Beautiful Hotel

The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept. Breakfast was delicious and convenient. There is parking available a short walk from the hotel lobby. They do have lifts. Staff wasn't overly friendly. Customer service was just ok. We did not prebook spa services and were not able to get in for services while we were there. We were not able to decline maid service. They use a strong chemical air freshener in the hallways if you're respiratory sensitive.

We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a boutique hotel, and we were traveling with our 10 year old daughter. The hotel catered for all our needs, from great food to the spa and swimming pool, and proximity to the beach (10 min walk). Really enjoyed that it was authentic, catering for Spanish as well as international guests. The history hill top town is quiet, with a good few bars and restaurants. In Altafulla, most places do close between 1-5pm… it’s great, exactly the way it should be.

Peaceful luxurious retreat

I had my third and fourth stays in Gran Claustre recently. It is an outstanding small and luxurious hotel, with excellent staff and food, in a beautiful setting. Great rooms, spotlessly clean and very good beds and linen. I recommend it.

Splendid place, horrendous breakfast

A wonderful place but with a shockinglly poor breakfast, which does not match the quality elsewhere.
Substandard food quality and bad service -do not book breakfast at this hotel.

The property is beautiful, as is the area around it. Very walkable with access to shops, restaurants, beach, sites. Occasionally, trash was seen around the property. Overall, we had an excellent experience. The staff was kind, the breakfast was generous and fresh. Our room was nicely cleaned each day for two weeks.

Romantic and beautiful area

Check-in was as expected quick and friendly.
The room was comfortable. Tricky getting in to shower as it had fixed door, when switching on the shower you get covered in cold water before it reaches temp.
did not eat at the restaurant as it opened at 8:30 pm and i tend to eat around 6:30 pm.

Hotel is little bit far from the main Street.So, sometime it is difficult to reach the hotel without the Taxi or personal vehicle.

Good Part is that Hotel is made in traditional style & it's Good for Stay.

In front of Hotel, there is a park where you can walk anytime.

We booked this hotel for the spa and terrace restaurant for our one year anniversary. I emailed the hotel after booking to reserve spa time and got no response. When we arrived we were told the spa was closed for renovations and the terrace restaurant is only open from mid June- these things were not flagged on the website.

Beautiful building in a great location.

Beautiful building - the local area was also charming - though we were out of season in May and not all the restaurants were open. The hotel has some dark rooms so if light is important to you then request a room with more light. The hotel accommodated all our requests and the staff were very pleasant. The only negative comment would be that the hotel now needs some refurbishment of the rooms - to keep the hotel at the top of its game - the rooms are feeling a little tired.

Overnight stop on the way to Barcelona. Parking was easy and reception very welcoming. Unfortunately due to the season very few restaurants open on a Tuesday evening. Lovely hotel, didn't use the spa, the only downside was that the internet was down when we arrived.

Lovely hotel in the heart of the old town

Despite needing a kick of paint in a few spots, the hotel was a perfect base for a long weekend away for a friend’s wedding. The staff were pleasant and the surroundings beautiful, especially the courtyard dining area. The rooms were pleasant if unspectacular, but comfortable none the less.

Fantastic place, in the heart of the old town. Peaceful and quiet with friendly, helpful staff. Rooms good sized, well equipped & comfortable. Easy walk down to the beach area & lovely to stroll the lanes around the castle in the evening. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break & will definitely be back!

No bar Outdoor pool was covered no outside seating area apart from a few bucket chairs in very small are behind reception.
Lighting in bathroom too bright .
Lovely location but not comfortable for longer stay unless you use Spa facilities.
My view was a brick wall
Staff were excellent
Coffee was from a machine using pods never managed a good hot cup

Comfortable but beginning to feel a little tired.

Pleasant hotel, but room facilities beginning to feel a little tired. Bathroom and shower adequate but slightly tatty, sink plug did not work, AC set at fixed value and completely inadequate for the season. Lovely location though.

