Never again!

Bad experience at the hotel!
The gym is under reconstruction but it is not mentioned on the website and I booked this hotel because of the gym. I only spend there 1 night in stead of 3.
Also for breakfast in the morning they have an a la carte restaurant and a buffet restaurant, you can choose where you want to have breakfast but at the check in there was no choice given. Will never return to this hotel again.

The hotel is still within reachable distance from KLCC. Everything was good except two things which i do not like. You can hear train sound every now and then. The breakfast was having very limited option and lacks taste. Only apple and oranges in fruits option.

Stayed 3 nights only because I had to because of event location next door at Help College, otherwise I would have run off after the first night.

1. Hotel lights were extremely dim everywhere. Inadequate lighting especially in the room
2. The bed was itchy and I had to deal with a bite on my face after the first night.
3. The toilet was disgustingly filthy. The bidet spray was rusty and dirty, so every time I had to use it, i was afraid of getting an infection. The shower stall wall was filthy. Housekeeping is an issue here.
4. The gym is located in a tiny room with very little ventilation as there is no window and feels claustrophobic. Equipment was basic. Staff fixed the lights and thread mill machine when I asked if it’s usable.

The hotel must thank their staff as they had an amazing smile always and are always there to assist you.

I would ask for a full refund if I could as I have stayed in Ibis brand hotels around the world and this is clearly not reflective of the brand.

Nice room for the price.

My second stay at this hotel, same impression as my first stay as the reception is not very professional and they seem inexperienced. I still like the room where it is large and the breakfast is decent for its price but the cleanliness can be improved. Not recommended for those who need to drive in and out the hotel as there isn’t any free parking available.

very good buffet breakfast and service from reception and maintenance was excellent ( we changed rooms some things not working.) Area close to food restaurants. Metro was very easy 5 minutes walk and about 20 minutes to center of town on the train. Rooms could have been cleaner.

It is good hotel. But i think management should educate and put chinese wording in the lift. The tourists used squeeze in the lift and caused the lift couldn't move.
And, the front desk staff shouldn't requested deposits receipt when check out. After presented receipt should give it back to us.

Doesn't feel budget even though prices are reasonable.
Breakfast is lackluster at best.
Love the flat rate secured indoor parking. Connected to MRT/LRT if you're not driving.
Area is pretty dodgy at night.

Good as a budget hotel

Everything was okay, except for 3 things:
1. The shower head was broken.
2. The coffee cups were disgustingly dirty. Most probably they just rinse it without using soap and sponge.
3. The cleaner knocked on the door 2 times (at 9am and 11am) just to ask when we will be leaving. Check-out time was 12pm. They should wait until after that time before they come knocking and disturbing guests.

Over-all I rate it 3 out of 5.

Worst Frint desk staff experience

It coukd have been good if nit because of a Certain Khanur who is the front Desk staff or receptionist who assisted us on our check on oir stay Back cominh from Singapore... i have never experiince such a poor and inefficient service in my entire travels. He is the most rude, arrogant and disrespectful front desk attendant I have meet in my entrire travels. I Ask the Management of IBIS Fraser KL. As An Accor member also I plead to check on his attitude and He treats clients who infact pre paid thier stay and expecting to be treated well! I coukd have rated this hotel still 4 star as it is accesable, still clean and affordable chain of hotel. Infact its my 4th time of staying here everytime I visit KL.. But because of the poor service from the one of the staff, I am niw thinkng of not visiting the Hotel again!

This is about my stay on 21/11/2017

Sorry for the late review. As i felt very dissapointed and its useless for me to write another review because i see no improvement from my previous stays. This hotel is one of my option for quick check in and easy access. HOWEVER, fridge always not functioning and smelly. floor is dirty with stain (not properly mopped). shower head loose ( cant be in fix position ). Blood stain on pillow case. Broken wall mounting plug socket. Very noisy and loud from foreigner guest after midnight.

New refrigerator, previous stay was unhappy with the broken mini fridge and room plug. Please fix the plug socket as its just about time before it fall out completely. Cleanliness can still be improve. Perfume stain from previous guest are still on the blanket. Floor was sandy. Sink is clogged.

Good location, rooms are neat even though not very spacious. Breakfast is ok, but was very crowded when I stayed there. Paid parking is available at the basement for a charge of MYR 6.5. You need to pay and get the coupon from the reception at checkout. Otherwise, the charges are higher when you exit from the parking

I leave a remark to the hotel that my bf is expecting his birthday and we came into the room with balloons and very nicely and simple decorated bed. We both were so amused we had a balloon fight. Memorable stay :)

Room was cosy. Were told that will have city view but all i get was the back view. So i missed out all fireworks view that new year night.

Room, shower head too high, shower head was broken n dripping. Spotted n smacked dead two junior cockroaches. Hair dryer was broken but fixed much later after 2 times reminder. I urgently needed it and he fixed it at 2.3am for me. Thanks.

No sound proofing, can hear next door room conversations. Limited breakfast choice options. Hotel popular with tour groups, which makes it difficult for others ... having to wait in queue for service. Location isolated. Staff do make an effort to make stay comfortable.

This is a very good and safe hotel. Nobody apart from hotel guest with a key can access the living areas.The dinner though I was late was great free breakfast was great excellent.There is nothing to fault about this hotel . Staff excellent everything working smoothly. Its the best in the last 15 hotels I have stayed in in my travels throughout South East Asia.

