The room had a water leak in the bathroom, we were a family of 5 and provided 2 single beds and a king for the adults, we asked for a extra single bed on 3 occasions and were ignored.

Our overall feel is that the hotel is very old. We booked this due to it's close proximity to Zepp and the new Mitsui outlet Lalaport. They gave me a room with a lousy view. The toilet is leaking, the hairdryer was missing, no hand towels, the floor carpet has stains. But I was glad they provided room slippers. The buffet breakfast spread was quite meh. The only thing I like about the room is that it's quite spacious.

The online images of the hotel do not reflect its current condition. While the staff were genuinely welcoming and helpful, the overall state of the hotel and its facilities was outdated and poorly maintained. The room itself was disappointing, with uncomfortable beds, visible mould on the ceiling, and a poorly maintained bathroom.

During my stay, a special function was being held at the hotel, which made moving around the property difficult. The lifts were extremely slow, and unfortunately, guests were not advised in advance about the event — information that would have influenced my decision to book.

The buffet was also below expectation, with food that was neither of good quality nor representative of Malay culture.

Overall, I did not find the stay to be good value for money and, regrettably, would not return.

Very good Hotel and Rooms on the Executive Floor

Back to back bookings. Room 2509 was very good, spacious sitting area and Bedroom spacious. Bed comfortable. All quiet and clean. All staff very friendly and pleasant.
Executive Lounge we used daily. Most staff were very friendly and polite. Food and drinks good. Just needs bit improvement in variety.
Although no Bell Boys still staff helped us with Large Luggage.

Steer clear of Furama Bukit Bintang - bad hotel

I have stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions over the last 5 years.

This time it was probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had in staying at a hotel.

The front desk service is shocking. They are there to greet and help guests. They don’t.

The room was dated.

The shower was blocked and all the water just overflowed in to the whole of the bathroom. Disgusting.

The sink was blocked. Disgusting,

The two TV’s in the room didn’t work. Poor.

There was no room service on one of the days. I asked the guy who was cleaning the room next door if he was going to be cleaning my room. He said he was.

When I came back to the room a couple of hours later the room was not cleaned, so I asked the guy who was a few rooms away whether he was going to be cleaning the room. He said it was not on his list - if I wanted it cleaning I should go to reception to request it.

I went to reception and the guy there (who needs some training in customer service) said that he would get in to it straight away and get it sorted for me.

When I got back 3 hours later the room was not cleaned. I had to go down again to reception and the guy just completely blanked me. I asked to speak to the Duty Manager who didn’t seem a bit interested.

I am in Kuala Lumpur for 18 nights and it was my intention to extend my stay after these first 4 nights.

However, after the issues I’d had and the appalling customer service I booked elsewhere in the same area.

I would strongly NOT recommend this hotel.

Very easy going and friendly. Also very accommodating. We turned up earlier than checkin and they said if the room is ready they will let us checkin and they did. They also let us hold luggage there for hours after we checked out. We had an amazing experience.

This hotel shows its age, but the surroundings make up for it. The sheets are clean and comfortable, and the rooms are spacious. The hotel is conveniently located next to a mall called LaLaPort and is surrounded by a variety of shops and eateries.

One standout feature is the digital service, where you can scan a QR code to order room service or check out directly from your room.

is supposed to be a smoke free but room with a smell when go in.
no mineral water provided but have got a dispenser near lift.
worst is the wifi.. DAMN weak.. i didnt realise when i was watching drama it switched to my data.. depleted a few GB of my data.

note that the airport transfer outside the hotel DOESNT BELONG to the hotel (one of the staff told me so)
they anyhow charge... a day before departure, i enquire and they say for a 10-seater, MYR200. but next day when i wanted to book with them, they quoted my MYR250. They exploit on our needs. So do not pay > MYR200. a grab premium vell fire for 8-seater cost MYR180+toll MYR10
to me if the booth is in front of the hotel, then hotel should be responsible or warn them over exploitation. this is going to tarnish hotel reputation. Hotel cannot just push away all responsibility just be saying.. oh they not belong to hotel.

The location is good as it is next to BBCC and my preferred LRT station of Hang Tuah. There are reasonably priced hawker food stalls nearby and Time Square and other Bukit Bintang shopping malls within walking distance. Like other places in the city most of the roads do not have proper pedestrian paths.
The hotel is getting old and would be good if there is some refurbishment. The rooms are clean and good sized but room amenities seem to be less than in the past. The towels are not fluffy at all. They need to be replaced. I don't like the idea of water dispenser on every floor. I prefer bottled water as well as jugs for boiling water.
The food at breakfast is pretty good but after 3 days it gets a bit tiresome.
Overall the staffin reception, housekeeping and restaurant are very friendly and helpful.