Nice hotel, Spa Not Really

Beautiful room and most staff were warm and warm. An easy walk to the beach. An adult oriented hotel.
The hot spa is large pool and the water iwas not hot. No towels in the spa room. You have to pay extra to use the spa area. I had a massage that scored 3/10. Baby soft fingers that rested often. I expressed my concern regarding the whimpy massage and was told that everyone else liked it....so what. No apology and no offer to make it right for the customer.
Curious that they require you to wear underwear for a massage. I don't care because I am n the modest side. I have never been told that before. She also did not ask me if I had any areas she could focus on.
I would not return.

Amazing stay at this hotel! The service was impeccable, and the hotel itself is wonderful. Located in the old town, it offers stunning views and a truly unique experience. The property is spread across several charming historic buildings, all beautifully renovated and decorated with elegance.

The rooms are quiet and comfortable, with very cozy beds, we slept wonderfully. Surprised there’s no little equipment like toothbrushes, toothpaste, brushes etc… and the shampoo/shower gel same combination wasn’t the best.

There’s also a spa and massage service (unfortunately, it was fully booked during our stay), and a lovely little pool. The only drawback is that the pool has just 6 lounge chairs and isn’t heated, so it fills up quickly, but we were lucky to always find a spot.

Breakfast is served in a gorgeous old castle next door and was absolutely delicious.

I totally recommend this place!

La cama horrible! El colchón super incómodo. Eran 2 camas individuales juntas pero se movian, no había manera de juntarlas y dormir bien. No entiendo como ven un pareja y te dan eso.

Reserve una Habitación Superior y me dieron una Estandar. Según ellos Hoteles.com es la wue les comunico, pero ni enseñándoles mi reserva hicieron caso omiso. La habitación dejaba mucho que desear, pequeña, la calefacción continuamente encendida en el Lavabo sin opción de apagarla, el lavabo obstruido y el WC colgado en la pared se movía. El desayuno muy justo a nivel buffet pero podías pedir una tortilla o embutidos aparte. Las instalaciones generales si están bien. No me volveré a alojar en otra ocasión wue pueda visitar ese precioso pueblo, no recomiendo este Hotel.

Habitación desactualizada, bastante incómoda porque la bañera y la mampara estaban muy viejas, el agua del labavo se salía y encharcaba el suelo por culpa de su diseño inadecuado. Faltaban elementos de cortesía como geles, champú y lo que había estaba en malas condiciones. Y además en el circuito de aguas del spa no funcionaban algunas instalaciones.
Mala experiencia tratandose además de una habitación de clase superior. No volveré

Vi har tidligere boet på Gran Claustre og ville gerne tilbage. Det er en rigtig god oplevelse: God restauranter, i den gamle bydel i Altafulla og alligevel i gåafstand til standen.

En conjunto el Hotel y SPA están muy bien, la atención del personal sin duda es de lo mejor, lo que encontré a faltar a diferencia de otros 4 estrellas que he visitado es el tema de los amenities de la habitación, una cafetera, tetera, por ejemplo,se hubiese agradecido, el funcionamiento de la wifi muy regularcito, cuando funcionaba genial, pero cuando empezaba a tener cortes de datos, el trabajo se complicaba. Y en cuanto a la habitación quizás un pero importante y era el olor que cuando llegabas había, que te obligaba a ventilar un rato.

El desayuno muy correcto, el hecho de que te sirvan en la mesa lo encuentro perfecto. Los tratamientos/masajes que probamos fantásticos, un 10 a las dos masajistas.

En resumen, lugar para descansar, muy tranquilo, en un entorno espectacular, y con una gente super agradable, recomendable sin duda.

El hotel está bien y la habitación es cómoda. Pero no creo que tenga los detalles ni equipamiento en las habitaciones como para un hotel de 4 estrellas. Tv muy pequeña, no tiene tetera ni opción de café en las habitaciones.
Baño muy básico y con nada de detalles.
El desayuno con surtido limitado, pero buena calidad de alimentos y servicio.
Esperábamos más de un 4 estrellas.
