Great place and location to stay. Staff were all helpful and nice. The pool is not heated and at end of day it’s very cold. Got the half board but The greasy buffet food made me sick everyday so stopped eating there. Ask about the added fees for water and drinks before ordering. Be careful with leaving your garments on the balcony. They will fly away from the strong winds in the alley. Which happened to us. They were never recovered. Although the bed was comfortable the pillows were not and made my neck and shoulders stiff up and hurt. The AC and the lighting in the room were great. You need a deposit for the safe in the room and a key card for the lights. Over all, great room, price and location.

Pros: food was pretty good, close to the beach

Cons: \"all inclusive\" should be called \"partially inclusive\" and most staff just had no desire to be accommodating. Received a flat \"no\" for simple requests so many times. Some examples of my unreasonable demands,

- a glass of water: was at breakfast, admittedly a bit late but staff let us in and all I wanted was some toast. \"no breakfast is over.\"

- a cup of coffee: \"no, we cannot serve all-inclusive guests at this time.\"

- a basket of fries: ditto the above

- being seated for dinner: wife and I were waiting on line for dinner, wife stepped away to go to the bathroom. \"no we can't seat you without the full party, go to the back of the line now\"

- a beer at the beach bar: \"no, we cannot serve all-inclusive guests at the beach bar, go back inside\"

other random things I disliked:
- wifi was down for nearly the entire trip (8 out of 10 days)
- bathroom had no ventilation
- bedroom was tiny
- requested full and twin beds and got 3 twins instead
- various advertised amenities such as fridge and safe need to be requested and upcharged.
- cooling system barely does anything unless you leave it on full blast all day/night

FWIW the younger staff members were great and tried to be accommodating, I guess their training hasn't sunk in yet.

Very clean, friendly hotel which is very good value for money.

There was plenty of option available in the buffets and food was of a high standard. Drinks were reasonably priced with some bargains to be had so we were happy to be half board.

Make sure you bring a beach towel as these are not provided- rather surprisingly for a hotel right on the beach front. Also be aware there are no sun loungers available to hire anywhere on the beach. A small table on the balcony would be a nice addition as well.

Lovely hotel right on seafront

The hotel is really nice right on the sea-front we had a front sea view on 5th floor. The noise of the sea took a bit to get used too as we live in the country with no noise at all. The room was as in the picture very nice. The balcony a little small with room for 2 chairs. Despite the advert saying there is a fridge in room this is an extra you can pay for if you wish. We didnt need one. The room is cleaned and bed made and fresh towels each day. The lady cleaner on 5th floor was lovely. Breakfast was plentiful. It was quite quiet as it is not peak season but much busier at the weekend. The area is easy walking a very long promenade. We saw dolphins one morning close in and kentish plover and chick on beach. The train only about 5 mins walk with access to barcelona, sitges, Tarragona etc and lots of other places and runs about every 30 mins.
Lots of restaurants along the front. Not all with english writing on menu. We found a little cafe called don borata which was nicely cooked food and friendly staff

Great Location

Great medium sized hotel well located right on the beach and surrounded by bars and restaurants.
Not the easiest place to find and parking is not easy with many restrictions on the roads surrounding the hotel.
Apparantly they do have a car park but once I had parked on the street to check-in I didn't want to move the car again.

Amazing location

A clean hotel with an amazing location. We did not need the car for the duration. It is right on the beach in the middle of the board walk. Maria at the desk made us feel special. This is our second visit to this hotel and we will come again. Make sure you get a room with a balcony on the waterfront. The sunsets are an experience.

Lovely little spot on the Costa Dorada

Great location and price. The breakfast buffet was pretty bad, but everything else - staff, cleanliness, beach access - were all on point. Calafell is pretty small and 4R is right in the middle, so it's easy to explore the touristic areas.

Great stay at the Miramar.
Good sized room with sea view. Very clean and comfortable. Food decent but as it has over 200 rooms the dining room does get busy. Maybe due to staffing levels we were unsure how drinks orders worked and would have preferred drinks bills to go on the overall room bill!
Reception team were lovely throughout especially Carlos who was so pleasant and could not do enough for us during our stay - big thanks Mr Carlos!
Room service team very efficient too.

Not get what i paid for!

I booked room for three adults with one double and one single bed. On arrival i got room with three single beds which are not what i booked!
I came down to reception and been told that i need to pay extra 60 euro for having double bed and single..
So that is an a ripoff, i booked and paid but on arrival got extra charges. Not happy with the hotel and expedia!

Unless you get a sea view ( which is great ) the rooms are extremely basic.

The buffet restaurant is hit and miss, good food one day and maybe not so good the next.

Staff at the hotel all seem to be very friendly.

