Horrendous 2 hour sleep. Room stank of cigarette smoke on arrival via the air conditioning system. It smelled damp and of cigarettes due to the cold air pumped from elsewhere in the building. Sink didn’t drain. Hair came UP out of the plug when you ran the tap water. Trains and noise from station broadcasts carried directly to the room as no protection from it. Would have raised issues had we been at the hotel for longer. As it was, we arrived late and departed early. The service from the reception team far exceeded the quality of the hotel, sleep or condition of the room.

The hotel appeared clean, but there was a terrible odor in our room. We asked for a different room, but the manager came to the room and said he didn’t smell anything and that was how all their room smelled.

We booked a 4 guests room and we had a 2, it took 15 minutes to find a new room. The person at the reception was lost. He had to change the bedsheets and it took another 12 minutes. No parking. Left the car in the street next to it.
The mattress is bended into the middle not comfortable at all.

When I was searching Expedia had an icône indicating that breakfast was included and it was not. I chose on that basis.
The personnel were rude and impolite, trying to lecture me.
I even have to get mad and told them they were impolite.

We've done our time here

Third time of staying but disappointed this time. Booked family room for 4 adults as on previous occasion family room was lovely and spacious. However this time we were cramped into much smaller room which would have been fine for 2 adults and 2 small children. When I asked owner (?) about larger room he was rude, inferring that we expected the best room at a cheaper price. We weren't given the opportunity to say we would have been happy to pay extra for that room. It made me feel really uncomfortable. He later apologised and said the next time if we wanted that room to call direct and state our nationality. To be honest I don't think there will be a next time!

Best Western, better deal !

Well positioned hotel for exploring Blois albeit 10 minutes and up-hill from from true centre of town. Rooms have been modernised and our well designed to make use of original building. Hotel faces onto large car park for Blois station which can be quite lively, at all hours, if people are travelling in large groups.
On the basis of this stay, I have had to re-assess my opinion of Best Western and would cerainly now consider their offering when given a choice.

We are a couple who stayed 3 nights at this hotel in Blois. Its location is excellent, directly opposite the railway station and next door to a bakery and a restaurant (which is not part of the hotel, despite appearances). Our room was spacious and comfortable: a large bed, blackout curtains which help sleep, a large bathroom with 2 wash basins and a hairdryer, an electric kettle and an in-room safe. The wifi is ok.

The room is a bit short on bench space to place things, and the kettle is located next to where clothes hang, which is an unsuitable location for steam to circulate.

The hotel website says that it has laundry facilities. However, this does not mean that it has a laundromat which guests can use; instead the hotel can arrange laundry at EUR12 per load.

Coralie in reception is very helpful. The front desk manager would promote the hotel better if he was friendly.

Smelly room

The room reeked of cigarette smoke. The hotel staff was unsympathetic and slightly rude when we brought the issue to his attention. Because it was a holiday week there were no other rooms available. They tried to mask the smell with some type of spray but it only slightly made the stay more tolerable. Other than the smell, the room was decent and comfortable.

Great hotel in Blois!

My daughter and I stayed here for just one night and were very pleased with everything about this hotel. First, it is literally right across the street from the train station which was great. We arrived mid-morning and room was not yet available but we were warmly welcomed and given information about the local area. We were able to leave our luggage and set off to explore. Once we checked into our room, we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was and the full stand up shower was a nice change from other places we stayed on our trip. The towels were also great - nice and fluffy! The free wifi was also a plus. We decided to eat breakfast at the hotel and were once again pleasantly surprised. The breakfast room was quite large, very bright and comfortable. The food selection was outstanding with everything from eggs, sausage, pastries, cereal, bread, cold cuts, cheese, etc.
We were able to leave our luggage again while we explored some more chateaus before leaving on the train that evening. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Disapointing treatment

