Great breakfast, a lot of variety, especially fruits. Very clean and nice rooms, cleaning service every day. All the workers were really nice, we enjoyed our stay a lot.

The hotel is on a lovely quiet street. It's an older property but its AC is very good. Ours went out one night and it was fixed immediately. Breakfast was fine. It's very close to tram lines and a short walk to the Andel metro station. The people who work there are very nice.Lots of restaurants in the area.

The hotel is a well lit, clean and organized space. Some people may have an issue because the elevator stops between floors, so you still have to brave some stairs, but it was fine for us. Room was clean, bathroom was good. Shower had good pressure. I thought that the big towel was still not big per my own personal standards, but it was okay.
We were in the room during regular spring weather, so there was no need to turn on the AC, but the room had it. The remote for the AC costs extra per day if you need it though.
Breakfast was good, selection was normal and standard for everyone's needs. Coffee machine was used constantly by me and other guests, that was very nice. Staff in the breakfast room was really super attentive, acting immediately if someone needed assistance or if the table had to be cleared. Can't remember when was the last time I have seen staff so attentive, that was great.
We didn't really have bad experience, except something that was probably cultural for this part of the continent. When something happens that's not planned, Czech people tend to accuse the guest first, then investigate. Our check in for two guests was a couple of days apart, and that broke the staff - they were immediately thinking about charging us extra for the room, breakfast and everything imaginable, just because staff did not share messages about the situation. Where we come from it's nothing unusual, so we didn't take it too serious. That's why we gave it 4 stars.

Hotel is located in good location, walking distance from metro and public transportation, and next to a nice park and many tourist attraction spots. It is near shopping and many restaurants. Room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was included and had nice selection. Staff was helpful; after our check out they let us keep our luggage in their storage until later time, which was very appreciated.

Clean rooms but we stayed 5 nights. Only asked for room to be cleaned once. Did think we would get beds changed but not really a big deal. Overall nice hotel

Desayuno delicioso y variado: El desayuno buffet incluido es simplemente espectacular. Ofrece una amplia variedad de opciones, tanto dulces como saladas, para todos los gustos. ¡Perfecto para empezar el día con energía!

Habitaciones cómodas y funcionales: Mi habitación era limpia, cómoda y tenía todo lo necesario para una estancia agradable. Lo que más me gustó fue la mesa de trabajo, ideal para quienes necesitan trabajar durante su viaje.

Ubicación estratégica: El hotel está muy bien ubicado, con paradas de tranvía y autobús cerca, lo que facilita moverse por la ciudad. Además, hay varios restaurantes y un centro comercial a poca distancia a pie.

Great little tourist hotel in quiet area.

Hotel Petr is a very good choice for tourists. The room and bathroom were both of a well maintained and comfortable standard. Breakfast was good.

Not in the centre but certainly an easy walk to Charles Bridge. These's the important 15 tram stop nearby. Surrounded by parks I enjoyed my morning strolls.

The staff at this hotel helped us get our COVID test (for travel home) and printed out the test results. We arrived via bike and they provided a place inside for us to park our bikes. These aspects of our two night stay were very valuable.

This was our third visit to Prague and the first time on this side of the river. I preferred the other side of the river, but we were still easily able to walk to the castle and all sites on the other side of the river.

This hotel was clean and comfortable and really quite wonderful.

The Hotel is in a great area for visiting Prague, and this with my fourth stay at this property. Next to Petrin Hill, which offers the best views across the city, the hotel is a gentle 30 minute stroll to the castle or Charles Bridge, which leads across the river to the old town square. A regular tram service runs close by too.

This was just off the beaten path enough for us. You're within walking distance to everything, not a lot of drunk tourists screaming in the streets, and all the restaurants in the immediate area are cheaper than the tourists traps. Check in was easy/smooth. Breakfast was O.K. Hotel room was clean and roomy for the week we needed it. The bathtub was HUGE, great for soaking after a long day of walking 10+ miles. Would book again.

Very nice.

Great place for the price. However, could use some new bath towels, they are kinda scratchy. Room was clean and quiet. Location was good. I bought a three day metro pass, but never used it. I was able to walk everywhere from the hotel. Would stay there again.

The property was in a good location and not a far walk to most things we wanted to see... although not right in the centre. The lower room rate means you will be across the bridge and have a bit further to walk, but that was not a problem. Overall clean and comfortable spot... room was very nice and big, just a small bathroom/shower.

Wow, what a wonderful group of people. My family and I stayed here for a couple days and nights. Unfortunately one day our son was sick and throwing up. The ladies cleaned up after him each time without complaint and with total empathy. Amazing people, and a nice hotel in a quieter location not too far off the beaten path.

