Very nice hotel. Great staff, lovely rooms amazing view. One thing I can tell is the towels are a little old maybe a change would be nice. In terms of amenities I think a lot with earbuds and cotton make up circles would be nice. Very good hotel and spa.

We stayed in this hotel for two nights while on a business trip. The hotel was nice but the room had a bad smell coming from the luggage compartment. We had to leave the door to the balcony open in order to reduce this bad smell. This was not expected from a 5 star hotel.

Beach was beautiful. Lots to walk around and see. Close to nearby museums and castle. Really excellent restaurants within walking distance. Staff was very attentive. Our room overlooking the water was perfect. It was worth the splurge for a few nights there.

Nice Hotel, Great Stay, A bit pricey in comparison

The property was nice and overall very family friendly. The food was excellent albeit very pricey for Spain. The staff was very nice and helpful and willing to do what was necessary to ensure an excellent stay. The pool area, while nice, was a bit poorly positioned in the front of the hotel without a direct view of the ocean (whilst in the pool).

An Oasis of Calm

A very warm welcome from reception and efficient check-in and check-out. They had noticed I'd be staying another two nights on a business booking and made sure I had the same room.
Great location with an easy walk into town.
Spacious Bedroom and very comfortable bed.
I didn't get to try out the spa, however the outside pool area was lovely, very few people there when I stayed.

the location is amazing and the main building and services most certainly 5*+ however, disappointing that there are a number of additional charges for parking etc. and you have to be a very special guest to sit on the front row by the sea, but they never seem to turn up.

No proper AC system in the rooms or in the lobby. staff is not helpful, facility is really not a five star hotel. No store inside the facility to buy anything, we have a little kid, we could not even buy milk. Lacking lot of amenities. We would never go back for this price.

Fantastic place for a restful break!

Don’t be deceived by initial impressions of the resort when driving in…. The Meridien RA is a beautiful oasis of calm on the Costa Dorada. This truly is an exceptional place, and the blend of old and new, sleek and eccentric made this a wonderful place for a restful break. We were really impressed with the cleanliness, staff, food and decor, and the only thing that could have been improved was a Nespresso machine in each room, and slightly less expensive prices at the beach club.

I travel a lot and am used to staying at luxury hotels but this hotel really was special ! I had a beach front room in the new block where the spa is and it was stunning ! Lovely products in the bathroom and super comfortable beds and sheets ! . Spa on roof was simply stunning with sea views and luxury sun beds with curtains gym was great and the beach wonderful it was also nearby lots of local restaurants and beach bars in walking distance ! We have already decided to go back next year

Wonderful stay and can’t wait to go back

We had a wonderful time at Le Meridien Ra beach. The beach is stunning and there is excellent service for food, drinks, and convenient and comfortable airport transfer to the hotel for a comparable cost as a taxi. We loved the spa and the bamboo deck where you can sit out and drink cava or tea before or after a treatment. The food is great and while more expensive than the surrounding area, it is convenient and tasty. Many restaurants are walking distance. It is easy to do a day trip to a Sitges by train if you want to experience a busier area. Highly recommend this hotel!

Very nice property. Room appointments were top notch. Access to the beach was excellent. Staff were very accommodating. We appreciated the free rental bikes which were perfect for touring the waterfront on the miles of oceanfront walking and bike pathways. Would recommend to anyone looking for beach front. Our room looked directly to the sea. Some rooms had terraces which I would request if returning.

The hotel was beautiful and we especially appreciated nice touches like complimentary cava upon arrival, morning massages on the beach, no charge for chairs on the beach, which was not the case in other places we've stayed on the Mediterranean coast. All the staff was fantastic: reception, the beach club, bar, restaurant, spa. The immediate area is not beautiful, but we found good restaurants anong the beach, and the beach was gorgeous.

First impression everything is excellent they greet you with glass of cava and explain you how great their hotel is and which services they include. BUT they do not tell you that all the drinks at greeting, everyday towel use and mini bar is charged extra €28 per day and €12.50 per day if you park your car. BUT they told me at the check in that I will only pay €12.50 in total for my car. Why to include hidden charges at the end and make your customers disappointed whereas you can include all together in the hotel charge.
Also the beach is great but you cannot leave your towel and go for lunch. The guy who \"looks after\" the beach first will warn you not to leave the towels then will take away your towels. I did complain to reception twice but nothing happened. They will tell you that there is enough space for everyone if there is why should we leave our place and come back to another place? I have stayed Le Meridien before but this hotel does not deserve to be in the brand. Totally disappointed. I am sure the manager will reply that they will to their best to improve and bla bla but I would never return to this hotel and would not recommend anyone. Better find another hotel.