Used this hotel as a starting point for visiting some of the Loire Valley Chateaux. Rooms were clean and comfortable and everything worked OK so no complaints there. I stayed at a few hotels on this trip and frankly don't recall if this one has an elevator so if that is important to you because of heavy luggage, disability, etc., better to double-check with the hotel before booking. As I found out on this trip, that is a smart thing to do anyway because a couple of the hotels I had used were advertised as having elevators but did not, in fact, have one - example was the Best Western in Chinon. As far as staff is concerned, That would be the one reason I would never stay there again. I am very particular when it comes to how I am treated by hotel staff since, after all, I am a paying guest. The reason for my displeasure is that after having checked out, we went to have breakfast next door and my wife needed to use the rest room. She went back to the hotel not more than 20 minutes after checking out and was refused access to the toilet there. It was not until a male companion traveling with us escorted her back to the hotel that they finally relented and allowed her to use the facilities. That kind of treatment is INEXCUSABLE in my book and certainly not something you would expect from a hotel chain like Best Western.

The BW has the perfect location in Blois! It is directly across from the train station & right beside an excellent patisserie! You could set out for any tour from there. The rooms are lovely & comfortable and very soundproof. The staff was helpful & friendly. I would stay there again & recommend it to others:)

My sister and I stayed at the Best Western Blois Chateau for a few days prior and linked to a self-guided cycle tour starting in Blois. the Hotel was very convenient to the Train station, quiet ( we had a back room) but rather squeezy for 2 people - we had a \"so called twin room\". The breakfast was very nice, and staff helpful with the biking tour and things to do in Blois prior to our trip commencement. There were no amenities to speak of, but be warned that there is no laundry service in France. This was hard for us, as this was at the end of 8 weeks travelling elsewhere in Europe.

this was great to stay in this hotel. good comfort, mattress was a relief after a day visiting the Loire castles. it would be good for them to have an elevator installed. Usually when you stay in a hotel you have some luggages... hotel is not central to the city, but close to the train station. that could be convenient for some travelers.

The hotel is in a good location across the street from the train station. Renovated rooms were very clean, staff was friendly and spoke English. A breakfast is available but is rather pricey for what you get - 15 euros for fruit, coffee, yoghurt, cereal and pastries. There is a bakery next door that is better. Parking can be expensive. All that said, Blois was a dirty and smelly place, I did not enjoy being there. There are much better places to stay in the Loire. We only stayed one night and that was too long for me..

Good location for station. Hotel small and basic with no restaurant or bar but it is new clean and modern and served its purpose for a couple of nights. Small breakfast room for 10 Euros per person for a small but pleasant breakfast. About a 10 min walk into town. Restaurant next door and a cafe near by. Nice area . Good sound proofing for noise which there wasn't much of outside but we did visit in January.Fab town with a market on Saturdays which is worth a visit.Staff friendly and very helpful in hotel

This was a very comfortable renovated hotel. It was in a neighborhood quite a ways away from everything. The dark haired girl who checked us in at night was VERY unfriendly and not helpful. To the question \"would you recommend a restaurant?\" She simply said \"No.\" And it was not die to a language barrier.

A five minute walk to the Chateau

The hotel is stunningly new, contemporary, and well worth the price of admission. The staff was polite and accommodating. The room was much larger than those in Paris and had all the accoutrements you'd expect to see in more expensive abodes. There is a lovely patisserie next door with great baked goods. The train station is immediately across the street where you'll pay a nominal amount each day to park there. The Chateau Blois is around the corner. Wonderful restaurants are within a 10 minute walk along the river. We highly recommend this \"Chateau.\" Well done, Best Western!

La chambre sous les toits est cosy, confortable. Les draps de bain sont doux, epais et tres propres. On a apprécié le gel douche de marque Nuxe au miel. On a noté cependant une fuite au bas de la vitre de la douche, l eau s écoule dans la salle de bain. Dans la chambre, une veilleuse, à gauche ne fonctionnait pas. Notre sejour n a pas été gâché pour autant. Et je recommande cet hôtel avec un excellent rapport qualité prix.

La chambre est propre mais petite, la literie plutôt correcte, les équipements corrects... Si l'ensemble est correct, cet hôtel est un peu en dessous des standards habituels des hôtels Best Western.
Le petit-déjeuner sous forme de buffet est plutôt bien garni.

