Very friendly and helpful staff in the reception and cleanliness was also good thanks to the crew. The rest had normal standards for an average hotel in Phuket. The area and surroundings was pretty uneventful and the view from the pool and upper floors was, except from the sea, a lot of old constructions. What made it a bad experience was their booking/management team. We were supposed to make a reservation for two nights but mistakenly did three. We noticed it immediately as the reservation was confirmed and contacted the hotel to change dates. Due to “a policy” they don’t do changes. Needless to say, once we go back to Phuket in a week for another few days of vacation, we certainly won’t choose Bandara beach resort.

The location was beautiful, the rooms were perfect, but what made this resort so great was the service! When an electrical breaker malfunctioned in our room, Dream, Siam, and their manager, Yao, went above and beyond our expectations! They made sure that our stay was special.
The breakfast buffet each morning was very nice. The fire show on the beach (free for guests) was awesome. And the onsite restaurant had a good variety of food, and it was nice to sit on the patio and watch the ocean waves.

The next time we are in Thailand, this will be the place we stay!

The hotel staff are very attentive and hospitable. I loved the room and it was very comfortable. It’s a bit far from Patong and the airport but definitely worth it to escape the loud night life. I loved the pool on the rooftop and I would so stay again at this hotel when I come back to Phuket.

The pool area was very good with a view to the beach. The flamingo restaurant on site had a varied menu so you won’t get bored of the option and you also have other restaurants nearby. There’s a very nice food stand just outside the hotel where I went every day to get some fresh fruit for desert. The beach is quiet and clean and you can enjoy some shade under the trees. Overall a very good experience and would book again.

The ocean view was stunning. Staff attentive and friendly. Breakfast was great with a variety of selections, and egg station was made to order and delicious. What impressed me was that I was able to book excursions to different islands. The pick up spot was literally right down the beach entrance, next to the flamingo bar. Room was climate controlled to perfection. Highly recommend this resort but go for the upgrade room, you will not be disappointed. There is an ATM machine right outside with the nice security guard there to protect you.

The hotel is good but a little overpriced. One to two nights at the most. The restaurant was expensive and the food was disappointing. The pool area had a bunch of ratty fake grass that needs to be replaced and they need to address the cushions on the loungers.

The good: the pool was very nice and clean. The staff were very nice and friendly. The room was great. Very clean and modern. I was premium sea view with balcony and the glass and mirrors in the bathroom were pretty cool and sexy.There was a nice beach bag with towels for the pool which was a nice touch. The restaurant on the ground floor at the beach side was good. The Bad: The beach is not great. The water is very murky and it's crowded. I would not swim there. While the staff was very friendly the other guests were generally rude and it generally did seem to attract a lot of happy people. I do not recommend this property for a solo traveler. The breakfast in the lobby was substandard and the food was generally pretty bad. Seems this hotel caters to primarily europeans as there were lots of meats for breakfast but not a lot of healthy options. The traditional Thai food offered was not appealing. There was a bowl of plain yogurt but not a lot of add ons such as fruit and it tasted bad. I did not like this neighborhood as it seemed to lack a sense of place or character. Not a beautiful quintessential Phuket beach experience whatever that means.

My mom and I stayed at this resort in Jan 2025!! We enjoyed this resort. It was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, check in and check out was seamless. Rooms are on the smaller side but clean and unique decor inside!

This resort is definitely on the quieter side and more remote than where we stayed in Kamala. It’s got a lovely pool, beach is nice but not the best for swimming (little rocky and shallow). There are a few restaurants walkable distance but we did not venture out. The flamingo restaurant in the hotel is lovely, very small menu but the food is really good! The resort is located directly on the beach which is nice, some vendors and restaurants along the beach but not too many options. I’d stay here again, but definitely if you’re looking for more of a quiet low key stay!

my ONLY negative issue with this hotel is that the Wi-Fi connection in our room (1217) was mostly non-existent. It was quite terrible. I think that this is inexcusable in 2025. Fortunately, I did have a hotspot on my phone. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful and we had a decent view of the sea across rooftops. Breakfast had decent selections.

The hotel was lovely and personally catered for all of my needs. It is not a huge place and is away from all of the hype you get in areas like Patong which was right up my street. I got onsite help booking my excursions and transportation when needed.

The pool was nice and although the space isn’t huge I didn’t struggle to get somewhere to sunbathe whenever I went out there. Having the bar close by was helpful on lazy days for food and drinks. The team there were also very friendly.

Flamingo was a nice restaurant and the food was tasty, however it was a bit more on the pricey side than what I had become accustomed too, however compared to the UK still nothing to grumble about.

Other than the room, pool area and on site restaurant I didn’t experience any of the other amenities, so can’t really comment on the quality of them. I preferred to pay the prices externally for spa treatments and the gym was not something I was here for.

