I stayed at Seeds Hotel Premier Pudu (formerly Hotel Pudu Plaza) and found it to be a solid choice for a basic, affordable stay. We booked a room for 5 and were pleasantly surprised to find it was actually two rooms joined by a connecting door. Having 3 beds and 2 bathrooms for the 4 of us made the stay very comfortable and spacious.

The room felt relatively clean and was not dusty, which I really appreciated. The location is also convenient; there are many food options nearby, a supermarket within the same building, and even a coin laundry nearby, which is perfect for us travelers.

My only complaint was the bathroom; the water pressure was really very weak, and there was a lack of hot water for one of the bathrooms. If they could improve the plumbing, this would be an unbeatable budget stay!

Terrible cleanliness, not ready for guest

We arrive at mid night and the front desk staff said cannot find our booking
After half and hour he told us to wait for the room being clean
But when we enter the room, is was terrible but we are so tired to change another one, definitely don’t want to stay another night so we decided to change another for the next night

Besides, we carrying heavy luggage but the hotel front door have stairs, very inconvenient to us

The property used to be good , but now it’s terrible. No maintenance .. the rooms are smelly , moisture everywhere, not clean, bedsheets looks are being used for more than 5 years and never changed .

Hotel Review.

WiFi in room always at 1bar & frequently stopped.
Bathroom has no rack for hanging bathing towels. Hand towel supposedly available as listed as sales item but only provided if you ask for it from front office. Housekeeping will tell you no available. TV remote not working properky after new one issued. No info on TV channels available except for Cable movies so can't view International English news. No info on hotel ammenities, so don't know what hotel has except the attached Shopping Mall. The room it gives me has very narrow bedroom area but hugh walking area at entrance of room. Bed is soft but no space to move between bed & TV as I spent a fair bid of time in room.Bathroom very small if you are a large guy not enough space to maneuver, very resticted space. Tap beside toilet leaking. Hand shower not funtioning properly & no glass on wash hand basin. Has smoking rooms on top 4 floors but listed as non-smoking hotel. Very secure hotel as you need to tap your room card on entering lift to press your floor button.
Only consulation is there are plenty of delicious & yummy coffeeshop food stores in the vicinity not to mentioned savory black coffee day or night. Offer free shuttle buses to popular Shopping Mall like Bukit Bintang & IKEA Cheras.

Location of the hotel is strategic

Hotel is near from the mall e.g, ikea cheras my town, mid valley. Near from the LRT station. For a Muslim, there are no restaurant near the hotel, but you can go to Kg. Baru. It’s only take about 5 minutes driving.

Stayed here for 2nights February. Cost only 17 ringgit from Kuala Lumpur Sentral by taxi so I thought that was good. Comfy bed. Wifi was good enough. Check in staff weren't very friendly but I had seen this in other reviews. Joel was friendly at reception. Easy walk to pudu station so we took trains for our stay. I probably wouldn't recommend catching train here on your own at night time as the station is down an alley sort of. A good food spot for breakfast is Ali food corner just a block from hotel, chicken rotti was delicious.

I almost missed my flight

Frontdesk told me it takes more than 2 hours to go airport, so they will book me a taxi instead. However, after long wait for the taxi, 2 hours left for my flight, there was no any further info. Frontdesk told me to ask information department, information departments told me check with Frontdesk... it was awfully awful and irritated. I got taxi myself and taxi driver told me it only take 45 mins by train to airport. It's a totally terrible hotel to stay. Full of lies and no responsibility.

