Great location . Desk clerk was efficient and courteous. Stored our luggage until the room was ready. However staff should have carried our luggage to our room when the room was ready. No English speaking television even though s card near the tv indicated there was English tv . When we asked at the desk he said quote “ not on.” No explanation . Good breakfast provided in a pretty setting. Bathroom has a tub - with black marks on the tub . Definitely could use a modern shower update. Pillows were too soft . No alternative to very very very soft pillows. Hotel was quiet for sleeping purposes. We would stay here again if we visited Wittenberg .

My room was clean and comfortable. I had a view of the front of the hotel close to elevators which made me happy. The bathroom was spacious and had a shelf in the shower for my shampoo etc. Breakfast was very good with outdoor seating available. Outdoor space was open all day to sit and relax with a cool dring.

The Best Western in the quaint town of Lutherstadt-Wittenberg is excellent. It’s located on Collegienstrasse which gives guest easy access to food, shopping, and all the major sights. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is professional and very helpful.

The room was extremely nice and roomy and the breakfast was perfect. The location puts you at a 10 minute walk from the train station and is 100m from the LutherHaus. The staff speaks English and are helpful.

Hotel is OK. Nothing too bad, nothing too good. Food is fine, service can be very slow. Rooms are OK - bedding poor. Pillows too soft and single quilts on a double bed are frustrating. Air conditioning is a joke - it just circulates warm air and cools nothing. No mosquito nets on the windows and they have to be open to try and get some cool air.
There are other places to eat and drink - so you don't have to stay at the hotel.
I also found the restaurant staff asking for cash instead of just putting food and drink onto my room - that sounded like a fiddle to me. It was done in the end, but it shouldn't be a problem in a modern day hotel that is billed as 4 star.

Misrepresentation of accommodations

I reserved and received confirmation for a Kingsize bed. I was given a room with twin beds pushed together. I was told the \"room\" was Kingsize, not the bed! There was no air conditioning in my room and was told that only 8 rooms in the hotel had air conditioning; a detail no one brought to my attention during the reservation process. The front desk staff spoke little or no English making ommunication very difficult. Unforeseen circumstances required me to leave a day early which I told front desk the day before I left. They told me \"no refund\" would be given because the reservation was made online which added insult to poor service and deceptive advertising.

We had a quick overnight trip to meet up with a friend. This hotel was so nice that I wish we could have stayed longer! The room was enormous by European standards, and the breakfast offered options to please the majority of palates: cooked eggs, sausage, & bacon, yogurt, cold cereal, breads, meat, & cheese. I'm sure I'm missed some of the options.

The only downside is that there is renovation happening at a nearby building (Melanchthon House?) and there was work noise beginning at 7:30am. But that is not the fault of the hotel and they have a notice posted in the elevator warning that it may happen.

I was in Lutherstadt Wittenberg for two nights, so I could be there for Ash Wednesday. The hotel staff were very helpful, though not as proficient in English as in western Germany. I speak a little German. I was especially impressed by the food and wine in the hotel restaurant. They have a wonderful chef. The breakfast was HUGE and very varied. Go here if only for the food!

Overall, a great hotel with a terrific location. Great buffet for breakfast. Only concern was a sewage smell from the toilet in our room. We also did not have any water in the morning for a few hours with no explanation given but we did see pails around the lobby collecting water.

Ankom sent efter midnat og check-in gik hurtigt og nemt. Det var bl.a.. også derfor jeg bookede dette hotel pga det er døgnåbent i receptionen. Google Maps kunne desværre ikke finde den tætteste parkering i første omgang - så jeg måtte køre lidt rundt pga ensrettede gader. Men bagved hotellet var der en masse parkeringspladser (100m derfra). Udemærket hotel og venligt personale. God morgenmad. Værelset var også udemærket.

Das Comfort-Zimmer hat sich als Apartment entpuppt. Da es tagsüber sehr warm war, hat man abends im Zimmer kaum Luft bekommen. Um 7:00 Uhr morgens wurde man durch lautes Brummen der Lüftungsanlage geweckt. Eine Klimaanlage gibt es allerdings nur in Executiv-Zimmern. Das Bad war ok aber ein Duschvorhang für die Badewanne ist ziemlich altmodisch.

Stsdet og hotel var ok.
Havde bestilt et handicap venæigt værelse det virkede ikke og parkering var ikke meget besværligt - da vi kom åå værelset var der ikke noget lys alle lamper var ude af deres kontaktet kun badeværelse virkede.
Der var også indelukkeet og varmt på værelset der manglede virkelig udluftning.
Vi følte os ikke særligt velkomne.
Morgenmad var fint intet manglede og et godt bredt udvalg med smilende personale.

Wir wollten auf der Durchreise einen Tag in Lutherstadt-Wittenberg verbringen, um die Stadt zu erkunden.
Lutehrstadt-Wittenberg ist wirklich eine sehr schöne Stadt, die eine Reise wert ist.