Great but needs work

Hotel was great but the room was tired and needs upgrading. Cupboards were loose. Plug fittings pulled off the walls when pulling plugs out. Plus there was a total lack of plugs in the room. It was very difficult to wash and dry your hair. No plug - no mirror.

As Starwood group the quality is not there . It is overpriced and I felt I did not get any value for my money . The food is unacceptable for a 5 stars hotel , the standard is very low . Also the service should be improved .

Nice place in need of changes

Hotel is located in a beautiful Beach south Barcelona. It is supposed to be a very good Hotel but it was not (specially the service and lack f people in certain areas). Place was a bit worn out (room was). I expected more for such expensive place.

I have been in this place several times before. This time I was really surprised on the quality of the service, the problems faced and the solutions given (not even an apology but every time they had an excuse for their wrong doings). Maybe was beginning of season and the lack personal, training,... but this stay was best to be forgotten. Arrival at reception (nobody took care of car of luggage,...) by a Dutch guy who didnt bother to explain ANYTHING about hotel (just keys were given and finger pointing elevator) and being pretentious is not the best way to deal with problems. Really disappointing...

Overall very satisfied. The hotel is in very good condition. The beach sand & water is nice & clean. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Eionas at the restaurant is the best, he was always hosting us with a cheerful smile & offering his hospitality. The alacarte resturant was at a high standard with professional staff.

The room was cleaned twice a day but it should have a kettle with amneties for a 5 star hotel. We couldn't have a king bed, I would expect a 5 star hotel be able to swap beds. Parking at the hotel was at a high cost €23, luckily found free spots outside.

There is not much to do in the area around the hotel. The hotel grounds are surrounded with residential buildings on either side.

The spa is nice but the masseuse competence was way below expectation.

If you literally want to sit on the beach then this is the place. We found it a bit boring as there was NOTHING to do but sit on the beach and the neighbourhood was grim. The staff however were lovely and the hotel amenities were good. Paying for bikes seemed a little unnecessary.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is very clean and bright with lots of space and air. The room was very clean and modern, the food was delicious and the beach nearby was perfect for sunbathing and swimming. However this hotel requires some entertainment for its guests. I wasn't much impressed by the SPA zone - nothing really special. Still, I will definitely return back and recommend this hotel to my friends.

Wonderful relaxing break

Lovely hotel, very convenient for Barcelona airport (about 45 mins and 100 euros in a cab). All the staff were very friendly and helpful. My Spanish is very basic but all staff could speak English. Breakfast was an excellent buffet catering for all tastes. Beach right on the doorstep with a Beach Club that did good lunches and different themed dinner buffets. Tried some tapas in a few of the local restaurants with generally good results. Slight language problem as the waiters didn't speak much English, however we muddled through with menus in English and saying cerveza and vino tinto! Would definitely go back.

What highlights this hotel is the attentiveness of the staff. Virtually everyone from concierge to waitresses are helpful and mindful of guest's needs. Therefore, this hotel's staff is what makes it closer to a 5-star hotel than anything else. The hotel's location is about 45 minutes away from Barcelona. Therefore, if you plan to be in Barcelona on business - plan to spend about an hour each way on the road. The hotel is situated on the beach, which is quite nice and useful during the summer period. There is also a pool that can be used to relax during the other seasons. The rooms are clean and have all of the necessities. Yet, the travelers frequent to 5-star hotels may not find the standard rooms as luxurious. However, the price of the hotel is fair, given the combination of amenities and offered services. Once again, the staff of the hotel is the true highlight.

Ok Hotel but very expensive to eat and drink in

We arrived for a week in a hire car and were shocked to find that there is a parking charge of 23 euros per day plus VAT. This hadn't been mentioned before and wasn't budgeted for. The hotel claimed that this was Expedia's fault for not telling us. Anyway you look at this it still nearly 200 euros I hadn't catered for.
Room was ok, but for the first time in over 35 years I didn't have a balcony - and to get one would cost me 70 euros a day extra.
Eating and drinking at the hotel was a bit of a minefield. Every time we got a drink it cost a different price! For instance a gin and tonic cost between 9 euros and 13 euros depending on what time you bought it and from which bar. A glass of Rioja was between 5.5 euros and 8 euros. When you think this is the signature wine of Spain it was very expensive. Consider how much a glass of Burgundy is in France and you will see my point.
When it came to the food it was very expensive. Charging 42 euros per person for a buffet is a good way to drive your guests away. Unfortunately on the night in question we went into the a-la-carte restaurant and chose dishes at 24 and 28 euros respectively. When, with drinks the final bill came it was for 110 euros. Not worth it
Unfortunately, though this was a pleasant hotel it wasn't that special and it was very expensive. For car parking, food and drink (and I paid cash for the first 3 days and we ate out 5 nights out of 7) it cost me 650 euros. Rixos Premium was a lot better and a lot cheaper.