The place itself is still okay just might need more updating. But there aren’t really anything around the hotel. Walking during daytime is fine, when it turns dark it doesn’t feel safe because the street lights are limited & no shops are open nearby. Walking at night really is scary because there’s no proper walkway leading around the hotel.

Had issue to check in, I was even late for check in but had to wait for another half an hour before they find my booking. Then the room door kept locking me out and would work. One time I needed water and there is no water in the room you have to take a jug to a water dispenser in the corridor and went out there but couldn't open my room door. So had to go to reception in a bath rope , so humiliated. 😭

I have stayed at Furama many times over the last 10 years. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. The prices are reasonable and I prefer the location because I am very familiar with the area. As an athlete and daily lap swimmer, I suggest the pool cleaning staff have the pool clean and ready at the 7 am opening time. Each morning the staff would begin cleaning the pool at 7 am. With decades of regular lap swimming experience and having stayed at numerous hotels, and lived many years in Asia. I’ve trained in many pools. The Furama pool is not cleaned correctly and there is often debris in the water, and the water is cloudy. During this visit, I stayed for three weeks. The pool was basically in the same unclean condition every day.

Still a great hotel but standards are slipping

This is still a great place to stay but standards are unfortunately dropping.
House keeping has been reduced to every 3rd day and several delights that were offered in the Executive Lounge are no longer available, including relaxing there outside breakfast and afternoon tea times, where in the past you could enjoy a free hot drink and some nibbles. I hope these reduced services are reflected in the prices, but all in all this is still a great place to stay.

This is actually a 3 star hotel according to me.

The hotel was nearby to lalaport mall and Berjaya Times Square. 5mins walking distance. Imbi station is walking distance also. But u got to cut thru some alleys and mud paths to get there. Hotel is very old, you can see wood chipping off in the rooms and the common areas. Toilet is super run down. I couldn’t accept the fact that it’s called 4 star hotel. Maybe 3 star I would agree. Breakfast options were too little and many of them were tasting bad. I had breakfast there for only 1 day and decided to eat out or order via grab for the rest of the days. Terrible breakfast and I would suggest not to take it.

The current policy of the hotel is that for stay of 3 days or less, there is NO housekeeping !!

I had to asked many times for fresh towels & toiletries, and it takes like 3 hours to deliver these small items - it's like having to beg for them !!

The house cleaning staff are nowhere to be found and seems to be in hiding. Once, I saw one of them and when asked, said he has been instructed to only clean certain specific rooms, and they cannot acceded to guest's requests for cleaning or toiletries - all such request must be approved by their supervisor (whose identity & location he said he cannot disclose!!)

This is not a new place but well maintaind and staff is very friendly. The best part was the playground onsite (RN 5 per entry), outdoors swimming pool and a small indoors exercise room. A great place for a family holiday. Also good location close to Berjajaya Time Square is a plus.

I was there at 2pm for check in as mentioned by hotel.

There's self check in kiosk for us but after register we still need to queue up for one hour to get our room key card.
Lack of arrangement.

Room cleanliness is worse than expected.

Staff service is average, none of them have smiley face during check in process. And they always take more than 20 minutes per check in, this need to be improve to avoid the messy check in at lobby.

Check out is smooth.

One of the lift is down during this long holiday.

Bit of an eye opener when we arrived fantastic foyer bags taken from cab to our room very helpful reception staff. Terrific room on the 25th floor with amazing views of the Petronas Towers. Lovely comfy bed superb bathroom always kept spotless clean towels everyday. Great breakfast. Enjoyed our stay highly recommend.

How Is this place a four star? My room looked nothing like the images. Old stale, bugs on the bed. Shower leaked and had a broken holder. Bed was really uncomfortable as was the old room. Room service was a joke borderline hilarious. Check in was bad - in-line with the general attitude of the staff. No one gave a damn but the hotel was packed. Always a wait for lifts. Not one to complain but this place was awful. Immediate area is covered in roadworks and resembles a shanty town. stayed at furamas before including in Singapore. Won’t ever again.

Booked 2 bedroom family suite. Very spacious with seperate dining & living area. Room was comfortable & clean. Bad experience was that we waited till 5 pm to check in as room not ready. Compensated by hotel with 1 day foc breakfast. Fair enough.

The only setback is super narrow hotel parking. Park at basement is better. Location not so fantastic even though just behind Berjaya Times Square. You need to cross the roadside construction everywhere and can be very dangerous.
