling. Our room was a deluxe (which is the basic one) and yet it was so nice, clean and with great furniture. Our private terrace had the view on the garden and at night the noise of cicadas and animals, resort' lights and candles were making everything kinda magic.It was blissful and relaxing, far away from the trashiness of the lights of Patong and more famous beaches
Location was OK, we rented a car and it was simple and nice to move with it from there. Also this resort has direct access to the beach (very easy to go canoeing everywhere) but the sand is different (more on grey) and it is not for laying down with your towel. The restaurant was good and with fair price, you could also ask to eat in the garden close to the sea. Whenever you were having a meal, there was always a nice music to relax you. Definitely it was an amazing resort

Fantastic hotel, great for relaxation

Great for relaxing whether in the room, pool, beach or bar. Loved the hammocks by the sea and watching the sunsets with happy hour cocktails! Massages were fabulous especially the 90 minute thai massage - so good I had one daily. Perfect for 4 night stay. Might be a bit too remote if longer stay but there are free shuttle buses three times a day or taxis available just outside the hotel if time slots are missed. The Beach Bar is just a short ride away and wonderful for watching the sunset.

We arrived at Mangrove Panwa from Rassadan Pier. Upon arrival the resort looked very promising. Check-in was quick and smooth. We stayed in a normal room, not the villa. It was clean and a great size. The toilet was also clean and big. Liked the styling and furnishings of the room. The windows are big, so there is lots of natural light coming into the room with privacy from other rooms. Overall the resort was very well maintained. It's very peaceful and relaxing.

Secluded getaway in Phuket

My friend and I came from a crummy hotel in the middle of Phuket so the Mangrove was a refreshing experience! Tranquil and beautiful for the most part. The villas are very nice, however be prepared for bugs joining you (mainly at night) - mostly Mosquitos and ants and one gecko for us! The pool is warm and a nice place to relax - however there is no beach access which is unfortunate due to location of hotel. It is still a really nice view. The pool is relaxing insofar as other guests are respectable - I would say my biggest complaint here is the hotel staff playing terrible North American music on a loop - kind of ruins the relaxing mood. I would recommend the spa (Thai massage in particular) - great value! Also, staff are very limited with English language skills - but I found this a common issue throughout Phuket - so communication is difficult. Finally, there are some stray cats on the resort which I did not mind as an animal lover, but I found it awful how some of the resort staff treated them - one man swatted a cat and ended up injuring its eye. I was pretty appalled by this. However again, there are stray animals throughout Phuket you'll have to get used to seeing.

A Remote gem

We booked delux room but upon arrival we upgraded to stay at one of the independent room. We stayed for 5 nights. Overal the hotel is really nice and we would highly recommend. The only downside is this hotel located at a remote area so every time you need to go somewhere, you have to call for taxi, and they don't come cheap. I.e to Patong costs 700 bahts, to/from airport costs 800 to 1000 bahts. The hotel does provide shuttle service though, but only 1 way, 3 times a day to shopping centre and ao-yon beach. There's no restaurants near by.

Overall great hotel for honeymoon-ers or people looking for relax time. Not so great if you are after a lot of activities or night live.

Too remote without a car

The actual resort was lovely as were the staff. No beach but the pool was great. However the resort was too remote without a car and although the resort eatery was OK for a couple of nights we stayed for a week and part of a holiday is to eat at different places. Other resorts had a free shuttle in and out of Panwa village where we ate a few nights but our resort didn't and with a party of six it meant haggling for taxis which spoilt the holiday. The least resort can do is put on a shuttle to and from Panwa village in evening. They did have a shuttle to Phuket town and nearby beach but only one way. Quite happy to use and pay for shuttle.