Ne prenez pas de petit déjeuner, c’est la catastrophe. Préférez la boulangerie qui est à côté de l’hôtel. L’hôtel et les chambres sont agréable mais le petit déjeuner est rationné alors qu’il est facturé 15 euros. Je pense que cet Etablissement connaît des difficultés.. qui ne sont pas habituelles dans un hôtel Best Western…

le pire hôtel !

Je passe la moitié de ma vie dans les hôtels. Or mon passage dans cet hôtel de Blois est la pire expérience de ma vie : le patron est agressif et colérique envers son personnel comme les clients; l'hôtel est mal tenu, sale, des objets cassés. Après le ménage de notre chambre, la porte n'a pas été fermée, l’ascenseur ne marchait pas, beaucoup de bruit autour, c'est hôtel est une catastrophe !

Empfang im Hotel war nicht freundlich, wir waren früher da und ohne Begrüßung vorab, wurden wir gleich darauf hingewiesen das wir nicht auf die Zimmer können.....war uns eigentlich egal! Kein Raum wo die Koffer abgestellt werden können sondern mitten im Empfang/ Rezeption stehen lassen..
Das Frühstück wurde nicht aufgefüllt...war denen irgendwie egal....
Das Bad und Zimmer in die Jahren gekommen schade!

Ma salle de bain et celle de ma collègue connaissaient toutes les deux des grosses fuites : inondations. Personnel prévenu mais aucun changement durant notre visite de trois nuits.
Chasse d’eau qui fuit, et plein de petits détails.
Dommage cela pourrait être un très bel hôtel.

Accueil glacial, chambre réservée pour deux nuits. À l’arrivée, moquette sale, particules noires sur les draps de ma fille. Deux distributeurs de savons qui ne fonctionnaient. Aucun autre produit de soins. Mais surtout des la première nuit fuite sous la vasque et à chaque utilisation du lavabo nous ayant imposé d’éponger les flaques avec les serviettes de bains. Le gérant s’est étonné le lendemain nous avouant qu’il avait réparé lui même la fuite et qu’en faisant couler l’eau 30 minutes il n’avait rien constaté.
Nous sommes partis au bout d’une nuit tellement ce fut désagréable. Le gérant a consenti à un modeste dédommagement mais il voulait nous facturer initialement la seconde nuit alors que la fuite avait repris de plus belle le matin de notre départ. Bien évidemment les distributeurs à savon n’avaient pas été réparés non plus. J’oubliais les joints sales et jaunes de la salle de bains.
Bref à fuir…
Ne mérite aucunement ses trois étoiles. Sa localisation sauve cet hôtel et piège les gens !
Sur trip advisor il existe bien d’autres avis concernant l’accueil déplorable et en juillet 2019, un avis démontre que cette même fuite existait déjà et à pourri le séjour des personnes concernées.
Réservez ailleurs !

Chambre un peu petite mais sans problème si ce n est pas pour y rester 1 semaine (et étaler ses affaires). Chambre au calme sur l arrière.
Bien pour le Pdj complet ou formule « légère » à 6 euros. Même si une boulangerie est au pied de l hôtel.
Parking gratuit à 50m dans la rue de la gare sinon payant sur parking de la gare.

Bonne adresse

Une nuit à deux dans une chambre relativement spacieuse. Très bon accueil, sympathique et avec de bons conseils sur les restaurants et sorties. Situé proche de la gare avec stationnement aisé à proximité, proche du château et du centre.

Nice team and great location

The team is super nice. The hotel is very clean and calm. The bed was very comfortable, we had a great rest. Its 5 minutes walk from the castel and restaurants.
The rooms are very small versus price in the region, only one suitcase can fit

기차역 바로 앞에 있음. 호텔 바로 옆엔 빵집이 있어서 좋음. 생각보다 방이 좀 작아서 답답했던 게 살짝 아쉬웠음. 청결상태나 직원 서비스는 좋음.

It is very easy to find this hotel from the train station. There is a bakery next to the hotel, so you can have fresh bread and coffee. The room is a bit smaller than I expected, but it is clean and the staffs were nice.

bien bon accueil, préciser peut etre dans votre annonce que l hotel est situé en face de la gare sncf, moins flateur qu a 200 metres du chateau mais plus facile a trouver
