The staff had a poor attitude. We waited for almost 3 hours, nearly midnight, just for the air conditioner to be repaired, and they offered no better solution until we requested a different room, assured us it was fine, or a refund. However, the staff's response was unsatisfactory. Finally, we were only able to shower at midnight and went to bed at 12:30 AM. I think the hotel should review its staff's attitude and check rooms before guests arrive. This made me unhappy and I will not return.

We had an amazing stay in this hotel. Staff are very attentive and nothing is too much to ask. The hotel was peaceful and quiet. Breakfast time was not too busy and very relaxing. Beautiful outside pool surrounded by palm trees. We stayed in three different hotels during our two week trip to Vietnam, and this hotel was the best.

The beach and sun loungers were absolutely amazing and never had an issue finding a space at the beach. It can get windy at the beach, so might not be suitable for young children.

We got a sea view bedroom and it was beautiful. Big bed and spacious bathroom. The room a full sea view and at night you can see hundreds of fishing boat lights in the sea. There was balcony with seating and a table.

Fantastic experience staying here. The only downsides are that the pool has many broken or missing tiles on the floor, which is badly in need of repair. The other issue was that the shower head was not secured tightly so it was leaking when turned on. However these issues were fairly minor in my opinion.

Resort backs onto a beach with a fantastic view. Room and bathroom was nice and big. Staff were very nice, helpful and friendly. Dinner was good but a little on the pricey side. Breakfast was not bad, offering both western and Vietnamese cuisines.

The Cliff is right on the beach, which is clean and has huts offering sun protection. The rooms (Azul Sea View) were clean, modern and comfortable. The food was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful, though the service at the restaurant was sometimes quite slow. We enjoyed the spa as well. Overall it was a very nice place to spend a few days relaxing.

Great beach break in Vietnam!

The beach here is beautifully kept and the sunset live music from the staff on a Saturday at the beach bar was a great way to start the evening. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the pools were great but in need of a little TLC to replace the missing tiles. The rooms were large and plenty of storage. Always easy to get a cab into Mui Ne to check out the many bars, shops and restaurants on offer.

The property felt tired - pool was missing tiles, menus were worn, and in-room hot tub was stained. No towel service at pool. It has great beach access and was quiet. Breakfast buffet was good - inline with other hotels in Vietnam. However, non-vietnamese food was lacking in terms of taste I was looking for a 5 star experience and it did not deliver the experience nor value.

Highly recommended for those who would like to be in the middle of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet, this resort is so for you as it is around 7-8 km to the downtown areas.

Property is very nice. Restaurant is good, especially the staff. Beach is much cleaner compared to the other resorts in the area. Unfortunately there was some noisy corporate event when we were there and they were allowed to monopolize the property and beach which took away from the experience.

My only major concern was the hotel attempted to seize/retain my passport until departure. When I told them I was uncomfortable when that they said I could keep it, but would not be allowed to charge anything to the room. This was ridiculous as I had pre-paid for one of the most expensive rooms at the resort. When I offered to pay a deposit with my credit card, I was declined. This is outrageous policy - hotels should not be allowed to keep passports as collateral. That is scary as all hell, and I have heard too many horror stories to trust anyone with my passport.

We had a 2 bedroom suite with jacuzzi on the balcony. The view from the balcony was breath taking. There were some faults in the room- airconditioning was weak, the water heater wasn't working 1 night but the hotel cutomer service responded promptly to our complaints and did their best to rectify the faults asap.
Overall it was an enjoyable stay.

Beautiful location on a lovely stretch of beach and a very impressive and beautifully landscaped hotel. The staff were very friendly and always quick to respond to any requests with a smile. There is much to like and enjoy about the hotel and we celebrated lunar new year at a gala dinner, which was a fabulous event.
Whilst the pool areas were lovely and there were always plenty of sunbeds, they had a habit of playing loud music by the pool everyday which made it difficult to relax, even when there were very few people by the pool. We stayed in a Garden view cottage, which was beautiful but on our last two nights a very noisy family moved in next door, clearly the walls are not very thick.
And the lack of a bar meant that there was nowhere comfortable to get a drink in the evening unless you went in to the dining room.