We thought we booked a 3 stars hotel but it was more than what we expected.
Great quiet residential location with only 3 tram stops to the old town and just a minute walk to a local shopping centre. First impression was a nice hotel's hall with beautiful marble staircase. Good hotel facilities even buying a tram ticket from the reception. Nice hotel room layout with comfortable beds. Very helpful and friendly staffs especially breakfast ladies although some of them did not understand much of English. Forget to mention about delicious breakfast. Enjoy first time in Prague.

the room facing the front road is very noisy, but the two layers of double glass windows (makes four layers of glasses!) sort it out perfectly. I guess it's too much to ask for the breeze AND the quiteness.

Fantastic location! Great neighborhood for parking a car safely. We walked all over Prague from here, not more than 25 mins to furthest reaches of Old Town. Very clean, great breakfast included with stay. Highly recommend the Olympia restaurant nearby.

Small, friendly hotel on a quiet street

I returned to Hotel Petr on my own this May after spending a week there last fall with a Road Scholar program. I arrived quite early, and the receptionist put my luggage in a loccked storage while I jumped on a tram and explored for a couple of hours. On my return, still before the normal check-in time, my room was ready. Later I ran into the owner, Tomas, coming out of the elevator, and we had a pleasant chat about the Road Scholar program. I stayed only two nights this time, prior to heading on to a program in Germany, but look forward to returning to Prague and another stay at Hotel Petr.

3 Days in Prague

The staff were welcoming and spoke English well enough to ensure everything went smoothly. We had some concerns about the cleanliness of our initial room, but the front desk staff were able to place us in another room and made sure the new room was clean and met our standards.

Breakfast was great and the rest of the hotel staff were accommodating. I was also pleased with the location of the hotel and the availability of a secure parking garage.

Hidden gem in Prague

I had so much fun in Prague and my hotel experience at Hotel Petr was awesome. The rooms are so roomy and comfortable. All of the staff were so friendly. When I originally made my reservation I made it for two people, but then another friend joined our trip. I emailed the hotel if an extra person may be added and they replied very quickly and made the reservation changes for me. The hotel is pretty close to everything and close to tram stops and Andel metro station. We used Uber to get around late at night.

Quiet convenient location

Great place to stay with a car as parking is easy. A nice quiet neighbourhood near a tram stop or about a 15 minute walk from the city centre along the river which is very pleasant. Hotel simple and comfortable quiet street and a nice breakfast. Would definitely stay again and would recommend!

The hotel isn't in the heart of the city, but is close enough that you can get there easily. It's also nice to stay somewhere a bit quieter.

The hotel is cute, and clean and has everything you need. Some may find it basic but if you're not staying in your hotel room often its fine.

The breakfast has a nice selection of food.

Great stay!

I was in Prague for work for my first week and stayed elsewhere, but my plans for the second week changed and I found Hotel Petr through this site and got a great deal. Very nice, charming hotel on a very convenient and quiet street. The staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast in the mornings was nice - nothing special, but good food and plenty of it.
This is a great location, in the center, close to many of the sights and very convenient to the Tram.
I loved staying here and I'll return!

Comfortable hotel within 15 min walk of old city

Pleasant staff, nice room with tea making equipment, TV, and a good selection on the buffet breakfast table. A 10 minute walk from the metro station which connects via bus to the Airport. Prague is definitely worth another visit, and I will try to book the same hotel.

Hotel placed in a bit of a back street but within easy walking distance from restaurants, shops and tram stop. Room had all amenities, was very clean and beds comfortable. Only down side was a slight smell of stale smoke. I had to ask for more coffee sachets and milk pots, was informed by the receptionist that only one per person per night was allowed. Never have I been rationed to this amount in any hotel I have stayed! When asking for more it was akin to the scene from Oliver! I was advised that I could get coffee in the breakfast room in the morning - what? in my nightwear? Otherwise we had a nice time and would stay again and recommend this hotel.

Affordable and close to Prague's city center

The hotel was nice, clean and well-maintained. Location of the hotel was really good and considering the price of the room and that it takes less than 10 minutes to Prague's city center by tram, we couldn't have booked a more affordable hotel. Breakfast buffet menu was limited but sufficient. The only thing that disappointed us was that the hotel staff did not reply to our email to arrange a pick-up from the train station. The hotel offers it on its website though.

Upon performing an inspection of the room, we found both a spider and a larva in our bed. No action was taken to remedy this. Staff missed several wakeup calls. Overall, service was poor.
