It's a cheap hotel in a prime location. I get that, but the negatives far outweigh that positive. The room is super small, even for one person.

It also smells moldy everytime you enter the room. The bathroom is kinda nasty, I couldn't shake the feeling.

Zero amenities. There is no elevator so you're SOL if you've got heavy luggage. They did help me with my luggage tho.

Walls are paper thin and people who were there during my 3 night stay were obnoxiously loud. Keep in mind there's a club/lounge next door which was blasting music into the wee hours of the morning. The walls were literally shaking. Thankfully I had ear plugs.

Customer service is just standard, nothing above and beyond or anything.

I'm all for a good deal, but this wasn't it. But as they say, you get what you pay for!

Good for people with no knee problem

We were greeted by friendly staff and check-in was quick.
Our room was 212 (Third Floor) so the music from next door club at night was subtle.
Room was spacious and clean.
TV only have local channels and advertising media.
Internet was fast and stable.
There is an power outlet below the TV that allow many countries's standard to be plugged into.
Cold and hot water dispenser are available at each floor.

Hotel has no elevator, but they have young staff helping to carry heavy lugguage to guest room.

Although hotel is located near Times Square (KL MonoRail), there is a steep slope to climb, and there is no proper pavement from
top of that steep slope down to the other side where hotel is. Tourists with trolley luggage will have hard time pulling through unless on the road.
There is no proper pavement from LRT Hang Tuah too as there is construction going on. Temporary pavement is very rugged, not suitable for heavy trolley
luggage.

I would say this hotel is very basic. The rooms don't have windows but we only stayed for 2 nights and was out all the time so it was fine by us. However, they checked us in on the first room by the lobby so we don't have much privacy when we opened our door. There's free water dispenser by the lobby which was nice and service was good. We had to wait for the housekeeper to come in later when we ran out of toilet paper and facial paper as they don't leave extra in the room. For its price, you get great value with this hotel.

I stayed here for 3 nights from 18th December. I was offered the new \"wing\" in the next building which is in the midst of renovations - dust, uncarpetted lobby, wires dangling, workers - which I accepted as I found the room was bigger, likewise for the toilet! Lots of ceiling light in the windowless room. Set your alarm clock if you need sunlight to tell if its morning as you wont know when you sleep in a windowless room! The body wash/shampoo smells good. Though there should be a bottle near the sink as well as one has to go to the shower area to get some soap.
There isn't a kettle - but a thermos(that looks like a kettle because there is no plug in it) - fill it with your hot / cold water from the dispenser located outside the room.
The staff - every single one that I came across with - was very helpful and friendly.
Would I stay here again when Im in Kuala Lumpur ? Definately I would!

Not as I expected

For a low budget hotel, the reviews on this place were fairly good which is what made me book. Luckily we were only here for one night before leaving KL. Pros of this place is that it’s really close to Berjaya Times Square. Downsides include the room being on the second floor and there wasn't a lift so we had to get our luggage up six flights of stairs - painful! We found a lizard in our room and when we went to get him out our room he ran under the bed so I felt very uncomfortable for the rest of the stay, including trying to sleep. A few marks on the bed sheets and pillows. Corridor smelt outside our room but luckily not in our room. I think it’s a smoke free hotel but we did see a guest vaping. Also, what no one has mentioned in reviews before is that this place is right by a nightclub, and you can hear music and feel the bass when led in bed till the early hours.

bad. cannot sleep for 3 nights as other hotel guests keep slamming the door at 2am-3am. Its probably 2 groups of friends in different rooms and they keep going to the next room. very frequent opening and closing the door like every 10mins mins interval. reception did not help on this case.

This hotel offers clean, comfortable and modern rooms with an interesting design for a very reasonable price. The staff is truly welcoming and friendly. Location is fine, at walking distance of Berjaya Time Square, the KL Monorail Low Yat Plaza and Jalan Alor Food Street. Recommended.

Worth the money!

Tbh I wasn’t expecting much from this hotel but the first thing that impressed me was the staff as they were very polite through my phone calls with them and they even remembered my name when I arrived at the hotel. They also allowed us to check in close to 2 hours earlier than the official check in time and extended our checkout by 2 hours without a charge. Only downside was that there’s no lift so it gets a bit tiring to carry your luggages but fret not, the staff will carry it to your room for you if you need assistance. The superior twin room was much more spacious than we expected and the room was pretty clean just that I would advise to bring insect repellent as I got a few mosquito bites when I first stepped in. It was easy to access to the water dispenser at every floor and the ironing board was also useful for us though it’s located along the hallway! Overall, good location as well as it was right behind Berjaya Times Square and it only took us a while to figure out the routes around the area! Will definitely be back for future short stays as it’s worth the price you pay for :)

