Apart from this, Front Desk, Room Service, Restaurant crew were fablulous and went out of the way to make us feel comfortable.

It was off season and there was some annual maintenance going on - it has to happen sometime - but the hotel manager and staff had made every effort to minimize this and to more than compensate. If you wanted a fully equipped gym you might have been disappointed but if you wanted to stay in a simply beautiful property - and we were delighted in all
respects from room, food, amenities, activities, and location this place is it. But what makes this property special is quite the most genuinely charming and hardworking and professional staff I have encountered in my 45 years of international travel this is the place. From room and catering to garden and security the staff are very well trained, clearly Taj brand appreciative based on conversations I had with them, motivated and make this property as nice as it is. We stayed at 2 other 5 star properties on this trip and this was our clear favourite and made it an exceptional memory.

We have been to this resort several times and always have a wonderful stay. Breakfast is amazing - looking out over the pool to the sea never gets old - and the service and items available at breakfast are fantastic. Reception is good and helpful, the gym is good (if a little too warm) and all staff are very friendly. The only minor gripe is that we always stay in the deluxe suites 402 this time, but the other ones on other ocassions (which are all very comfortable) but none of the fridges in these rooms are cold enough. Our friends stayed in one of the other rooms and their fridge worked properly.

The property is well kept and lush. The evening boat ride followed by the tea overlooking the sundet sea side was beautiful. However the hosts at the restaurants are extremly pushy and annoying sometimes. The key is to stay alert and available if needed not hovering over the guests the whole time. There is a difference. Their restaurant \"bait\" needs major renovation and wasn't inviting due to old and broken furniture. There are not enough dining options in the area so youre forced to eat at the property. The fact that i was told that the oven only starts at 7pm and grilled food is unavailable was disappointing. I guess i expected more from Taj.

New year in Kovalam.

We found the Jasmine Bay restaurant to offer high quality food and exceptional service. Assistant restaurant manager Abhishek was a pleasure to meet and took great care of us as did the cook.
The rooms itself are small and dated and charge is high (750$ a night) for quality as compared to equivalent resorts elsewhere which are new and have better comforts for lower prices.
The landscaping is excellent and property is safe and the high yea and sunset views are phenomenal.

The staff is excellent. The front desk staff Jasmine walked us through the property amenities and necessary details. The staff at the breakfast area, valet are all very pleasant and welcoming.

This is not a 5 star property. It is 4 stars maximum and some aspects I would rate as 3 stars. The pool is badly in need of retiling. The tiles would come off under fingers and toes and they are very sharp. I’ve only stayed at one other Taj property and it was amazing. This one is terribly overpriced for what it is. The staff are doing their best and were very attentive but given I stayed at 2 Hyatts in recent weeks, this place really comes up short and I felt terribly ripped off.

Checking was disaster. They never informed I need to carry passport and visa in email. So I have to search and gets docs. Also very less beach area with rough sea, so not good. I felt like a forest space than star hotel. Rooms are under like a cave. Charges are very very high for all dining. Pool is not st all deep for adults and only one pool for guests. I was in resorts in Puetoricco and Aruba (Hilton Gardens). Compared to those this is at a low standard. Also you need to cross public road to get access to other beach side area which makes it uncomfortable. Didnt like it. Wont go again.

The ambience and the cozy feeling of the property was excellent. Loved the cottage feel of the rooms, the Morning breakfast and Beach side dinner. All staffs were very friendly and knowledgeble. I already recommended this place to my friends and family.

We didnt like our beds as it was very soft. Also bedsheets were lightly dusted as my mom is allergic to dust. We called from room service to ask for changing sheets and drinking water and no one showed up. No service was available other than buggy rides. Water bottles kept there were dated from april2021(expiry date).