Good hotel. Went in March 2018 & it was very quiet although got a bit busier over Easter. Stayed in a beach side bungalow which was really nice. Plus points were breakfast which had an incredible amount of choice & the beach & pool area which were lovely. There was no character in the reataurant or bar area don't stay here if you are looking for night life. Mui ne is a 5 min £2 cab ride away which has loads of resorts restaurants & bars all full of Russians. There are a lot of steps although staff will ferry you around in golf carts if required. Staff were not particularly attentive & didn't speak much English.

Nice modern resort. Stayed in the big \"Verde room\" in what they call the condo section. Had kitchen and sofa area. No sea view. Breakfast was quite good. View from the restaurant area is very nice and and the space got a nice ambiance. Food was very good. Internet signal was good. Got 2 pools and both were nice. Room was very quiet. Nice quality bedding and well equipped room.

The resort is a quite a walk from restaurants and shops.
There is a free afternoon tea, but half the cookies were soft as if they had been in the jars a bit too long...
Another thing that would be nice was a bit stronger what they label as \"american coffee\" for breakfast and afternoon tea. The preprepared thermo coffee was quite weak.
Staff was helpful in booking onward bus tickets and in general friendly and efficient. Except one morning where we asked to leave the outdoor breakfast area about 5 minutes after the buffet finished because they had to clean the area, Would have been nice to finish the breakfast before being being moved to the indoor section.
Another interesting thing was that the resort charged an extra 10% \"room delivery\" fee on top of the 10% service charge already added to the invoice for delivering some food we ordered in the restaurant to the room. That was a first for me after many years of stays in hotels around the world....

We stayed here for 3 days to celebrate my fiance's birthday and I'm glad that all of the staff made it possible by singing a happy birthday song in Vietnamese and surprising her a complimentary cake. They're attending to our concerns fast and accurate. The hotel is so beautiful like spacious bed and room, nice bathroom and garden view, the staffs are helpful in everything that you need or asked for. What made even more beautiful of the hotel is their staffs, they're so hospitable and their kindness to help you is so unbelievable. It's a front beach hotel and they have a pool that has a side bar that made it super cool. Every side of the hotel is picture perfect. If you're up to singing they have a big Karaoke Room which I really like. The food is great, Vietnamese food and coffees are the best! I will surely recommend this to my friends and will surely come back! I really felt comfortable in my overall stay and felt like I'm really in a vacation mode by their services here. It might be a little bit pricey but its totally worth it!!!! They go beyond your expectations!! You can guarantee a money back for the services that they give, I love the people, the view, the pool, the beach, the food and the hotel! I really love it here! I have no regrets for staying here!

On arrival was impressed by the friendly staff and beautiful surroundings.
Stayed in the 2 bdrm Terra ocean view apartment. Room was ok, not cleaned very well.
Terrace with jacuzzi and amazing views was really good.
Grounds were leafy and well kept, pool was awesome.
Had a private beach with drink and food service, excellent.
Breakfast buffet was, without doubt, best in our 3 weeks in Vietnam.

Really lovely hotel, slightly pricey for food & drinks (in comparison to other restaurants I ate in) but to be expected I suppose. Really nice selection of food at breakfast. Staff were friendly and efficient. The pool areas are beautiful.

I would suggest there should be 'do not disturb' signs to put on the doors and also some net curtains would be nice as they only had heavy curtains which block out all the daylight (good at night, not so much during the day!)

We booked the seaview room and it was fantastic! They also kindly arranged a cake and some decor when they knew we were celebrating our anniversary. The staff were friendly as well. The beach is also great! The location is not as convenient as it's not located at the main stretch but it's quieter this way and it's easy to get a cab anyway so thats not much of a problem.