We check in at hotel a bit late and we have smooth transcation at the reception but just disappointed that before booking i already check that our stay with 3 breakfirst but when arrive at the hotel they say that our stay not included breakfirst. we dont hv time to check with hotel.com because only stay for 1 night..but really disappointed with hotel.com because they mantion have breakfirst but in our booking details don't have..the price that we paid are included breakfirst..actualy its is my first time booking with hotel.com and get this experiance. so guys if you want to booking using hotel.com please get extra check b4 you place the order to avoid the same experiance like me...the hotel is good to stay..tq

Hotel is in a nice location, surrounded by interesting local restaurants.
Room is modern, with many electrical outlets and a big television set. Wi-Fi was horrible, unfortunately. Bed comfortable, if a little soft. Well cleaned, quiet, good shower pressure. Staff polite and friendly. For the price, it warrants a recommendation!

overall this hotel is a great budget hotel. the price is fine for what we got and for the location.
there are often noisy people in other rooms at any hotel you go to, which is annoying. there were a few here, but not too many.
i did not eat at the hotel, because a friend informed me that the buffet is not very impressive, and for the price, i did not want to risk being disappointed. there is plenty of choice outside around the hotel!

Hotel was easy to find. Staffs are nice and helpful except a receptionist. Booked 2 non smoking room but got 1 non smoking room and 1 smoking room. Late check in at 3pm as 1 of the room was not ready and they need an hour to clean up. Room was big, clean and cozy. Disappointed for smoking room as the room was heavy smoke and have stains at the floor and pillow. Toiletries does not included toothbrush and toothpaste. Overall is still ok.

The hotel are ok when thinking of the price. Not much service but there are options just outside the door, and it's cheap.
We tried the breakfast and it was ok. If you want there are coffee shops around the coner with great roties for breakfast too.
There are many food options near by. I think public transportation is a bit difficult. We used taxis and they was quite cheap. The hotel had a deal with a taxi company where you get it cheap for the airport.
Overall a good experience.

The front desk was very unhelpful. You had to ask them for the things that were included i.e. Breakfast being included, booking a room that was supposed to have a window but didn't. You had to ask or they wouldn't provide even though it was in the reservation. The staff didn't know their surroundings and they didn't have maps. Checking out the person at the front desk was rude.

It was a pleasant stay with Hotel Pudu Plaza. I was reached way too earlier than check-in time yet they ask the cleaning crew to get it cleaned ASAP therefore I get my room key a bit earlier than check-in time, I feel this was very kind of them to be so considerate. Parking is convenient as the hotel and their carpark share the same lift for easy access, and it's free too for hotel customer. My prior consideration is bathroom cleanness which this hotel never fails me. Comes with water heater and hair dryer, wash basin. One thing that I'm not impressed is about the fridge. The fridge in my room spoiled, even it does work normally, room power will be cut off when the card key is not inserted, therefore it means nothing for putting a small fridge inside the room

Great Superior Room in hotel, but area not flashy

Went for work to KL and had to be located in Pudu to be close to a partner's office. The area is not that clean, but I didn't feel unsafe. It is however a lower socio-economic neighbourhood, so don't expect flashy surroundings. I didn't catch trains as taxis were easy to book and inexpensive for travel.. Eg. Taxi from hotel to KLCC was MYR 12. What was great was the hotel service, and my Superior Room was super comfortable with modern interiors. Front desk is always manned and need to swipe card to get to the floors with rooms...felt secure. There is a desk to book tours and taxis etc. The hotel is connected to a plaza/mall with a supermarket, some cafes, currency exchange and ATMs. Again, nothing flashy. I really was pleasantly surprised about what I got for what I paid. Cheap for being close to the city. Taxi to airport cost MYR 90. Breakfast was good too.

Cheap Hotel with Adequate facilities

I have stayed at the Pudu Plaza twice. The rooms and bedding are kept clean and are adequately comfortable. The area around the hotel is not particularly upscale but there are some decent little restaurants.

The water pressure in the shower is adequate but not exceptional. As with many cheap hotels the fixtures that hold the shower head up are not properly maintained and since they are made of plastic, tend not to work well. Usually you can jam a piece of plastic bottle or something in the fixture so it stays in place.

The showers also leak water on the floor. Set the shower head so it sprays towards the wall and don't bother laying the bathmat down before you take your shower. Just let the water that leaks from the shower go down the floor drain and then use the bathmat to dry the floor after you have finished your shower.

The concierge named Gary Leow is a really, really nice guy and does his very best to help fix any problems. If you are an anglophone, Gary's English is quite fluent.