Overal it was nice stay. I would not recommend the restaurants in the hotel - pricey and the food was not perfect (was not bad,but not vey tasty also). Try restaurant - Anchor on the same street - good service/price and excellent food. Spa was nice but do not try to do manicure - it was really bad and expensive. Several things were missing - nobody offers you water or tea in the spa while you have your manicure/massage etc, there are no seats next to the seaside (it was explained that who came first, those got the places). But at 8:00 AM the best places were empty but you could not sit there as smb already put their towels... So at 9:00 AM there are no people in the beach but there are lots of towels and you can't take the seat.....

Stayed 3 nights as we were going to a wedding on the week end. Service excellent and attentive, rooms very comfortable. Breakfast buffet fabulous, however make sure that you don't get down there too late as many of the items finish and are not replaced unless u ask for them! Beach nice, spar is to die for! Extras and Bar, 25 euro per night to park your car and a Gin and Tonic costs 11.50 euro. Still you can walk to all the bars on the front where you can get a decent dinner and drinks for the price of 2 gin and tonics from the hotel bar......

Great for chilling out and getting some rays

My wife and I needed to escape the rigours of urban living and recharge our batteries - we chose this place purely on the strength of the hotel and spa, and we were delighted with our choice. The hotel is beautiful, clean and stylish, and it's right on the beach (which is impressively clean and sandy). It's just got a very cool ambience. The spa is wonderful and the breakfast buffet really tasty. We were here for seven nights and to be honest we were happy just sunbathing, swimming, reading and lounging. Had dinner here one night and food was superb (though pricey). However, there are loads of restaurants a 5-10 minute walk down the prom. We'd like to come back and I'd highly recommend.

Lovely setting and extremely relaxing but be warned about breakfast - the description said 'buffet breakfast included'- this however is only 'continetal breakfast' - to have access to the full 'american breafast' a supplement must be paid - this was embarrassing and not relaxing to be told this each morning! Quite disappointing for a 5* establishment!

Check in experience was great. The food service staff are THE BEST by far. They remembered us and knew what we needed before we had to ask. The food, even the buffet, was very good.

However, the owner of the hotel had a private event for his friends in the lobby on the night of May 23 (if I recall the date correctly). Resources were clearly pulled from other duties to prepare for this party. It was disruptive to the guests and their needs. We had to walk around the main lobby to get to the elevators for two days and the hotel bar / lounge was off limits during the night of his private party. There aren't any other bars / lounges in the area that compare to this one, so it was disappointing that we did not have access to it during our entire stay.

On our second night there, our room was not cleaned by 3:30 PM and we had to call for maid service to ensure we had clean towels to use when we returned from the beach.

Room design and maintenance: Le Meridien is known for some very cool room designs. This hotel is no different. However, they are not maintaining them properly or fixing design flaws.

Our glass walled shower was not properly sealed, which caused the bathroom to flood each time the shower was used. The maid service did mop it up each day when they cleaned the room (and even a 2nd time in the evening on those days we had to shower before dinner). However, it was frustrating walking in a puddle of water while getting ready to leave the room for the day. There is clear evidence of water damage in the sleeping area caused by this, but it doesn't look like they are fixing the issue.

Lastly, when using Orbitz to book your travel to this hotel, be sure they understand that it is pre-paid by your Orbitz booking when you check in and when you check out. When I checked out, they tried to charge me for the room. Their accounting department had not yet confirmed their receipt of payment from Orbitz and wanted to take a copy of my credit card in case they don't get paid by Orbitz. It took about 10 minutes to clear this up and for them to understand that they need to clear payment with Orbitz, not me.

