Reserved a room on Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel we were informed that they were overbooked and could NOT accommodate us. If that isn’t bad enough, they refuse until today to refund our money. This was all on the eve of typhoon tino and I was traveling with an infant. The front desk couldn’t care less and had no solution. They didn’t realize that they were still offering rooms online while local guests needing shelter were sold all of the available vacant rooms. Luckily we were near the airport and got seats on the last flight out.

Close to a lot of shopping and dining options, very walkable. People gather outside their room and talk very loud, which is not the hotels fault. I was looking for a sign or notice about Quiet hours. There should be a posted designated times during which noise levels should be kept low to ensure a peaceful environment, during late evenings and early mornings.

For the price, this is the best spot around Tacloban.
Great hotel in a prime location right next to the mall. Staff was great. Only complaint is the AC would not work good enough to keep my room cool to my comfort. But, it was decent enough considering I was there in August.

The checkin process was a bit slow.Only one staff was available in the counter while there was a queue (the supervisor inside the office could have help her).The room looks old and needs updating. Paint is faded and toilet has stained and visible damage. Lack of toilet paper.The room is too small that you cant have space to put your luggage if you have more than one.And you don't have enough space to walk or do some morning stretching.

Good customer service. Easy check in and check out process. Great location. Good security. The place itself is old - need to do MAJOR renovations. The room did smell - like gutter - but it’s the same smell as the toilets from Robinson. I did had to purchase a room spray, but still had the lingering smell. If you want budget this would be the place.

Great staff and location for easy access to mall and close to downtown. Room was small and didnt have any closet space to put my luggage and some areas of the room needed repair( laptop stand was fragile withe only 2 bolts holding it down). Other than that it was good enough for the 2 weeks i stayed there. Staff is great and nice and friendly and always accommodated whatever i needed in timely manner( asked for extra towels which they brought up asap and the battery for the room key was out a d they changed it asap as well.

The staff is very approachable, professional and accomodating. Through no fault of their own, the hotel building is very rough and needs a lot of work, but the staff makes up for it by ten folds. There were definite issues with a room we stayed at, the ceiling leaked in the bathroom when the shower is on, the lock to another room stopped working, but the staff attended to our needs ASAP and moved us to another room without question. Its safe to say I had a comfortable stay there. Location is great, right next to Robinson mall, if you're looking for a budget hotel with great service this is the place to be.

A clean no frills hotel

The GoHotel in Tacloban is located adjacent to Robinson's Place, Marasbaras, with ample parking. The front desk personnel are friendly. The check-in process wasn't very efficient. I booked online but was still required to fill in my personal details on one paper then asked to provide similar information on a second page so the hotel could \"get to know a bit more about me.\" I and other guests were asked to wait in a sitting area in the lobby for about ten minutes until called back to the front desk for the key and room number.
I don't think there any rooms on the first floor. Neither of the two elevators are in service for access to rooms on higher floors. It's possible that all of the hotel's accommodations are on the second floor. My guess is elevator problems are ongoing here, based on the well made barrier complete with a professionally lettered sign in place to inform guests of the non working elevators. I carried my large suitcase up the stairs to the second floor. I suspect any of the hotel employees would have eagerly done this for me if I had asked. The corridors between the rooms are easily five meters wide, featuring long centerpieces two meters wide and as long as each corridor, which have the appearance of being filled with lunar dust and occasional chunks of volcanic rock. I've never seen a feature as elaborate yet so desolate. The auditory ambience of the corridors is poor with every voice echoing off the hard surfaces in the sparsely appointed hallways.

This hotel is a no-friz hotel. Meaning, it may not have a pool or hot tub, but it is clean and affordable. But the added features is that the staff is very helpful and accommodating. I have stayed here before, but this was even much better. The WIFI has greatly improved. I appreciated having an area where you can purchase stacks and beverages too. They stored my luggage until my flight was leaving later that day. I will be back!

After a couple of misses on our stays in Tacloban, Go hotel is pleasant. The location next to the mall is its best feature.
The room is on the small side. The walls are quite thin, you can hear the guests on the adjoining room.
Air conditioning (uses split AC) is comfortable. Give it a few minutes to cool down the room as it auto shuts down withiut the room key. Oh, they have their own parking but was told we can also use the mall’s if they ran out of space. No breakfast but easy to find close by.

This hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. It is incredibly basic and not even in an acceptable way. Elevators did not work the entire time we were there. Bathrooms looked like what public toilets and showers would look like. I would bever stay here ever again.

I used to stay in this hotel every time I visit my family but unfortunately I missed my booking this time due to my flight schedule was changed and I am not allowed to cancel or modify my date. Although this hotel has too small room space but the price is affordable and the place is very convenient just beside the robinson mall which makes me choose to stay here. I think all rooms has the same sizes or just similar and i do hope that they have bigger sized room to chose.