Warm and welcoming break in a spotless hotel

We stayed in low season so the hotel was far from capacity. This was great for us as we had extremely attentive service, could get spa treatments when we wanted, and just relax and enjoy the facilities. The staff are so friendly, remembering our names and greeting us warmly morning, noon and night. Food was pretty good, especially the local seafood.

I chose a condo type and it was really huge and comfortable. great price great staff. pool was also amazing. one thing I didn't like was the food. there are various food, but I didn't eat much. Location is a little far away, but there are lots of taxies outside. After I stayed at cliff, I chose another resort for good location. I was so disappointed at the good location resort after I stayed at cliff. Next time I would choose cliff again and just take a taxi for the restaurants and other activities.

Fantastic resort hotel with lovely safe beach.

Picked the cliff by chance online. Could not have been more pleased with my choice. Very clean, staff very helpful and courteous, beautiful pools, my bedroom was nice and cool to come into after sunbathing became too hot. I ate in the restaurant 6 nights and the only meal I had which I was slightly disapointed with was the duck which I thought had been pre cooked and then re heated. Apart from that small complaint everything else in my 7 night stay was really really pleasing and I came away with the feeling I had the most relaxing time, and thats exactly what I wanted.

Quiet & Relax

We stayed here for 3 nights. Booked Terra Ocean View rooms because there are 2 bedrooms to fit our family. The first night, we stayed at level 1, the view is not really ocean view as blocked by the plants. So requested to change room, the staff was very accommodated, after checking was advised the room with better view would be only available the next day, so we have to stay in level 1 for the first night. This gave us a chance to compare, when we moved to the highest level (5th floor), the room was totally different, though they were the same category, but the 5th floor one was definitely outstanding. The size is bigger (bath room, kitchen, balcony and also bedrooms), and the view is stunning, so we could bath in the private SPA tub and enjoy the view at the same time.

The public swimming pool is big enough, and the pool side bar is elegant. Resort's private beach is fantastic too, i did not see much difference comparing to Phuket's beach.

There is a game room, which we spent some of our day time there, table tennis, Pool, and a mini cinema (fixed screening time) and a karaoke (dint try it).

For spa lovers, SPA buffet is recommended, 800K for 2 hours of massages and spas of your choice.

Overall, the stay was great.

Good resort in Phan Thiet

The Terra 2 bedroom Ocean View exceeds my expectation. It comes with small kitchen facilities and fridge. So it's very convenient for family. Buffet breakfast spread was pretty good, ranging from hot dishes (fried rice, noole) to salad, bread to cater to different needs.

Generally good hotel beautiful pool , air condition running so loud , the bath room have shower head but when you take a shower no way to prevent the water running all ever the bathroom. The General manager should take a shower at room 142 then he will understand what I meant!

Upon check-in, we realised they gave us a free upgrade to the Sea-View Room! Pleasant surprise. We enjoyed amenities like the Ping Pong & Billiards table as well as the gorgeous pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Seafood restaurants were close by within walking distance (about 800m). Also enjoyed the water sports available at their private beach which was clean and devoid of crowds.

Fantastic pool and pool bar, but pool wait staff were very innotentive at times. This was possibly due to it being very quiet and they were bored. Noticed when pool busy they were on the ball. Resort and town very quiet at this time of year. Predominantly Russian guests, The staff otherwise were fantastic, room was lovely (hard beds though) fantastic views and super relaxing, which is what we were after.