The walk to the beach was short and if you are happy to spread your own towel and provide your own refreshments it’s a lovely place to spend time by the water.

The only real critique I would give is that the partial sea view is exactly that in order to enjoy it from the room I was in and most to be fair based on the configuration of the hotel you are likely only going to be able to enjoy when physically stood on your balcony. Didn’t spoil my stay though. My room was huge and my bed was super comfy.

If you like the quiet life, it’s for you

Perfect little corner to enjoy a beach life for a few days. Staff as well as everyone in the neighborhood (shipowners, restaurant folks, etc) are beyond nice. Such a great community.
PS. Hotel’s restaurant is under a renovation as of Nov 2024. So, there are construction activities in the property but they never really interrupt our days.

Not a good place for beach experience

When you look for the beach experience this is not the place for you. The pool and beach chairs are on the 4th floor of this hotel. You need to use 2 lifts and a long walk to get from the pool to the beach!!! The building is long and lifts are placed far from each other, not one of them covers all floors of the building. There are no chairs on the beach itself because it is forbidden by the law at this beach, so you can only lie down on your towel, mostly in full sun. I think it should be clearly mentioned in the hotel offer. The hotel is very nice, the rooms are nice, the breakfast is very nice, the service is very pleasant, and the beach restaurant is very nice, but if you want beach experience and not the pool experience this is not a hotel for you.

Set on beautiful beach . Good restaurant.cocktails Few restaurants around and of course Thai massage. 7/11 etc.
Breakfast buffet was really good especially the egg station good mix of local and international breakfast

Staff lovey but no sun loungers or parasols on the beach which really did spoil the experience. Some people left towels on the few sun loungers upstairs near pool and went out for trip or lunch etc . So two days couldn’t sit on beach or pool at all .

Also I slipped on the steps getting in the pool hurt my wrist . Was very nervous after so my husband helped me in and out of the pool. Read in reviews that it had happened to others and two other people fell while we were there .

We spent time outside hotel trips etc but would be nice to be able to sit by beach and pool and relax.

The roof top pool was small with limited chairs and umbrellas. People would put there towels on the chairs at 6am. Then not return until 10 or 11am. The hotel should have a policy that if a chair is unoccupied for 30 minutes they clear the chair for others. The bar tender at the pool was great!

Hotel room smelled like sewer the whole time we stayed. The bed had sand all over the comforters and towels were damp. A/c machine constantly leaked water and felt unsafe to use.Getting around the hotel is very confusing and hallways are dark. Washing clothes is very difficult with only 1 dryer in the entire hotel. Staff is very nice and curtious otherwise.

Clean modern hotel on beach

Very nice hotel with clean, modern rooms, directly on the beach. Nice roof top pool with amazing views and good cocktails - try the signature cocktail called Red Velvet. The restaurant (Flamingo) which is on the beach had a good selection of very good dishes. We had amazing pasta. The breakfast was good but basic - really good omelette. There are a few restaurants nearby but you will need transport if you want to explore further.

The infinity pool was amazing and the views were spectacular. The only problem was the glass around the pool was really dirty and you couldn’t see through it to the view. You had to look over it. I wanted to offer to clean it myself. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and spoke pretty good English. The walls surrounding the bathrooms in the rooms were all glass which was weird. Just a shade to give privacy. The beach was a one minute walk down the hill and there are several restaurants and mini marts close by. Overall I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Beautiful beach you can walk on but misleading photos that make the property appear more upscale than it is. The stairwells are very smelly and not maintained, the workout room is swelteringly hot and only had 3 pieces of equipment with a tv that doesn’t work. The breakfast which was included, cane with an inquisition every morning while I had my mouth full of what my room number was to make sure I was entitled to the food i was already eating. Not sure if they planned to repossess it if I wasn’t? Also, when I tried to check out they asked me to wait while they checked to make sure I hadn’t taken anything from the mini bar, even though I said I hadn’t, and they had already taken a Sr unity deposit from my card. Time to start trusting your customers. Lovely restaurant right next door and an amazing tiki bar right down the street too. Those are the only things that made the stay worthwhile, and the beach.

I booked this hotel SPECIFICALLY using the “pay at the hotel” option. When we arrived, they had ALREADY charged the debit card. Even though they supposedly reversed that, we were not able to use the debit card later that night to buy our plane tickets back to Bangkok. We had to call home and have family book our flights which was expensive and stressful. I was not impressed with this reception policy and spent a good deal of the 24 hours on this island sorting the mess out. Would not recommend this for a last minute impulse get away.

