I am coming to this hotel about once a year since 2017.

Rooms are spacious and clean. I had the Junior Suite and I enjoyed having a proper desk, a separate simple seating area, and a kitchen with flowing water.

The attached shopping mall has degraded a bit since pre-covid times and dining options there are very limited now. Anyhow, there is local food in easy walking distance, and a large, modern shopping mall with plenty of dining options a 15 minute walk away.

Breakfast in the hotel I like less and less though, as variety and quality have degraded over time, eg only Cafe Americano from the machines, blue-ish scrambled eggs, and resupply problems at the buffet from 07:15 onwards.

Lousy Hotel

The room was spacious and the decoration original. Service and cleanliness was quite excellent.
The hotel restaurant was struggling with resupplying the breakfast buffet at busy times in the morning, which requires improvement.
The adjacent mall used to contain dining options for the evening, which is no longer the case. Most of the dinner options close to the hotel require cash payment, and according advice by the hotel would be helpful.

Overall experience stay is satisfactory. Room is spacious and clean, with simple deco. I got a room not facing the main road/highway, so it was nice and quiet. it would be nice to add another chair to the room. Nice to see real plants in and outside the hotel. There is a gym and pool for visitors especially business travellers to wind down. It's good to have recycling bins near the lobby. Staff are friendly. The mall next door is easiy accessible but most shops have closed down. Limited eateries that are walking distance near the hotel at night.

The hotel is a nice hotel. Centrally located, but it is a little dated. My biggest disappointment however is that it is next to the highway, and the windows are not soundproof. I could hear the traffic all night, which disrupted my sleep. The staff was however nice and accommodating. I would stay again if not a room near the highway.

My room has 3 residents, they always refilled items for 2 persons only and I have to told them every day for it.

Short stay at Vivatel

Checked in almost at 12 midnight. Check in was not very fast but the staff was pleasant enough. Room showed some signs of aging but still acceptable. Depending which bed you sleep on, one may feel warmer than the other person due to poor air con distribution. Toiletries are of designer quality but short of providing the comb. Breakfast spread is good. Overall staff is friendly.

Nice hotel but service not as expected

1st of all I booked room with king size bed and i pay for it via expedia. Once arrive the receptionist told me that they only have two single bed room. Then I ask to provide any other room with king size bed and I’ll pay the xtra amount. They said cant provide. This is 1st hotel saying that cant upgrade the room even Im willing to pay.

2nd thing in the morning I cant get my transport and I were rushing to go to KL sentral. They said they can provide hotel transport but RM80. Viva hotel to KL Sentral RM80. No logic at all. But because of the timing and im rushing I just accept it. Then receipt provided n Ask me to pay to the driver.

Eventough hotel is good but poor staff made my day worst.

Nice Hotel, and walking distance to where I work

Nice hotel. Front Desk Staff are friendly and helpful. Asked me if I prefer a king bed! The staff at Retro cafe are also friendly and allow me to use one of their table for some discussion. Wifi in the lobby is strong. The hotel is linked to the mall behind and convenient for me to find food.

Bad experience in front office, I was walk in at the first place, been stayed here for 4-5times, and I'm local not from China, staff name Farah told me only Swiss Room available cost RM500, maybe she want to up sale the room, but then after 5minute, I'm manage to get a normal room from online which is cost RM200, I'm went back and check in, she is not even smile with me, I hope the staff can be more patient and friendly to the guest as myself been work in 5-7stars hotel before.

Good value but service to be improved!

Room was spacious & clean....except that the Aircon was not so cold and I had a friend staying in another room the Aircon was totally not cold. However, after complaining for 1 day, the hotel finally upgraded him to a suite.

Location is good, not far from the city! However the mall next to the hotel was quiet and not many patrons! Nothing to shop except furniture!

hotel looks new but room not up to standard

First night I got a room with faulty air conditioning. The hotel staff upgraded me the next day to a deluxe suite, but the suite got no hot water in the bathroom. The staff said they couldn’t change another room as there were no more available rooms. The staff had been helpful but the condition of the hotel rooms really need to improve, especially this is quite a new hotel.

It was satisfied to stay in the hotel. Room was excellent, clean and tidy. Our stay was very comfortable with parking availability as well. Staff also good and helpful. Except only one thing, we got twin single bed that joined together so it was bit unconfortable when the bed moving while sleep. But overall it was worth to stay at the hotel.

It is a fairly new hotel and the view from our room was nice. We got to wake up with the view of the towers. Breakfast was fairly good although for some reason they stated on their paper that there would only be one person having breakfast when i booked the hotel for 2 person. A little confusion there but overall everything was ok for 4 star hotel. Hotel is also right in a shopping mall so its pretty convenient.

for me i feel this hotel offers great value for the price of stay, location wise is not bad as within walking distance of 10-15 mins have shopping mall with many eateries and items. beside this hotel is another shopping mall, but it is more for locals in my opinion as its more for furniture and home appliances purchase, other than some food places.

Overall I found the hotel and my room clean and quiet. Everything is in order except one thing: the two double beds wobble when I am sleeping on them. Both of them must have at least one leg shorter than others and they wobble if I am turning over to sides to sleep.

A broken room was given to me. No slippers, no sofa. The decorative glass was broken. Door could not be locked unless you gave a big push. Towel is not enough. Lighting in bath room is dim. I asked them to give me an iron, but no socket is fit for it.

Why I did not change room? I had booked a room with king bed, but they had none except this one.

First time in Kuala Lumpur. Was very impressed with Vivatel Hotel. It is attached to a huge shopping mall with food and drink options. Not much around the area, you needed to take the train or taxi to get downtown. Room was very spacious with King sized bed and large flat screen TV. Free WiFi. Very good hotel and not very expensive.

Room is big a pity that bathroom and bedroom are connected via a sliding door which make it very inconvenient as we can see people inside bathing or visiting the Tories and worst only one plug in the bathroom instead of the bedroom. Overall the stay is good and very easy access to mall.

While I stayed here last 2 years when it is still new...I like it a lot. But the recent stay does not command the same comfortness as things were not maintain...floor are full of scaffs, wall with scratches likely caused by renovation. Toilet seat loosing screw...
Receiving staff not attentive...Likely would not stay here anymore.

Our Stay at Vivatel KL.

Vivatel is an okay hotel. The swimming pool was closed during our stay, the cleaning staff wasn't very effective and even though we were on a non-smoking floor our halls some times smelled like smoke, and once after having our room cleaned our room smelled like someone had just smoked in it! The rooms are nice, very modern very silver and shiny. It is very convenient that it is connected to a mall, with everything you need in it. It was a cheap price for our stay and we would consider returning.

Noise from water pipes is terrible

The noise from what the staff say is the water pipes is terrible. The management know about the problem, but don't do anything about it, supposedly because the hotel has few overseas guests and the locals don't complain. You hear bang, bang, bang 3 times every 2 seconds. The staff told me the floor the problem is occurring on varies from time to time. I will not stay there again. I moved out 2 days earlier and went somewhere else. I don't recommend you go there.

Bad experiences in Vivatel hotel

I have stayed in vivatel hotel almost every months for my business trip. Just within 2 yrs, i have witnessed the deterioration process in quality of services and utilities. It is not worth staying now. Air-con is making a lot of noises.No face and hand towels. Bath room floor trap choked, and shower equipments are falling apart. Bed legs are loosen and making noises. The new staffs are not friendly and do not treasure old customers, simply because high percentage of rooms are tendered to tour agencies.