One small issue is its far from the airport but the trip is worth it because there is no scalping with Kuala Lumpur airport taxis

It was a last minute booking while driving up north. Checked in just after midnight. Area seems pretty dodgy at night, with a couple night clubs around.
Thankfully that dodginess didnt extend into the hotel complex. Parking space was ample and secure.
Check in was a breeze and staff were extremely friendly and helpful even at that late hour. Room was a decent size, clean, bright and airy. bathroom was clean with good hot water pressure. amenities in the room and bathroom was good. it was a quiet comfortable night's sleep.
Breakfast was lacklustre to say the least, mostly localised breakfast items, food was cold on the buffet line.
there's a free shuttle bus to ikea if that floats your boat. overall worth the money i paid.

Slow to check in. arrived at hotel but was told need to wait for 1 hour for the room as room is not available. far from shopping luckily there's a train nearby. room was ok. breakfast need to make more variety as everyday almost the same and when u go down late there will be not much choice to eat. no toilet at lobby. need to go 4th floor to go toilet.

Room is reasonable, however, noise insulation from the nearby train (200m) is very poor, Can hear the train throughout the day and night.
Breakfast awful - not even have fresh milk and cereals, luckily I didn't bring my child with me and bfast more suitable for Indian and Malay.
Did not replenish the 2 bottle of Water (per day) and tea bag, this shown the hotel have lack of quality control procedure.

Hotel location is rather isolated. It's attached to an abandoned shopping Metro mall but close to Chan So Lin train station. Can't fault the staff, they were lovely but hotel condition needs work. For a budget holiday it forfilled our needs, free buffet breakfast and wifi. But disappointed as choose this hotel over one with a pool because the facilities stated there was a playground, kids club and babysitting service. It only had a kids activity room with not much in it so entertaining an under 5 was difficult. Suggest if staying with kids, take the free hotel shuttle to Petronas and go to KLCC park there's a kids playground with waterpark, or take train to Maluri, only 2 stops away, Sunway Velocity shopping mall has an indoor playground.

Awesome hotel for the price, outstanding service!!

The hotel staff made me feel welcomed and they always smile, very friendly and kind. I felt great staying at this ibis hotel!
The room is nice clean, great design, spacious and comfy. The bed is huge too and cosy. The AC keeps the room temperature comfortable. There's a free to use GYM which was a nice surprise. And every day the breakfast staff very welcoming and caring about the guests - showing great hospitality skills.
2 small issues to mention relating to the room: WiFi is very slow, and shower water pressure is low too.

Hotel ibis Styles KL was a lovely place to walk into the reception. The restaurant was very well run and managed. But that's were it ends!
The rest of the floors are quite dirty in all hallways. The rooms are serviced daily but we seem to have had cockaroachs all the time. We had 3 booked to stay and had issues getting bedding for the sofa couch and extra towels. This happened every night. The complimentary water was hard to come by unless you asked for it and the wifi was exceptionally slow.
The fresh towels were always dirty and smelly.
The hotel itself is kind of out of the way for just about everything you would want to do in KL.
Apart from all this we managed to have a good time.

Nice hotel near Ikea and MyTown mall

Decent size room for 2 pax, with space for luggage, individual aircon unit, basic complimentary toiletries. Thin wall so you can hear other guests talking at the corridor or next room.
Buffet breakfast in spacious room with about 8-9 hot food items, fruits, bread, fruit juices and coffee. Avoid 7-9 am peak period as the crowd can be big but hotel staff did a good job to replenish food, particularly Ms Sonia who provided good service - she even knew I was Accor members and served me good coffee from the machine.
Hotel just next to Chan Sow Lin LRT station which you can access via a overhead covered bridge from building beside the hotel. There is free shuttle from the LRT station to Ikea. MyTown mall which is connected to Ikea is open but not all shops are opened. Some eateries behind hotel but not much shopping there. Hotel provides free shuttle to Pavilion mall and KLCC at 11 am and 12 noon.
Reception staff conversant in English and check-in was relatively smooth.

staff was not anxious to help with airport transportation other than what the hotel offered.
The breakfast was mostly meat and Indian stuff not breakfast items.
Heavy beans and meats and cooked things.
The omlets looked not so hot.

I stayed there for two nights. The location quite hard to find for those who are not familiar with KL City. Room was nice and modern look, but for the buffet breakfast not much choices of food. Seems their market more to foreigners tours group it should serve more variety of meals that shown malaysian dishes such as nasi lemak, malay kueh, roti canai, teowchew porridge, curry/soup noodle. Last but not least all the staff there (FO,F&B,HK) very nice and polite to guest.

location is the issue

There are almost nothing in the area. The building of hotel looks ghost building because no tenants are there except ibis hotel. The escalators are out of order, I needed to bring up and down my large luggage with all my effort. In the end hotel doorman helped me.

Affordable City Hotel

No frills or thrills. What you see is what you get.

But if you're planning to go clubbing and are thinking of booking a hotel to stay the night (or the remaining hours till dawn), this is a good option. It's a 15mins-Grab ride away from Zouk and roughly 20mins-Grab ride to Changkat.

Comfortable, affordable stay

Clean hotel, great service by staff, comfortable vibrant room, affordable price. Location is relatively close to KLCC which is the main reason as to why I selected the hotel. Hotel itself is safe, the only downside is that the area it is located in is slightly unsafe. I would avoid walking around the area at night. However the area is fine during the day.