Wifi are strong and high speed. The room may feel small, but its enough to fit 2 person. The light are quite warm, felling to sleep. Cozy place ...relaxing

Toilet is clean however toilet bowl needs a good scrub, other than that rooms clealiness needs slightly more thorough cleaning, linen and towels were clean. Ceria Hotel is a A+++ place for budget travelers like me. I booked a room for 4 nights months ago for my 5 day vacation in Kuala Lumpur from 28 September to 02 October. When I arrived at CH at around 6PM, I was surprised that (Ate) Jane, the desk officer at that time was my compatriot. Yey!!! And I was more surprised when she informed me that my accomodation was upgraded from single bed to twin beds. That was a blessing. The room (including the bathroom) was so clean, cozy, and in minimalistic design. I enjoyed also the amenities like the cable TV and the coffee/tea. One thing that I considered CH above all was that its close proximity to the Berjaya Times Square, Alor Street, and the premier malls in KL like Pavilion, Sephora, and Fahrenheit 88. All I can say that I had a fantastic stay in CH. And I'm looking forward to stay once more when I go back in KL, and hopefully my reservation/accomodation will upgrade again. :D

Over the years I have stayed in all types of hostels and motels at even cheaper rates and never has it been this bad. The blankets were stained, the room full of bugs, the hammering noise of some sort of construction at 6am...not to mention I could hear whenever the guy next door went to the toilet. We booked the room for 3 nights but barely survived the first one and checked out the next morning. You can find better places for a couple of dollars more, this isn't worth ruining your holiday. (Don't believe the pictures)

Everything was good. However when we asked the staff to guide us if our flight was in KLIA or KLIA 2, and after he checked for us he said KLIA. But then when we reached there we found out it was not, and it was in KLIA 2 instead. So end up we had to take a train there.

But nevertheless it was definitely a good stay and great location!

This was my second stay here, the hotel is in a great location with the monorail and shopping mall very close by. Staff were always friendly, polite and professional and the hotel itself is good value. Room was clean and comfortable enough, with all mod cons. It's easy to walk to many places from the hotel, Chinatown is about 25 minutes away, once you view the city from the monorail, you realise some places are closer than you think.. however, the train is cheap, reliable and convenient. I really enjoyed my stay at Ceria and I would certainly stay again if I visit Kuala Lumpur.

Although location is good & hotel staffs are friendly, the hotel room that we stayed in was not good. Firstly, the toilet floor is dirty; no basic toiletries provided, only bath towels, no hand towel at all. Secondly, there are mosquitos in the room, full of blood when I hit them! My partner and I went to Malaysia for a short vacation and we stayed here for 5 nights and 6 days. I only booked two days because I was afraid my online payment wont work but it did and the staffs were very helpful in booking me for the rest of our stay we paid cash by that time. Room is being cleaned everyday but not that clean though it can be tolerable, they dont really change sheet everyday unless you ask. They have a cafe just downstairs, wifi os working pretty well if you're a working man on vacation. Very close t Berjaya mall walking distance and you can take a monorail from there. Near Jalan alor which is walking distance, near chinatown 6 rm going there by taxi also in chinatown you can walk going to the chinese and indian temples. Staffs are very helpful i give them two thumbs up. Youll have a good value for your money in this hotel.

The hotel doesn't have a lift, but we stayed at level 1 (they have 3 levels).
Room is tidy, looks nice and new and is cleaned everyday though it is a bit small.
Tell you Taxi driver to go slowly at the turn from main road, the hotel is located at a small road on the left hand of a bridge. It's a one-way road, no turn around here so take note.

Ceria Hotel - For a hassle free stay in KL

Nice little 'no frills' hotel for budget travelers. Close to Berjaya Times Square. Within walking distance of all the shopping and dining areas. The rooms are a tad small, but comfortable and clean, with all basic amenities. The water dispensers on each floor are very useful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is safe for women travelers, especially if in a group or as a couple.
All in all, we had a very good experience, and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting KL.

Indifferent staff towards the guests

The hotel staff did not clean the rooms at all although we stated there for 5 days.

No telecommunication connetion in the ground floor

There was no Celcom telephone line in the ground floor room. Digi was also very limited. I had to go to the reception area to get a connection.
As my stay was for business it was no good.
Also no drinking water in the room but had to get it from outside.

Could hear the room in front slam closed their room door. Also construction happening next building.

But overall, the room was comfortable for the rate paid.

Very good hotel close to KL's main shopping district. I would stay there again.