Great for quiet honeymoon

I picked this place for our honeymoon because we purposefully wanted to stay away from the notorious \"dirtier\" party areas of Phuket with young obnoxious tourists. This place definitely fulfilled that goal. As it was a bit isolated, I wouldn't recommend a long stay here but it was perfect for our purposes. It was difficult to get to from the Phuket airport because the taxis there are such con artists and it wasn't in a common area, so I would recommend reserving their airport transfer with a stay here. We were greeted with cool tropical drinks and a small but strong bellhop carried our big suitcases down steep stairs. Our \"deluxe pavilion\" room was close to the bar/restaurant and pool, and had a small patio. The mosquito net and air conditioning worked well. A couple of small drawbacks: it's not actually on a \"beach\" but is right on the bay and there are beach chairs in hammocks in the sandy area between the pool and the bay. Also, the breakfast (included in our rate) was not very good except for the bacon which was the best we had in Thailand. Dinner was good and reasonably priced, plus they have a happy hour in the evenings with \"buy 1 get 1 free\" drinks. This place definitely served its purpose to provide a very romantic dropback for a couple looking to get away.

Spoilt our holiday

A disappointing week in a hotel with a one way shuttle ( have
never come across that before) so we felt we had no choice but to
hire a car. The traffic is terrible on Phuket so it wasn't the stress free
holiday we'd hoped for. The shower runs hot one minute, cold the next.
The food was average & the traffic noise was constant. Add to that
our room was right next to reception ( we could even hear the phone ringing)
it seems pretty ironic that we were in a remote location which was one
of the noisiest hotels I've stayed in.

service-good,prompt and helpful (limited english, but ok). Condition of hotel is good, new and fresh looking. when i checked in room was already prepared, air condition on,made up beds,etc where things were supposed to be,except for a little sandy floors.i stayed in beachview with outdoor tub (vulnerable to dirt because of it being outdoor, request them to clean first!). biggest issue i believe for some would be the location, Panwa is not exactly Patong or Karon,quite, secluded and far out of reach (not nearby other bigger hotels too, and i would highly encourage renting a car (unless you're staying only in the hotel). breakfast std fare, no dinner tried here. night views are romantic with the walkways and 'au natural' feel. Overall great stay, remember - secluded location (hence car rental would be good choice, value for money, romantic)

The hotel is in its opening period its far from the city and the outside activities although during the day the hotel provides transportation but at night its costing much money to move to the night activities, the hotel has still no facilities like Gym or spa but the efforts from the management team to make every thing that please you its really a nice p[lace for relaxing and family holidays basicly for people who are interested in peaceful environment which combine green, sea beach, swimming pool, birds singing and good service what i know the management is trying to cover by providing the rest of facilities in short period of time i can rate it now 4 out of 5 but sure soon will be 5 out of 5

Romantic Villas with excellent view

Our local Thai friend referred this hotel to us. We had the best stay and it was much more than we had expected. It was a new hotel and we had one of the sea front villa. It was a bit far away from the busy Phuket night life which we liked. The beach connected right in front of the hotel was not a swim type though. But with the great view ( esp during the sunset) and with the swim beach closed by, it didn't bother us much at the end. And, what a great service we had!! Enjoyed it a lot. Def go back if we visit Phuket again.

Resort STUPENDO. Tra le palme e il rumore degli uccellini, appena arrivi ti senti subito in Thailandia. Le mangrovie sono bellissime da vedere. Il servizio è eccezionale e anche la pulizia. Abbiamo cenato due volte al ristorante e i prezzi sono nella media rispetto agli altri ristoranti di Phuket. Solo una pecca ( non è comodissimo per non affitta un motorino, ma consigliamo taxi anche con app come Grab) ma è davvero una bellissima esperienza.

Leider sind die Zimmer abgewohnt. Die Laken und das Moskitonetz fleckig; die Bettüberzüge und die Handtücher zerschlissen und löchrig. Die Klimaanlage ist laut, wie auch der Strassenlärm von der vielbefahrenen Straße, der besonders in den Deluxe Zimmern stört. Das Frühstück war okay; wird aber nach 3 Tagen eintönig. Die Preise für Essen und Getränke sind etwas überhöht. Der Service ist okay, wenn es auch nicht möglich war, einen Airportpickup zu organisieren. Das erste E-Mail dazu wurde 3 Tage nicht beantwortet und dann war ich mit dem zweiten E-Mail zu spät, weil dafür bräuchte man 24 Stunden Vorlauf (!!). Der Pool wurde in 4 Tagen nicht ein einziges Mal gereinigt und im Meer schwimmen ist fast nicht möglich, weil tagsüber meist Ebbe ist. Alles in allem eher eine Enttäuschung und definitiv keine Weiterempfehlung.