This is a tired hotel. Rooms have dust and the quality of fixtures, fittings and furniture (apart from the bed which is outstanding) is of poor quality. The breakfast is of limited choice, the same every day and of very poor quality ingredients. Food overall apart from the Bait restaurant is poor quality and extremely overpriced. Unfortunately the so-called ‘high tea’ is again of very poor quality - plastic jars of Bournvita and Horlicks are not 5*. The swimming pool is very small and quite shallow. Quickly becomes crowded and not much fun. The whole place has European 5* hotel prices without anywhere near the quality. The only redeeming feature is the lagoon and nearby sea area which are beautiful, especially at sunset.

Excellent place to spend some quality down time in the sun. Incredible cottages, priceless view, great Taj service and spectacular food. Keep in mind that the property is on the water but does not have a beach for most of the year when the tide is high. Lighthouse beach though is only a 5 minute rickshaw ride away and it is a happening little beachfront walk with unlimited small shops and restaurants. The water is incredible with nice waves to play in. I would recommend staying at the Green Cove if you're looking for relaxation, service, great views and fine food. Infinity pool overlooking the Arabian Sea was amazing.

This is a nice resort near Trivandrum. The staff was extremely friendly particularly the restaurant staff. The main issue I had was that the 2 twin bed garden room absolutely stunk of mildew. We asked to change rooms but an equivalent room with a king sized bed was not available. I would expect that such a well respected brand as Taj would do more to ensure there isn't mildew in the rooms. Saying that, our family also stayed in the Taj (Vivanta - President) in Mumbai and the room there also had a mildew smell.

Balcony mainframe was rotten and very dangerous anyone falling against it would have had a bad accident they did a temp repair immediately
Had a fall down the stairs to apartment entrance falling fruit making the surface slippery and very poor lighting caused injury to both knees

Beautiful grounds, attentive staff and a tranquil atmosphere made my independent holiday a dream. I can't wait to arrange a repeat trip.
Layout of the hotel on the basis of their independent cottages for each room meant that you never really came across that traditional hotel feeling. Instead it felt like a jungle wonderland.

Absolutely Fantastic resort, with all the facilities available. Rooms & Suite Rooms were excellent with sea-views, through the green landscape. The Spa treatments were excellent and great value. The resort catered for couples and families. The three hotel restaurants were very good. Service throughout resort was also exceptional. Easy access to beaches along the coast. Highly recommended.

This hotel is well located close to the beach and the staff are friendly and attentive, particularly Nikki and Naresh.The food is good and the swimming pool excellent.However the rooms are rather dated and small.The shower cubicle did not drain properly and water overflowed in to bathroom and in to the bedroom everyday. Attempts to fix the problem failed each time.Most importantly, at nearly £235 per day for a twin room, the hotel was grossly overpriced and you can get better value elsewhere in Trivandrum.

Great hotel but poor service

Exceptionally good hotel with great views but the quality of the service is not up to Taj's standards. Very disappointing considering the price you pay. My room wasn't cleaned properly, didn't replace the towels and floor mats, booked a car for the next day but they didn't book it and was late for my meeting by an hour. I will still go back for the beauty of the hotel and location but will have less expectations when it comes to service.

Considering the claim to be a 5 star hotel... I experienced electicity outage issues, got sick after eating in their restaurant, had a headache from the perfumed candle they had going to try to cover up the sewer smell in the bathroom, didnt sleep well on the hard mattress, and didnt appreciate the exhorbitant transportation charges they imposed on the hotel cars. They would not even allow the much more reasonably priced local taxis to come to the lobby entrance when asked to do so, which meant getting your own luggage half a km down their entry drive in the heat, humidity and rain. I would never stay with these money grubbers again. 3 stars is a stretch for this place, let alone 5.