Average hotel that has caused us slot of stress

When we arrived, we were told that we hadn't payed for our holiday which was from the 24 July to the 12 August. However, we had actually pre paid since the beginning of April.

One staff in particular, named Mihaela, was surprisingly rood to us. Also, she blocked our room keys from being able to open our door(our room had valuable belongings which we could not acsses). While doing this, she removed one of our beds. She done all of this without our permission which you obviously need because we have rented the room for three weeks. Therfore, for that period of time the room is ours and would need our permission to enter it.

Because of this, we had to leave 8 nights early and she had ruined our holiday.

We were extremely offend by this behavior and will definitely not be returning to this hotel.

El balcón es muy pequeño y tiene peligro si la pata de la silla se cuela, o incluso si metes el pie. Debería estar tapado, no puedes ni sacar las mascotas sin peligro. Camareros amables y no paraban. Merecen un 10. Recepción bien pero muy lento el check-in. Hay colas en recepción, desayunos, etc. Ascensores lentos y pocos para tanto personal. Limpieza debería mejorar, hay zonas q no limpian. Pero las chicas son amables. Cercanía Playa genial. Ambiente bueno. Actividades en hotel muy pocas.

The hotel has a very good location. The food was average, but the restaurant was too small for the number of guests. You often had to wait for a cup, spoon, glass, or even food.

The rooms are small—maybe suitable for 3 people, but not for 4. The swimming pool is very small and can accommodate a maximum of 10 people at a time. There was also an issue with the internet; it was not available for an entire week.

Don’t come here!

We have a lot of complaints.

Wifi: in our booking it says we should have WiFi included. We didn’t have WiFi one single day! We asked the receptionist and they were very unfriendly and just said that it doesn’t work. Not ok at all

Refrigerator: that were also supposed to be included. It wasn’t, we had to rent it for 15 Euros, not ok at all.

Breakfast: was very poorly with food and I looked at the pictures on the website, that is not even close what it was in reality. And so crowded with people everywhere and so busy.

Safety box: that didn’t work and again, if we wanted to use it, we need to rent it. Not ok at all.

Receptionist: all of them, especially Svetlana was not friendly and not service minded at all. Just said all the time that everything is what it is and they can’t do anything about it.

We were so unhappy with our stay so we checked out one day before and night before planned. We asked the reception if we can have money back because we checked out one night before, and again, the reception was not service minded and friendly and did not cooperate with us at all and just say no.

So crowded with people everywhere, it was awful.
Pay the room directly when we comes, that is not how it is done, was very strange!
The pool was horrible when it opened, crowded with so many people and not nice

This is not a 3 star hotel, it is 2 stars. We don’t recommend it at all, I will never come back.

I have emailed the hotell about our complaint, no answer

Für ein dreisterne Hotel war es wirklich gut und ausreichend. Der innenpool war warm sodass man im April bei 20c in den Pool konnte ohne dass es einem kalt war. Frühstück ist ok für den Preis den man zahlt. Das Zimmer war sauber. Wir hatten direkten Blick aufs Meer das war sehr schön und wenn man raus gegangen ist war man mitten in der Promenade nachts war es aber nicht laut insgesamt sehr zufrieden

Das einzige was ich in diesem Haus absolut positiv bewerte ist das Personal. Ansonsten war es dreckig, Haare im Bett und im Bad, das Bad war eine Zumutung und ich musste die Toiletten im Foyer benutzen. Noch nicht einmal Platz für einen Kulturbeutel, geschweige denn „Hinsetzen“ auf der Toilette die zwischen.Dusche und Waschbecken mit Null Toleranz / Seitenabstand installiert war. Zerissene Matratzen, billigster Mist! Balkon war gerade so groß das man sich als Einzelperson daraufstellen konnte, umdrehen unmöglich! Von den Wohnungen gegenüber hat man einen perfekten Blick ins Zimmer, die Privatsphäre ist also eingeschränkt!

Det første rommet vårt var katastrofalt - med mugglukt og svært dårlig luft. De flyttet oss først til et bitte lite rom, hvor vi ba om avslag på prisen. Deretter fikk vi et skikkelig rom, som vi var fornøyde med. Vennlig resepsjon.
Hotels.com oppgir feil info om tre-manns rom. Ingen rom der har kjøleskap inkludert i prisen!
Vi har vært der 5-6 ganger. Hotellet begynner å bli slitt og resepsjonsområdet trenger grundig fornyelse.

Överlag väldigt nöjd med detta boendet. Otroligt fräscht och trevlig personal. Bra läge bara ett stenkast från stranden. Helt okej mat i all inclusive, fanns ibland lite mer att önska men blev alltid mätt.
En del i personalen som inte pratade engelska vilket var lite besvärligt, det löste sig dock alltid. Fräscht poolområde dock ganska litet och inte sol förens på eftermiddagen.