Da die Zimmer jedoch erst ab 15.00 Uhr frei waren, wir aber schon früher da waren, konnten wir bereits die notwendigen Formulare ausfüllen. Als wir später tatsächlich eincheckten, bekamen wir von einer anderen Rezeptionistin nur die Schlüsselkarten ohne irgendwelche Informationen bezüglich des Frühstücks usw.
Leider war im Zimmer der Teppich fleckig und schon recht heruntergekommen. Auch hatte offenbar die Zimmerreinigung ein unagenehm riechendes Mittel verteilt. Diese Information an der Rezeption wurde lapidar mit den Worten beantwortet, das Hotel wäre ausgebucht und ein anderes Zimmer wäre nicht bereit. Unser Zimmer sei zuvor von einem Stammgast belegt gewesen. Nach stundenlangem Lüften verschwand der Geruch.
Der Check-out am nächsten Tag hätte bis 12.00 Uhr erfolgen müssen. Bereits um 08.50 Uhr kam das Reingungspersonal und wollte das Zimmer für den nächsten Besuch vorbereiten. Nach kurzem Klopfen stand die Dame auch schon in unserem Zimmer.
Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht wieder buchen.

Für unseren Kurztrip nach Wittenberg hatten wir das Best Western gebucht.

Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal. In knapp 15 Minuten ist man vom Bahnhof zu Fuß im Hotel. Das Lutherhaus ist nur wenige Schritte entfernt und auch der Marktplatz mit Restaurants ist in wenigen Minuten fußläufig erreichbar.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Die Zimmer zweckmäßig ausgestattet, gut gepflegt und sauber.
Auch das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut.
Für einen Besuch in Wittenberg können wir das Hotel empfehlen!

Die Unterbringung war gut. Meine Ehefrau muss sich mit einem Rollator fortbewegen. Eine ebenerdige Erreichbarkeit des Zimmers wäre gut gewesen. Eine Badewanne als Duschmöglichkeit ist auch nicht optimal. Personal war sehr aufmerksam und nett. Klimaanlage im Hotelflur auch über Nacht sehr geräuschintensiv.

Ärgerlich ist es, wenn man extra eine Unterkunft wählt, die ein Restaurant und eine Bar hat, diese aber beide nicht nutzen kann, weil es anscheinend sehr \"plötzlich\" krankheitsbedingt kein Personal dafür gibt. Im Aufzug aber schon ausschließlich auf die geschlossenen Bereiche zum Wochenende hingewiesen wird.
Wegen einer eingeschränkten Gehfähigkeit war das Restaurant erforderlich. Noch nicht einmal ein Bier konnte man bekommen!
Im Baubereich war eine sehr versiffte, alte Toilettenbürste, wie ich sie in bisher keinem Hotel gesehen habe.
Eine Empfehlung zu diesem, nicht gut geführtem Haus, kann man nicht geben.

Sehr gutes Hotel für einen Kurztrip, perfekte Lage in der Fußgängerzone, einfaches Parken in der Tiefgarage (kostenpflichtig) oder wenige Gehminuten hinterm Haus auf öffentlichen Parkplätzen. Sicher, gut ausgestattet, etwas in die Jahre gekommene Zimmereinrichtung aber sehr guter Standard und alles da: TV, Telefon, Kühlschrank, etc. Kommen gerne wieder!

Am Empfang hätte ich mir eine umfangreichere Erläuterung in einer etwas freundlicheren Art gewünscht, oft wurde einiges an Wissen vorausgesetzt, was man als erstmalig dort übernachtender Gast gar nicht wissen kann. So etwas gehört für mich zum Service am Empfang. Die Mitarbeiter beim Frühstück und das Housekeeping-Team waren sehr nett.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sicher super, besser geht es kaum. Man hat allerdings den Eindruck, dass das Hotel deswegen keine wesentlichen Anstrengungen unternehmen muss, um ausgelastet zu sein. Die Zimmer sind durchaus großzügig, aber in einem dunklen Holzton gehalten und damit doch recht bedrückend. Sie haben keine Klimaanlage (was ich vorher wusste). Unser Zimmer war bei der Anreise sehr warm. Abends lüften ging auch nicht, weil in den späten Abendstunden von der Innenstadt ständig lautstarke, angetrunkene Gruppen vorbeigezogen sind. Man hatte also nur die Wahl zwischen heißem Zimmer oder Ruhe.

Ventilator im Familienzimmer

Wir hatten das Zimmer 210 und es war okay. Glücklicherweise gab es einen Ventilator für das Zimmer so war die Nacht erträglich. Leider gab es kein Mückenschutz. Frühstück war gut!

schlecht
insbesondere jüngere Personen des Service im Restaurant scheinen den Sinn der Maskenpflicht nicht zu begreifen: der Mund ist bedeckt, die Nase jedoch nicht!

Perfekt beliggenhed og god service

Hotellet er del af Best Western, men har stadig charme og personlighed. Trods corona kunne vi få både aftensmad i restauranten (hvor tjeneren var dygtig og imødekommende) og morgenmad. Beliggenheden ved siden af Lutherhaus er perfekt.