Un pequeño paraíso delante de la playa

No tengo palabras para describir este hotel. La excelencia está por todas partes: sus zonas comunes, la Terraza del Mar, las vistas a la playa, el personal amable, alegre, muy bien formado, limpieza exigente, atención personalizada. Dato relevante y decisivo: son pet friendly, espacio amigable para las mascotas como parte de la familia. Durante los 3 días he vivido en una burbuja de paz, de relax, de silencio, no me quería ir jeje.. El desayuno es excelente y el buffet libre de la noche un auténtico espectáculo de todo tipo de comidas muy bien presentado y mejor calidad. Le Meridien Ra se ha convertido en mi escapada esporádica para desintoxicarme de la gran ciudad. Muchas gracias a todo el personal por hacerlo posible.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber, Räume sehr ruhig (gut Schallisoliert), Lage perfekt, Frühstück sehr lecker. Die Mitarbeitenden waren stets freundlich. Uns haben 2 Dinge etwas gestört: Am Strand waren die ersten Reihen (Liegestühle+Schirm) täglich reserviert und für diese Plätze musste man extra zahlen. Das Hotel und auch der Strand waren nicht sehr voll, daher war die erste Reihe (bis auf 1-2 Plätze) immer leer, dies war etwas lächerlich. Bei überfüllten Zeiten wäre dies verständlich, für nähere Plätze am Meer etwas zu zahlen, aber in der Form ist es leider nur etwas lächerlich, weil die erste Reihe immer leer war. Und bei so einem hochpreisigen Hotel, sollte man für Strandplätze nicht extra zahlen, nur weil man dicht am Meer liegen möchte. Der Zweite Punkt ist, dass ich einmal in der Beach-Bar essen wollte, untenrum Rock, obenrum Bikimi-Oberteil. Ganz schnell wurde ich gewarnt, dass ich so nicht sitzen darf. Am nächsten Tag gab es im Restaurant eine Familie die nach dem Baden (noch Nass und in Badekleidung) im Restaurant frühstücken durfte. Diese wurden nicht ermahnt oder darum gebeten sich was überzuziehen. Ich habe den Sinn nicht so ganz verstanden, dass man in der Beach-Bar (direkt am Strand) so einen Aufstand macht, aber es im Restaurant kein Problem ist. Fanden wir etwas komisch und wiedersprüchlich. Wenn Regeln, dann für alle!
Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden und hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt.

Aucune empathie nous devions y allez une semaine en famille nous avons eu notre vol d’annuler impossible de ce rendre à l’hôtel plus de vol pour Barcelone et ils ont encaisser la semaine entière sans pitié.

Nice hotel, but a bit overpriced

The hotel was very nice. In particular the location on the beach and the staff were very nice. Unfortunately, many things that I would expect to be included came at an extra cost: Wifi, included - wifi that works is extra, sunbeds on the beach, included - nice sunbeds are extra, a coffee in your room - call room service.
But overall a nice stay!

Chambre magnifique avec une vue imprenable. Literie super confortable, petit déjeuner varié et délicieux.

Dommage pour le service qui n’est pas au niveau d’un 5 étoiles (queue pour le petit déjeuner, oubli de la boisson d’accueil, staff pas spécialement souriant, …) mais bon avec une centaine de chambres ou plus c’est pas évident.

Je conseille le pack expérience qui comprend plein de plus intéressants (vélos, accès au spa, minibar, …)

service hôtels.com lamentable quand on a un problème de réservation on ne peut compter sur vous et l.hotel se retranche derrière \" on ne sait pas\"
Chambre plage pretium réservee , manque de bol pas de dispo à l'arrivée.. il a fallut paye un supplément pour ne pas se retrouver dans la chambre de base.. avec vue sur les autres chambres ! 10 euros par jour.. on parle de \"rien\" mais franchement 1) c'est mesquin sur une chambre à ce prix... 2) je ne remercie pas hôtels. com sur le service..
bien entendu nous avons payé, ce n'est pas pour 10 euros mais le principe montre un bien piètre service client...

Nous avons réservé 2 chambre en famille, il trouve le moyen de nous faire payé 25 E pour être côte à côte plus des frais sup non signalé au départ,
Je connais cette hôtel, la politique a changé, elle’est basé sur la mauvaise fois et c’est bien dommage.
Ils sont plus que 5 derrière le comptoir, aucun ne parle français .

I have been in this hotel in the past as it was the best place to be in the area. Last few years I felt and slowly decrease in service (even snobbish at some point...) and place. I am glad that this time I enjoyed the hotel I always liked and everything much improved compared to few last years. I had some needed improvements and excellent service. Perfect stay. Beach, pool, Spa, restaurants,... and over all a great service from people at hotel. Without doubt the best Hotel in Costa Daurada

Et fantastisk opphold det er virkelig et luksus hotel på mange måte. Vi ble oppgradert til et bedre rom uten og spørre i forhold til det vi hadde bestilt. Uten noe ekstra kostnader. Selvfølgelig av henge det sikkert av tilgjengelighet.

El hotel parece nuevo esta en unas condiciones inmejorables, destacar la amabilidad del personal en todo momento. Con la reserva dispones de 2h de bicicletas+masaje de 10’ y acceso a las instalaciones sin limite de tiempo una vez has dejado la habitacion.

Comfortable stay by the beach

-The resort has many things to do within the property. Not much to see around outside but there are many cheaper-than-Barcelona central restaurants along the promenade.
-The buffet breakfast, signature of the Le Meridien brand is awesome.
-Rooftop sundeck, private sunbeds by the beach are perfect to relax.