Relaxation and indulgence in Paradise

As Australians we only chose to holiday here (Kovallum Beach) because we were going to a wedding of some Indians. However we found this Resort was a wonderful place to have a relaxing and indulgent holiday. Our Sea View Allure Room was very comfortable for 3 adults and a real sanctuary. The Housekeeping (Raju, Anunda and Animesh) were so attentive, even leaving towel creations and we appreciated the complimentary bottled water and lots of bathroom supplies. The infinity edge pool was wonderful to swim in and enjoy the view across to the ocean. The resort is spread over many acres and it was lovely to stroll around all the way to the ocean and Bait Restaurant, and then catch a Buggy ride back up the hill. The buffet breakfast in the open air Jasmine Bay Restaurant was a good variety, with the chefs happy to cook eggs, pancakes, waffles and traditional Indian foods to order. We enjoyed delicious dinners there also. The staff like Nikky, Apendra and Chinky really made us feel welcome and took a genuine interest in the reason for our stay. The taxis were overpriced though (taxes are also added on) and the tours not worth it so walk to the road and hire a taxi and driver there or use a tour service. There are many that speak English well.

We had a relaxing stay at Vivanta by Taj, Kovalam. We booked for Superior Charm Room and it was a bit small in size to my expectations. But, overall property is amazing. They have a private beach area with complimentary boat ride and evening tea & snacks. The best part of the stay is the hospitality and the warmth with which each staff greets you, which eventually is the hallmark of Taj Hotels.

It was a family holiday for us with two kids under 10 years of age. Kovalam was our last destination on our 18 day Kerala tour. We just wanted to relax before the daily grind would start. And that's exactly what Taj Green Cove Kovalam provided us.

The infinity pool was a hit with kids. The amazing customer service provided by Nikki, Chinky and Upendra was excellent that we so much miss. The staff are very courteous and ready to help. The high tea by the lagoon was also something the kids loved and looked forward to every day. The various performances including the local martial arts kept the kids entertained and engrossed. We also recommend the massage at Jiva within the hotel. Even our kids enjoyed it.

We had truly amazing and relaxing holiday. We are thankful and grateful to the staff at the Taj for making our holiday extra special.

Beautiful hotel with great views

Very Beautiful area. Great customer services. Probably suited more for vacation than business, but it definitely also worked for a business trip.

Beautiful resort but the service lets it down.

Good check in and nice room. Restaurant took ages to serve our lunches, and nearly as long to make an iced coffee. Only one staff member in the main restaurant had really good English. The chicken burger was pretty tasteless but they provided tomato and tabasco sauce that helped. The seafood restaurant by the sea was great and the staff spoke good English. Beautiful grounds, lake and pool.

Lovely hotel but overpriced restaurants.

The hotel is a wonderfully calm place where you can relax and recharge. We spent a week here following a North India tour and as a smaller property we were looked after well. The included breakfast was lovely but the restaurants were overpriced and we went to the local restaurant (3rd Rock) which was amazing and had a meal for two for the same price as a round of drinks, we ended up eating there every night.

Cool!! Excellent hospitality...
Only thing I want to say is just check the room before u stay.. for me our bedroom fan was not working.. it didn't create much problem for me.. since d a/c was too gud.☺

Great location.

The confluence of the sea and a hilly terrain makes the hotel's ambience just right for a holiday. The staff at the hotel is caring, courteous and kind.

Wonderful for our Indian wedding celebrations

Everything about this hotel, from the venue, staff to surroundings are absolutely wonderful. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs during our busy week leading up to and including our wedding celebrations. The food is excellent and affordable (by international standards) and the spa is really exceptional. I would recommend the Indian aromatherapy massage highly!

Overall, I cannot wait to come back to this property and enjoy another great stay there!

Great Hotel close to the beach

We stayed for 2 nights as a family of four with 2 teenangers. Everybody loved this hotel for their hospitality, location, food and comfort of the rooms. Would highly recommend this to anybody wanting to spend some peaceful vacation time near the beach.

Office and reception staff was not friendly

Came in late and in heavy rain staff did not introduce the properties. They were unhelpful. The spa was great and so were the restaurants.

Good hotel to relax and unwind

Relaxing end to a fortnight in India. Hotel was well equipped, rooms were nicely furnished and the view from the pool and restaurant of the sea were lovely. Great seafood restaurant on the beach within the hotel compound. Not too far from Kovalam, and there are a few very good restaurants nearby towards the beaches if you want to leave the confines of the hotel.