We had our weekend getaway at The Cliff for 3 days 2 nights, this is our 2nd time staying here. Last time we stayed at the 3 bedroom villa and this time due to budget limit :) we stayed at the Deluxe Ocean view and The Cliff never disappoint me. The room is spacious (even with extra bed), modern design, amazing sea view (i mean really, no building blocking).
The staffs are extremely friendly and attentive to all your needs. We had our lunch at resort for 3 consecutive days :-) The restaurant offer very good set lunch with reasonable price (about 10-12usd/pax). We also tried the Spa buffet which was really good value. We will definitely come back

one night stay in mui ne - cliff resort and reside

The place has a manificent view. It is just beside the sea which during both day and night you get to see very nice sea view. Especially sun rise in the morning. (My friend saw it but I didn't as I was still asleep) the resort has it own beach and water sport Despite there isn't anyone at the beach when we went down to explore the resort.
The room that we booked is quite big which had a kitchen, balcony and jacuzzi beside all the basic amenities. The place is quite clean, however we have to make sure to lock the door separating our jacuzzi and our room as the neighbour can walk over to our balcony.
Lastly, the staffs there are very friendly and helpfull. It will be perfect if we can check in earlier for our room as we reach at 12pm due to the train timing And only able to check in at 2pm.

We had a great stay at the cliff resort.. only positive things to say. Great pool, good food, good location, attentive staff, and well appointed room.
Overall, a fantastic stay.

after experiencing some bad moments in ho chi min this hotel in phan theit was incredible! besides hoi an this is a must place to stay! it had everything u want in a resort!

Amazing from start to finish!

We were at the resort for 3 nights and loved every second! The staff are so friendly and really made the stay special. The pool was incredible and the breakfast buffet catered for every taste. Even when we had checked out the service continued. The staff offered us showers at the spa before we caught the bus and made sure that we got on the bus in time. They have complimentary bicycles to use (we rode out to the red dunes) and the resort is a very easy walk or cheap taxi ride away from most restaurants on the main road. The rooms were very spacious, tastefully decorated and extremely comfortable. I would recommend this to everyone.

It is not a 4* hotel.

In general Vietnam is underdeveloped in terms of hotel and restaurant industry. Especially in Mui Ne. The hotel is mentioned as 2-3rd best in town but it is far from Thai or Malasyan hotel, or any hotels of Western brands. The chief client service manager is Swiss. But - he is a photographer and this is his first job in the hotel :) After that the service in the hotel doesn't surprise me. Staff doesn't understand and speak english well. Example - they don't understand \"double espresso\". The location is bad - you must either go by car drive that is dangerous or always get taxi to reach the center of mui ne. The hotel can be recommended only to families with children.

Ok hotel needs improvement

The breakfast is not great warm fruit and cold cooked food not refreshed often enough.
Staff were very helpful.
Gym was old and not the standard of a 4 star resort. Also not air conditioned.
The charge for pick up from the airport is quite expensive as more than a local taxi.
The restaurant is ok but not great for the price.
The beach front bungalows have outdoor bathrooms which is awkward at night and the bath has various animal droppings in the morning.
Overall a decent hotel but could be better!

Nice view.

I booked Terra Ocean view room. The room is quite spacious with large balcony which comes with an outdoor Jacuzzi and fantastic sea view. The in-room bathtub you see in the picture is in fact not provided. So, if you expected in-room bathtub, you would be disappointed. The bath room only has shower, The water in the shower takes a long time to warm up and at times just turned cold out of sudden. I was quite impressed with the room at first and thought it was far from my expectations till I started to use the bathroom and kitchen facilities. The bathroom floor is finished with very rough materials, you can feel cement and sand when you walk on it which is very unpleasant. You can't walk around the bathroom with bare foot, you would feel dirty and uncomfortable in such condition.
Next, we used the kitchen facilities to prepare our meal. We bought lots of seafood from near by fish village, thinking we could prepare a sumptuous dinner for our family after a tiring day. Unfortunately, the stove stopped working after a while. We called the staff to fix it, they did something to make it work but it spoilt again after they left. We encountered the same problems again and again during our stay. All our meals were incomplete and disrupted. We had to dispose some of the uncooked food on our 3rd meal because the stove stopped working completely. As if it were not bad enough, the aircon was also not working in the middle of our sleep. We were waken up by the heat of tropical weather

Spend the extra on the Villa. You'll love it.