On my first trip I had a windowless room which was a bit claustrophobic and the wifi signal wasn't very good. I had to take my laptop to the lobby to get a decent signal from the wifi. On the second visit I had a room with a window and the wifi signal was good.

All in all the hotel has faults but is worth 100 ringgit per night if you want a cheap hotel. It is also right next to the Pudu LRT station (the city's above ground Metro system).

First family room we got, bathroom was flooded. Then after waiting for a while they changed to another family room on a different level & we saw a huge red BED BUG on the bed. Immediately we decided we cant stay in this hotel & manager tried to encourage us to stay in another room but eventually after several hours, we got refund & went to another hotel. I was travelling with my old parents so it was a bad experience.

Hotel was perfectly located for getting around KL - plus the immediate neighborhood had an endless variety of outstanding local eateries. Rooms were clean and spacious, and those on the north (front) side of the building had good views of the Petronas Towers. Wifi was generally slow. Staff helpfulness varied tremendously, and they were either extremely accommodating or disorganized and unhelpful (night shift vs. morning shift). Catching a cab from the street outside was fairly easy. Would stay again.

On the outside the hotel does not impress. Its a 3 stars hotel after all. But the interior looks newly renovated.
The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean. However it is not sound proof. Could hear a couple next door arguing in the mid of the night.
The location is great. The hotel is adjoin to a shopping mall. Many eateries - hawker stalls, restaurants at the surrounding walking distance.
We traveled by car so free parking was a great plus for us as we know it is very expensive to park in KL.
Overall, not too bad for the price we paid for.

The hotel is only 12 months old, so nice and new.
We had a high room with a great view over the city. The twin towers were lovely lit up at night.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, however the breakfast staff didn't bother to speak. The breakfast itself was very basic.
We returned to the hotel when passing through KL the second time cause it suited our needs.
The only downside is the immediate area is a bit run down.

Took a while for the staff to find our booking. After 20 minutes we finally checked in and found the room clean and comfortable. The travel agency next to the hotel elevators should be avoided (it looks as if it is attached to the hotel but it isn't). Apart from being grossly overpriced the agency didn't keep their word (we ordered an airport taxi for 6:00am travel and by 6:30am it still hadn't arrived!).

Was a bit unsure about booking this hotel due to no reviews being left for it - but got to say I Am very happy I did!!! Newish hotel that has been looked after (so far), classified as a budget hotel but I would place it at the top level of that group. Very comfortable beds to sleep in, great bathrooms, good security, lots of shops around and heaps of places to eat. A short distance from KLCC and very close to times square. Only problems encountered where the local guests who insisted on meeting out in the hotel hallway and talking ( very loudly!) ......I had to ring an complain to reception on a number of occasions about this and wifi wouldnt work for me (something that they need to iron out !)

A Great Budget Hotel For The Adventurous Traveler

When I go to a foreign country, I enjoy connecting with the local folks. This brand new hotel is located in the heart of Pudu, which is about a 30-40 minute walk, south of the urban center of KL. Its about an 8 minute walk from the Pudu subway station. To a Westerner, the neighborhood can seem a bit run-down, but its utterly safe. It's packed with all sorts of small businesses, restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and food stands. I ate everything from Indian, to Thai, to Chinese, to fried chicken, and corn on the cob...mostly from open air eateries. Absolutely delicious and while the hygiene of an open air stand seems abhorrent a Westerner, it was all safe. The hotel is new. It's spotlessly clean newly furnished, and very comfy. Rooms are the typically Spartan Asian hotel rooms with no carpeting and spare furniture, but the bed was wonderful; it had a nice new 39\" LCD with a couple of English channels; fairly good WiFi; lots of AC outlets; a decent writing desk; and a good bathroom with lots of clean towels. The hotel doesn't have tons of amenities, but it directly connected to the Pudu Plaza mall, which has every type of store you could imagine, including an excellent grocery store. Tons of great little restaurants. This is a great home-base for exploring KL. Just a short walk from the subway, or a $4 cab ride from the city center. There isn't much negative to say about the place.The best $29 room I've had anywhere in the world.
