We stayed for 5 nights on half board for a walking holiday. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and, in particular, the swimming pool in the early evening. The reception staff were highly professional and the restaurant staff were friendly. The evening menu only changes once a week which meant some repetition in our actual selections of food.

Room was basic but had a fridge and good shower. Restaurant was closed on Sundays and Mondays but open for breakfast everyday. Breakfast was included in price and was very good with a great selection to choose from. Staff serving breakfast were very efficient and friendly.

Staff were efficient and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The highlight of the hotel was the swimming pool, small garden and garden bar, with spectacular views.

Breakfasts were generous and varied, including fresh fruit and locally baked bread. It is a pity that the dining room does not have an outside terrace, although it is possible to have meals and snacks at the terrace bar.

Perfect base for a hiking trip

We had a great stay at Finca Los Llanos. Our room was spacious and clean, the bathroom nice and the shower excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the food and service in the restaurant good. The town is very quiet and often only a couple of restaurants are open a night, but the receptionist explained this to us on check-in and gave us her recommendations which was very useful. If you’re not there to walk/hike/climb I would maybe reconsider this as a designation as on our rest day we quickly became very bored, but we are very active people and only chose Capileira and La Alpujarra for the hiking trails. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would certainly recommend this place to others.

Hotel With a View

Located up the hill the hotel has a spectacular view of the mountains from the balcony. The village is small and quaint and the hotel reflects that character. It's not a luxurious type of hotel but the room contains all the standard equipment required for a brief stay. The heating, hot water and wifi were good. The breakfast was very good. Access by car is up a steep narrow street with some parking immediately in front of the hotel.

Wonderful mountain retreat, good food & service

This is our second visit to Capiliera (by bus from Granada) and our first stay at Finca Los Llanos. What a fantastic, value for money half board package. We stayed in room 117, a great corner balcony with mountain views to two sides, which was great for an early evening aperitif before dinner. Plentiful buffet breakfast, which set us up for our long day's of great hiking up into the mountains, including The Refugio on the way to Mulhacen. The swimming pool was a bonus at the end of a long day and although the food may not be gourmet, there was ample choice to keep us happy. The staff were very friendly and met some other lovely guests. All in all a great break and some lovely little bars in the village too. With no aircon in the rooms, it can get rather hot at night!

Just a quick mini break. Lovely pool area, gardens, outside bar and superb buffet breakfast. We went half board and the food was lovely good choices too.

The only drawback was lack of a fan, in that the room did not have air con. Wifi was very hit and miss in the room but fine in the outside areas. Gardens were lovely. would go back again.

Overall, a very nice and peaceful place to stay at a very reasonable price.

The only reason it loses points is due to the lack of AC in the rooms. However, it's not as bad as it seems because even though we were there during peak summer time, the rooms weren't hot or stuffy as you might suspect. The rooms weren't exactly the most elegant but it was what was to be expected for the price paid. It was however, very clean.

Everything else was EXCELLENT though.
Buffet breakfast was included.
Staff were very polite and could all speak English fairly well.
The views around the hotel were incredible. The whole area was really quite beautiful.
They were considerate enough to provide extra separate towels for the swimming pool.
The hiking trails were easily accessible from there which the hotel receptionists were able to provide details and maps for.

Definitely if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in this location, then this is an excellent choice.

The bones of the hotel are nice but it's in dire need of an upgrade. Functional for the town but it's blah - especially relative to the Lonely Planet rec and glowing reviews. Also, they were unwilling to entertain a late checkout to accommodate a post-morning hike shower.

Great hotel high in the Sierra navada

Fantastic three nights, comfortable room and excellent service from all members of staff. The balcony of out room looked out over the mountains and caught the late afternoon/evening sun. A wonderful place to have a drink after a day out walking. Excellent value for money.

Great base for a walking holiday.

Certainly recommend this hotel. It is in a great, very quiet, location at the top of the village. When we requested a different room with a better view, if it was available, we were offered a free upgrade (because we were staying 5 nights). This made all the difference. The walls are thin, sound carries… We would so like it if Spanish hotels offered rooms with double beds! A good buffet breakfast was offered, and included in the price unexpectedly. The rooms have fridges (very handy) but no kettles.

Amazing. We booked just two nights then ended up staying a week! We hiked to gorgeous mountain tops with the help of the staff, we lounged by the pool, slept like babies in the comfy beds, bathed like kings in the updated bathrooms and had amazing views from the two rooms we stayed in. Breakfast was bountiful. The staff here is so friendly and helpful. Lola at reception speaks amazing English, made us laugh, helped us in everyway possible! Reccomended the best hikes and restaurants. She made us feel so at home and welcome. We are thinking to move to Capilera one day because of its beauty and friendly folks.

Convenient for town and outdoo activities

Finca los Llanos was perfect for our walking holiday, stunning views from our bedroom window, decent breakfast and good information available from reception. The pool was lovely but too cold to use - except as a well needed ice bath following our walks!