We loved this place! We loved the staff (May) was my favorite! This place is A little far from center Phuket but it’s totally worth it! The breakfast buffet is a MUST! The chef is outstanding, this place accommodates tourist by having scheduled activities, trips out of the hotel via shuttle. There are a few restaurants around the area and a 7/11 plus a mini market down the street, the spa is to die for! It’s a definite! We will come back here again. FYI this place is away from Patong where all the craziness happens, this is where you can relax by the private beach and enjoy silence, the pool is beautiful too. We took 1 day out for the crazy stuff in Patong and that’s all we needed, in short this is not a party hotel.

The cleaning of the room was slightly sub par. I am by no mean a neat freak but the bathroom counters were very grimy and cleaning staff didn’t clean them in the 4 days we were there when we requested room cleaning. Would have liked a slightly better fitness facility too but all good! The A/C was soooo good. And the bed was sooooo comfy. The complementary beach bag also saved us a few times. Breakfast buffet was amazing too.

We arrived at this poperty at 10am after a long flight, we were aware check in wasn't until 2pm which the staff member advised at the time. We were told that they needed a 2000baht holding deposit when we arrrived which wasn't on Expedia. With our room not being ready yet due to our early arrival we were offered a Seaview room upgrade at 400 baht a night, we went to view the room and it was awful, it was small and dark and had a connecting door to another room in it! - So my advise is do not pick the Seaview as an option. The hotel in itself is pleasant and in a good location, the hallways arent cleaned often as you can see a lot of dead insects there. We had staff walk in and out of our room even when we put the be quite sign out. And on one day has some small change that was left with receipts from a meal stolen. The staff are quite rude and are only interested in your money. The gym is in a dark and dingy room, quite literally an unused guest bedroom and the spa is a 5 min drive up the road not on site. As a gold member on Expedia I was quite disappointed with the overall quality of this hotel and felt its images online to be a bit of a catfish. My advise would be to stay in another hotel and maybe even Krabi to Phuket where excursions and general costs are a lot cheaper.

From easy check in to paddle board tuition, the staff could not have been more helpful. Room was a good size, and extremely clean, bed was very comfortable, shower worked well, and a free bottle of water every day. The swimming pool was small and the beds soon taken around the pool, although there were beds on the beach. The breakfast was busy, but there was plenty of choice and food was replenished promptly. I would recommend Bandara Phuket Beach Resort and if I returned to Phuket would stay there again.

The staff were really great and the location away from the main tourist area was ideal for us. The room was OK- there was a heavy musty/moldy scent— although the room appeared to be fairly clean. The beds were comfortable enough but much of the fixtures and furniture did show wear. There were also geese and chickens directly outside our room (not the hotels fault) but they were very loud and squawking all day and night. The food was pricy but good (same with the beers), and the evening live music was very good, and lent a nice “vibe” to the beach evening. All in all it was a fine place to spend a couple of nights. Everything in this area is pretty pricy- so I would say this one is fine (good even) for the price range.

Overall a good little hotel. Tucked away in a quite part of Phuket, the beach isn’t swimmable. Good breakfast and nice pool and happy hour. The bad: They don’t actually have a fitnes center and my fiancé’s shoes went missing at the pool.

Miss Hana at the Front who impressed me! What an excellent survice ever! 10 stars for this little cute hotel where you can escape from the busy Side of Phuket! I had a wonderful stayed! Love the pool on Top & the beach bar very much! Peaceful!! Highly recommended!

Just had 7 nights at the Bandara Phuket beach resort ,fantastic place and very quite location ideally for couple that wants to relax it’s not a place to party.

Perfect Getaway in Phuket

I have been to Phuket many times but always stayed around Kata & Karon. This time I decided to book Bandara for 5 nights and it was truly the best decision. I was quite skeptical at first looking at the pictures on the net as it was picture perfect but was very affordable. To be honest the hotel & view is much more spectacular in real. Loved every bit of the hotel. The attention to detail and cleanliness was top notch. There is a Family Mart just 2mins away for you to stock up on anyhing. A few restaurants nearby. All staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is about 45mins away from Patong and there is shuttle from the hotel at very reasonable price. Their bfast was pleasant with enough varieties of both western & asian. The view from the pool is something I can never get enough. The cocktails at the Andaman Bar are done well and plenty of choices. I had couple of meals in the hotel and everything was really tasty especially the pork salad & calamari rings. I also managed to get a massage at Shine Spa and the Spa itself was stunning and the therapist were very professional. A must visit spa. Its a hotel away from the usual phuket night life and offers a more relaxing holiday. Already planning my next trip here..can't get enough of that view!!

Awesome Experience

Amazing stay.. very very nice hotel with great staff made me forget the distant location of the hotel from Airport and The Nerve Centre of Phuket..
Anyways all in all great place to stay and if you intend to plan a 4/5 day stay at Phuket then it’s a highly recommended as you are distant from hustle bustle and can actually truly relax and be lost in the natural scenic beauty.