Super Strandlage mit kleineren Mängeln

Super Strandlage, nettes & hilfsbereites Personal. Gute Auswahl beim Frühstücksbuffet (inklusive laktosefreier Milch/ Hafermilch).
Allerdings gab es nur Einzelbetten, obwohl wir ein Doppelzimmer gebucht hatten. Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es rund ums Hotel, allerdings kann die Parkplatzsuche manchmal etwas länger dauern. Die Zimmer sind relativ hellhörig, sodass man Gespräche vom Gang laut im Zimmer hört.

Lo que no nos gustó es el ruido que se hace desde primera hora de la mañana. El hecho que se admitan perros es un punto desfavorable ya que ladran y levantan a los hospedados y no se puede descansar bien debido al ruido de las otras habitaciones y pasillos.

El hotel está muy bien situado. Y el ambiente q encontrmos muy bien, sin ruidos,… pero hay que decir q estava lleno de jubilados franceses, y normalmente son muy educados y cuidadosos.
Las habitaciones son justitas, pero tienen de todo, incluso un pequeño balcón.
La habitación se veia antigua. La cama y ropa de cama muy cómodas.
El desayuno es muy correcto.
Lo único que no nos gustó fué que la habitación tenia una puerta de madera que comunicaba com otra habitación y se oia todo.

Keine Ruhe in der Nacht. Bis 2 Uhr und ab 5 Uhr rollten die Koffer mit großem Lärm an unserem Zimmer vorbei.
Zwei schlaflose Nächte.
Dafür müsste man Geld zurückbekommen.

Fuimos 1 noche. El trato del personal excelente, fui con un perro mediano y todo muy bien. Solo decir que las habitaciones que estan sobre la entrada del hotel, que tienen la terraza muy pequeña y aunque solo hay 2 sillas, no te puedes sentar, porque no hay espacio suficiente. Un consejo si llevas perros pequeños, tener mucho cuidado en la terraza, ya que desde la base de la barandilla, ( que es de vidrio ) hasta el suelo, hay un espacio por el que podria caerse vuestro perro a la calle.

Es un hotel muy decente y muy bien ubicado, pero por detalles, no termina de dejarte con buen sahor de boca...ducha que no sostiene bien la alcachofa, las patas del somier mal ajustadas (las deje bien en un minuto), nevera aparentemente disponible que sin embargo debes solicitar y abonar a razon de 2,5...no se...ofrecela gratis o cobrala bien, no creo que cubra el tiempo de desplazaniento e instalacion del operario...vaya que por poquito me hubiera ido con buen sabor de boca pero...no fue asi, lastima.

L'hotel est correct et bien situé. La restauration est de piètre qualité. Si vous prenez la 1/2 pension ou la pension complète, attention, les boissons ne sont pas incluses, même pas l'eau. Hôtel très bien situé, nous avions opté pour une chambre vue mer alors vraiment on était juste en face de la mer en première ligne et pas juste un petit aperçu
Personnel très sympa et à l’écoute surtout le monsieur qui tient l’accueil le soir et parle français, très gentil et très très serviable
Petit déjeuner pas terrible mais je ne peux pas bloquer sur ça, vu que la qualité des buffets de la plupart des hôtels a baissé après le COVID.

La comida del restaurante deja mucho que desear, aunque sea bufé libre , muchos de los platos son recalentado del los días anteriores
La bebida deberían poner jarras de agua por mesa , aunque fuera del grifo ,ya que te cobran por el agua una barbaridad y si es menú completo, creo que el agua debería entar

Nos gusta mucho el hotel, es la 1era vez que vamos con mascota, cobran un suplemento.
Hicimos una peticion por escrito informando que el perro era grande, nos toco una habitacion correcta para 2 personas, pero con un perro grande para mi gusto era pequeña, y el balcon era muy pequeño y el perro no pudo salir fuera tampoco. Ya que se paga por aceptar mascota, seria interesante adaptar un poco la habitacion a las necesidades de ellos. Todo lo demas perfecto.

El hotel es agradable,las camas de nuestra habitación un poco pequeñas.
El agua de la ducha se sale porque la mampara es solo un cristal fijo
Limpio
El desayuno bastante variado y bueno
La zona es silenciosa
Buena ubicación en primera linea de playa
Dificil aparcar por la zona

Zur Ausstattung unseres über Hotels.com gebuchten Doppelzimmers gehörte ein KÜHLSCHRANK, der jedoch in der Örtlichkeit NICHT vorhanden war.

Unser Zimmer hatte eine Verbindungstüre zum Nachbarzimmer, die nicht schallisoliert war. Die lautstark geführten Gespräche der Gäste des Nachbarzimmers mussten wir zwangsläufig mit anhören.