We spent a week in the Villa. The Villas are right on the beach. They are huge! The private pool alone is worth the money. Beautiful sandy beach. The only negative would be that its a bit of walk (up 51 stairs) to get to the restaurant for breakfast, however once you get there, the view is amazing. The staff were very good. Very accommodating. We used the free hotel bikes to ride into the tourist area for lunch. It's an easy ride.

Beautiful

Beautiful facility, very well designed and maintained. Wonderful service and good food. Lovely views over the China Sea. All in all we very much enjoyed our stay here.

On the constructive criticism side we thought a lot more needs to be done to remediate and preserve the wider natural environment.

Beautiful resort

Great resort with excellent buffet breakfast and hotel amenities. Only annoyance of our stay was the very loud (and not very good) live acts each night at dinner. Decided to eat out instead for most nights so we could hear each other. Thang who works poolside was amazing, even remembered our names and greated is every morning using them. Special touch.

WOW!

I loved my stay at the cliff and regret not being able to stay longer! Booked one night here after having a terrible hotel experience in Vung Tau and coming to Mui Ne a day early. Upon my arrival i was greeted with a delicious welcome drink and straight away felt like i'd arrived in Paradise. The hotel was beautiful with incredible views of the coast line and huge amazing swimming pools to enjoy. Everything was well maintained and clean. We had a twin room overlooking the pool and it was stunning. It had a huge bathroom with an amazing shower and a balcony to enjoy the fresh air. The staff were amazing and very kind- any time you were sitting in the lobby they would bring you out a drink. Breakfast was the biggest spread of food i have come across in a hotel in my life- incredible- and the eating area overlooks the pool and coastline. it really is just stunning!

The only downside was the location being a bit too far out from the main shopping/tourist area- but if you dont mind paying for a taxi or just want to stay and enjoy the resort that isn't a problem!

Quality resort, very relaxing stay

We stayed in a Terra apartment for 4 nights in October 2014 with our 2 children (9 & 7 y.o). Our room was very spacious and well equipped, clean and very comfortable - love the balcony with fantastic view and spa. The staff at the resort were always friendly and courteous providing assistance wherever needed. The resort gardens are very well maintained and the pools are fantastic with a great swim up bar serving well priced delicious food and good range of drinks. The only possible concern would be that the deck around the pool is in need of repair (my only reason for less than excellent rating on facilities/condition) but there were maintenance staff attending to the area. The day spa was under renovation during our stay but the temporary spa was great and staff very professional. We had excellent service from the tour desk with Lap taking us on a brilliant tour of the Fairy Stream, fishing village and sand dunes in an air conditioned car with snacks and drinks provided - Thanks Lap for a great afternoon! Breakfast buffet was very good - we loved the Pho and tropical fruits and lots of variety on offer and the staff made pancakes shaped like teady bears for the kids! Would definitely return to The Cliff.

Great resort

The resort is the best in the area in terms of its facilities and location. The hotel gave us a free upgrade to a room with ocean view. There are seafood restaurants a short drive away. Hotel is new and therefore no issue with maintenance and cleanliness. The room was extremely spacious. Buffet breakfast has a wide spread and food is tasty. Will definitely choose to stay here again!

Nice hotel close to the beach

We stayed 2 nights here. Hotel is very nice, the swiming pool is great, we loved it. Restaurant is very nice location direction to the beach. The beach in this area is quite clean. Location is good as well, not far to the center approx 5-6 km. Only one thing hotel should be able to improve is to check out quicker, we experienced with a such 4 and hafl star hotel, check out should be very quickly just asking us whenever we used any drinks from mini bar, however this hotel took quite long time to check the room caused us feel not very comfortable
We will come back here in the furture

Beautiful hotel

Excellent view from the Azul Seaview room i booked. Hotel facilities were great and staffs were friendly. Breakfast spread was good but felt that hotel staffs's linguistic ability could be improved, especially the wait staffs. But very thoughtful of front desk officers to give us a full plant when we only asked for seeds of the rice plant decoration to bring home.