A very well-located Hotel as starting point for hiking trips in Sierra Nevada / Capileira / Alpujarras. It has a rustic-style that fits perfectly into the style of local houses. Our room was very clean, staff was very helpful when asking for trips around, breakfast was basic and typical spanish but enough to get sated. The location and the finca itself is really beautiful. It's probably the best accomodation you can get in Capileira.

Mountain Sanctuary

After leaving the beautiful high stimulation and heartbeat of Granada we took a long and winding road upward that led us through mountain villages to our final destination of Capilliera. Finca was in a perfect location on the upper perimeter of the cobblestone, hilly city surrounded by walls of sierra nevada moutain. Our room had a small terrace looking out at the mountain and down at the white, pictureque city. we were a few minute walk to restaurants and shops and many trails into the enchanting mountains. It was hot and so lovely to swim in the big, open pool that was surrounded by mountain vistas. The breakfast in the sweet restaurant was great and the peacefulness and authenticity of this mountain town were travelling to a different world and different era. We felt very taken care of, comfortable and well care for at the Finca, with an abundance of privacy and sanctuary.

Finca Los Llanos in Spain.

Our weekend in Finca Los Llanos was perfect, the weather, surroundings, beautiful. In the information about the Hotel it says LIMITED PARKING and I think we have to say it was LIMITED, and a problem, although staff in the Hotel very helpful. This Hotel well recommended.

Trevligt hotell mitt i byn Cappiliera med nära till restauranger, butiker och vandringsleder. Vänlig hjälpsam personal. Parkering på gatan utanför hotellet. Det finns soffor, brasa och en liten bar vid receptionen vilket var mysigt att vila ut i efter dagsvandring! Kan varmt rekommendera hotellet!

Unos días geniales! Desde la llegada,en recepción super amables las chicas que nos atendieron,Sara nos acompañó a la habitación, encantadora y la otra chica rubita igual, Fernando,el chico de terraza restaurante,un encanto,el resto igual,todo de 10! Estancias,limpieza, ubicación,entorno,vistas...todo espectacular!!! Y la comida increíble! Por eso y muchas cosas más volveremos seguro! Hasta la próxima!!!

Ya fuimos en el 2022 y a sido una experiencia muy bonita un trato espectacular del personal del restaurante y una estancia muy placentera envuelto en la naturaleza.

Hotellet ligger så fint i den øvre del byen.
Vælg værelse med balkon og du får en fantastisk udsigt.
Når bilen er parkeret kan alt nås på gåben.
De skønneste vandreture udgår tæt på hotellet. Kort over vandreture udleveres i receptionen, men de kan være svære at læse.
Vi kommer igen.

Beautiful hotel, great pool area, nice staff

We were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms are very nice and spacious. It is peaceful and quiet, even though the hotel was almost full on the weekend, it didn't feel like it. Very nice pool area, with a beautiful view, and often we had it all to our selves. The outdoor bar by the pool has a large selection and the food from the restaurant is really delicious both breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all, a good experience and it won't be the last time we stay there.

Die Receptionistin war sehr zuvorkommend und half uns noch einen Platz für das Büsslein in den Nationalpark zu finden. Sie versorgte uns auch mit Wanderkarten. Schönes Zimmer mit Balkon und fantastischer Aussicht. Gute Pool-Anlage.

Estancia muy placentera mucha calma y paz con una comida espectacular del chef Tony y una atencion muy atenta de los camareros y las camareras de piso.
Una gran atencion en la recepcion.
No nos ha hecho falta ningun aire acondicionado ya que por la noche refresca tanto que se esta muy a gusto.

La habitación amplia y bien climatizada. La limpieza exhaustiva, camas cómodas, ducha con gran caudal. El desayuno incluido abundante, variado y riquísimo. El personal muy amable y atento. Es un complejo de apartamentos que imita un pueblo alpujarreño. Cuenta con varias plazas de aparcamiento frente a la recepción y, si están completas, es relativamente fácil aparcar en los alrededores. El restaurante muy bueno.

Hotel muy bonito y cuidado, la habitación que nos dieron tenía unas vistas estupendas. Limpieza correcta. Tienes que aparcar fuera del establecimiento, hay una zona de estacionamiento a unos 2-3 minutos. Pero en temporada alta se hace muy complicado aparcar por la zona.

FANTASTICO HOTEL

Fantastico hotel rodeado de jardines muy cuidados, mucha tranquilidad, la habitación y demás instalaciones muy limpias, el personal muy agradable y atento y sobre todo la comida del restaurante es de Diseño. Cuidan hasta el mínimo detalle. Nos ha encantado todo y el pueblo precioso. Animo a todo el q esté pensando en visitar la Alpujarra Granadina que se anime y se hospede en este fantástico hotel. No se arrepentirán.
